Endlessly tickled by the idea of Akira being a good shot but a shit gamer. I like to think its cause hes got incredible hand eye coordination and super steady ‘surgeon’ hands; hes very good with precise movements, but panics when he has to do brain melting inputs. His brain can keep up but its hard to make his hands follow suit. Its why u can have him be dogshit at arcade cabinets; panicking with the little joystick and button mashing like mad, while having him be a beast at things like darts and billiards.
The only arcade games he can play is house of the dead-esque shooting games (hes literally at the top of the leaderboards for MILES and he draws crowds whenever he plays) and DDR cabinets (hes just very light on his feet)(NOT to be confused with stepmania; he would die if he had to do arrow inputs with his HAND). Its kinda fun to watch him fumble with the other silly gimmick cabinets, but its more entertaining to watch him do what hes good at. If u take him to play darts, and if the darts are super cheap, he will absolutely try his best to split them down the middle each time. Doesnt always work, but its insane to know that he lands the bullseye literally 100% of the time.
#chattin#akira#i just think. having him play games like how my uncle plays games is a silly visual#hes also Tall#so hes like as tall as the fucking machine and shaking it like crazy. hes dying. help him.#but hes never like. hmm#i guess self conscious about looking silly? it doesnt even occur to him bc hes so focused on smashing inputs#so ryuji can take him to the arcade all the time and never get a sore loser for a teammate or rival#on the flipside. he is so good w knives its scary#and like. anything sharp. and anything thats a projectile tbh#if u took him to do archery i think he would love it.#but for now hes got Baseball and Darts. and hes good at Both.#i know royal has him playing darts or something w goro??#i think its cute. also funny. goro would lose miserably and get so fucking tight. like alright. im not taking u here anymore.#akira opts to just watch bc he didnt think he was going to hang out w a sore loser#and goro HAS to challenge that. obviously.#like *clenched fist* ‘no. i insist. were here for a. good time. friendly competition is. healthy.’#*clenches jaw so tightly u can hear it pop* ‘another round? ‘#thinking about it; turnbased rpgs would be perfect for him. hes very bad at action games and fighting games#so playing games that dont demand that from u would be nice for him.#rhythm games would be easy too; the focus isnt on the hands but the beat#he doesnt have to THINK about hand inputs#MAYBE racing games would work too? but high speed racing games like burnout would be too much for him i think#and depending on the TYPE of shooter; fps games would be bad; third person shooters even more so

ROSIE HI AGAIN <3
not to be annoying but can i get some persona 5 headcanons? maybe akira (my love), yusuke, and ryuji (separate please!) with an s/o who has really low motivation and they’re trying to help them? if not, that’s a-okay!! take care!!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Persona 5
Character(s): Joker, Yusuke, and Ryuji
Genre: Fluff + Comfort
Type: Headcanons
Description: Their s/o lacks motivation and they try to help!
Warning(s): I Refer to Joker as Akira(I Use his Names Interchangeably)
Hehe, hello, once again, Eve! Don't worry about being annoying, you never could be <3
I hope you enjoy, and that you're doing alright! Take care ^^
Also, I'm sorry for the wait!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
   ➢ Akira
By far the best in terms of comfort
It appears as though he knows exactly what to do within mere seconds of becoming aware of your dilemma
Akira will take you out to eat and will purposely get ramen so his glasses fog up, it's also just really tasty-
Like Yusuke, he'll bring you places in an attempt to stimulate your mind
Sometimes it's something utterly random that spikes your interest after all!
Although before he does any of that, Akira will try and figure out what's gotten you so stumped
If there is something that caused your lack of motive, he'll make sure you take a break and get your mind off it before tackling it again with you at a later time
If there's nothing that caused it then he'll just do his best to make you happy!
From game nights with just you two or the entire gang, making coffee with him, all the way to just messing around in Akihabara or Harajuku
He's your guy for a fun time >:D
   ➢ Yusuke
Lack of motivation plagues him often too
As if hitting a blockade, it becomes nigh impossible to move forward
Yusuke, over the course of a good few years, has figured out how to bring it back to himself
And so, due to being aware of what helps him, he offers to do activities with you!
From visiting the planetarium to going somewhere new
Although he'll definitely bring those places to you, one way or another, if you didn't want to go anywhere
Despite all this, he would be the slowest in making an effort-
He isn't great at comfort, nor realizing what is wrong quickly, but he does know something is wrong
And that's all he needs to know to be at your side in a heart beat
   ➢ Ryuji
Ryuji doesn't know what to do
He's aware something is bothering you, he just doesn't know what
But he tries his best to cheer you up, from arcade trips to bringing you random snacks to try alongside you
Once you tell him your lack of motive, he'll find himself blanking for a moment
His mind racing for a solution
"Well.. do ya want to do somethin'?"
"Ryuji.."
"Oh- haha, right! Sorry."
If there is something you wish to do, but just can't, he'll bounce some ideas off you and ramble in an attempt to bring some inspiration to the table
Who knows, perhaps one of his misfortunes will strike your motivation's fancy? /lh
Ryuji just hopes it'll pass so you have that pep in your step again- and that he helped, even a tiny bit, in getting it back!

First off, welcome! I’m so excited to see Persona 5 content still being made! I can’t wait to see this blog take off!
If you don’t mind me asking, got any headcanons for Ryuji having a big ol crush on a childhood best friend?
A/N; this came out a bit more angsty in some parts than I intended for it to, but I tried to keep the majority of it on the fluffy, lighthearted side. thank you for the request!
words; 918
Ryuji Sakamoto [Skull] crushing on his childhood best friend;
Ryuji is absolutely awful at hiding his feelings. He thanks his lucky stars if you happen to be particularly oblivious because he's almost on constant edge of letting it slip out, unsure of how long he could last if you were on the more perceptive side.
He's actually pretty quick to accept his feelings, even if he feels conflicted over them. It takes a few days of trying to fight them off, attempting to convince himself he just really likes you - but eventually he comes to terms with the fact that he no longer sees you only platonically.
Ryuji is.... pretty torn up over it. You two have known each other since you were children - single digit ages! - and you're the closest thing to a sibling he's ever had. You're his absolute best friend, and he's never viewed you as more than such - so the sudden budding of romantic feelings throws him for a curve, to say the least.
He fears losing you if his feelings come out and are unreciprocated; the thought of potentially spoiling the tight-knit friendship you two have had since you were younger if his one-sided feelings made you uncomfortable being his biggest fear. It’s why he tries to keep his feelings a heavily guarded secret: he’d rather lose out on having you as his significant other than lose out on having you at all.
Considering this closeness, you're the one Ryuji trusts the most with his feelings, rarely feeling shame for opening up to you. Had he been crushing on anyone else, he easily would've told you about it - !
It's almost comically awkward; many moments crop up where you can tell something is really on his mind, and your teasing remarks questioning if he's got a special someone on his mind did nothing but make him grow embarrassed, his face redder than it had been - “Shuddup!”
Another fear keeping him from telling you is your reputation. Lord knows what people say about you just being his friend, especially after the falling out with the track team, but as a couple? You've put up with jabs here and there, letting the insinuations from students and teachers alike that you're probably as equal a delinquent as he is just for being friends with him roll right off your back, and while you always insisted that you didn't care in the slightest, Ryuji doesn't want you or your reputation to suffer any more because of him.
He becomes extremely protective over you once he accepts his feelings. He was already pretty protective over you when his feelings for you were only platonic, having no problem standing up for you if someone was giving you shit, even if you were more than capable of standing up for yourself. The resulting scuffles between him and the antagonists were always more than worth it in his eyes, but you'd always chide him for being so impulsive and reckless, though you both knew your respective actions were only out of care for the other.
He starts inviting you out more often than usual, as often as he can without coming across as clingy; arcades, Ogikubo’s ramen shops, Dome Town, his place (his mom absolutely loves you and is always more than happy to have you over) - you two were already practically glued to each other beforehand, but as his feelings for you grew, his heart would skip a beat whenever the opportunity to spend more time in your presence arose. He always makes sure he has enough money on him for the outings to be his treat, as well.
While he won’t show it, he does get jealous if he thinks you’re interested in someone else. His jealousy is shown through an increase in his protectiveness over you; vetting the hell out of whoever it is he thinks you have eyes for. Though that’s not to say it’s easy for him, because it isn’t at all - to Ryuji, regardless of whether or not it’s him you’re interested in, your happiness and safety are his top priorities. He’d rather be dammed than see you end up hurt.
Assuming his feelings develop during the events of the game, after awhile they become too strong to keep bottled up, and he ends up talking to Ann and/or Akira about it. He trusts the both of them the most out of the Thieves, and figures that if anyone could offer tips and advice on that sort of thing, it was those two.
Many times does he come close to blurting his feelings out, especially when the two of you are alone. Just having you next to him is enough to get his mind racing, especially whenever you touch him; even something as innocent as a punch to the shoulder after he retold the same dumb joke you’ve already heard a million times gets his heart pounding.
In all actuality, when his confession does eventually come, it’s much more soft, albeit a bit hesitant in tone. It’s most likely late in the evening when it’s just you two alone and he feels the moment is right.
Ryuji knows he’s not the smoothest with words even at the best of times, but it doesn’t stop him from taking a breath and trying to gather his composure, nudging your preoccupied self gently with his elbow to get your attention with a quiet “Hey,”
"I.... Listen. You've been with me through thick and thin, y'know? You've been puttin' up with a lot 'cause of me, and.... I never wanna lose you. I don’t know if ya get what I mean, and I get it if you can't see yourself feelin' the same but.... I want more with you."

Date Headcanons | Everyone
Thought I’d write something for everyone so that I can get used to it & you can see my style of writing.
- Nexus.
Joker { Akira Kurusu }
✧ Akira is definitely the type of partner who indulges in more casual dates. Although he has the money & resources in order to do something more classy due to his moonlighting as a Phantom Thief, he prefers more quaint locations where both himself & his partner can enjoy each other’s company instead of the location.
✧ He fundamentally believes that if he can enjoy himself around his significant other without needing to spend vast amounts of money, he’s found someone he can rely on for life. His life is naturally very very stressful so he finds solace in moments where he can simply be himself.
✧ During the date itself, he is the epitome of a gentleman { he does have max Charm, after all! }. Offering to pay for the meal; blatantly flirting but not crossing any unspoken boundaries; Casual touches of affection to fluster them. All in all, Akira simply enjoys having company that’s not related to Phantom Thief business & having someone who doesn’t only want to see him in order to seek out comfort.
Skull { Ryuji Sakamoto }
✧ Another one who likes casual dates. However, he is much less formal about it. Although confident on the outside, on the inside he is very nervous about a date. Ryuji is of the opinion that if he cannot be himself during a date, it would not feel natural. So, he takes his significant other places that seem like fun.
✧ Being the athletic type, Ryuji encourages his significant other to run with him. It is rather cathartic and good training. Starting out with shorter routes, they would be encouraged by him all throughout. Afterwards, there’s a high chance that the two of them would head out for ramen together as a ‘ treat ’.
✧ Other ideas would include the arcade or simply heading to his house. Introducing his partner to his mother is a key part of the relationship, since he desperately wants them to like each other { it wouldn’t be difficult, Ryuji’s mother is just as sweet as his son!! }.
Panther { Ann Takamaki }
✧ There are two types of dates with Ann: Food dates & Fashion dates.
✧ Food dates are usually more common. They consist of going to a restaurant she recommends or finding a dessert and ordering two. Ann encourages her significant other to try new things & expand their horizons much like how she’s trying to strengthen her heart.
✧ Fashion dates occur when Ann’s side job as a model comes into play. If she is in need of new clothes for a particular style or wants to try something new, it is likely to be turned into a date.
✧ Ann knows exactly what fits the body type of her partner & clothes that would make them look good. She wants them to be able to express themselves and feel good about it at the same time!!
✧ In return, all that is asked of them is that they honestly critique the clothing choices she has selected out for herself { she looks great in everything though }.
Fox { Yusuke Kitagawa }
✧ Yusuke’s interpretation of dates is... Strange. No matter what, it has to be visually stimulating & help inspire him in his career of art. He would die for art without a second thought and that reflects in his choices of location.
✧ For example, Inokashira Park is a perfect spot. It costs little money, has beautiful scenery & has a relaxing atmosphere. Throughout the entire experience, there is small gestures of casual affection. Not enough for people to be staring but just enough for it to be noticeable by them.
✧{ After his scuffle with searching for true beauty with Akira, he learns a little more about social ettique & how the boat ride they took could have been misinterpreted as a date. }
✧ However... Sometimes he forgets that going to places costs money. If a local art museum has a special showing, Yusuke will buy two tickets impulsively & invite his significant other to the event. Then he’ll be crushed by the reality of the train fares.
Queen { Makoto Niijima }
✧ At first, Makoto has no idea how to plan a date. She would definitely flunk a test about love, so to speak. However, it is very endearing. Study dates would be the most common, where they could go over any material either of them didn’t understand in classes. She prides herself over being able to assist her significant other.
✧ Once she becomes more adapted to stereotypical teenage life, there is a higher likelyhood of more outdoorsy dates. Her favourite spot is Chinatown because of all the vastly different stores and foods.
✧ She finds it a relaxing experience to people watch. Usually it’s done through the window of a cafe where she offhandedly comments about how different people are dressed & how they interact with each other. Makoto is very insightful.
Oracle { Futaba Sakura }
✧ Going anywhere is mostly out of the question. Futaba struggles with socialising & although she is trying her best to open up a little more, it will be an ongoing process.
✧ Playing video games until 3am or talking about the latest manga edition released from the comfort of her bedroom is one of her favourite things to do with a significant other. It is the one time where she feels comfortable to talk & even if they do not quite understand every thing she is saying, she is very happy to go into depth and explain.
✧ However, there would be one or two occasions where Futaba wants to push herself & go out somewhere. Beforehand, Sojiro would be lecturing her partner about keeping her safe & making sure she’s okay but wishes the two of them a good time.
✧ Although there’s moments where Futaba is overstimulated & needs a break, it is a fun experience! Akihabara is definitely a good place to start & buying a game as a reward for braving it will earn them a beaming smile of sunshine.
Noir { Haru Okumura }
✧ Haru has very few qualms about spending extravagant amounts of money on a single date. She thinks like a celebrity & aims to impress her significant other. Just because she spends a lot of money does not mean she is not thoughtful, though. Most dates will be something her significant other has mentioned interest in. She pays attention!!
✧ Throughout the entire outing, she is not afraid to initiate physical contact. Holding hands is a common & subtle gesture that she never really achieved with her previous marriage so she cherishes gentle intimacy.
✧ However, it eventually becomes known that she prefers cheaper & more heart-to-heart style dates. Making a picnic for her partner with the vegetables / fruits from her garden brings unparalleled joy. Especially when they give advice and talk about the taste & how they could improve. Her dream is to run a homegrown café after all!!
Crow { Goro Akechi }
✧ Akechi is either the most gentlemanly man anyone has ever been on a date with or he wants to unwind from a stressful day. Dates are few & far between with his particularly busy schedule, alongside the influence of his female fans bothering him particularly turns him off the idea most of the time.
✧ So, there are two solutions: Dates that are indoors so that no one knows where they are & incredibly extravagant dates that the media cannot gain access to.
✧ Indoor ones usually involve attending the Jazz Club in Kichijoji. It is a relaxing place with few people to bother his significant other, since there are few that know about the place. Throughout the entire occasion, he makes light conversation and is hesitant about accepting physical contact for fear of his reputation but eventually settles on taking his gloves off and interlocking hands with them.
✧ The other solution is usually reserved for special occasions. Although Akechi is wealthy due to his work as a detective, he is more deliberate with his purchases and understands the value of money. In these situations, he intentionally plays up his role as a detective prince & is even more suave than Akira. There is a lot of flirtation in a very polite manner, almost as if testing the waters.
✧ Although he genuinely enjoys these sessions, it is his job to play the role of a prince, even for his significant other. Akechi is practised at pretending.
Violet { Sumire Yoshizawa }
✧ Incredibly flustered at first, no matter what happens. Every step with her is filled with stuttering & a face the same colour as her hair but she’s willing to try her best!!
✧ Absolutely wants her significant other to come to her routines & competitions. If they are not there, she feels incomplete. It throws her game off which in turn creates more issues in the future.
✧{ At some point, her coach comes to speak to them and essentially demands they be at every session so Sumire can achieve her best. }
✧ Sumire also really likes different scenery. The aquarium in Shinagawa is a breathtaking sight from her perspective. No pressure to perform & the ability simply be herself allows for a much more natural date.
{ Yuuki Mishima }
✧ Mishima is much like Futaba in that he would prefer a date indoors. Although he is more confident after everything that happened with Kamoshida, he is still more shocked that he actually has a significant other.
✧ Most of his spare time when not doing schoolwork is spent on running the Phansite so when Mishima wants to spend time with them, he prefers low energy activities at home such as watching a movie with snacks or sitting & talking together.
✧ If he ever attempted to take them out somewhere, it would be adorable. There would be a lot of doting on them and ensuring that they’re having a good time & he needs this validation because of his self esteem issues. { Telling Mishima that the date was fun or that they enjoyed it will result in an adorable smile & red face }.
{ Hifumi Togo }
✧ Much like Yusuke, Hifumi enjoys dates with her significant other that are practical. If there’s a new book on some of the lastest Shogi techniques, she’ll take them to the bookstore in Jinbocho & make a date out of it.
✧ Although she sometimes struggles to articulate her feelings properly, it is often made up for with the purchase of a gift. Nothing expensive since she is still a high school student but instead something deeply personal that will mean a lot, such as a piece of jewellery or a particular book they are interested in.
✧ Also loves going to the church in Kanda for a practice game. Even if they are not very good at Shogi, she’ll teach them how to play and encourages them to develop their own style of play. After each game, she analyses all of the different moves used in that game & how they changed the game.

