DAY ONE OF SPIDERBIT THEME WEEK STARTED BY @anonymous-dentist! :D
SELECTED THEME: ROYALS
part of my existing spiderbit royals au, which you can find here :)
All things considered, this gala is actually tolerable.
It's not that Roier hates galas - he likes dressing up, gossiping with townsfolk, participating in a few dances. It's the politics he doesn't like: classist courtiers, uptight generals, all the talk of pacts and trades and treaties, this and that-
Too many negatives and not enough positives.
But this? This is his first gala with Cellbit as his personal guard. As his partner.
There was another gala, months before. Back when Cellbit was still practically a stranger to him, one of the knights who patrolled the parameters of the massive ballroom and down the halls to ensure nothing went awry. Back when suitors were coming up to him left and right, looking to flirt and dance and win his hand alongside his heart. Roier would humor them, but they would never win. Even if it made his parents increasingly exasperated with him.
There will be none of that this time around, though, at least he certainly hopes. This time, things are different. So much different.
In what has to be a first, there's no armor on Cellbit to be found. Instead, the silver metal has been replaced with black and white and deep emerald fabrics; a high-collared shirt and a long coat. The guard's sword is in its sheath attached to his waist, though, veiled from immediate sight by a black cape, and he expects nothing less.
In no uncertain terms, Roier has trouble looking away. But it's fine, because Cellbit keeps looking at him, too, with unadulterated adoration, smiling with such a warm fondness that it makes him melt all over, and he wonders how the hell he went for so long without it.
(There's a lot of other eyes on them at first, too. It makes Cellbit stiff in his vigilance, his face open to the world and not just his world. But Roier's hand barely leaves his.)
(They really do stand out; dark greens and reds contrary to the bright yellow-golds and vivid violets of the prince's parents. A match that could rival, indeed.)
The gala enters its full swing and everything is, well, normal. Tolerable. The prince makes his rounds with the townsfolk, getting his favorite clue into the local drama. Chisme.
The guard accompanies him, too, but occasionally walks off to strike conversation with his own companions, or do his own silent checks around the borders of the ballroom. The latter doesn’t go unnoticed by Roier.
“Ya, mi amor,” he chastises fondly when Cellbit returns once. “Nothing to worry about.”
The band starts playing a tune that makes Roier perk up immediately, and before Cellbit can dispel the recognizable glint in his eye, the guard is being pulled deeper into the ballroom, Roier’s hand sliding into his own as the prince’s free settles on his shoulder.
Cellbit huffs, but he’s anything but upset, especially with the way Roier’s face lights up with a laugh, pressing closer still.
(And he remembers why dancing isn’t so bad, after all. If it means this.)
(They’re getting married. Married.)
The song ends with Roier getting twirled out with a laugh and a flourish. Then, it’s clear he gets another idea, tugging Cellbit’s hand lightly. “Sigueme, sigueme.”
They’re slipping out of the ballroom and down a hall, going up the stairs. Their final destination is revealed when the prince pushes open one of the double doors and they’re hit with a cool summer breeze.
“They’re going to notice we’re gone.” Cellbit quirks a brow.
“And? I saw the look on my father’s face. I am not listening to another general if I can help it.”
The guard hums, smiling amusedly. “Brilliant solution.”
“I’m full of them, no?” Roier responds.
“Sometimes.” The quip is met with a gasp and a smack to Cellbit’s shoulder. Roier pulls back in faux hurt, hand to his heart and everything, but then Cellbit’s hands are on his waist and he’s pulled right back. The prince pouts. “Hijo de puta.”
Cellbit only smiles knowingly, and Roier feels positively fuzzy. Their lips connect, and he’s flush against his love once more, arms circling snugly around the guard’s neck.
(A fire burns. All it took was patience.)
(He’s never letting go, now.)
When they finally pull apart, Roier rests his head against Cellbit’s shoulder, and they hold each other tighter still.
They can’t hear the music from the ballroom anymore, but it doesn’t matter. The night is their guide, as it always has been, and all is well.

