A/N: I'm usually more of a no outbreak AU Joel but I loved this idea very much anon 🥺
You met Joel pretty much like everyone else did in Jackson: by knowing he was Tommy's older brother and listening to several stories of his terrible, ruthless past
Which didn't bother you at all because as you lived in the fucking apocalipse not many things fazed you and you knew surviving took a lot of questionable actions and sometimes people just had to do what they had to do
He very much kept to himself, contrary to the young girl that always tagged along with him, who didn't shut up one second and always seemed impressed or excited about something
You couldn't lie, you thought that was very sweet
But you didn't understand how father and daughter could be so different: she was a chatty box and he mostly just groaned and grunted or hummed in approval
And then you learned they weren't father and daughter, because the two of them were very quick to state that, though it was also sweet that everyone saw they were father and daughter regardless of what they said
Ellie - you'd learned her name - was very sweet despite her sailor's mouth and you two often got along once you began teaching her how to bake; it was just a simple, ordinary story, you lived on the same street in Jackson and one day she happened to pass by right when you were baking cookies and the smell of it just drove Ellie insane
To the point she had no shame in knocking on your door and asking you what was that you were making and then she tried your cookies and she was doomed, because from that moment on she would do anything she could in order to eat some of those delicious treats
She told you she was tired of eating Joel's shitty food and you sort of scolded her because you knew he did his best, but if she didn't like it she could learn how to make her own
Ellie told you she didn't exactly know how, so you offered to help her and teach her how to cook and bake as much as she would like
Joel didn't resist it because he knew she would be busy and safe during the day and also because he would be the one testing her new food and recipe, which he didn't oppose
Your official meeting was when Ellie had already had a few classes and she asked if she could use your kitchen to make dinner and invite Joel to see if he would actually approve it or not
But in fact it was a lie, she had just noticed how he stared at you and how you blushed whenever he talked to you, so she figured if you two were too dumb to get to know each other, she would have to give you two some help
But it worked, after having dinner at yours, Joel enjoyed it so much he kept making up excuses to come back and before you could realize, you and Joel were in a relationship together
Things were getting more and more serious and you loved him more and more each passing day, and the same for Joel, for a man who thought he wouldn't be able to love again, there he was: madly in love with you
So it was just logical you would move in together
And while Joel was out working around down or in patrols, you were very often taking care of the house
You and Ellie became baking buddies and every single day there's something fresh and sweet at home for your handsome boyfriend
You and Ellie got so good at it you started baking goodies to sell in the neighborhood or exchange for favors and products, making it a nice income for the two of you
Joel finally had a family and a home in a world he first thought it wasn't worth living in, he was still a deeply scarred man and he would probably never get rid of his demons but you and the little family you formed made everything better for him 💗

Seven-Sentence-Inspiration-WIP-something Day!

I decided to shove it all in one post lol. Here is a much-longer-than-seven-sentences bit of my @tarlosweeklyprompts Back to School prompt fill! For this fic, since we already have so many fics of Tarlos attending UT (which makes sense!) I decided to send them to my own alma mater instead :)
He can open a damned door and face what’s on the other side.
He doesn’t get the chance to, however, because as soon as his nerve is bucked up, the door swings open to reveal an absolutely devastating scene: TK, rumpled and sleepy, dressed in only a pair of gray sweatpants and carrying his shower caddy. His hair is adorably mussed and his eyes are tired but bright.
The worst part? They brighten even further when he sees Carlos standing on the threshold. All of a sudden, he becomes so animated that Carlos would have thought this was 8pm and not 8am.
“Carlos! Hey! I didn’t hear you come in last night, did you pull an all-nighter? You know it was a Friday, right? You don’t have anything due today. Did you lose track of time again, like that one time during midterms where you thought it was Wednesday but it was actually Friday because you’d gone so long on only caffeine and snickers that you forgot to charge your phone? I keep telling you you’re gonna run yourself ragged, man! You gotta have some fun once in a while. Are you studying today? Oh shit, you have that chem test on Tuesday. Are you going to the Library? Cuz I gotta stop by the SUB to pick up a book so, like, I could walk with you if you want?”
Carlos can physically see him clamp his jaw shut, and it looks like it takes effort. TK is chatty on a good day, but Carlos has never seen him filibuster for that long on inane chatter on only one breath. Carlos could swear TK is blushing, but it must be a trick of the light.
It takes him a moment to find his voice. “Uh, yeah. Yeah, I’m studying today, just came to get my chem book. And yeah, I was, uh, I was in the library all night.” He adds a shrug that he hopes doesn’t look forced or calculated, and tries to smile. He’s not sure how it turns out.
TK, for his part, almost visibly relaxes. Huh.