Them with a Shy S/o [Persona 5]
Tumblr media
anon: Hello! Congratulations on your Followers! I wanted to ask if you can write the "Them with a shy s/o" for the Persona 5 cast as well? Thanks!!
Tumblr media
Characters Included: Akira Kurusu, Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Niijima, Haru Okumura, Futaba Sakura & Goro Akechi
Note: A lot of you guys like Persona 5 huh? Oh well, I can see why :) Hope ya’ll enjoy this!
Reader’s Gender: Neutral
Warning: none
Tumblr media
Akira Kurusu
This guy? He'll find it cute— no, scratch that. ADORABLE that his s/o's shy. He'll be all over them when he laid eyes on them, they better be prepared >:)
We all know this guy's a tease, right? And you are NO exception to this. Actually, you had it worse.
Because you are shy, he'll find every reaction of yours cute and always seem to tease you about it, until you were pretty much the twin of an apple -_-
But he knows his limit, of course. If he sees that it's either making you uncomfortable or hurt by what he's doing, he'll stop.
When you two first meet, it's you avoiding him and him pouting as you ran away. Pretty much a cat-and-rat chase, which the Phantom Thieves find funny, watching their leader chasing his s/o.
The reason why you're running? You heard the rumors and thought it was true. Not wanting to be his next victim, you ran whenever he's near you.
He only managed to talk to you (without you running away) when Ann drag you over to Akira, the group have had enough of this shenanigans.
You two hang-out in either LeBlanc or outside, but mostly in LeBlanc though. You two just chilling while drinking coffee (or tea, or whatever beverages you prefer) and just talk.
He'll find it hilarious if he finds out you're talkative, he might tease you about it but other than that, made no comment about it. He loves your voice so it's a bonus for him :D
How he ask you out? He asks you in a straightforward manner while you were drinking, which made you successfully chock. You two panic for a bit before you answered him yes, with a bit of embarrassment ofc.
Ryuji Sakamoto
He might not at all notice you, srry. Unless you're either friends with his friends (or his friends pointing at you) or you're a victim of Kamoshida. Yeah. That's the only way for him to only notice you.
He might not really care about you much but when he notices you everywhere he goes, he suddenly cared about you.
Like Akira, he finds your shy trait cute and find it hilarious when he finds out you're talkative. But he also LOVES hearing your voice so its a plus for him.
I don’t see Ryuji as a tease though, he might be as shy as you are! Which frustrates the group when Ryuji is being his Tsundere self. Like you would go up to him and he will either freeze or go away from you, that is, IF he realizes his feelings for you.
But he finds every reaction of yours cute but he wouldn’t admit it.
How you two meet? The first bulletin pls. If you’re friends with one of his friends, namely Ann, she would basically drag you over to meet him and the rest. If you’re a victim, chances are you appeared as a Shadow in Kamoshida’s Palace.
He would find your shy self indifferent really, he already has seen that reaction of yours everywhere he goes (his delinquent self and all). But he might get to know you if you two were (force) to be together or left alone, he finds silence uncomfortable afterall.
You two will be often seen hanging out during and after school, probably in front of a store or the arcade. Akira (with Morgana) and Ann will also join in but not all the time, so its basically you and Ryuji.
How he ask you out? Very hesitant, shy and in-denial. It might take some time, and his friends pushing, for him to ask you out. But when he does confess, you could hardly understand what he was trying to tell you. Him stuttering while blushing while still acting cool, yeah, you were hella confuse.
But when you DO understand, you’ll blush and nod, too shy to say anything (much to Ryuji’s relief and dismay).
Ann Takamaki
This girl’s basically gushes about how adorable you were and spoils you rotten, much to your embarrassment. You two definitely met by her approaching you and just start talking.
If she sees you were uncomfortable with her, she would keep her distance. Other than that, she’ll be stuck with you. Good luck with that.
She’s so energetic that she would drag you to places where you’ve never been before.
She’ll be the one who orders for the both of you if you are uncomfortable doing so, she really doesn’t mind.
She might tease you a bit, just to get a reaction out of you. But if she sees you were getting hurt or uncomfortable by her teasing, she’ll stop. This woman respects your privacy to a whole new level -_-
Like I said, Ann drags you places to places. You two are hardly ever seen in one place really, except for school, LeBlanc and that store that sells sweets.
She doesn’t really mind your shy self really, but when she finds out you’re chatty, you two will be talking non-stop. Your topics will keep bouncing from one to another, till there is nothing left to say (which would probably never happen since you two always seem to find something to talk about).
How does she confess her undying love to you? She does it in a cliche way, this girl lives for cliches :) She does it by giving you 3 red roses, which means “I love you”. Whether you know or not about flower language, she wouldn’t tell you at once. She’ll wait until you figure it out.
If you don’t know, either search in Google or ask someone (Siri?). You should probably go to Haru or Makoto for this.
If you already knew or just figured it out, you would immediately go to Ann and say your answer to her. Pls say yes ;-;
Yusuke Kitagawa
This boi doesn’t really care about your shy personality, no, he finds it endearing. You somehow managed to caught his artistic eyes. Don’t get me started with this poor boi. He doesn’t know how to approach you! So he did it the only way he knows how, following you around.
Ofc, this has an opposite effect than what Yusuke wanted. This made him creepy and stalker for you, so you keep running away while him chasing you. You even thought he was a kidnapper or a thief (not literally tho COUGH COUGH).
The group finds it amusing (Mommy Makoto sighing in the background) as they watch the scene unfold. But as the days go by, they were kinda worried and concerned about the two of you. So they decided to take matters in their own hands.
They managed to get you and Yusuke in the same room together. They even instructed Yusuke to not be weird. Yusuke, being confused, decided to follow their orders.
The two of you managed to have a civil conversation about sunsets of all things. Ofc, you were still wary around him but you soon found yourself being comfortable around him.
Yusuke isn’t a tease at all, actually, he’s more oblivious than you even! Yusuke doesn’t really understand the concept about love but is willing to learn about it.
(PS: Pls also feed this bby boi ;-; he needs it DESPERATELY)
You and Yusuke can be found either in a art gallery or his house. It’s also either watching him paint, listening to him rant or being his muse. It might be boring to others but you always found yourself enjoying his peculiar self.
He doesn’t mind if you’re talkative really. He likes to listen to you whenever you talk about something, he also finds this trait of yours endearing.
How he ask you out? Pls don’t ask ;-;. This boi doesn’t even know his feelings towards you, which was VERY obvious to everyone, heck, even you! You, being your shy self, is very hesitant to confess to him. WHAT IF HE DOESN’T LIKE ME? -_- <-- my reaction
It take everyone to explain to him his feelings. You might need to wait a bit long for him to finally realize his feelings. But when he does, he’ll immediately confess to you. This boi doesn’t know how to be embarrassed unfortunately ;-;
Makoto Niijima
This girl would notice you if you were in the Student Council or classmates with her or a victim of someone’s Palace. Other than that, you’re pretty much a background character for her.
You always thought she was intimidating so you avoid her as much as you could. When Makoto notices you avoiding her, she would be hurt ofc. Did she do something to you that she doesn’t know of? You can be sure that Makoto would rack her mind for DAYS, trying to recall what made you avoid her so much.
If she couldn’t find out about it, be sure that she’ll approach you the following day. Managing to corner you, which is unintentional for her part. She would ask you the question and when you answered honestly (you can’t lie to her), she would be confuse.
But ever since then, she would make an effort in becoming friends with you. She’s not bothered by your shy self, she finds it cute though :)
If she finds out you’re talkative, she’ll be surprised about it but it was warmly welcomed, especially during her time in being President. During her signing papers, you would talk to her about your day and some unrelated topics. She doesn’t mind at all, she finds your voice soothing.
Pls give this girl a rest ;-; she works wayyyy too hard.
You two can be found hanging out in LeBlanc or either houses. You two can be drinking coffee (or whatever beverages you prefer) and just chat with one another.
How does she confess? It might also take some time since she wants to make sure that what she’s feeling is true. Bc I can see her as the person who likes someone, it’s already that person that they want to marry and spend their whole life together.
But when she is sure about it, she would take it slow and confess to you. She’s patient so she watches as you fumble your words up. She’ll be overjoyed that you accept her feelings though.
Yay! Happy mommy Makoto :D
Haru Okumura
She already notices you wayyy before you notice her. She notices your shy self and talkative self, she finds it adorable though. I’m gonna bet that she will be the one who approaches you first and strike a conversation with you.
You couldn’t afford to run away from her, she’s too precious! TwT So you decided to converse with her also and find yourself enjoying her presence much.
Her aura around her gives out a soothing one, it easily attracts someone to her. It could be a weapon or defense, not sure. But one thing is for sure, you’re hook at once.
She might tease you here and there, but she’s rather passive. She enjoys cuddling and holding hands with you, even before you two started to date. She’s touch-starved ;-;
She is the kind of person who listens to other people talking. She wouldn’t dare to interrupt you while you are talking about something you are passionate about.
You two are never in the same place, like Ann. You two can be found everywhere, since I like to think that Haru likes to explore new areas. But she’s not gonna drag you around if you don’t like it. She would DEFINTELY stay with you at home, cuddling with you in the couch.
Haru might seem shy at first, but don’t be fooled! When she finds out she has feelings for you, she would straight-in confess her feelings to you. It might involve a bouquet or two :)
Pls say yes ;-; this bby deserve da world :)
Futaba Sakura
She doesn’t know you at all, unless you are either a part of the Phantom Thieves or a friend of her friends. Though she wouldn’t meet you either in that, so you best believe that you are a member of this outcast group or else you wouldn’t meet this hacker girl.
She can relate to you so much, although hers is much more of anxiety than shyness. She can still relate to you. You two might not talk at all, unless someone forces them to talk each other (i.e: mommy Makoto or daddy Akira :3 I don’t ship them tho).
You two instantly click though, much to everyone’s relief and dismay. You can bet that Futaba would drag you in her shenanigans, better be prepared :)
SHE LOVES THAT YOU TWO CAN TALK ENDLESSLY :D
Where you two can be seen? In her room. She never leaves her room unless necessary. So you two hang-out there, hope you don’t mind. You two play video games together or her teaching you how to hack.
She isn’t much into touchy-feely things but she would welcome a hug or cuddles. She’s more touch-starved than Haru unfortunately ;-;
How she asks you out? Simple. She doesn’t. And the worst thing, you don’t either. So you two can be friends for so long until either one of you confess.
So you better toughen up if you want her to be your girlfriend >:) This girl would surely say yes if you (stutter your) confess(ion).
Goro Akechi
This boi is almost like Akira in so many ways, except for the fact that he handle his situation in a much different way. This two bois can be best bros if they want to -_-
Anyway, back to hc.
You two would meet during his school days or outside. He recognizes you as the shy girl in his class. He might scare you away though, since you can’t handle his fangirls or his charming looks, much to his confusion.
He tries talking to you but you always manage to find a loop-hole, much to his dismay. He managed to talk to you when you two were (coincidentally) riding the train.
That’s the start of the bittersweet friendship you two have.
Much like Akira, he WILL tease you to get reaction from you, he finds this adorable. He would leave teasing kisses around your faces and leave a lingering kiss on your lips, leaving you wanting more. He’s such a tease -3-
But he’ll stop if he sees you embarrassed or hurt, he’ll kiss your entire face in apology. At the end, you are as red as a Cherry.
You two can be seen either in either your home or in LeBlanc or anywhere private, since he has a fanbase. He would rather for the two of you to be at home or at LeBlanc since it really provides privacy.
His work schedule is all over the place, so be sure to always be prepared whenever Akechi wants to hang-out with you.
It’s also a plus if you can cook pancakes for him :) You get his approval
How he asks you out? In the most basic way, asking you if you are available tomorrow to eat dinner or watch movie. SAY YES PLS :)
(He’s internally panicking ofc)
BTW, be sure to be prepared when he breaks up with you at the end. You know what I mean :)