As soon as he kills the first Blanket Demon. He simply does Not care. Like obviously he feels a little bad about it, but he’s in a desperate situation. After all, he’s only human.

thinking thoughts about a spiderbit arranged marriage royal au
nothing concrete obviously 'cause my brain doesn't work like that but maybe cellbit is philza son (together with bagi, baghera, chay and tallulah, and if that is too much for you i am adding more characters to the family) and maybe they are all avians and they live in a kigndon of floating islands or mountains because i want it to be cold for aesthetic reasons
and roier is foolish kid and he is not going to be the king of their kingdom cause they adopted leo first, but he still needs to marry, and etoiles could be his personal knight, and jaiden and tina are his ladies-in-waiting (does princes have that? idk) because i also need teaduo and roseduo and fedsisters, and they live in a more tropical place for aesthtic reasons again, can't u blame?
and roier would be totaly agaisnt their marriage cause he is a free spirit and he wants to marry for love and all that shit, and cellbit is his dads boy so he is doing his best to fullfil his job and make roier feel welcome in his home (i love his awkward gay wet cat energy even if he is a owl hybrid in this au)
it would be a cellbit fell first and roier fell harder kinda au, and it would have flower crowns, and the classic library scenes, and stargazin, and balls, and other stuff
and uh cellbit flying with roier because it would be funny and sweet
and lots of siblings and platonic relationships moments
and that's all i could think of, my brain won't be able to process another thought for a while so byeee

Since I briefly mentioned my headcanon on Ponyhead eventually having a child, I figured I may as well share the names of my personal next generation of heirs in Mewni (I choose to ignore the ending of the series even in more “canon compliant” fanfic timelines so the Butterfly family are still royals). Exact details and certain aspects of their characters change depending on the AU, but the names and basic characterization stay the same.

Some crossover kids, a couple of crackship kids and one kellco kid I did a couple of months ago. They are all from an AU project started by @verifythearts in wich sevenal artist are working together.
Otoño (or Autumn, brunette with broken infinity marks) is the daughter of Star Butterfly and Morty Smith (from Rick and Morty) in a post-cleave universe. Due a birth deffect she's missing an amigdala and that causes her to not experience fear... wich ends up being more dangerous than people think. Mix that with her being easily bored, very impulsive and extremly smart (but not to Rick’s level) and you have someone that left on her own can be a danger to herself and others, but who doesn't have a bad bone on her body.
Mercedes (dark skin brunette, designed by royal-kitten-adopts on deviantart) is the daughter of Kelly and Marco and Otoño's childhood friend, born blind due a birth defect. While she was trained since childhood by her parents and constantly works out, making her a very skilled fighter, she's more interested in romance novels (well, audiobooks) and fashion. Similar to her parents she's a bit shy when meeting new people and takes her some time to actually make friends. Similar to teen Marco, she holds the title of "the safe kid".
They were both around 23-24 when they finished university and were returning home when they found their unvierse freezing. Otoño got her mother's wand, that turned intro a refill for her father's interdimensional portal, and with both they (along with Otoño's chocolate labrador-laser dog, Boris) managed to get to another universe, finding they weren't the only ones with that problem. They are both currently around 27-28 years now, and are helping around.
This is just a closeup of Starlight’s marks and wand. Gea’s weapon is also a wand, but can only make light-based attacks/spells, and a small reference of her gem’s shape (I still can’t make the actual gem).
The twins Starlight (with cheekmarks) and Hydragea "Gea" (blue dress) are the daughters of Star Butterfly and Steven Universe. Before their world was frozen Starlight was a costal engineer (mayored in ambiental preservation) and Gea was an artist looking for a job, now they try and help around with how they can and try to find what they want to do with their lifes. Starlight has the wand since she had cheekmarks, while Gea somehow was born with an hydragea-shaped diamond on her belly like her father. They were both 23 years old when their world was frozen, and are currently almost 27 years old. I had the concept and some design sketches for Starlight since around 2018 but never finished due personal reasons.
And finally, we have Hunter, the son of Penélope Spiderbite and Tom Lucitor and Heliana, the daughter of star Butterfly and Slime boy. They are based on a couple of SCPs, can you guess wich ones? ;) Also had the idea of those ones since around 2019 but didn't have motivation to do it due someone harrasing me and causing my mental health to decline in 2020. Not fully happy with Heliana's design (wanted her to look more like slime) so I may try to redraw her.

