Today at South Africa's Global Day of Action for Gaza, the Gift of the Givers Foundation handed out roses as part of their Roses For Palestine Campaign. Each Rose had a message on for a martyred child of Gaza and a QR code on the back to donate to this campaign.

This was my rose. I understand all of us are not able to donate to this campaign, but just sharing is enough.
Here's the link, too.

I cannot fathom how we're this far into the genocide happening and there's still no sign of a ceasefire. The fact that Netanyahu can state things like "the Hague cannot stop us" is so incredulous that I would've laughed if this wasn't a sign of how utterly nonchalant Western countries are about an entire group of people being murdered for simply existing.
How much longer before countries with international influence start intervening? Is the presence of Palestinians that much of a threat to the Western world? Genuinely, what have these people done, what have children, infants, new borns done to warrant their mass murder?
I simply cannot understand how people can be so inhumane. It's actually so sickening that the people in power, the people who have control over our lives are Satan incarnate.
I have no doubt that justice will be granted to the people of Palestine, but I cannot think of the pain they will feel when they are finally allowed to grieve. When they'll look around them in peace for the first time and see the destruction of their homes.
Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean you can remain ignorant or treat this movement like some sort of trend. If you feel tired about hearing and reading news regarding what's currently happening, then imagine the fatigue that Palestinians and the diaspora feel. This has been going on for three quarters of a century and still they are being denied.
Please do not stop talking about Palestine and please do not think that your help and solidarity is some sort of "gift" that people need to appreciate. The reality is that most of us have been silent or ignorant for far too long to even think along those lines. What is happening in Palestine is a test on our humanity and by God, is it us who owe them for only awakening to this issue now.
We cannot stop now, not until a ceasefire is officially called, not until Palestine is finally free, not until Israel is charged for their crimes against humanity. If Palestinians can wake up everyday of their lives not knowing whether they'll live or die, then we can wake up everyday and remind ourselves and others that liberation for the Palestinians is required.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!

I guess your proud off south africa standing up for ukraine as well.
Wait a minute, they didnt.
So when other countries don't support Palestine it's okay, but Heaven forbid we condemn Israel.
I am not my government. I don't get to dictate who they support or give aid to. The reality is, my government was RELUCTANT to condemn Israel but us citizens marched almost every day, put out flags and fought for Palestine. We've been campaigning and campaigning for literal decades and finally we've been heard.
South Africa has economical ties with Russia which is probably the reason why they didn't condemn them, that's not to say the average day citizen is not in solidarity with Ukraine. No one wants war. If my people stand for Palestine, we stand against pointless conflict of all people, INCLUDING Russia's assault on Ukraine.
And why does it matter? If we were a bystander in the past, does that mean we should remain a bystander? What exactly will that achieve - most certainly not peace.
Your whataboutism doesn't apply here. Sorry, but this blog run by a South African teen PROUDLY supports Palestine whether you like it or not and it's not up for criticism. Besides, I can play the same game and ask who did your country support/condemn and then ask what was your country's stance regarding other conflicts. That argument gets us nowhere.