Here we come with day two of pegoryu week, and it's gonna be the last one I post on time. I'll still be trying, don't get me wrong, I'm just not the kind of person who can write a fic I'm happy with in one day.
Yet.
As always, bulk of the fic is under a cut, link is in the reblogs, and I will daydream of baking you cookies if you share it.
“I did warn you.”
“Not even an arcade, dude?”
“Not unless you wanna get on a train for forty minutes.”
“Ugh. Laaaaame.”
After nearly a month of planning, Ryuji was visiting his boyfriend for Golden Week. One whole month of bargaining with all of their parents, putting aside every last yen they could spare, studying their asses off to earn the trip, and, of course, long phone conversations that were probably about eighty percent “I miss you”s and “I love you”s and “I can’t wait to see you”s. With Akira’s help via video call study sessions, Ryuji even managed to get into the top thirty percent of the class in their latest exams; a new record for him that effectively guaranteed the visit. But they’d been so busy celebrating and planning getting him out to the country that they may have completely forgotten to figure out what they were actually going to do when he got there. So now they were on the Kurusus’ living room couch, Akira cross-legged on one end and Ryuji stretched out across the rest with his head on his boyfriend’s lap, trying to scrape together a date idea.
“I’ll say it again. I warned you. Several times,” Akira repeated while he ran a hand through Ryuji’s hair. “There’s nothing to see here.” Ryuji caught Akira’s free hand, tangled their fingers together, and kissed the back of his hand.
“Yeah there is. You’re here, so I say it’s worth it.” Ryuji grinned as his boyfriend turned pink at the tips of his ears and wrinkled his nose.
“Sap,” Akira grumbled like there wasn’t a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Like they both didn’t know full well how much he liked hearing how happy Ryuji was that they were together, in every sense of the word.
“You love me,” Ryuji said, his grin widening just a little further. Akira’s expression melted into something almost embarrassingly soft as he went back to playing with his boyfriend’s hair. He curled and combed his fingers gently through the short strands, and huffed out a quiet laugh as Ryuji went boneless when he grazed his nails over his scalp.
“Yeah. I really do,” Akira sighed happily and got another kiss pressed to his knuckles. “You’re kind of my hero, you know.” It was something he’d tried to make a habit of telling his boyfriend, even before they were dating. Ryuji still sputtered and objected like it was his first time hearing it.
“You-- I-- that ain’t…” He sat up and shoved a pillow into Akira’s face with a groan. “Now who’s the sap?”
Akira draped himself across Ryuji’s shoulders and planted a kiss on the side of his neck, then smiled against his skin at the shiver that got. “You just have that effect on me, sunshine.” Ryuji grunted in response. “You like it.” Another grunt. Akira blew a puff of air at the back of Ryuji’s ear and laughed when he got swatted away. “Don’t pout. You were right, a date sounds nice. But you gotta help me figure it out.”
His boyfriend sprawled back out on the couch after pouting for a few more seconds, then looked up at him with those big brown eyes he’d been a sucker for since day one.
“Aight, what kind of food you got around here?” Akira could have been exasperated at his boyfriend’s predictability, but a dinner date was more feasible than a movie date, and a lot more pleasant than a gym date. He may have loved Ryuji Sakamoto with all his heart, but he didn’t plan on running again on the regular unless it was for his damn life.
“There’s only like ten places total around here. We’ve already visited three, two of them won’t serve me because the owners don’t like me anymore--”
Ryuji’s head jerked up at that, knocking Akira’s hand free. It was ridiculous how cute the guy was when he was offended. “What?! Why the hell not?”
Akira shrugged and went back to petting Ryuji’s hair in an attempt to soothe him. “Didn’t exactly bother to ask, but probably my record. Cleared of charges or not, my reputation mutated while I was gone and I haven’t really been able to fix it.” Not that he’d tried very hard when he didn’t plan on staying for even a second longer than necessary.
The frown that wrinkled Ryuji’s features was almost comical, but he probably wouldn’t appreciate being laughed at while he was already agitated. Especially when it was on Akira’s behalf. “Ugh, this town sucks, can’t wait to get you out of here. Wait, only probably your record? Why else would they dislike you?”
Akira huffed out another laugh, wry and joyless this time. “My uncle’s a pretty conservative guy, I heard he didn’t react well when he found out I was dating some guy from the city.” Quite literally heard it; he’d been getting ready to visit his cousin and could hear the old man shouting inside the house from the sidewalk. He’d opted to text Yuuta to meet up somewhere well away from their house instead when that happened. And, naturally, the news had mysteriously spread to the rest of town by the end of that week.
Ryuji sat bolt upright and twisted back around to face Akira with a scowl. “Your own effin’ family won’t serve you? What the hell?!” His expression was thunderous, made worse by the doomcloud over his head when he asked. Ryuji almost never got pulled into fights these days and was very proud of that fact--they both were--but Akira was certain that he was ready to deck the old man on sight on his behalf. He’d never encourage it, but the thought still made something in his chest swell a little.
“Just my uncle when I try to sit in. If it’s my aunt or my cousin taking delivery calls, they’ll still take the order. Plus a discount and extra desserts, if Yuuta’s the one who answers.” Akira shrugged, then tugged at Ryuji’s shirt to coax him into laying back down in his lap. He did, albeit begrudgingly, and Akira went back to running his hands soothingly through that remarkably soft shock of bright blond hair. “Anyways, the other five restaurants in town are fast food that you could get back home. So…” He trailed off and watched Ryuji’s scowl soften into an annoyed frown.
“Yeah, pass.” Ryuji closed his eyes, either to think or soak up Akira’s touch as he played with his hair, then cracked one eye open after a moment. “How ‘bout a picnic? You’re a pretty good cook and I bet we could find us a nice spot to just chill.”
That... was a pretty solid idea. Actually, that sounded perfect, and Akira knew exactly the spot for them to set up. He opened his mouth to agree, but was cut off by a low rumble of thunder outside. “...Maybe later this week? The weather should clear up before you have to go,” he said instead. Ryuji pouted up at the ceiling, or more likely up at the sky beyond it for ruining his brilliant plan. Then it was Akira’s turn to pout when Ryuji abruptly sat back up out of reach, but not for long.
The next thing he knew, he was being crowded up against the arm of the couch by one blond bombshell of an ex-track star. Ryuji was suddenly determined to pour himself into his boyfriend’s lap, all mischief and heat as he crawled across the couch towards Akira. He couldn’t think clearly while facing down that wicked grin curving across Ryuji’s face like Haru’s favorite battleaxe cleaving through the air. It wouldn’t be the first time they’d made out. It wouldn’t even be the first time Ryuji had taken the initiative and left Akira a flustered wreck when they did. But since it had been over a month since the last time he’d seen that look face to face, it was having more of an effect than usual, and Akira was left frantically trying to cling to his cool.
“I have an idea, babe.” Ryuji said lowly and Akira’s mouth went dry. Hands bracketed Akira’s hips on the couch as his boyfriend crept closer. “Y’wanna hear it?” Akira nodded and felt heat flare across his skin when he realized Ryuji was keeping that hooded, heated gaze fixed firmly on his lips. “Since your folks ain’t supposed to be back before tomorrow afternoon,” Ryuji’s tone was as light as his body was heavy as he straddled Akira and looped strong arms around his neck, “I was thinkin’ maybe… we could…” Akira was desperately trying to focus on the words being whispered into his ear over his boyfriend kissing his way up his neck and leaving his skin prickling in the wake of every touch.
“Y-yeah?” He couldn’t help the nervous flutter in his stomach. If Ryuji was implying what he thought he was implying... They hadn’t done… that... yet. Even with the house to themselves all day, they hadn’t actually talked about it, in part because Akira hadn’t even thought about it seriously yet. That nervous flutter hadn’t subsided and was starting to feel a little more like an anxious lurch.
Ryuji continued, oblivious to his boyfriend’s nerves with his face tucked against his neck. “We could maybe…” Akira’s hands flexed involuntarily around Ryuji’s hips. He didn’t dislike the idea, just-- His unsteady train of thought was thrown off again when soft lips brushed over his ear. “...watch One Piece together?” After a beat where Akira was left blinking stupidly for several seconds, Ryuji sat back on his legs with a grin that had gone from sultry to shit-eating on a dime. Oh. Okay, he could handle that. “I gotta get you caught up to me, plus I wanna see how much we can get through in one sitting.”
“...you’re truly a romantic for the ages, sunshine,” Akira responded flatly as his heart rate slowly returned to normal. He was teasing back now, because honestly that idea sounded just as good as the picnic, with a lot less effort to set up.
“I know,” he answered confidently, but his smile slipped a little. “Is that a no? I just thought maybe I could buy us dinner from your shitty uncle, and we can cuddle while we take advantage of that big TV with the fancy sound system.” Ryuji gestured hopefully to the flatscreen behind them that was nearly as big as Akira’s bed back at Leblanc.
“Sounds good. Netflix and chill, it is,” Akira declared. When he caught the way Ryuji’s smile and shoulders tightened slightly, he added, “y’know, in the most literal sense.” It wasn’t as though he was happy to see Ryuji nervous, but when his boyfriend relaxed at the reassurance, he couldn’t help but feel relieved that the two of them were on the same page as far as that was concerned.
---
Aki hadn’t been kidding when he said his cousin would hook them up. There was probably double what they’d ordered plus desserts in the bags the guy handed off.
“So, you must be the boyfriend, huh? He talks about you a lot. Y’know, for him.” Yuuta asked as he leaned on the doorway. Ryuji just grinned, because yes, that was him, he was The Boyfriend. Akira’s boyfriend. Akira’s boyfriend. It’d been months and Ryuji still got all giddy about it like it was brand new. Yuuta interrupted his thoughts when he called out past Ryuji to where Akira was sitting and watching TV, “Man, talk about punching above your weight!” Ryuji blushed and opened his mouth to object before Akira could start bragging on how amazing Ryuji was.
Apparently Akira had other plans, because before he could, two sharp whistles rang out behind Ryuji and he reacted basically on instinct. It was the signal Akira had always used to mean duck or you’ll get hit in the Metaverse, and Ryuji’s knees buckled with almost no input from his brain. He had just enough time to worry if he’d spilled the food--thankfully he hadn’t--when one of the couch throw pillows whiffed past his head and nailed Yuuta in the face.
“ACK! The fuck, dude?! See if I give you free dessert again, jackass,” the guy yelled and hucked the pillow back--and missed, from the sound of Akira’s laughter. Ryuji straightened up with a grin as Yuuta turned to him. “How the hell did you two even do that?”
“We’re just cool like that, I guess.” Ryuji shrugged. No need to explain how many times he’d accidentally taken a Lucky Punch or whatever in the back of the head because he got signals mixed up. “Seriously though, thanks for hookin’ us up, dude.” He held up the food and then added a little more quietly, “and, uh, thanks for havin’ Aki’s back while he’s here. It’s easier to not worry if I know there’s at least someone here talkin’ to him besides that damn cat.” That got a snort of laughter out of the delivery guy.
“No problem? I’d say obviously, ‘cause he’s family, but… Well, I’m sure he told you. Our family kinda sucks sometimes.” He frowned, shook his head, then brightened back up. “Anyways, sweet of you to worry. He really did luck out when he found you, huh?” Yuuta said as he stepped back from the door.
Ryuji shook his head. “You got it backwards, man. I’m the lucky one.” He turned back to where his boyfriend was watching TV, now fully absorbed in the show even if he didn’t really look like it. Ryuji couldn’t help the contented sigh that escaped him; he had his boyfriend again and he was going all in on one of Ryuji’s favorite things just because it was one of Ryuji’s favorite things, and it looked like he was actually enjoying it, too. When he turned back, Yuuta was halfway to his scooter, still loaded down with bags of food.
“You really believe that, huh?” He called back. “You keep that attitude, Sakamoto. Even when he’s bein’ a menace, alright? ‘Cause he’s a menace, but he’s my menace, and I’ll serve you up as dumplings if you hurt him!” The scooter rumbled to life and Yuuta added over the noise of the motor, “And you tell him the same thing. I like ya, so he’s gonna be the next lunch special if he’s an asshole to you!”
Ryuji waved in acknowledgment as he sped off, then closed the door and dropped the bag of takeout next to Akira. They paused the episode long enough to sort through the food; a double order of dumplings, pork miso for Akira, spicy vegetable ramen for Ryuji, ginger pork with rice that he was pretty sure they didn’t order at all, and half a goddamn cheesecake for them to split. It was an impressive spread that Akira was already calculating how much was going to be crammed into the fridge at the end of the night.
“Well. Anything we don’t finish tonight can go with us on the picnic?” He suggested as he started on his soup and turned the show back on. They hadn’t made it very far in just yet, and definitely had an uphill battle ahead of them.
Ryuji nodded, mouth already full of noodles. “Shoundsh good to me, dude.” Akira made a face at him like he always did when he talked around a mouth full of food, and Ryuji washed it down with some of the broth. “Family recipe?”
Akira hummed a confirmation around his own food, but paused to actually finish his bite. “Yup. Not as good as the place you took me, but I could just be biased.” Ryuji could hear the smirk in his voice that always cropped up when he was thinking about saying something sappy. Ryuji cut him off before he could, though. Butterflies wouldn’t leave much room in his stomach for ramen.
“I was thinkin’ the same thing. The Ogikubo thing, not the bias thing. Didn’t wanna offend, though.” Ryuji said and took another sizable bite. Even mediocre ramen was still pretty good in his opinion.
Akira chuckled. “Nah. Actually, the ramen there’s always been a little lackluster. I could’ve offered some advice to improve it once I got back, but now? Fuck that guy.”
Ryuji tried not to choke on his food with the laugh that threatened to escape. Scalding, spicy broth shooting out of your nose kinda sucked, especially if you got a noodle along with it. That was an experience he wasn’t keen on repeating. He swallowed down his bite and rasped, “could always pass it on to your cousin. He seems pretty cool when he ain’t threatenin’ to cook us.”
“Ah, you got the shovel talk, then--wait, us?” Akira nodded, but then froze partway and whipped his head around to Ryuji, who nodded in return after clearing his throat.
“Mhm. Said he likes me, ‘n if you break my heart you’re gonna be a lunch special,” Ryuji grinned.
“Asshole. He knows I can’t stand most of what’s in the rotation.” Akira grumbled and pouted into his soup. “What’d he threaten you with?”
“Dumplings.”
Akira’s eyebrows disappeared up into his bangs at that. “Damn, I think he likes you better than me. Uncle’s place is famous for its dumplings,” he explained as he picked the last bit of pork out of his bowl.
“I’m… honored? So is all your family this weird, or is it just you two?” Ryuji asked around another mouthful of noodles. The broth was definitely missing something, but the vegetables were pretty damn good; still pretty crisp but not undercooked. Good flavor on their own, prolly locally grown, too. “Also, how is a place in the middle of nowhere famous for anything?”
“Hey, we still have several other towns nearby, and folks will come here specifically for those dumplings. So you should be honored.” Akira huffed as he popped one of said dumplings in Ryuji’s mouth. Shit, it was pretty killer. Leagues better than his ramen. And of course his boyfriend looked as smug as Morgana when he caught the look on Ryuji’s face. “As for the weirdness? No idea. Around here it’s just me and Yuuta, but I don’t really know much about the ones that don’t live here. Might be because we’re in the middle of nowhere, might be because the ones who live here make a habit of cutting off any undesirables.” Aki shrugged and leaned up against Ryuji. “Maybe I’ll see if I can find any of them when I leave. I dunno.”
Ryuji leaned right back into him and planted a kiss against Aki’s temple, earning himself a pleased little hum from his boyfriend that he felt more than heard. “I’ll be right there with you if you do. I always got your back, babe.” Akira finished his soup and curled up against his side, tucked under one arm. It was nice, even if it meant now Ryuji had to figure out how to eat his ramen one-handed. Eh, he’d figure it out, it’s not like there was much left in the bowl anyway. “So, uh, earlier. You seemed a little tense when I was teasin’ you? And not like usual. I didn’t, like, push too much, did I?”
Akira had suddenly gone very still under his arm. Not the best sign.
“No. But, uh don’t take this the wrong way or anything, I was definitely glad you just wanted to watch One Piece with me. For a second there, I thought you wanted to…” He buried his face against Ryuji’s shoulder. God, his boyfriend was stupidly cute when he got all shy. “...y-y’know. Anyways, I was relieved when you seemed just as nervous about it? Not to be an asshole, but I’m kinda glad it isn’t just me who isn’t ready.”
“Right.” Well, that was that question out of the way, but now he’d paved the way for a new one that’d been rattling around in his head for a while now. God, best case scenario, Akira was probably gonna laugh in his face. Him? Ryuji Sakamoto, of all people, not interested in that? “What if…” He hesitated and tried again. “Well, how long would you be okay with that?”
“What do you mean?” Akira tipped his head up to look Ryuji in the eye. That really didn’t help things, ‘cause even on a good day Ryuji tended to feel small when Akira looked at him like that.
“Like…” Ryuji took a deep breath and steeled himself. “WhatifI’mneverready?” His stomach clenched. There it was, he’d finally said it. Years of wondering if his friends were just exaggerating what they wanted to do with the girls in their class; months of internet research and arguing with himself even when it was the only answer that made sense and trying to backtrack or minimize it with ‘well maybe I’m only kinda like that, maybe I’m that demi thing, maybe I’ll find someone’ to try and soften the blow; a whole year of slowly coming to the realization that that just wasn’t something on the table for him, no matter how attractive Ann was or how close him and Akira got, he just wasn’t wired for wanting that kind of thing, even if he wanted the rest of the sappy, romantic couple shit for as long as he could get it, ideally the rest of his life. All of that had built up to one rushed confession that could make this trip out to the country really effin’ miserable when he still had four more days of crashing at his boyfriend’s place.
“Didn’t... quite catch that?” Akira said after a moment of trying to process what Ryuji had just blurted out. Goddammit. Of course he didn’t.
Ryuji took a deep breath and tried again. “What if… I’m never ready for that? Would that be a dealbreaker?” His heart was hammering as he forced the words out a little more slowly this time. And Akira already looked annoyed. Shit. Shit. He couldn’t look him in the eye and instead stared down at his feet, trying desperately to swallow the queasy feeling in his stomach that threatened to bounce his lunch back up onto the floor in front of him. Ryuji opened his mouth to backpedal, to assure him that if he really wanted to then Ryuji would try for him even if the idea was kind of completely terrifying--
“Of course not!” The sharpness of his tone was what registered first and Ryuji was already braced for a breakup when the words actually hit him. It wasn’t a dealbreaker. It was okay. They were okay. They were... actually okay?
“Wh-- forreal?” Ryuji’s voice cracked embarrassingly and Akira shifted against him, one hand coming up to his chin to make him look at him.
“I already told you, you’re my hero. You…” Akira opened and closed his mouth a few times, like he was looking for the right words and couldn’t find them. One hand cupped Ryuji’s jaw and ran a calloused thumb across his cheek, and Ryuji couldn’t help but press into the touch. “You’re everything to me. I could write books on all the things that make you amazing; your compassion, your kindness, your loyalty, your smile, all of it. So what if we never…” Akira blushed a little, but he seemed determined to power through the embarrassment. “So what if we never have sex? What do I care? I love you, Ryuji Sakamoto, I’m not giving up my sunshine, the best thing that ever happened to me, for anything.”
Ryuji swallowed hard around the lump forming in his throat and buried his face against Akira’s neck. Even away from Leblanc, he still smelled like coffee and curry, still smelled like home. Akira had called it home too, and had told him once that he made Boss’ recipes whenever he was homesick for the cafe, or his team, or… Or for Ryuji. Ryuji wanted to believe him so badly. “It’s easy to say that when you still ain’t ready for it, but--”
“I won’t change my mind,” he insisted so vehemently that no part of Ryuji could even think of an argument. Even the part of him that had been certain for months that even admitting he was asexual to himself would ruin everything. “It’s not like I can’t take care of things myself. And that just means more time for everything else.” Akira paused and pressed a kiss to Ryuji’s forehead. “More time to cook your favorite foods,” kiss, “more time to cuddle,” kiss, “more time to watch our favorite shows, all of it.” Akira dropped one last kiss on his temple and went back to running his fingers through Ryuji’s hair. Then he added, almost too quietly to hear, “for the rest of our lives if you’ll let me.” Let him? He’d fuckin’ beg him if he had to.
“Babe, you’re gonna make me cry,” Ryuji said thickly, as if they couldn’t both feel the wet spots forming on Akira’s shirt from where tears were already streaming down his face. Part of him was still scared he wasn’t going to be enough, and it probably always would be for one reason or another. But for now it was easy to relax into his boyfriend’s embrace and trust that he planned on sticking around a little longer.
Akira kept playing with Ryuji's hair the way he knew he loved and wrapped his other arm tightly around him. He pressed a few more kisses to the top of Ryuji’s head and then asked, “do you need me to stop?” Ryuji shook his head and got another kiss. “Alright. Take all the time you need, sunshine.”
“Thanks, babe.”
“We’re gonna need to restart the episode after, though.”