More Future AU Kids!
Wisteria Spiderbite, the eldest daughter of Slick and Bloom. Much like her father, she is a bit of a loose cannon, preferring to goof off and seek out a fun time rather than tend to her responsibilities as a royal. She is a flirty, fun, and excitable young woman who loves testing out her skills on the battlefield. Though not a titan, her biology and nymph abilities make her one of the most powerful young warriors in mewni. Though she loves combat, her healing abilities are unrivaled by anyone, save her younger sister Azalea. She has an interest in Dorado Butterfly, who she often tags along with on missions alongside Fum and Sandor. She is one of the only ones who could be considered a friend to Scent Johansen, and the two meet together and spar regularly.
Sandor Slayton, the son of Breeze and Wyot. Though a talented and incredibly capable young man, he is lazy and would prefer to blend into the background, only putting forth effort whenever his mother or princess Sagitta pushes him to. Because of his laziness and demeanor, people often question if he deserves his spot among the Zodiac’s ranks, and he is often challenged for his spot. But when serious his opponents quickly find out that his skills and abilities are nothing to be laughed at. His magical ability the “Primordial Eyes” didn’t seem to come from either of his parents, and are a mystery. And though powerful it comes with quite a backlash. With his friend Sagitta now going off to become a scissor enforcer with her grandmother Hekapoo, he is usually sent along with Dorado, Wisteria, and Fum on missions.
Azalea Spiderbite, the youngest daughter of Slick and Bloom. She is very shy and timid, and people often overlook her since she doesn’t speak up much. But she is one of the youngest titans of her generation, and quite talented for her age. She is the next guardian of the Great Tree, and her healing magic already rivals that of her mother. Though she is powerful, she prefers to avoid fighting and will only do so in the most dire of situations. She is close with Aqua Butterfly Alexander Lapkus, and also is rather fond of Vander Kelpbottom (much to everyone’s surprise). Though she is a rather mild mannered girl, when angered she can become rather dangerous.
Simmer Ashland, the daughter of Sputter and Dottie. A mischievous and energetic child who strives to become a great warrior like her father. Though not as loud and boisterous as her father, she inherited his stubbornness and drive, along with her mother’s cleverness. She loves reading about all the adventures her parents went on across mewni, and wants to grow up to have lots of adventures of her own. Her magical ability “Boom Bubble” is quite useful, but she still doesn’t really have the hang of it yet. She often tries to tag along with and challenge Turq. When he isn’t there she trains with her aunt Topaz or “big sis” Delphine.

THEYRE FINALLY BACK AFTER ALL THIS TIME !! a technical follow-up to my second fic in the royals au, which you can read here :>
"Marry me."
"Sempre."
…
"When should we return?"
It's Cellbit who asks. They're sitting in an inn bedroom, managing to secure a place for the night courtesy of Roier being familiar with the owner. The prince refused to go back to the castle right away, and the guard was more than willing to accompany him down into the town instead.
"No sé. Maybe tomorrow night. I want them to worry." Roier huffs. "I'm very angry with them."
"I know. Me desculpa." Cellbit sighs. He glances at the prince, his prince, gently setting a hand on his thigh after a moment. "We're going to figure it out, though. Together."
"Sí, sí." Roier starts to smile, placing his hand over Cellbit's and watching as the guard flips his hand over, lacing their fingers together. "I don't care what they say, anymore. Either they let us get married, or we run away. Find someone else to marry us in some other town, you know?"
"I know about this empty cabin outside a kingdom north of here. Nobody lives there, it's deep in the woods, but close enough to where getting to the town isn't too big of a problem. I don't think anyone would find us there unless we showed them."
"No mames, we could be hermits. No more royal duty shit," he laughs. "Maybe we could even take Richarlyson with us. Or, he could come visit us."
"Definitely." Cellbit pauses a moment. "Are you... sure about running away? One-hundred percent sure?"
"Cellbit. Gatinho." Roier shifts his body, free hand grabbing Cellbit's shoulder. "Mi culito de arroz.” The guard’s brow quirks, laughing. “¿Por qué te ríes? This is- This is very serious, you know?”
“Claro, claro.” Cellbit only laughs more. “Dulce ojos.”
Roier smacks his arm, and the two fall into a fit of laughter, his head falling onto his lover’s shoulder.
It’s not that often he sees Cellbit like this: open, physically and figuratively. His armor is completely off, something Roier has only seen a mere few times, and his laugh and similarly odd sense of humor are some things the prince doesn’t get to hear nearly enough during the day when he’s on duty.
(He wants to hear it for the rest of his life. Wants to see the armor become situational, especially that stupid helmet always covering that handsome face, so he can spend his time holding warm skin and not cold metal.)
(He’s going to get it, whether it goes according to plan or not.)
When the laughter dies down, Roier’s expression becomes serious, and Cellbit’s follows suit when both of his hands are held in the other’s. “I am… two-hundred percent sure about this, Cellbit. I choose you, no matter what, okay? Te amo.”
He surprises himself a little with the last sentence, and it seems he surprises Cellbit too judging by the way his eyes widen slightly, but he decides to double down.
(It’s the truth. No use running from it after he ran towards the man in question.)
(They’ve come this far.)
The prince lets go of one of the guard’s hands to cup his face, looking him straight in his piercing eyes and praying Cellbit can feel every bit of sincerity within him. “Te amo con todo mi corazón. Only you.”
Cellbit leans into his touch, eyes closing, and Roier feels so positively enamored his heart could stop.
It’s silent for a few seconds, then Cellbit’s eyes open back up. “Eu te amo.” They flicker up to Roier’s, knowingly. “Meu rei.”
Roier huffs, but smiles the brightest he has all night, taking Cellbit’s face in both of his hands and pulling him into a long kiss.
The warmth is euphoric. This. This is what he needs, now and always and forever. And now that it’s back in his veins, he wondered how he ever let the feeling go in the first place. Why give up this, for the sake of someone else?
(Why give up his happiness, for the sake of someone else?)
(Never again.)
When they finally pull apart, drawing heavy breaths, Roier presses their foreheads together, a smile already inching back onto his face. “Mi rey.”
The guard flushes, and the prince hopes he can remember the smile on his face forever. And, feeling like they’ve already been apart for far too long, closes the little gap between their lips once more.
So long as they’re together, everything will be alright.

