I have a question for Splatoon 3 S Rank players

I just got to S Rank. When the season resets and my rank gets put back to A+, do I have to pass the Rank Up Battles again?

I’m so glad people are starting to talk about splatoon 3’s ranking system and how it can basically put a way higher ranking person with a low ranking team or opponents. I saw a lot of x rank badges in S and A ranks and I’d loose almost every time they weren’t on my team. I really hope the system will maybe get a rework because it felt way better in splatoon 2. Now you can just de rank and stay in like A rank and get matched up with easier competition while actual A rankers can’t even enjoy playing the game

I’m genuinely addicted to ranked, so it’s important for me to at least get matched up with people around my skill level

ok so context for this, i was playing a full game and then FOUR PLAYERS DISCONNECTED in the MIDDLE OF THE MATCH!!!!! two from each team apparently ?? and then the game ended and he just ran and i found it hilarious

People who goes to the enemy base and stays there the entire time during splat zones are NOT invited to my pizza party.

I don't talk too much about Splatoon on here but I just feel like spewing shit

I forgot how fun ranked battles (or Anarchy battles, as they're now called) are. Like, a good Rainmaker battle feels soooooooooo damn good.

I just helped my team carry the rainmaker to the fucking goal, of course there was a bit of struggle and my teammates seemed to have no clue what "This Way!" meant sometimes, but it worked out in the end.

And by no means am I master player. Even in Splatoon 2, I usually stuck to Tuef Wars and Salmon Run, which is what I'm doing now, honestly. I'm doing loads of Salmon Run and Tableturf since I already fully beat the story mode (not 100% because some of those levels are too difficult for me to loop back to rn and use another weapon) but I may dip into Rainmaker and shit like that more.

It felt so fucking good to skip one of the initial checkpoints and just zoom to the middle one. My teammates brought it closer to the end and after a bit of fighting, I finally finished us off properly.

Maybe it felt more dramatic and cool because I was listening to El Tango de Roxanne and it crescendoed right when I fucking landed on the final post and I just ahfhdkdifhfjjf!!!!

It felt good! I feel good!

Big Run, was a bit of a let down. It felt more like a unique stage with a wild card than a full blown apocalyptic event. I wish they had included new mechanics like making the overrun stage similar to a shifty station (each one got unique features that will massively change the way you approach a level) or even include a new king salmonoid (which I hope they do next big run).

My first hope was also that I could make my own weapon rotation too. Because, the nozzle for me isn’t a good salmon run weapon. It also removed the feeling of “SQUIDSUS CHRIST THE ENEMY IS COMING! DO YOUR BEST TO PROTECT YOURSELF” vibes.