Park Dates
This took way too long for me to make, because I wanted to give a good first post. Love all of you though. - Ghost Description: Soft, cute dates in the park with your faves. Reader: Gender Neutral | Characters: Phantom Thieves | Genre: Fluff
Published Date: October 20th, 2020
Tumblr media
Akira Kurusu
➳ The park wasn’t out of the question for you two to go out on dates. It was always in the rotation of date spots. However, it was definitely one of his favorites due to them being so much calmer than most places. Akira is a bit of an introvert himself, preferring a soothing place like the park over a busy café or the arcade, especially when spending time with his significant other.
➳ On special occasions, you two would go for a boat ride or have a picnic together. Most of the time, though, you two would just walk around. Your hands always intertwined together, almost like they were glued together. Sometimes conversation would flow casually about what went on that week, but sometimes you two would enjoy the local nature together.
➳ While on your weekend walks, he’ll sometimes give you kisses on your hand tenderly. Giving you the softest eyes after he kisses your hand. (God, he was always the charmer.) Sometimes, if he’s feeling especially gutsy, he’ll even give you a proper kiss beside a tree. The kiss is never too long as he doesn’t want to make the park goers uncomfortable, but it’s always enough to leave your heart fluttering.
Tumblr media
Ryuji Sakamoto
➳ I don’t know if running counts as a date, but your park ‘dates’ are always early morning runs. Ryuji has been determined to get back up to par for the Phantom Thieves, his significant other, and most importantly himself. He knows he won’t be an athlete again like he was, but he wants to feel like that again.
➳ The first few times, you are just the time keeper. Keeping track of his improved times and being emotional support. Every time he gets better, though, he gets a little kiss as a reward. While that’s some definite encouragement though, however he wants you to start running with him. And he brings it up every single time.
➳ Eventually, you do crack though. Those damn puppy dog eyes finally melted your soul. Needless to say, though, it goes about as well as you expected. He completely beats you out and is so far ahead of you that it’s not even fair. When you do catch up, you are nearly out of breath and desperate for water and ramen. After that, the morning run roles become switch up every lap. Both of you giving kisses after the other improves their times.
Tumblr media
Ann Takamaki
➳ Most of your dates honestly aren’t at the park. It’s not that Ann doesn’t like to go to the park, it’s just that she has things she’d rather do together. However, when you do go to the park, it’s usually when one of you is stressed out.
➳ When she’s stressed, it’s usually due to school or work. Most of the time, you’ll take her to the park and have a cute picnic together. Usually the picnic will include something simple like homemade sandwiches and whatever attempt at crepes you made. (She appreciates it no matter the quality, promise.) While you sit by the water, enjoying lunch, she’ll vent about her troubles to you. After the long vent, she’ll finally just lay down in the grass. Breathing out as if she’s letting the pressure get off her chest. She simple appreciates your presence nearby.
➳ When you’re stressed, she’ll drag you to the park. Ann will surprise you with your favorite seasonal treat, letting you vent like you do for her. Whatever stresses, she’ll listen and give you comforting words. She’ll give advice if she can, but either way she’s a shoulder for you to cry on or vent to whenever you need.
Tumblr media
Yusuke Kitagawa
➳ Going to the park was initially your poorly done, flirting tactic. Yusuke usually went there for inspiration, something new to paint. You’d always tag along, trying to get close to him. He’d always let you come with, happy to have a figure to draw with the ever changing lighting by the lake.
➳ Even after you start dating, you two still go to the park together fairly often. Sometimes he needed to go to do an assignment for class, sometimes to drum up inspiration. Occasionally, you’d attempt to draw with him. No matter your skill level, he’d always praise your work, highly encouraging of growing artists. Plus, he secretly loves you taking an interest in his passion.
➳ Park dates become a regular thing between you two. Besides the inspiration, it gives a quiet space to talk together at the end of a long week of fighting shadows and balancing school like the teenage vigilante he is. It’s even more needed if you two aren’t in the same classes or different schools entirely. While he’s not the most physically affectionate, he definitely tells you loving flowery words every date. Usually about how nice you look, your artwork, or even just about you in general. Making it all worth those moments apart.
Tumblr media
Makoto Niijima
➳ Park dates are always during exam season. It’s a new place to study and keeps both of you from being trapped up in a room over a textbook. Plus, the libraries and cafes are usually crowded up with students studying. A study buddy is always good, especially when she’s ridiculously intelligent.
➳Usually between studying biology and English, you’ll people watch. Not in a judgmental way, but definitely pointing out what people are doing. Guessing their ages, what they are doing at the park. Your favorite is guessing the boat couples, seeing what they are up to. (One time you swore you saw Akira and Yusuke on a boat, but Makoto kept denying it.)
➳ The dates aren’t romantic, because they aren’t really traditional dates in a way. It’s just spending time together, which is all that matters. She’s trying to help you improve and you for her. Hearing her speak and help to correct your English pronunciation is more than enough. Also, your grades are looking beautiful after a date with your girlfriend. So bonus.
Tumblr media
Futaba Sakura
➳ Let’s be real, you are the one who drags her to the park. She doesn’t ask to go. The goal is to get her to see some sunlight. It’s not too busy for her anxiety, especially when Akihabara is just too much to handle for you or her. Sojiro or Akira help you out with the convincing to get her to the park, after all someone has to get her outside.
➳ When you get there, you do one of two things: An ARG game, or reading manga together. With the ARG game (think Pokémon GO for reference), you two will wander around collecting items for whatever ARG she’s obsessed with. If she convinces you to download it, you two will run around trying to out compete each other to get the most items and level up the quickest. By the end of it, the winner will be gloating til you both end up laughing on the grass at how silly the taunts get.
➳ If it’s just the two of you reading manga, then it’s honestly pretty relaxing. You’ll share the book. The two of you somewhere reading a volume of hers or your current favorite manga to share in each other’s interests. Futaba will react as she’s reading, which is adorable, but don’t bring it up or she’ll stop. Sometimes she falls asleep, leaning on your shoulder. Maybe it’s good you two got out of the house.
Tumblr media
Haru Okumura
➳ You were friends with Haru before you even began dating her, or even knew her. The local park had a community garden that both of you would go to and help tend every week. You didn’t even know she was a celebrity, just that she was a talented gardener. It was eventually how you two ended up together.
➳ It became a tradition for you two to once a week check on the garden with a few other community members, then take a walk together. While walking, you’ll pick a vendor of the week to buy treats for. It changes every week who pays, even though Haru repeatedly says she can pay over and over. It’s the principle of thing.
➳ The conversations tend to revolve around her trying to get ideas for Okumura Foods. It’s a bit consuming for her thoughts a lot of the time, especially after her father’s passing. You’ll try to pass back-and-forth ideas with her on new ways to help the company. Sometimes the goal of the ‘ideas’ is just to destress Haru and make her laugh. You give a few helpful ideas on occasion though, and she credits you frequently in her next meeting.

Headcanons for middle-school Ryuji, Ann, and Shiho being friends? Also middle-school Ann was a hardcore Kingdom Hearts chuuni. Ryuji may or may not have recorded this for blackmail purposes/embarrassing videos to show at her wedding.
honestly? that's such a valid/in-character hc that it might as well be canon. all jokes aside, this is a very cute request because those three would absolutely be the best of friends...thank you so much! cheers <3
(continued under cut)
Tumblr media
- ryujiiintroduced himself to ann and shiho first.
with shiho, she was the kind of girl who was shy but talkative during class. y'know, the student that answers the teacher's question first, but refuses to talk to kids her age. she befriended ryuji because he refused to leave her alone. as it turns out, that was a great decision!
ryuji and ann were in the same class, so they kind of already knew each other. one day, though, ann was eating lunch by herself (again) and ryuji plopped himself down next to her because he had a fight with his other friends. they had a lot in common, so they continued eating lunch together!
- after a few weeks, ryuji introduced them to each other because they seemed like they'd hit it off. he brought shiho with him to lunch...and they'd actually met each other in art class the day before. a missed opportunity, but now ryuji has (holds up two fingers) TWO friends!
- it's a rare day that these three aren't seen with each other, especially at lunch. shiho has the smallest appetite, so ryuji and ann will take the food that she doesn't want (often fighting over it as well.)
- shiho does well in school, so she'll help ryuji/ann with their grades. not at the same time (it's freaking difficult to get them to focus when they're together), and never for a long time (because inevitably they'll try and worm their way out of it), but a little goes a long way with them. the teachers actually end up giving kudos to those two because of how much their grades have been improving!
- ryuji's mom loves loves loves the girls. if she's ever free, she takes them all out for after school arcade time and dinner. shiho and ann start calling her "mom." ryuji's mom ends up referring to them as ryuji's sisters. they've pretty much taken up the sakamoto name by the time they get to their last year.
- they all have their things that they’re obsessed with. this also gives the other two lots and lots of blackmail material, because they all have photographic/videographic evidence.
ann (as stated in anon’s ask) is a HUGE kingdom arts chuuni. she definitely has keyblades fashioned out of cardboard and marker-colored printer paper hidden in her room. she begs her parents to get her anything KH-themed, from pencil cases to fully themed shirts, on her birthday. (as a second-year in high school, she still has the sora nendoroid that shiho and ryuji pooled their money to get for her.)
i can see shiho being into magical girl animes, particularly sailor moon. ann has a blackmail video of her wearing a white blouse and navy blue skirt, shouting “sailor moon!” as she strikes the famous pose. she does her hair in the twin space buns that sailor moon has (although it was never long enough for her to do the additional pigtails.)
ryuji is hardcore into godzilla. i can see him as that one kid who always has some graphic t-shirt with a godzilla character on it. the back of his phone case absolutely has the titular character itself, courtesy of shiho. ann probably contents herself with editing ryuji’s face onto godzilla screenshots, which she uses as prime meme material.
- ryuji is shorter than both ann and shiho, only by a few centimeters. this lasts until their first year of high school, when ryuji has a huge growth spurt and ann and shiho are petrified.
- their favorite hangout is the park. ann has one of those old DVD players courtesy of her parents, and the three of them will gather together under a tree and watch movies that they take turns picking. ann has always been into cheesy hallmark-esque romance; shiho leans more toward thriller and intense movies; and ryuji has only ever been a fan of action movies.
- shiho does not get most of ryuji and ann’s jokes. however, both of them have contagious laughter, so she often ends up laughing along with them anyway.
- ryuji will defend ann and shiho to the death. he got into a fight with some older kids because they said something mean about “the ditzy foreigner girl and the pussy that hides behind her friends all the time.” ann and shiho bandaged him up because he didn’t want his mom to find out.
he was a little upset because ann and shiho never thanked him, or even acknowledged it after it happened. later, he overheard them defending him against some girls in their class that couldn’t understand why they hung out with a crazy boy like him. he had never felt such warmth in his chest as when he heard how much they cared about him.

