Moon’s Eyes in the Vanny Ending of Help Wanted 2 + Other Thoughts
I’ve been watching Dawko’s playthrough of Help Wanted 2 lately, as I don’t have a VR headset, so I can’t actually play the game myself.  Today, I watched his video showing the Vanny ending after you get the Bonnie mask in Princess Quest 4, and I noticed an odd detail that I haven’t heard anyone else bring up yet.  When you get the Vanny ending normally, Moon has black pupils.  But if you get the ending after getting the Bonnie mask, Moon has red eyes like he usually does in Security Breach.  That’s gotta mean something, right?
I’m still conflicted on what this ending means.  It seems pretty straightforward on the surface, that Vanny is crushing Glitchtrap and freeing herself from his control.  (Glitchtrap even reacts in fear when she does this.)  But then other people theorize that this is Vanny taking Glitchtrap’s place as the new villain, I think?  I must admit I’m a bit confused, as I thought Vanny was just Vanessa brainwashed by Glitchtrap.  So Vanessa getting revenge on Glitchtrap makes more sense than her wanting to get rid of him and continue on his work without him.
Yeah, clearly I’m a bit confused by FNAF lore (aren’t we all), so I’m sure I have some details wrong.  I don’t totally even understand Glitchtrap’s goals or, by extension, Vanny’s.  I thought Vanny probably killed 9 kids before the events of Security Breach.  What was her motivation for this?  Is she killing kids just because Glitchtrap wants her to?  Is there a greater purpose?  I know that Sister Location had all this confusing lore relating to Afton creating the Funtime animatronics to kill kids because of his weird experiments with remnant or whatever.  Because he wanted to revive his dead son.  (Honestly, I really struggle to follow the lore anymore.  When I’m sitting through another FNAF-related episode of Game Theory, I’m typically so confused.)
If Vanny is gathering kids for the same purpose that the Funtimes were basically built for, why would she wish to continue on with Afton’s work independently of him?  Then again, I know that the theory now is that Glitchtrap is related to the Mimic.  Which just makes things even more confusing.  So…what’s the Mimic’s goals, then?  Other people theorize that Vanny’s goal is to get Glitchtrap an actual body.  Again, what would her goal be with Glitchtrap gone?
Anyway, I’m very torn on which theory is more correct concerning the Vanny ending of HW2.  I’d really like it to be representing Vanny freeing herself from Glitchtrap’s control and getting vengeance on him and that this is part of Vanessa’s plan to help Gregory get rid of the Mimic.  But that doesn’t mean my favorite interpretation is right.  Though I do believe it’s more straightforward and less confusing.
As for Moon’s role in all this, if my preferred theory is correct, does that mean that Moon has joined Vanessa and Gregory in defeating the Mimic?  Why?  Does Moon’s presence in the claw machine even directly correlate to Moon or is he representative of something else?  (One theory said Moon represented Gregory, though I’m unsure about this.)  If any animatronic is working with Gregory and Vanessa, I’d think it would be Freddy.
On the other hand, if Vanny is simply destroying Glitchtrap and taking on the role of the new main villain, why is Moon helping her?  Is he doing so willingly or because he’s infected by a virus like many of us assumed?  Because if he’s not infected and is serving Vanny willingly, what is his motivation?  I see no reason why he’d want to willingly join this evil woman’s cause?
Again, there must be some important reason why Moon’s eyes are red in one ending and have black pupils in another.  Red pupils implies a virus and black implies no virus.  But aside from changing whether or not Moon is a willing participant in all this, I’m unsure what other significance there could be.
It is interesting that we seem to have confirmation that Moon has a special role to play in Vanny’s plans.  Many of us, including myself, believed this.  There was always something off about him.  Based on that note about a kid being unable to sleep in the dark after spending time in the Daycare, clearly Moon (and possibly Sun, as the kid wet the bed with the lights on) was scaring kids before the events of SB, even though I don’t think the Glamrocks got infected by the virus until shortly before the game’s events.
Furthermore, even Freddy seemed afraid of Moon.  While he had a hard time accepting that his friends would attack Gregory, he had a much easier time believing that Moon was dangerous, stating that Moon WILL find Gregory if he’s not careful.  He also referred to Moon as “it”, which I thought was odd.  Even in Ruin, Sun/Moon are called “it” rather than “he”.  (HW2 is the first time I can remember either of them being referred to as “he”, and that’s by Sun himself when he says about Moon, “He’ll wake up”.)
Anyway, obviously Moon was acting weird before the events of SB.  I know the books say that Sun and Moon were originally a theater robot, with Moon being the villain of their show, and Moon was never intended to be a part of the Daycare at all.  But…
1: With all the merch and other artwork for both of them (including large statues outside the Daycare entrance and inside the gift shop), it seems Moon was definitely intended to be taking care of the kids alongside Sun.
2: Cassie’s comments about the Sun and Moon plushies in Ruin imply she had fun playing with Sun during the day and found Moon to be a comforting presence at night.
3: It would just be odd if Moon was not reprogrammed from his villain role at all.  I don’t believe that part of his act was telling kids to go to sleep.
What all this means is…Moon clearly was meant to work in the Daycare and oversee naptime, and Sun and Moon were once good at their jobs or else Cassie wouldn’t have had fond memories of them.  So something clearly happened to cause them to start scaring the kids.  And Freddy, apparently.
I must admit that I’m rather biased against the idea of Moon being evil and serving Vanny willingly.  But I also think there’s a lot of evidence to support my idea that Moon didn’t voluntarily assist an evil woman in killing kids.  He seems to have had a more gentle nature when Cassie knew him, and again, there is zero motivation for this robot to help this murdering rabbit lady or whatever the heck Glitchtrap is in whatever the heck their evil plan is.
That’s why my theory was always that Moon was infected by the virus earlier than the other robots.  Maybe as a test subject.  And he was probably chosen because his weird behavior would be less noticeable than that of the Glamrocks, who are the main stars of the Pizzaplex.
Mini Generator Rant: I mean, clearly the staff did notice an issue and put in those generators.  Which are horribly ineffective because the lights still go out every hour.  On the hour.  Even in the Daycare.  Even after you turn the generators on.  And honestly, what’s the point of generators that don’t start up automatically when the lights go out?  What, so the kids are responsible for crawling into the play structures and turning them on?  All five of them?  Which are required to light up one room?  It’s just bonkers, I say!  Bonkers!
Some final thoughts…I have mixed feelings about the implications of HW2’s endings.  While many of us already believed that Moon was working with Vanny, I guess I’m not the biggest fan of having direct confirmation.  I kinda preferred it when this was left open to interpretation.  That’s how I prefer most of my mysteries, really.  I also just hope they don’t confirm that Moon is actually evil.  Because I like Moon, and I’d prefer it if his evil side is due to a virus and not because that’s his true nature.  Plus, I just dislike Vanny, so I’m, naturally, not too fond about one of my favorite characters teaming up willingly with one of my least favorites.
Anyway, those are my lengthy thoughts.  Long story short, I’m just curious if anyone else noticed the difference in Moon’s eyes in these two endings and what that might mean.