been thinking about the emo fantasy au. especially spiderbit and how cute they r. what were their first impressions of each other? and how exactly did roier get cellbit to warm up to him in the beginning?
Okay so Cellbit was just like “oh gods another guard, great, just what I needed -_-” but Roier was like “I’m bored and I’m very much not a knight and this dude seems bored so like. We might as well be bored together”
What really got Cellbit’s attention at first was the way Roier treated him, because he wasn’t really treated as like. A prince. He was just a guy, not the supposedly-cursed prince that everybody- guards included- stayed away from. Because Roier treated him as an equal, and that was so sudden and new to Cellbit that he couldn’t help but pay attention to him
Like Roier would come in and slack off on his guard duties by hiding out with Cellbit in the library. Sometimes he’d read, oftentimes he’d sketch something out on a notepad he’d steal from Cellbit. He wouldn’t always try and strike up a conversation; most of their earlier hangouts were them just sitting in the same room existing in the same space. And when he would talk to Cellbit, it wouldn’t be about his “curse” or about the royal family or the war. It would be him asking what Cellbit was reading or what he was writing and if Roier could be a side character or the murder victim, or it would be Roier complaining about the rest of the staff or the food or his bed or the weather
He never expected Cellbit to talk back, but Cellbit eventually did, and they got along immediately
After all, Roier was the first person to really treat Cellbit as a person in years. He didn’t care that he was a prince or that he was “cursed” or anything, he just wanted a friend, and he got one

Svtfoe au: Jushtin and Recluza’s Marriage
As stated in this ask, Recluza’s uncle (King Deciduous) was trying to set her up with various heirs or royals to try and get a political alliance out of it. This was all done when she was 15. He wasn’t going to marry her off right away, but he just wanted to get a head start so he could arrange the plans.
Her father (Conifer) forced Deciduous to stop trying to set her up once she officially announced she was dating Jushtin. Conifer appealed to his brother by saying that, even if Lyric was a bad Queen, it would be exceptionally rare to have a male Butterfly marry into the Spiderbite family (I hc that most Butterflies were born female, for some reason). Deciduous liked the idea of a “once in a lifetime opportunity”, and decided it would be fine since Recluza wasn’t his daughter, so he wouldn’t have to deal with Jushtin on a daily basis.
There was actually no set political gain from their marriage, but it did help pave the way for a better relationship between the kingdoms. It also, unfortunately, paved the way for Eclipsa and Shastacan’s marriage.
Sinew didn’t like Jushtin for various reasons (mainly her being a snob and thinking he was undignified) but she liked Solaria. And since Jushtin and Recluza had opened the path to a Spiderbite/Butterfly marriage, Sinew and Solaria arranged one between Eclipsa and Shastacan.