P5R: Rebel Girl (A FeMC Story/P5R Rework) Chapter 38: The Strength of Others
After school, Ren went looking for Sumire. Eventually she found her. “Sumire…”
“Oh. Senpai” Sumire said, surprised.
“Um, are you feeling alright?” Ren asked.
Sumire paused for a moment. “Well, I feel a little better, but I’m actually going to talk with Dr. Maruki this afternoon.”
“Oh. I see” Ren said, a bit disappointed.
Sumire smiled. “Don’t worry. You’re still my senpai. You’ll always be someone I can turn to.” Ren lit back up. “But…”
Ren smiled. “I get it. And really, it’s fine. I just knew you were having a hard time today, and I wanted to be sure you’re alright.”
Sumire giggled. “Thank you senpai.” She continued to walk to Dr. Maruki’s office.
Meanwhile, Ren got a text from Ann.
Ann: Hey, Shiho asked us to hang out, and she wants you to come over too.
Ann: Ryuji and I are already outside the school with her.
Ren: Alright. See you in a few.
Ren headed down to the entrance and met up with Ann, Ryuji, and Shiho. “Hey.”
“Hey” Ann said back.
“So, where are we goin’?” Ryuji asked.
“Well, it’s been a bit since we just hung out,” Shiho began, “so I just thought we could do whatever.”
“That sounds great!” Ann said.
“Totally!” Ryuji added.
“Oh. Um, do you want me here then?” Ren asked. They all looked at her. “It’s just… You’ve known each other for a while. I’d hate to intrude…”
Shiho grabbed Ren’s hand. “It’s OK. I asked you to come along.”
“Yeah,” Ann said. “We’d still be fractured if it weren’t for you.”
Ren smiled. “Thanks.”
“Oooo, we should head to the arcade,” Ann suggested. “It’s been a while since we went together.”
“Yeah,” Shiho said.
Ryuji paused for a moment. “What’s that look for?” Ann asked.
“Well…” Ryuji began. He sighed. “I have been recently.”
“Huh?” Shiho said.
“What for?” Ann asked.
“Well, it was when Ren asked us to look after Sumire,” Ryuji explained.
“Oh…” Ann said.
“Yoshizawa-chan?” Shiho asked.
Ren nodded. “She’s going through a lot right now.”
“Oh… Right…” Shiho said. She looked off.
“Shiho…” Ann said. “You can’t blame yourself for everything.”
“I know,” Shiho said. “It’s just… I was so caught up in fighting my own demons that I couldn’t see anyone else’s.”
“It was like that for me too,” Ann said. Shiho was surprised. “I was so preoccupied with what Kamoshida was doing to me that I didn’t give much of a thought to what he was doing to you. I thought I was helping, but I wasn’t. I’m sorry.”
Shiho stood still for a moment. “Heh heh” she giggled. “We can't keep doing this. We’re apologizing so much for what that monster did to us. At some point we need to learn to let it go.”
Ann chuckled back. “You’re right.” The two of them continued laughing.
Once they stopped, Shiho turned to Ren. “So, how do you know Yoshizawa?”
Ren was caught off guard. “Well, we ran into each other on the train. She was standing up to give an old lady her seat, but some business jerk sat in it instead. I offered to help, but she said it was fine. Once we reached our stop, we got out and started talking.”
“I see,” Shiho said. “Well then, what are we waiting for? Let’ head out!” The four of them nodded and they went to the arcade.
Once they got there, Ann gave a sly look to Ryuji. “You didn’t by chance play THAT game with Sumire-chan, have you?”
Ryuji smirked. “Are you kidding? I would never play THAT game without my trusted partner, right.”
“Of course” Ann said. “So let’s…”
“GO!” they both shouted. They rushed to a dancing game machine. They paid and started a dance off.
Ren was slightly confused. “Don’t worry,” Shiho said. “They do this every time they come here.”
“I see…” Ren said.
“I usually watch, since it can be entertaining,” Shiho continued. “But I was thinking, maybe the two of us could try something instead.”
Ren nodded. “Sounds like a plan.”
Shiho looked at a light gun game called Gun About. “This looks fun.” They approached it and began playing two player. While they weren’t fully adept at the game, they could play it well enough.
However, when things got really challenging in the game, Ren noticed Shiho seemed to change. Shiho would get REALLY into it and start yelling at the game intently. When they eventually lost, Shiho got scared for a second. She looked around only to find Ren looking at her. She calmed down. “...Sorry.”
Ren was concerned, but felt like not pushing it at the moment. She simply smiled and said “It’s fine.”
From across the arcade, they could hear Ann and Ryuji still competing with their dancing game. “Oh yeah! Take THAT!” Ryuji shouted.
“Oh no you don’t!” Ann countered.
“Wanna go watch them finish?” Shiho asked. Ren nodded. The two of them walked over. Ryuji and Ann were actually fairly skilled.
Eventually though, Ryuji just barely managed to beat out Ann. “Oh YEAH! Who’s the king?!”
“Ugh, no fair” Ann pouted. “You came here without me!”
“I did so all the time back when I was in track, and you never got mad at me then” Ryuji argued.
“WHAT?!” Ann shouted.
“Oh um, you didn’t know?” Ryuji stammered. Ann glared at him. “I never played the game without you before… Honest.”
Ann still glared at him. However, she just looked away and said “I’ll believe you. For now.”
“It’s always like this,” Shiho said. Ann and Ryuji looked up to see their friends.
“How do you manage?” Ren asked.
“Well, they’re my friends,” Shiho answered. The two of them giggled.
“Hey! Quit it” Ann asked, annoyed.
“Yeah, don’t make it sound like we’re a bunch of weirdos” Ryuji added.
“Relax,” Shiho said. “We’re here to have fun, aren’t we?” That softened Ann and Ryuji a little bit. “C’mon, let’s keep going.” They spent some more time playing different games at the arcade. Ren was a little concerned about Shiho, but she didn’t seem to react to anything else like she did with Gun About.
Eventually, they left and went somewhere to eat. “Man, it’s been a while since I’ve felt like this,” Ryuji said.
“I know what you mean,” Ann said. “Although next time I’ll win for sure.”
“Oh yeah?” Ryuji said. “I’d like to see that.”
They continued to argue with each other about the dancing game. Ren looked on for a bit until Shiho asked “You’re rooting for them too, aren’t you?”
“Huh?” Ren said, caught a little off guard. She looked at the squabbling pair again. “Yeah.” She turned back to Shiho. “How do you know they like each other?”
“Well, I’ve been their friend for a while now,” Shiho explained. “I can just sense these things.”
“Any tips I can pick up on?” Ren asked.
Shiho chuckled. “Well, let me ask you this: How long did it take for Ryuji to ask you out?”
“Almost immediately” Ren answered. “Well, technically, he was gearing up for it when I shot him down.”
“I see,” Shiho said. “When I first met Ryuji, it was kind of the same. One of our first interactions, he made a pass at me. I kindly rejected him, saying I wasn’t interested in anything like that.”
“I see,” Ren said.
“Although, I didn’t hate him for it, and we still remained friends,” Shiho said. “He hasn’t tried since. However, he has yet to ask Ann out even once.”
“You’re kidding,” Ren said, surprised.
Shiho shook her head. “That’s Ryuji’s tell. Whenever he’s serious about something, he’ll try his best not to mess it up. You should have seen him in his track days. He might be lacking in the brains department, but he was really serious about perfecting everything about his track performance.
It’s the same with him asking people out. He usually expects failure, so he doesn’t give much thought whenever he asks someone out. However, he REALLY wants it to work out with Ann, so he hasn’t asked.”
“I see,” Ren said. “So what’s Ann’s tell?”
“Well, honestly, it’s kind of the same,” Shiho said. “Ann’s used to all sorts of attention from guys, so she never pays it much mind. However, she does care about what Ryuji thinks.”
“Oh, I’ve seen that,” Ren said. Shiho looked at her. “Something happened recently where it ended with Ann and Ryuji having a heat to heart.”
“I see,” Shiho said. She giggled. “Did Ryuji say something stupid again?”
“Yeah,” Ren said.
Shiho smiled. “Poor Ryuji. Always so close, yet always no cigar.” The two of them laughed.
Ryuji and Ann stopped squabbling. “Hm?” Ryuji grunted.
“What are you two talking about?” Ann asked.
Shiho and Ren looked at each other, turned to them, and said “Nothing” before giggling some more. Ann and Ryuji were curious, but couldn’t think of anything to follow up on that.
After they finished eating, Ryuji and Ann headed home. Shiho was about to do the same when Ren grabbed hold of her. “Wait,” she said. Shiho looked at her. Ren let go. “Um, you don’t have to tell me, but what happened with the whole Gun About thing?”
Shiho looked distant for a second. “I suppose I should open up to you about myself a little more. It’s only fair, since I did it with Ryuji and Ann.” Shiho refocused herself. “I guess… I just got a little overwhelmed. And recently when I’ve felt overwhelmed, it was because of Kamoshida.”
“Oh” Ren said.
“It sucks,” Shiho said. “I vowed to bring back the volleyball team, but if I can’t get over Kamoshida, how can I bring everyone back?”
Ren was confused. “You haven’t started?”
Shiho shook her head. “I’ve been practicing on my own, but I don’t have the confidence. I want to bring the team together, but if I’m still afraid, I don’t know what will happen.”
Ren pondered this for a second. “Um, no offence, but I think you might have this backwards.”
“Huh?” Shiho said, surprised.
“It’s just, what you said got me thinking” Ren said. “Back at home, I was incredibly anti-social. But ever since I transferred here and met new people, I’ve gained a whole lot of confidence. I’ve been able to do things I hadn’t even thought possible back where I come from. So maybe you don’t need to get over Kamoshida to bring the team back; you need to bring the team back to get over Kamoshida.”
Shiho was stunned. “You’re right. Heh heh. I can’t believe I didn’t see it before. One of the reasons I love volleyball is because it’s a team effort in the first place. Everyone has their part to play. You can’t function alone.” Shiho smiled. “I’ve been so blinded by the darkness in that man’s heart that I had forgotten that.” She turned to Ren. “Thank you.”
“No problem,” Ren responded.
“So, if you don’t mind me asking, do you know what your tell is?” Shiho asked.
“Huh?” Ren asked.
“I think I figured it out, but I want to be sure,” Shiho continued. “So, what do you do when you like someone?”
“Oh, well…” Ren said. “Usually, I just… let them drift away…”
“Huh” Shiho said, not expecting that answer.
“It’s just, whenever I’ve liked someone in the past, it always ended up not working out” Ren explained. “So I’ve gotten in the habit of not trying…”
Shiho smiled. “Looks like it’s time for me to return the favor.” Ren looked at her. “We’re all still growing, so while you have come a long way since coming to Tokyo, I’m sure you can gain enough confidence that when you find someone you like you can ask them out.”
Ren smiled. “I hope so too.”
“Trust me,” Shiho said. “Everyone has a part to play. I’m sure someone will come along to play the part of your lover.”
Ren giggled. “You really have what it takes to lead a team.” Shiho blushed. Ren blushed soon after. “Thank you.”
Shiho smiled. “You’re welcome.”
Hope-Shiho Suzui: Rank 3
Ren and Shiho split off to head back to their homes.
Once Ren entered LeBlanc, Sojiro turned to her. “Heh. You look chipper today.”
Ren smiled. “I finally had a little time to relax this after noon with some friends.”
“I see,” Sojiro said. “Maybe I should-” Before he could finish his thought, he got a phone call. “Hello?...Oh, yes...I see...Very well...See you soon.” He hung up. “I have to close early tonight.”
Ren nodded. “Very well.”
Just as Sojiro was about to leave, Ren heard him mutter under his breath “I hope you’ll be ready soon. I’d like you to meet her.” She found it confusing, but didn’t think she could ask Sojiro about just what that meant. At least, not yet.
Almost immediately after Sojiro left, Ren got a phone call. “Hello?”
“Ah. I’m glad you picked up.”
Ren was confused. “Lavenza?”
“That is correct,” she confirmed. “I thought we could make good on our bargain.”
Ren tried figuring out what she meant. “Oh, you mean me taking you about town?”
“Indeed” Lavenza said. “I’ll be waiting.” Lavenza hung up. Ren felt like she had nothing better to do, so she left LeBlanc and headed out.
Once Ren made it to the Velvet Room door, she saw Lavenza standing outside. “Hey” she said.
“Hello” Lavenza responded.
“So, do you just want me to show you around town, or…?” Ren asked.
“Actually, I have a specific request,” Lavenza said. “I have heard tell of a place where the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in outer space. Where the food is more massive than the cosmos themselves.”
Ren thought about that for a moment. She then realized what Lavenza meant. “Oh, are you thinking of the Big Bang Burger?”
“I believe that is what I’ve heard people call it, yes” Lavenza answered. “You seem to know about it, so could you take me there?”
Ren smiled. “Of course. Let’s go.”
Ren started to walk, but felt a tug on her skirt. She looked back to find Lavenza holding on. “Um, if it’s alright with you, could we please hold hands?” Ren smiled and reached her hand out. Lavenza grabbed hold, and the two of them walked over to Big Bang Burger.
Upon entry, they heard some clapping. Lavenza looked over to see some of the wait staff congratulating an exhausted-looking patron. “Trickster, what is going on there?”
Ren looked over. “Oh, they just completed the Big Bang challenge.”
“What is this ‘Big Bang Challenge’?” Lavenza asked.
“Well, they give you this enormous burger, and if you can finish it, you get rewarded” Ren answered.
“I see,” Lavenza said. When they approached the counter, Lavenza placed one of her hands up there as best she could. “Hello. I wish to partake in the Big Bang Challenge.”
“Huh?” The server said, confused. She looked down at Lavenza. She smiled nervously. “I’m sorry, but we have an age limit. I’m afraid you can’t take the Big Bang Challenge. But I can get you a kid’s meal, if you would like.”
“I see,” Lavnza said, slightly disappointed. She looked at Ren. “Would it be possible for you to try the Big Bang Challenge?”
Ren looked down at Lavenza. Lavenza’s big doe eyes made it hard for her to say no. “Sure, I guess.”
“Then it is settled,” Lavenza said. She turned back to the server. “She will take the challenge, and I will graciously accept your offer of this ‘kid’s meal’.”
“Awe, aren’t you just adorable” the server said. “Right this way then.” Ren and Lavenza got seated.
Lavenza got her meal, and shortly after Ren was presented with the Big Bang Challenge. “Woah!” Lavenza said. She looked hesitant. Ren looked over. “You… You don’t have to eat all of that… if you don’t want to…”
Ren saw that Lavenza was feeling slightly guilty for putting her up to this. She simply smiled and said. “It’ll be alright.”
“3...2...1...GO!” the server said. Ren began eating.
Lavenza looked on in amazement. “Woah! Can she really do it?” she wondered. Ren continued. “She's only doing this because I asked her to.” Ren kept going. Lavenza got determined. “YOU CAN DO IT! GO GO GO!” Ren gained a second wind and started eating faster.
Thanks to Lavenza’s encouragement, Ren managed to finish the challenge. “Oh my. We have another champion” the server said. “Congratulations!”
“Heh. Thanks” Ren said, a little out of it. “Can I get some water?”
“Of course.” The server went to fulfill Ren’s request.
“Hey,” Lavenza said. Ren managed to look at her. “Thanks.” Ren nodded.
“Here you go” the server said, giving Ren her water. “And here’s your prize.”  She handed Ren her prize.
While Ren was resting up, Lavenza finished eating her food. Once she was finished, Lavenza looked at Ren. “Are you… able to move?” Ren nodded. “Very well. I am ready to leave.” Ren paid for the food, and the two walked out. Once outside, Lavenza turned to Ren and asked. “How are you feeling?”
Ren looked at her. “Well, I’ve been better, but I also feel some sense of accomplishment. So, overall, I think I’m alright.”
“I see…” Lavenza said.
“Is there any reason you wanted to take the Big Bang Challenge?” Ren asked.
“Well, when you told me what it was, I thought it would be a good way to test my meddle,” Lavenza explained. Ren was surprised, but intrigued. “Ever since this whole thing began, I’ve been thinking. While it had not come to pass, there was a being with the ability to split me in two and overpower my Master. Such strength is unimaginable. As my Master’s assistant, I should be able to protect him, but…”
Ren smiled. “I get ya.”
“I asked Master if I could go out and learn about the world in order to get stronger, but even then I had to ask you to escort me as well…” Lavenza lamented.
Ren patted Lavenza’s head. “Wanna know something?” Lavenza nodded. “There’s a strength in that as well. Admitting something like that isn’t easy. It can be painful. But if you’re determined, you can utilize something you think is a weakness and turn it into strength. Of course, having people on your side is helpful too.”
“I see,” Lavenza said. “Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it,” Ren said.
Lavenza thought. “You know, I noticed that you began doing better at the challenge once I started cheering you on. Such is the strength of the Wild Card.” Ren was curious about where this was going. “Your bonds with people and Personas alike are your strength. Perhaps if I were to have been split, you could have made me whole again.”
Ren smiled. “I’d like to think so. Although, that isn’t just my strength.” Lavenza was curious. “I think everyone could tap into that kind of strength.”
Lavenza thought. “Indeed. The Fool, the card that represents you on this journey, is also a representation of humanity as well. Perhaps even I could learn from humanity’s strength. Of course, I will continue asking you to assist me.”
Ren smiled. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
I am thou... Thou art I… Thou hast acquired a new vow...
It shall become the wings of rebellion that breaketh thy chains of captivity.
With the birth of the Strength Persona I have obtained the winds of blessing that shall lead to freedom and new power.
Strength-Lavenza: Rank 1
“Although, I guess I will have to wait a bit until I can take the Big Bang Challenge,” Lavenza said.
“Aw, it’ll be alright,” Ren said. “I mean, there are advantages to you being you now. I mean, you got that cool rocket ship toy, right?”
Lavenza took out the rocket ship toy and smiled. “I guess that’s true. This is indeed amusing.” She began playing with it.
Ren giggled. She reached out her hand. “Come on. Let’s get you home.” Lavenza nodded. She took Ren’s hand, and Ren guided her back to the Velvet Room. Afterwards, she returned to LeBlanc and fell asleep soon after, since she didn’t have the energy to do much else after the Big Bang Challenge.

You had said you weren't ready to go home after your excursion in Mementos, and while almost everyone in the group insisted they needed their rest or study, Ryuji had agreed to stay with you for a while longer before heading home himself. You two had grabbed some sodas and were now sitting in your normal meeting spot, as standing after all that running around had worn out your legs.
In fact, you couldn't help but notice Ryuji rubbing his knee every few minutes. He was trying to be subtle about it, but it was never his strong suit, so it had become noticeable rather quickly.
"Does it hurt?" You asked, breaking the silence that had settled on you two as you watched the people walk by in their hurry to get home.
This seemed to surprise him, making him jump. "What? Nah, I'm fine."
He wasn't a very good liar, either.
You were acutely aware of his pre-existing issue with his leg involving Kamoshida all that time ago. But that hadn't stopped him from stepping in front of you earlier to take a blow that would have surely left you unconscious at the very least. The shadow had swung low, and it was obvious it had hit his weak spot.
"Hey... about earlier. I never got to thank you. You saved my neck back there. I really owe you." You finally said after a bit of deliberation.
"You don't gotta thank me. It was nothing. Don't even worry about it." His body seemed tenser than it was a moment ago, which further drew your attention.
"No, really, thank you. It's really good to know that I have someone I can rely on in there when it really counts. That's really important, doing what we do."
Your eyes studied his body language, his posture, his facial expression. The attention seemed to fluster him, making him look away from you.
"O-Of course. We're, uh, friends, right?" He replied, looking at the wall across from him, bringing the bottle to his mouth to take a sip of his drink.
"I was hoping we were more than that."
He immediately choked, causing the fluid to partially shoot out his nose while also going down his windpipe. Your hand moved to pat his back in alarm, trying to calm him down as he coughed his way through it.
"W-Wait, for real? You wanna... with me?" He asked after his throat cleared, looking back at you, eyes blown wide.
You hummed an affirmative as you nodded, smiling softly back at him.
"Well then... Do you wanna head to the arcade?"
"Hell yeah."

