there's a restlessness that grows and grows in me whenever i spend too long without making artwork, and that is really hard to manage with disability because i need rest to recover but i cannot properly rest because i'm not making !!

im just gathering words and ideas and images in research and mind, hoping that i get to make very very soon (but is that enough??? never!)

#at least this week im (hopefully) going to restock on alum and soda ash bc that couldn't be shipped with my supplies #so i can finish dyeing the fabrics for a painting and make lake pigments out of the remnants of the dye vat !#but i can't even paint in bed in my sketchbook bc my tendonitis is also flaring up a ton 😵‍💫

Doing some cleaning up, I found THIS. Forgot that I bought it. I feel like everyone has a self-help phase in their life where they invest too much time in this shit. (Ask me about the Eckhardt Tolle and Tim Ferriss books I own. Wait, no, don't.) I dunno. I need some positivity in my life because of this foot thing. I'm genuinely worried that this damage to my foot is permanent, and by the time I get a diagnosis it'll be irreversible. Nerve damage? Blood clots? POSSIBLE SURGERY? Resisting pain is exhausting, friends. But I've only ever been hopeful. <3

#tbf one place i lived in Michigan was like a pocket of 'soda' sayers likely due to the lake shipping dialect effect #(which may have been stronger for word choice than say chicago or Milwaukee since its much further east thus closer to the e. coast)#and i lived in the midatlantic briefly around the age i would probably have began drinking soda with any frequency
