Spike fully expecting and preparing to be blamed for Riley’s fuck ups by Buffy herself just has me like 😢😢😢

He’s so accustomed to being EVERYONE’S punching bag he’s like of course i’ll get blamed! And even though he knows it’s not fair to be blamed for what riley did he still feels so guilty having any part in harming Buffy by being the one to show her and not realizing ahead of time how hurt and embarrassed she would be by it all he, a soulless still pretty evil at this point vampire, is twisted up in KNOTS with guilt. Practicing apologies and getting her a fucking present to say sorry 😭😭😭😭😭

NO ONE BESIDES SPIKE EVER PUTS ANY KIND OF EFFORT LET ALONE THIS MUCH EFFORT INTO APOLOGIZING TO BUFFY AND MAKING IT UP TO HER THEY JUST COUNT ON HER ENDLESS FORGIVENESS AND BIG HEART AND SPIKE IS OUT DOING ALL OF THEM AT HIS MOST MORALLY GREY 😭🤚🏻

Also the fact that Buffy doesn’t blame Spike when she did take out her anger at herself on him when it came to Dawn finding out she was the key and still hasn’t done a disinvite spell for Spike after her came into her bedroom in the middle of the night to find her naked in bed?????????