Sorry for the delay everyone, but here are some ideas for the prompts to get the creative juices flowing in case you need a little assistance!
All of the ideas created below are strictly for the prompts presented and are not based upon any music that the title may associate with.
September 1st: Party/It’s Not Rocket Science
Party: There’s a saying out there-- “life’s a party!”. What does this mean to our boys? It could be at the beach, it could be a birthday, or hey! Maybe it’s their anniversary! Or maybe they’re just celebrating finally getting one night to hang out after the Protagonist had to head back home! It’s a party of some sort! Let them celebrate however they want, be it alone or with friends!
It’s Not Rocket Science: It may not be rocket science, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy either! But what’s the task? Is the Protagonist in need of a smooth way to ask out his favorite blonde? Does Ryuji need some help with his math homework? Life’s not easy, and a lot of things can be thrown our way. Thankfully, our friends (or maybe boyfriend too) can be a huge help!
September 2nd: Healing/Charge
Healing: Post interrogation was rough for the both of our boys. Work in the metaverse is really dangerous, and might require a little help from dia or a katsu bun! Or maybe one of them is just sick! Call a doctor, head to bed, and drink some orange juice! Or maybe someone is stressed and just needs a day away from everything to “heal” up! Let your boyfriend take care of you for a little bit!
Charge: On your mark! Get set! Go! We’re running head first into something big! Is it a water park? Learning a new skill together? Maybe a situation needs one of our boys to take the lead. Maybe one of them needs to take a strong strike at an enemy! Better focus! We’re rushing into this thing head first!
September 3rd: Fun ‘N Games/Leap of Faith
Fun ‘N Games: Summertime in Japan means loads and loads of festivals! Put on your favorite yukata and hold your boyfriend’s hand while you explore different stalls! Scoop some fish! Eat some food! Or maybe they just want to spend some time at Leblanc playing some video games. Arcades are fun too! And what about board games? Our boys want to have fun together!
Leap of Faith: Sometimes life is really difficult. Sometimes we have to close our eyes, put our trust in some crazy idea, and just jump into a situation. Making deals with self-proclaimed gods, asking out your new best friend when you’re not really sure he’s even into you-- it’s putting trust in your ideas. Sure, it’s scary! But you’ll never know unless you try, right? It’s better to do something rather than regret not doing it!
September 4th: Mythos/Far Far Away
Mythos: Mythos means mythology. Are hey learning more about the creatures that may walk the earth alongside us? Maybe they’re studying some religion? Or perhaps Ryuji is coming up with a crazy story of his own! Reading some manga, studying for an in-class lesson, or creating new falsehoods, it all may have something to do with a myth! Rumor has it that sharing a kiss when you’re stuck at the top of the Ferris wheel means you’ll be bound together forever as well. Maybe we should test that theory out!
Far Far Away: Home is a long train ride away for the Protagonist. It’s not always easy being a fair distance apart. But can their relationship handle the distance? Maybe one of them is on a business trip! Maybe even sitting across the table inside of a safe room is too far away from each other for their liking! Gosh, any sort of distance from your favorite person can be really difficult, and you can’t blame them for not liking it one bit!
September 5th: Summertime Sadness/Thank You, Next
Summertime Sadness: Not everything about summer is great. Cicadas are loud and can keep you awake when you’re tired, maybe you lost a scooping game at a festival, or maybe something else is bothering you. Did the Protagonist forget Ryuji’s birthday this year? Maybe it’s just too hot for our boys and they’re not happy about it. Even the most fun times of the year can’t be perfect!
Thank You, Next: On your third bowl of ramen already? Helping out your boyfriend with the next part of your homework? Or maybe someone is really enthusiastic for some more kisses! Come on, Ryuji! Hurry up! The Protagonist surely will melt if he doesn’t get enough smooches to last him the hour! We’re looking for more! Maybe a little greedy, huh?
September 6th: Free Day
Free Day: Is there a prompt that you wanted to do for the couple that wasn’t on the list? Today is your day! Explore a new idea! Write in a different style than you’re used to! Usually write something cute? Try something dramatic! With a day that lets you do whatever you want, the possibilities are endless!
September 7th: Glow/21st Century Lights
Glow: The light from lanterns can cast a nice light on someone’s face. Looking at someone in a new light can spark many memories and feelings, so maybe they can be the start of something new as well! Seeing Ryuji in a new light might make the Protagonist fall in love at first sight, or maybe the “glow” is just the brightest smile in the world from their boyfriend!
21st Century Lights: The faint glow of a cell phone screen lighting up at night with an “I love you” text from someone you love can bring a smile to anyone’s face. Maybe it’s the light of a laptop screen when you finally get to see your boyfriend’s face again after a busy week. Or maybe it’s just holding hands and walking down one of the bright streets of Shinjuku on a late-night date! Lights mean hope, and this is a modern love!

hold my hand and never let go
part two to “i want to get used to this”
summary: After finally getting together, Ryuji Sakamoto and Akira Kurusu were officially a couple. It's weird to get used to, and everyone in the Phantom Thieves watches their every move. Finally, they decide to go on a "real" first date as a "real" couple.
Before he could say anything else, Akira grabbed Ryuji’s hand, intertwined their fingers completely, and gave it a small squeeze.
“It’ll be okay, Ryuji. I’ll be here to protect you.”
“Heh. Okay.” His heart was beating really fast now, but he wasn’t sure if it was because of his impending doom or because of the warmth of Akira’s hand. “Just...just don’t let go.”
“Never,” Akira whispered, and then the ride started.
pairing: Akira Kurusu/Ryuji Sakamoto

Leave this blue neighbourhood
Never knew loving could hurt this good, oh
And it drives me wild
'Cause when you look like that
I've never ever wanted to be so bad, oh
It drives me wild
- wild,  troye sivan
It had been a while since Ryuji had been to Dome Town, but, after a bit of intense Phantom Thieves activities, him and Akira finally decided to take a break. They were always together, of course, but it wasn’t the same when you were surrounded by your teammates. You could always tell the group was curious about the couple; they paid attention to every single glance and touch, and if they ever showed real affection toward each other in the group, they would definitely make an effort to point it out. At some point it got exhausting, so it was Ryuji who had decided to finally ask Akira on a real, official date.
Well, Ryuji decided, the park wasn't a real date. They were clearing up feelings, and they weren’t really a “couple” yet. Now they were out to their friends and to Soijiro, they finally felt like something real, something concrete. Ann just had to criticize Ryuji’s lack of romanticism every chance she got. She cared about their leader, and wanted to make sure he was getting the best treatment. They had kissed and gotten even more personal in the bedroom, yet they never really had a real date? They hadn’t had much time to celebrate the fact that they were finally a couple, so it only seemed fitting to go all out.  Ryuji decided to take the lead and pay for the tickets, to which Akira protested, but, after finally getting everything settled, they decided to take a day off Phantom Thieves work and head to Suidobashi.
When they got through the ticket lines and finally entered Dome Town, they stopped to look around. People were everywhere, in every nook and cranny. It was blazing hot, and even in Ryuji’s red tank and cargo shorts, it was like he could feel every ray of sun. Akira was wearing little clothing as well, but even with the dark tones of his clothes, he looked, at the very most, a little uncomfortable.
“You did put on sunscreen, didn't you?” Akira asked considerably. Of course he did, Ryuji thought.
“Uh, yeah, I think so.” To be honest, Ryuji wasn’t too sure, but it was too late now. He didn't bring any with him. Besides, he didn't want to focus on anything besides Akira.
They decided to push through the huge crowd, when finally noticed what may have brought it in the first place.
“Woah!” Ryuji exclaimed. “Is that f’real?” Ryuji had to physically tilt his head back to get the full view of the monstrous rollercoaster, just like if he was in the front seat at the movies. The rollercoaster was extremely tall, probably just as tall as Mementos was deep. It made Ryuji’s stomach drop just looking at it.
“Wow,” was all that came out of Akira’s mouth. However, it didn't sound overwhelmed, but instead was full of excitement. Ryuji gulped.
“You don’t...want to go on that, do you?”
Akira chuckled. “You don’t want to go? I think it’d be fun.”
“Fun?! You could probably die on that, ‘Kira!” He stepped closer to his boyfriend. “I don’t want to lose you on that death coaster!”
“What, are you afraid?”
Ryuji stepped back, appalled.
“Me, scared of a rollercoaster? No way! I fight Shadows! I’m not scared of nothin’!” He crossed his arms and tapped his toes as he looked back at the rollercoaster. The line was huge. They would probably be there for hours, at the least. “I don’t know if it’s a good idea. I wouldn’t want you to piss your pants on our first real date.” Akira guffawed.
“I don’t think I’d be the one pissing my pants in this situation.” He paused. “You know, if we went on it, maybe we could get one of those shirts. You know, ‘I survived!’ and all that.”
“Yeah, and I mean, of course I would do that for you! But, it doesn’t look that interesting anyway! It’s just one big drop! Where’s the loops? Where’s the twists and turns?!” Ryuji sighed and look back at Akira. “Why’re you looking at me like that?”
“If you want, I’ll hold your hand.”
“Stop that!!” Ryuji huffed. “Maybe next time. That line’ll take hours, dude. Why don’t we go somewhere else? I don’t want to waste any more time on that disappointment of a coaster.”
“If you say so,” Akira mumbled with a smirk. “Lead the way.”
!
The arcade was the next stop. Ryuji absolutely loved the arcade, and as much as he loved the ones in Shibuya, the one at Dome Town was twice as big and all the games were upgraded with bigger prizes. First, him and Akira played the gun game where you had to shoot all the zombies. Pshh, he said as they played, shootin’ Shadows is easier than this! Akira, of course, had shot every single one right in the head. Next, they had shot hoops. This one wasn’t at Shibuya, and Ryuji had never been much of a basketball guy, but he somehow managed to beat Akira at this one. After that was air hockey, which Ryuji played every day in Shibuya, but Akira beat him by a very narrow margin.
Before they decided to leave, Akira found a claw machine hidden in the corner. It was small, but it didn't cost much.
“Hey, Ryuji?”
“Huh? What’s up?”
“Pick one.”
“Ah, Akira, don’t waste your time. Those things are impossible, so this one is probably rigged to high heaven.” Akira smirked at him.
“Just pick one.” Ryuji sighed and looked around the small glass box.
“Fine. I pick...that panda in the middle.” It was right in the center of the box, it’s arm barely sticking out of the pile of animals.
“One panda, coming right up.” Akira put in his coins as Ryuji leaned onto the claw machine, watching as Akira delicately pushed the joystick until it was hovering just above the panda’s arms. He hesitated, letting the shaking claw settle until it was completely still, before he pushed the button and let the claw descend into the animals. Ryuji watched intently as the panda he requested effortlessly was picked up by the claw and dumped into the hole.
“What?! Are you for real?” Akira chuckled under his breath.
“Don’t tell anyone, but I’m kind of a pro at the claw machine.”
“Did they have one where you lived before?”
“Yeah. Well, Inaba was in short supply of arcade games, but there was one at our local supermarket, Junes. I played it every day, I think. I won a few prizes for my parents, and some friends, and then I just kind of kept a collection of them.”
“Ha. I wish I could see them.”
“Maybe one day you will.” Ryuji smiled warmly at his significant other as he pulled the stuffed panda out of the slot. Ryuji brushed his finger over the soft fur of his panda.
“Okay, you won me something, now I have to win you something.”
“That’s alright, Ryuji, I don’t want you to embarrass yourself--”
“Screw you, ‘Kira! I can win you a prize just as easy as you did.” Akira shoved his hands in his pockets and grinned at Ryuji as he slid the coins in the slot. “Which one do you want? Quick, before I run out of time!”
“That black cat in the corner,” Akira whispered. “It kind of looks like Mona.”
“What?! I picked the easy one in the middle--”
“You asked which one I wanted!” Akira claimed, laughing.
“Okay, shit. Shit!” The adults shot Ryuji a dirty look, but he was too indulged in the winning of Akira’s cat. The claw, still shaking, dove toward the black cat, but to no avail. The claw ascended, completely empty. “Crap,” Ryuji whispered. He lightly kicked the machine. “This thing’s a hunk of junk.”
“That’s all right. I already have a Mona, anyway.”
“I’m sorry.” Akira put his hand on the small of Ryuji’s back.
“It’s fine. I don’t need a prize. Just you.”
“‘Kira…” Ryuji tried desperately tried to hide the slight blush in his cheeks. “Hey, wait a second!” Ryuji ran up to the counter and grabbed all of his tickets. “Here.” He shoved them toward the teller and the turned around quickly. “Hey, don’t look! Turn around. Yeah. Seriously. Don’t look.” Akira did what he was told and turned around. “How much do I have? Yeah, okay. I’ll, uh...I’ll take that one, please. That’s fine, I don’t want the rest...Okay, turn around now.” Akira turned around to find Ryuji’s hand clasped in a fist. “Hold out your hand.” Akira’s hand outstretched and opened before Ryuji placed his gift in Akira’s open palm, enjoying the brief second of touching.
In Akira’s hand held a small bracelet, one that a child would make as a friendship bracelet, one made out of red thread and tied at the ends.
“I know it’s not a Mona cat, but it reminded me of you.”
“Thank you,” Akira whispered. “It’s great, Ryuji.” Out of all the times during the day that Akira wanted to kiss him, this was the most prominent one.
!
“Look, Akira.” It was late at night now, and there were definitely less people around. The couple had decided to be a little risky and let their fingers intertwine just a little as they walked toward the front.
“What is it?”
“The line,” Ryuji mumbled. “The line for the ride. It’s way short now. If you still want to get on it...maybe we have time to get that t-shirt.”
Akira smiled at him.
“You would do that for me?”
“It’s just a rollercoaster.” Ryuji sighed. “Besides, I think I could get through anything as long as I’m with you.”
!
The line was so short that they got into the cars of the rollercoasters in less than ten minutes. As Ryuji and Akira got strapped in, Ryuji decided to get a full look of what he was getting himself into. From his seat, he couldn’t even see the top of the huge hill; it was all the way through the clouds in the sky. He was fine in the line, but now, with his straps completely in, he was finally having second thoughts.
“Akira...Akira, I’m not so sure about this.” His voice was shaking as they escaped his lips. “God, it’s so freaking tall. I don’t think I’m gonna survive--!”
~
Darling, only you can ease my mind / I'll admit, for a moment I felt so afraid
Just to show you the mess that I made / There are pieces I usually hide
But when you collect me with your steady hand /With a language that I understand
I feel put back together inside
- ease my mind, ben platt
After a long day at Dome Town, they finally decided to head back to Shibuya. They stopped, first, to get some food (ramen, of course) and to show off their awesome t-shirts. Ryuji had, after the ride was over, asked to go again, but the ride, along with the rest of Dome Town, was closed for the night. Akira had enjoyed the ride, but he had spent most of it making sure Ryuji was okay instead of actually paying attention to the thrill.
The ramen was, as per usual, delicious, and Akira enjoyed watching Ryuji devour the ramen like he hadn’t ate for days. He knew that Ryuji did this whether he was hungry or not, but he figured after their long day he deserved a hearty meal. Akira had been swirling his bracelet around his wrist, waiting for Ryuji to finish his next bowl, as a pretty girl walked up to him.
“Excuse me,” the girl whispered. “You’re that new transfer student, aren’t you?” Akira noticed the girl’s friend behind her just slightly freaking out. Ryuji stopped mid slurp to join the conversation.
“Yo, he’s trying to eat his food,” Ryuji muttered, despite Akira’s bowl being completely empty. The girls ignored Ryuji’s statement.
“I just wanted to say it was really brave of you to stand up to Kamoshida and everything like that. He was a terrible man, really. I’m sure if it weren’t for you, Kamoshida would be doing more terrible things. So thank you!” The girl blushed.
“It’s no problem,” Akira responded. “If you don’t mind, I really must be getting back to my meal.” This time, the girl bowed and walked away politely with her friend, and then bursting into giggles. Ryuji resumed his slurp.
“I think ‘m done,” Ryuji mumbled. “Let’s go home.”
!
“Ryuji.” He was walking ahead awfully fast. “Ryuji, hold on.” Akira sped up just to match Ryuji’s pace before they made it back to Leblanc. They walked inside quickly and Akira closed the door behind them, making the sure the OPEN sign was flipped to CLOSED. As he turned around, he noticed Ryuji was all the way up the stairs. Akira sighed as he walked up the stairs and saw Ryuji sitting on his bed, his foot tapping aggressively against the floor. “Ryuji…?” Ryuji was silent. “Hey, you don’t have to let that girl ruin our day, you know. She was just being nice.”
“She didn't ruin my day. And she wasn’t just being nice! It was obvious she wanted to get with you!” Ryuji stood up quickly.
“Get with me?”
“You don’t think I notice all the girls who can’t keep their eyes off you? You’re the charming, smart, kind transfer student from the middle of nowhere who also has a criminal record. You’re basically irresistible, ‘Kira. Even the girls in the group are all over you.”
“That’s not true. Besides, they’re only friends, and you know that.” Ryuji was silent. “You do know that, don’t you?”
“It’s just...why me? You know? You’ve got all these girls who would kill to be with you and you choose me. Not only am I a dude, I’m also loud, and rude, and dumb, and I ruin everybody’s lives. You’ve really picked a keeper, huh?” Ryuji’s head dropped.
“Where is this coming from?” Akira asked.
“I don’t...I don’t know. I guess...I guess once all this Kamoshida shit happened, and I got the team disbanded...I lost all my friends. I lost all the friends I thought would do anything for me. That shit burns, you know? All of the people I trust...I don’t know, I guess since then it’s been hard for me to see that people are just here to be my friend and won’t just leave when shit starts to hit the fan.” Akira’s hand gently grabbed onto Ryuji’s and gave it a tight squeeze.
“I’m not going anywhere, Ryuji.”
“I know. I know that. It’s just...sometimes my mind plays tricks on me, that’s all.”
“You’re my first real friend here, you know that? The first person I ever really talked to? You didn't have to talk to me that day, but you did.”
“You didn't have to save my life, but you did.”
“Exactly.” Akira stepped toward him and placed his finger in the loops of Ryuji’s shorts. “You know, besides what we did the other day...I never did it.”
“You’re a virgin?”
“Don’t act so surprised. Besides, all of the girls in Inaba had their eyes on another guy.”
“Impossible,” Ryuji whimpered. They were silent for a second.
“I want you to have it,” Akira whispered into Ryuji’s ear. “So you know I’m yours.”
“You don’t have to do this because I’m jealous,” Ryuji whispered.
“No. I want to.”
“Then...then you can have mine, too.”
Akira kissed him passionately, pushing him back onto his bed. As they parted, Akira hovered over him.
“Ryuji, I’m going to prove how much you mean to me, even if it takes all night. Even if it kills me.”