them idk cellbit falls in love at first sight cause he is a viadinho emocionado and then something something happens and they have to take roier with them cause why not, if they want their prince back they have to pay us

Toffebraury Day 28: AU/Cosplay
From a Dimension where the Spiderbites are in charge of Mewni, treat the Monsters worse than the Butterflies did and the Darkest Spell was delivered by one, here comes: Lizard Noir!
Apperance
He had the same apperance as Canon! Toffee, but after being cursed by the mother of Penelope Spiderbite, the back of his afected hand has a white/cream spider symbol and half of his right arm has turned dark purple (just like Canon! Eclipsa)
His eyes and some part of his tail changed to the same color. He now has black eyelids that could pass as heavy makeup (he doesn't have a problem with that)
His hair has turned white/cream and he has dark purple veins all across his body that resembles a Spiderman suit
He wears a outfit similar to Spider Noir. and part of the suit Canon! Toffee wears. The piece of clothing around his fedora, his tie and his glove are made from the same cape his Rasticore used to wear. The same can be said about his boots (it belonged to Rast)
Because the spell affected his Septarian metabolism, this Toffee is not as tall as Canon! Toffee, being just a little taller than an average adult human.
Personality
He is an anti hero at best. He embraces the "With great power comes great responsibility" philosophy but still makes some selfish acts for his amusement.
He sometimes yearns for company, as he was forced into isolation since other monsters stayed away from him due to being cursed.
The only monster who was always by his side was his best friend and soldier Rasticore, but he died after being hit in the chest with a powerful spell from a Spiderbite soldier. Toffee was very destroyed after that and blames himself for not being there at that time.
He tried to help some monsters with his newfound powers, but ended up killing them, so he decided that staying away from every creature was the best.
He can be very sarcastic and soft spoken like Canon! Toffee, but he has the same Edgelord energy as Spider Noir from the Spiderverse movie.
He believes himself to be a walking disaster machine, an abomination to Septarians, somebody who can't really control his emotions even though he seems so stoic all the time, etc (boi doesn't have the best self esteem in all of Mewni, you know)
But he hides all his insecurities with a mysterious, sometimes playful and sarcastic actitude. The reason he can't control his powers very well is that he has anxiety for all that he's been through.
Powers
He lost completely his regenerative habilities, but gained other interesting powers.
He can shoot purple webs with his affected hand and the tip of his tail, but he won't use the later unless it's a really serious problem because he finds this very awkward.
Whatever is consumed in his webs can be completely destroyed (similar to the spell Canon! Eclipsa used on Meteora), but he only does that to machines and other inanimated objects since he believes that doing this to a living being (Monster or Mewman) is a really low move.
He can stick to the walls and has a spider sense, which is... really not helpfull at all, as he had a lizard sense before and sometimes both senses collide and poor Noir is left wondering what sense is more important before getting hit by an enemy.
He also has other arachnid powers that he doesn't yet discover and even if he does, he would not use them because of his hatred towards spiders.
Even though he has spider powers and has almost accepted them, he despises being called a spider because he asociates that animal with the Spiderbites, the royal family who took everything from him. He prefers to be called by his rogue name: Lizard Noir.
He also accepts lizard, monster, Septarian or just Toffee.
Bonus facts
Since the Star of his dimension is not relevant, he doesn't know who she is.
Just like Spider Noir, his entire world is monochrome and so is he.
Unlike S. Noir, if he arrives at a colorful Dimension, he adquires color and that adventure will be the first time actually hearing new color names, but he's still color blind, hence his confusion with everything around him. Especially the color purple.
He worked as a lawyer defending Monsters Rights, likes to drink West Mewman Swamp Water and fight "Solarian" Warriors. A lot.
Phrases that Toffee uses every time after that fateful spell:
"I hate spiders"
"(sighs)... Great"
"I AM NOT A SPIDER!!!"
"I'm not wearing a mask"
"The Spiderbites are going pay"
"You can call me... Lizard Noir"
"I am NOT allied with the Spiderbite monarchy"
This Toffee concept AU was created in January 2019. Yep, this AU has more than a year in my Tumblr's archives, ready to be presented at any time, and Toffebruary seemed like a good opportunity to do it.