Akaza Headcanons
So, I see the Akaza x Reader tag is pretty lacking of content, and I got tired of checking everyday tumblr hoping for new stuff, so I decided to give my contribute.
I don't know what to call this post, there will be some headcanons, but also basically canon facts about Akaza's character, and a bit a scenarios...it's also my first time writing this kind of format so bear with me.
It will be Fem oriented.
I will be cheesy and I will be weird 'cause that's how I am.
If you see some ideas from this post that you like and you wanna use it for your story/post/headcanon, feel free to do it, no need to ask!

The Character
Let's talk about the character per se. I'll start with a favorite of mine: Akaza is a talker.
Proof:
We've seen him being chatty during fights, talking is in fact a way for Akaza to tantalize his opponent.
Buuuuuuuuut, not many knows that in the Kimetsu no Yaiba Fanbook Two there are two paragraphs that confirm that Akaza just really likes to talk with people. Here's the parts:
So yeah, I just like the idea of an Akaza who can't shut his mouth for his own good.
Also, Akaza is warm. Demon aren't ded, they're mutations, blood flows through their vein. I just think Akaza would be warm, and since in his free time he's doing workout, that would, of course, make him even warmer.
He'd probably do anything to repel any kind of memories from when he was human.
His memories from when he was human reminds him of his weakness, and the promises he could not keep.
Poor Baby™
About Akaza's role in the Upper Moons, which is quite peculiar. Doma says this:
I think this means that Muzan was okay with him getting power his own way, Akaza didn't need to get stronger, and that's because he was deployed to gain intel, just like the informations about the Blue Spider Lily.
Of course, this is closely connected with Akaza's chattiness.
Next: I don't think he knows how to write or read on his own. I don't think someone teached him.
His master teached him how to fight when he was human, but I don't think he received any kind of education.
Now, we don't know how demon's reminiscence of Muzan's memories work, but we know they can share their master's memories.
So I have this headcanon that Akaza can write and read, using Muzan knowledge.
This still means that he has no instruction on how use brush and ink to write letters, so he has a really bad and messy calligraphy.
And maybe he also struggles with some compicated words. Like, he knows how to pronunce them, but he has no idea on the meaning?
Dunnou, I just think it's pretty and funny :3c
Also, following the same idea, he knows how to speak english. I bet Muzan knows how to, so Akaza know's how to. I rest my case.
Also, I'm sure Akaza and Hakuji may share some character traits, but their personality is quite the opposite.
I'd like you to take a look at this baby

I just can't imagine Hakuji aka cinnamonroll doing that-
Also, I have this two different ideas about the type of people he eats. Either, he eats the strong men he defeats in battle or he doesn't, he just kills them and leave their body intact as a sign of respect. Maybe he goes for people who, for him, don't really deserve to live.
I'd like to point out that Akaza most likeky piked up his outfit. Like, the bottom is clearly form a uniform, but where is that top coming from? Or maybe someone picked it for him? Like...to match his hair color...I'll stop now, sorry-
This last thing will be foregone, but I believe Akaza's weight and hight are perfect for what he does and what he is. Not too tall, not too heavy. Like, he just has the right ingredients to be a perfect fighter.

ivy: what are your ‘tells’ for your emotions and moods? how can someone tell you’re happy, annoyed, upset or tired?
oh god. difficult question right off the bat. head in hands. so. i'd say maybe the level of silence/partecipation in the conversation? when i'm happy i'm very chatty. while every "negative" emotion makes me more and more quiet and closed off. when i'm genuinely annoyed/angry i stop speaking at all (not on purpose). that's the biggest tell i can think of, especially bc i try to hide what im feeling most of the times but i cant really control that part
chamomile: what kind of things do you like receiving as gifts?
i like gifts that show that the person knows me and actually thought of me when choosing it. i dont really care about anything else. many years ago i was on a teen wolf kick and i guess i talked about it a lot and at christmas my family got me two pillowcases with images of the cast/characters, out of nowhere. objectively really awful pillowcases, terrible quality both of image and of fabric, i could not sleep on any of them and i didnt have an extra pillow to put them on. yet when i opened them i was so overwhelmed with love i nearly cried and even now if i think about them i get emotional. could be my favorite gift ever. this to say that it literally doesnt matter anything but the thought. when you people send me or tag me in posts that made you think of me, those are actually treasured gifts to me. it's that simple, really.
aloe vera: what’s something (mundane) you really want to experience in life?
oh so so many things but i guess. a breakup. this sounds so stupid and insane even to me writing it and it's something so common and there are million songs about that heartbreak and it's not that it sounds like a fun time or anything. but still. i want the good and the bad. and i guess it's really about what it entails: feelings