Headcanons on P5 Akira, Ryuji, Yusuke and Futaba's reaction when they find out Reader is an Anti-shadow weapon(Like Aigis)?
respecc the toaster
Reader is gender neutral
CW (CONTENT WARNING): Swearing
Tumblr media
| Akira Kurusu |
- His belief on androids weren’t too far off. He did read in an article that there were a secret organization that produced androids before so he doesn’t think the possibility of androids we’re far-fetched.
- So when you reveal that you were an android during a Palace exploration had him both surprised and understanding that, oh… that makes sense. It makes a lot of sense actually. At least he knows the reason why you don’t want to eat his curry.
- Wants to know the history of Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons. He was curious about how there were people who fought Shadows way before the Phantom Thieves and that there were other cases that had a ‘different world’ like the Metaverse. He hopes to make use of the information during trips to Palaces or the like.
- Of course, being metal and plastic doesn’t change his love for you. You stayed with him despite what people say about him, despite his record, despite every single hell that he’s gone through and that was enough for him to show his truest form to you. Hates it when you try to defend him from attacks, whether Shadow or human bullies. He knows you can take more than any human but he doesn’t want to see you get hurt because of him. Despite saying that you can repair yourself, he doesn’t want you to take the blows. He’s used to it by now, honestly.
- Gets this teasing smirk on his face whenever you try to understand stupid human things like dancing in the rain or fawning over Morgana in a maid outfit cats. Inside he’s smitten on how cute you look trying to understand the thought process on these things but he can’t help but draw out the teasing to see your reaction. He toned it down when he sees steam coming out of your nose and mouth during one time.
Tumblr media
| Ryuji Sakamoto |
- Doesn’t really believe in androids at all, believe it or not. He really doesn’t think that the world is advanced enough to create a working human-like machine with a complete A.I. and an algorithm to match up with human intelligence.
- What does make him wonder on why the hell you run faster than him. Not being egoistic but he doesn’t get that your legs seemed to turn into Sonic legs whenever you outrun Shadows in the Metaverse. One particular Shadow took off parts of your legs and Ryuji’s screams when he saw that made everyone deaf.
- Doesn’t understand crap about Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons or the history behind them. What he wants to know if you can shoot bullets with your shins or if you can make the Perfect™ ramen since everything you do is calculated and precise. Ryuji low-key thinks that knowing your an android makes his life so much better.
- Really doesn’t see the problem with you having no flesh and blood. It was within your choice to love him, not some programming error in your systems, so it didn’t make much of a difference to him if you were human. For him, having you reveal your true self to him makes him feel like he was on top of the world to have you as his lover.
- Power couple whether you like it or not. Ryuji would fight to protect you and you would fight to protect him. Nobody would even think to take you on when you smashed a bully right inside the shoot 'em-up game in the arcade. Ryuji still finds you hot whenever you show your strength in front of him.
- Finds it so cute to watch you understand his jokes. What did he mean by toaster? And why does he have to make you wear his hoodies while he hugs you? Your body wasn’t that hard to begin with. It was the optimal softness for hugging and cuddles! At this point, Ryuji could just die a happy man.
Tumblr media
| Yusuke Kitagawa |
- Yusuke is absolutely praising at your feet because you looked so flawless. There was not a single imperfection on you; no scar, no blemish, no asymmetry. You were literally the perfect muse that he thinks the gods must have made a mistake and gave a lowly artist like him someone like you.
- Which is all the more reason for you to deny every chance to get nude. No matter how deep your relationship was with him, you never wanted to show the metallic limbs, the plastic joints, the fake everything that he believed in. You couldn’t be a muse, not with this fragile body made from lies. Though a strong Shadow managed to show him your true form, managing to tear apart your legs as he watched. To say he was shocked speechless was an understatement.
- Whatever history you had with Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons or the Kirijo group, Yusuke would never pry. That was something you kept hidden from Yusuke for so long that he didn’t want to overstep any boundaries. When the time comes that you can tell him everything, he’ll be patient. Thinks that your android body is the most beautiful thing to ever grace the earth. He doesn’t even know why you would try to hide it from him. He would paint it all; the plastic joints, the grooves on your wrists, everything.
- Everybody finds you two eccentric as hell. With your stiff movements and monotone voice that could kill the funniest jokes and Yusuke being Yusuke, it wasn’t a surprise that people would talk behind your back. If only you installed the missile launchers Aigis recommended.
- Literally the worst person to explain human stupidity. He takes them as a form of art and forces you to do it. The rest of the Phantom Thieves had to cover an excuse when you played the grand piano while Yusuke pole danced on top of it at the underground mall.
Tumblr media
| Futaba Sakura |
- Believed in them this whole time. Probably thought you were an android from the get-go as well. Being Medjed definitely has it’s perks when you try and have a certain family’s secret database of android production.
- Screamed that she knew all along that you were an android when you shot bullets from your fingers. Throughout the car ride, she kept saying all the clues that she gathered that made you who you are all the while nearly making the rest of the team deaf.
- Knows about the Kirijo group and your history with them. Don’t worry, she won’t tell you that she knows it already. It’s completely up to you to tell her when your ready. In the meantime, she tries to pick your A.I. apart by hacking into you and “accidentally” uploaded a melty memes virus into you. Oh well, guess your blasting Despacito Earrape whenever a small inconvenience happens.
- Besides uploading memes into your A.I., she loves that there’s someone else she can relate to, technogically speaking. Japan didn’t have a lot of young people that knows just as much as she knows so she appreciates it when you delve into deep conversations about electronics to her mother to you.
- Literally IS the reason of human stupidity. She’s the mastermind behind everything that made you overheat your algorithms. You think Despacito Earrape was the worst? She has an entire memetrack dedicated for you to play when the best time arrives and nobody could stop her reign of terror. You know she had to do it to them.

and the wind sounds like the world’s sigh
persona 4 & 5 | shiho-centric, investigation team Near the end of May, Shiho transfers to a sleepy town called Inaba for a fresh start. However, Inaba isn’t the sleepy town her parents thought would be best for her— its on edge with unsolved mysteries, and Shiho finds that there’s a bit more behind what meets the eye regarding some of her classmates and a TV screen.
chapter 1: inhale | 2.4k | ao3
Maybe this is hell. It's a white ceiling, off-white walls, bright white lights, white bedsheets. It's the bland meals, kind but insincere conversations, background noise of the news. Sad, prolonged looks from Mom, regretful frowns from Dad, the overall lack of feeling from her legs. The monotone beep of the heart monitor and drip of the IV. Hell can't be dark and fiery and the screams of the damned-- it has to be this.
Ann is a light in this place. The blonde of her hair offsets the white entirety of the room, the radiance of her smile breaking the solemn air that's been stagnant. She can't always visit, but Shiho looks forward to the times she can. She's the inch of normalcy left in Shiho's life-- she tells her about things that have been going on in school, a cool photoshoot she was in, a dumb thing Ryuji was up to, a shiny A on a test that she only passed because Akira helped, a new restaurant the three of them went to-- she's glad, so glad that Ann hasn't let this change her, hasn't let the wobble of her lips when she looks towards Shiho's legs keep her from looking her in the eye and talking as if they weren't in a hospital. More often than not, Ann isn't there. She isn't there, and sometimes Shiho thinks it may have been better to land differently, breaking more than just her legs. She's confined to bed, confined to sleep and watching tv and staring at the wall. She's stuck, legs basically useless, and she has to sit through looks of pity from the doctor, her nurses, her physical therapist, her parents. Her skin crawls whenever her parents visit. They know what happened, but they don't know. They're so quiet when they visit, so sad, so pitying, and she has no idea what they're thinking. She hopes and hopes for the door to slide open whenever they're here, hopes the doctor does a checkup on vitals or the therapist takes her to learn how to use her legs again or Ann to come bounding in and dispel them. She's not lucky. They stay and they speak of things so mundane-- at least it's nice to talk with Ann, but with her parents it all feels awkward and forced and Shiho wishes she had the gut to tell them to stop, they don't understand, don't act like you understand. They aren't in the room the day Ann enters, eyes both bright and watery. Ann basically crashes in the seat next to her bed, grasps her hand so tight she's momently scared it'll snap, and tells her it's all over, he's in jail, he got what he deserved, he's gone. Shiho cries and Ann cries with her, and maybe, just maybe she'll be able to walk those wretched halls again and graduate side-by-side with Ann like they imagined and maybe she'll meet Ryuji and Akira and give them the biggest hug possible and hopefully hang out with them at Big Bang Burger or the Arcade. Her hopes soar, and she wishes she could stand so she could hug Ann and leave this awful room. Her parents walk in the next day, faces drawn in, and tell her we're going to move when you're released from the hospital. We're sorry, Shiho. Shiho doesn't cry. She just hopes her legs will stay broken, so she can still at least stay here and see Ann regularly.
Her legs ache the moment she steps off the train into the Yaso-Inaba Station. They've ached the moment she stepped on the train and throughout the whole ride. Shiho takes this as an ill omen. The car ride to the house is in a terse silence with occasional awkward conversations between her parents, similar to the train ride over. Inaba, her parents had told her, was a tiny rural town. A big difference from the metropolitan style of Tokyo. A good place for a fresh start, they said. Shiho can see between the lines and know they chose this place because nothing happens here. (She knows that they think if it's a peaceful place, there's less of a chance of her ending up in an ambulance midday and missing two months of her life. If it's peaceful, bad things won't happen. They won't.) It takes less than twenty minutes flat to drive to their house-- in Tokyo, on good days it would have taken twenty minutes to drive a mile. It's a small house, different from their even smaller apartment in Tokyo. They actually have a backyard. It's on the edge of Inaba and supposedly not too far from her new high school. Unpacking is quiet aside from the occasional 'put that in the kitchen' and 'can you help me carry this?' Thankfully it's cloudy outside, so it isn't too much of a chore. Most heavy things, like furniture, were delivered before hand, which cuts the labor. They apparently make enough noise for a neighbor to come out and greet them. Her mom ends up side-tracked talking to them, so she and her dad finish unpacking to avoid being dragged into the conversation. It's a single story house, small kitchen, small living room, two small rooms, two small bathrooms, and yet its still more spacious than their old apartment. Shiho claims the bedroom facing the backyard. Her dad helps bring in some boxes and offers to help set up furniture before Shiho shoos him off. Her room slowly comes together. She slowly puts things on the dresser, on the wall, in the closet, until it looks vaguely like her old room. It has all the same elements, but it doesn't register in her mind as her own yet. She goes about it in a detached sense, like her body is on autopilot. One year, Shiho thinks, this is my home for one year. She comes across her next uniform that her parents snuck in her boxes-- a black seifuku with a glaringly bright yellow ribbon and houndstooth patterned skirt. It's... something, to say the least. Not the worst uniform she's ever seen, but... well, it's definitely something. She guesses she can call it stylish for a school uniform. She lays it out on her bed, smoothing it out absently. There's no true blazer, so she can't exactly get away with just wearing the undershirt. She misses the plaid of Shujin, regardless of how ugly she thought it was at first. Her first day is... tomorrow, maybe? The day after? Her mom had told her, but it felt like fuzz in her ears. She doesn't want to think about school. Belatedly, she takes a picture to send it to Ann later. Ann was at a photoshoot right about now-- she couldn't exactly check her phone every now and then and respond to her. The lack of consistent buzzing from her phone made the whole unpacking process more quiet. Half-way through the next box, her dad reappears at the doorway, leaning in a casual way against the frame. He whistles in awe at the progress she's made, saying, "Wow, already this far? Sorry, sweetie, but you're gonna have to do the kitchen and living room at this pace." She rolls her eyes. "Sure thing. It'll probably be useless, though-- you'd probably reorganize it to your liking." He shrugs. "It's going to take weeks before your mother and I find an equilibrium in that kitchen. Ya close to a stopping point? I was kinda thinking bout getting dinner." She isn't, but the dust is starting to get to her. Besides-- this is might be the first time he's looked her in the eyes in a week. Maybe things are turning for the better. "Sure. I think I saw a take out place not too far away on the drive here." In a blocky motion, she pulls herself to her feet. Getting up to her feet was no longer easy. It was a struggle, even after so much physical therapy. She liked to think it was okay now. Yet-- her leg twists and twinges painfully, her breath catching in her throat as her world tilts. There's a flash of movement from the corner of her eyes in her dad's direction, but she manages to catch herself by slamming a stabilizing hand against the wall. Shiho swallows thickly, breathing slowly to calm the spike of her pulse at the sudden feeling of falling. She glances up warily. Her dad's hand is halfway towards her, as if to catch her if she didn't regain her footing, with the other braced against the door frame with white knuckles. There's a pause, a bit deafening, and her father retreats his hand and crams it in his pocket. A scowl sits on his face, the corner of his mouth twitching with unspoken words, and he quickly pulls on a grin that doesn't fit his face. "That was close," he laughs, a bit wheezily and with a tremor in the undertone. He shifts awkwardly, maybe debating to check if she's fine or to let her be. I wonder what went through his mind just now, Shiho thinks, throat tight, did he see my leg breaking? or them shattered, beneath hospital blankets? or maybe-- "Ah, you may have to start wearing your brace more often, kiddo. It's kinda hilly and rainy around here." Grimacing, she nods. "I'll put it on before we go." It's on her dresser, where she threw it after taking it off earlier to give her leg some air. She hates that thing-- it's hot and sweaty and itchy and it always seems to get disgusting in less than an hour. It's going to be miserable to wear it in the rain-- it'll become soggy and she'll have to deal with the spongey feel of it the whole school day. A moment passes. Her dad still lingers by the doorframe. He clears his throat and scratches his arm absently. "Are you going to be alright?" he asks, looking anywhere but her. "Yeah," she says quickly, and back tracks. "Yeah. I-- I'm alright. Just a little sore from the ride." Her legs are never not sore nowadays. Not that they need to know. There's a solemn look on his face. Shiho grits her teeth and thinks please don't. He nods-- she can't tell if he's satisfied with that answer or not-- and leaves. For a second, she just stands and breathes. Everyone around her has been walking on eggshells since she landed in the hospital, and she's so tired of it. She wonders how long it'll take until it's all gone and done for. Her mom trusts them with dinner, saying that she's in unpacking mode and doesn't want to drop out of it now that she's in it. The car ride is quiet for the most part, with the two of them peering out the window to spy a places to eat or figure out what something is. There's plenty of tiny mom-and-pop stores just a walk away from their house, and the Main Street isn't too far of a walking trip, either. Shiho has a feeling she'll become familiar with these streets in due time. The sun had set enough to the point where it was fairly dark out with the overcast. The clouds aren't lit up orange with city lights, and there's an underwhelming amount of obnoxiously neon signs on these streets. Some store signs aren't even lit up-- just how rural is this place? Oh!-- then, maybe when the nights aren't cloudy, she'll be able to see the stars? They end up parking at a brightly-lit grocery store and wander to a nearby takeout restaurant. The air's thick with rain soon to come and is quite chilly for spring-- the warmth of the restaurant they slip into is more than welcoming. It's a small place-- a few tables are set up inside with a couple tables occupied. Shiho very pointedly avoids their wandering curious stares. Three boxes of noodles ends up being the price of a single nice meal in Tokyo. And even better, from what she could peer at in the restaurant, they're possibly the best looking noodles she's seen in years. Not grossly greasy, or dangerously overcooked. The chunks of beef and chicken shine with just the right amount of sauce, and the vegetables don't seem still half frozen from the freezer. Sweet n Sour, General Tso's, Teriyaki-- the smell makes her want to crack a box open in the car, and from the pace her dad walks at, he wants to, too. Ah. The lack of city lights also makes the lights of a police car much more stark. Both her and her dad falter-- they aren't near their car, were they? God, what if the police around here were crazy strict about parking between the lines. Her dad didn't have a great streak with being completely center, and the parking lot was empty, so he didn't exactly try-- what luck would that be, not even six hours in Inaba and they've already gotten a ticket. But as they step closer, the car is parked in a side street close to the market. Her dad's shoulders drop in relief when there's no-one  by his car. There are some standing outside the police cars, like there's something going on. One glances up and spots the two of them ogling. He smiles disarmingly at them, nods to his companion, and approaches. "Good evening," the officer says kindly. His hands are neatly tucked into his jacket pockets, posture open yet with a tension along his shoulders. "Sorry to bother the two of you this evening. I'm required to ask anyone I see, though— have you seen any suspicious activity nearby, recently? Biker gangs, suspicious figures, anything?" "No," her dad says curtly, his eyes drifting in the direction of the side street with a confused frown. Biker gangs? Suspicious people? Shiho thinks absently, shifting the bag on her arm anxiously, wait, didn't they say— didn't they say nothing happens around here? "We moved in today. Is something wrong?" A dawning realization crosses the officer's face. "Ah. No, not-- not necessarily. We're just keeping watch." The officer seems to mentally juggle what he should say. He ends up frowning and says, "Well... a first-year at Yasogami by the name of Tatsumi Kanji went missing recently, last seen by his mother's textile shop. He's possibly involved with activity in biker gangs. If you hear anything about him or see any activity, be sure to report it, yeah?" The smile her dad gives the officer is tense. "Understood. Thank you." Dinner isn't going to be as pleasant as she thought it would be.

best friends to lovers hcs for ryuji? :) maybe as ryuji realizes his feelings, he gets progressively more flustered and fidgety around s/o? you can do whatever you want with this tho, i really enjoy your work ! tysm and sending love 💕💕💕
Best friends to lovers!!! Anon, this is my favourite trope. It’s just... So good??
I like writing things like this. :)
- Nexus.
Skull { Ryuji Sakamoto }
✧ At first, Ryuji does not seem to realise that he has fallen for them. Everything seems to be the same as normal. He notices through physical contact: His heart pounding whenever they brush hands while walking near each other; The casual way they high five after celebrating a victory. Becoming aware of it merely makes him want more of it. If they ever were to point out that something seemed different about him, he would turn away & vehemently deny that anything had changed.
✧ He keeps trying to find excuses for the two of them to hang out alone. Exams are coming up & they are very good at certain subjects? Study session! Found some tickets to go to the Planetarium? They were the first person that he thought of because Ann was busy. Although he never strictly points out that it is a date, it can be pretty easy to tell from the nervous glances he gives.
✧ The other Phantom Thieves catch on & he gets even more embarrassed. All of them { save Makoto } tease him about his little crush. They encourage Ryuji to confess even if he does not want to. Ann in particular is super insistent because she wants her friend to be happy. Having an entire crew of people become your wingman is not the greatest idea.
✧ Honestly, he does not confess at first because he is scared of losing the close friendship they already have. They mean the world to him & if Ryuji was to ruin it by confessing & making things awkward, he would feel so bad!! So he asks the others if they can help him figure out if they reciprocate these feelings, which leads to Ann & Makoto quizzing them about how they feel with him.
✧ Eventually, he decides to spit it out because the feelings are only going to get worse. Taking them to the local arcade is his first option & he seems to not be enjoying it as much. When asked what was wrong, Ryuji pulls them outside, pouring his heart out to them.
✧ If they tell him that they feel the same way, he will smile like a puppy. Pulling them into a hug that seems all too natural, Ryuji asks very gently if he can kiss them. Even if people stare, he does not seem to care about the opinions. The person he has been pining for such a long time feels the same way & he does lot care what anyone else thinks.
✧ However if they do not feel the same way, he is absolutely heartbroken. It took so long for him to work up the courage to confess & everyone had been rooting him on. Looking rather disappointed, Ryuji tells them that he understands & he takes the first opportunity he can to leave. Losing these feelings will take a long time so he ends up avoiding them for a while so that he can be upset about the rejection.

Family and Fate
The following is a written story comprised of a bunch of HCs and other ideas I have for Ren. They’d be too disjointed to put in one of my HC posts so I’m gonna share them like this. Contains late game spoilers for Persona 5, and Persona 4
The rustling of the Tokyo Subway trains echo within each car. It’s only a few days before Shido confesses his crimes to all of Japan, and the dead man walking...Ren Amamiya is lulled into a sense of comfort to the sounds of the city. What was once such a foreign concept to the country born teen, had now been welcomed into his heart.
The bag he was holding on his lap quakes, as two furry black ears poke out, followed by a whole head of his cat companion Morgana. “You’re awfully calm about all this, Ren. Normally you’d  be at least somewhat nervous after completing a heist...but you seem to be much more quiet than nervous.” The cat says.
Ren’s response is to simply tighten the grey hood keeping himself masked. Morgana bats at one of the strings in annoyance. “Not gonna talk? We’re friends, Ren, it’s fine.” The Phantom simply huffs and goes back into a deep thought process.
Soon the teen and cat arrive back at Leblanc, and Ren immediately heads to bed, no prodding from Morgana at all. This...concerns the cat, so while Ren sleeps, he slips out of the cafe and to the home of one person he knows would share his concern.
“Geez, so much signage for just one rule about no pets. Well, knowing Ryuji he’s probably up late playing video games again. So if I make a loud sound...then...” He paces through the back alleyway until he finds a discarded can, and with one swift kick, manages to make the can crash into the wall of the apartment complex right where Ryuji’s place is.
Almost like clockwork, the bleached blond comes running out of his home, looking ready to defend it from any would be thieves. “Okay who is it this time?!”
“Down here, moron.”
“Wha-Mona? You came here by yourself? ...well I mean he can’t really show his face right now but still.” Ryuji gives a sigh. “Look, you need to be careful, come too far on the property and there’s no telling what’ll happen.”
Morgana scratches his left ear. “Well, is there somewhere we can go talk? It’s important...”
Ryuji leads Mona to a small park not too far away from the complex. It’s rundown, and not very pleasing to the eye. They sit on the only bench that looks safe enough.
“What’s so important that you just had to only get me?”
Morgana’s eyes lower in worry. “Ren...has become less talkative ever since we finished Shido’s Palace.”
Ryuji pets him a bit, nodding slowly “So, is it because of the traumatic shit he had to deal with surrounding his arrest? That’d scar any teen...”
That’s what I thought at first...but, I’m starting to think that this problem isn’t only about that...Ryuji? Has Ren ever talked about his home life to you?”
Ryuji responds by shaking his head. “No, he never has. Any mention of his hometown is pretty much anything but his folks. I try not to pry though, for all we know...he could have had a rocky relationship with them.”
Morgana nods. “Maybe we should talk to Futaba.”
“Why? ...wait if you’re gonna use the fact she tapped into Ren’s phone to find out some shit then I’m out. Like I just got through saying, if he doesn’t want to tell us then that’s fine.”
“What?! Of course not!” The cat puffs up in offense. “I was just going to ask her if she knows something we don’t. She’s like a little sister to Ren after all...”
That morning, Ryuji and Morgana meet with Futaba in her room. With a loud yawn from the bleached teen, he takes a seat on her bed. “Okay, so we need to ask you a few things, Futaba.”
A small laugh comes from the young hacker. “Just name the person and I’ll dig up anything! So who’s information do you need?”
Morgana stretches on Futaba’s pillow. “We want to know if you have any information on our leader’s life back in his hometown.”
Futaba adjusts her glasses and types something on her computer. “Sure! He had pretty good grades at his old high school, he was in the student council there even. But...records show he stopped coming to meetings after a while, which...correlates alongside with his grades slipping as well. And....” She suddenly stops. “Oh would you look at that, the data is corrupted! haha! Can’t show you more than that.”
Ryuji gives her a hard look and sighs. “I’m no tech wiz, but I can tell that info ain't screwed up.”
Futaba nods slowly “I know...but I just don’t know if I should read the rest...Ren might get mad.”
Morgana jumps on the desk. “Well...he’s not going to tell us, I’ve tried...”
There’s a knock on Futaba’s door. “Futaba? Ren’s here. Seems he needs to talk to you about something.” Sojirp calls out from the other side.
“Shit! What’re we gonna do? Ren’ll see we have a lot of his personal info pulled up and-”
The bedroom door suddenly opens, and Ren steps in. “And? I heard what you guys were saying.”
All three hang their heads low in apology, but Ren just gives them a sigh as a response. “You three really want to know that badly? ...I’ll tell you then.”
Ryuji shakes his head, placing a hand on his best friend’s shoulder “Don’t feel forced to tell us, man. I get how hard it is to talk about personal issues.”
“But, maybe it’d best I at least tell you three...just to get it off my chest.” Ren smiles sadly.
He closes the door and leans up against it. “Where to begin...my folks always had high hopes for me. At first, it was nothing more than helping me develop good study habits and whatnot, but....then a few years ago...the Inaba Murders happened. My hometown was all over the news...and my parents worked for the town’s police department, so they were always getting inside information about the case. And they were always out late because of that... One night when I was home alone, the doorbell rang...I answered it, but then headlights from a nearby car flashed and scared whoever it was away..”
He takes a deep breath. “We found out later on, that the person who came to the door could have possibly been the murderer...my parents became super protective after that was brought to light. They started urging me to come home earlier and earlier, even after the culprit was long arrested. They started hovering over every thing I did. If I stayed too late at a friends place, they’d call non stop. If I went to the nearby city to see a movie, they’d follow...it started affecting my social life a lot.”
Ren looks down. “Most of the friends I had started to avoid me, and rumors of me somehow having a curse that may have caused the murders in the first place, hence why I was spared.... Not many took them seriously at first, of course. But it made it hard for me to keep any sort of relationship. To try to combat the constant swing of hovering and loneliness, I started to spend all my time on schoolwork, getting pretty high in my class by my first year. It even earned me a spot on the student council...people were starting to talk to me like a normal person again. And my folks...well they were proud of me.”
A saddened laugh escapes Ren. “Sounds like a happy ending right? Well...right as I was slowly finishing up my first year, there was a car crash. A deadly one. I happened to be walking home from the local Junes, really close to the crash site. Cameras had it recorded and well, the cursed rumors started up again. I was forced to leave the student council due to the rumors becoming the only thing we were asked about. My grades slipped...as I felt that...maybe I really was the cause of the deaths of those people. Maybe...I really was cursed.”
Ren’s hands curl into fists as he takes a deep breath. “I wanted to have a normal life so desperately. But I found myself getting into arguments with my parents and even former friends, all due to the stress caused by the rumors. My folks, once again tried to be protective of me. They forbid me from going out at night, saying that it’s the only way to avoid trouble. I never listened however. I mean, what would it matter anyway? It’s not like it was going to automatically make the harmful rumors go away...”
Ryuji nods as Ren keeps talking. “They...weren’t home the day of my arrest. I had just gotten done at the arcade in the city over and I was walking home alone. That’s...when I saw Shido assaulting that woman. I had wanted, for a goddamn while to actually be helpful, to save someone. To..make sure no one had to go through anything like me...then maybe people could see I wasn’t cursed. Or bad...just normal. Just someone needing aid. Instead...of course. I was framed and arrested. The days leading up to my departure to Tokyo were filled with the worst rumors yet. Any remaining friends I had....abandoned me. They even started rumors of their own. And my parents? They sided with Shido...he had them under his thumb like any other policeman. But, they were probably under the impression that I would be safe if they allowed their own son’s reputation to be ruined, rather than stepping up for me..they never even said goodbye to me when I left. No texts, no phone calls...nothing. Even now, I hear nothing from them..”
Ren moves to sit down on the bed, as he puts his head into his hands. “I never wanted any of this to happen...I sometimes miss how often they checked on me. At least then it was obvious that they cared for me...but now...it’s like I don’t even have a family.” He trembles, almost on the verge of tears. “I’ve got all these new expectations placed on me...as a leader...as the Wild Card...but sometimes I feel like I’m back there again. Mishima leaking my record and those rumors starting up at Shujin? It put me back into that dark place. If I never awakened to a Persona, I don’t think I would have survived the year...I was alone...still am...”
Ryuji places a hand on Ren’s shoulder. “Alone? That’s an ‘effing stupid thing to say.”
Ren stares up at his best friend with a confused look on his face. “Wh-What do you mean Ryu-”
“So a lot of bad shit happened around you...people avoided you. Spread rumors and blamed you... But look what you have now. A group of misfits, who’re more than happy to be your new family. We won’t abandon you, I swear to my bones.”
Futaba stands up and nods. “Me too! You’re not cursed Ren! I promise!”
Ren laughs. “But...I couldn’t even save Akechi. Another person got hurt...lost their life....because I got involved and...”
Futaba hugs Ren tight wrapping her arms around him to the best of her ability. “Please Ren...don’t blame yourself...you’re not cursed! I promise you that.”
Morgana curls up in Ren’s lap as he starts to slowly pet him. “You guys...thank you. Maybe you’re right. Maybe, I can make things better for others. So they don’t need to be in constant fear like I was. I shouldn’t let the past affect my present.”
Futaba giggles. “Yeah! And it’ll all start with Shido confessing!”
“Yeah...thanks guys, for everything.”