Here's how I'd ideally depict William Afton.
As William. On the surface, William is like Willy Wonka. A friend to children, behind closed doors. He's Freddy Krueger. If we're talking about the Mad scientist remnant obsessed aspect, I'd say he's like G-Man from Half-Life.
As Spring Bonnie/Springtrap. Spring Bonnie, he's basically Pennywise. A friendly disguise hiding the monster underneath. As Springtrap He's like Michael Myers, The Terminator and Freddy rolled into one
As Glitchtrap, he is an eldritch terror seeking to infect as many people as possible to spread his agony
As Burntrap, he is Fazbear's curse and the literal skeleton in their closet and the monster they so desperately tried to keep hidden, but now the monster is free and Afton is back.

How in your view has Mimic=Afton been debunked? If anything, I say it confirms it, given that it’s Glitchtrap who infects the STAFF bot that gives Cassie the mask. And this is coming from someone who has a BIG problem with the theory.
So, imo, there is no way for Burntrap to be the Mimic. The endoskeletons are completely different, their methods of attack are completely different, and Burntrap has springlock parts, burnt Spring Bonnie casing, and a human corpse. As such, Burntrap is William, just repaired.
In Help Wanted 2, we see Glitchtrap come out of a charging pod. Not exactly like Burntrap, but it has the similarity. So, with Glitchtrap in the position of Burntrap, to me that says that Burntrap/William is also Glitchtrap.
If it is Glitchtrap who's controlling the Maskbot, I don't see why that would change anything. Vanny and VANNI are already pretty dang similar, and the robot has rabbit ears. The Mimic can hack the mask yeah, but that doesn't mean that Burntrap and Glitchtrap are just the Mimic. Technically speaking, Glitchtrap is probably just both William and Mimic as you need both the green rabbit plush and the VANNI mask to get the key to the locked door in Princess Quest 3, implied Glitchtrap has two parts that need to be addressed: William AND the Mimic.
Throw in Mimic canonically not copying William in Tales well after the events of FNAF VR, nor expressing any inclination of wanting to do so when we see its POV in the epilogues, and I think it's pretty safe to say William is involved.
You're allowed to believe differently of course, but I definitely think it points to Glitchtrap having William as the main force in control

Hey, whatever happened to that pinned post you had with all your FNAF AUs on it?
It's still up, just not pinned anymore cause I thought it was too long for a pinned post- my current one gets the idea across just fine lmao
You can still find it by just searching 'intro post' on my blog, but I'll put the AU section under the cut if you don't wanna go looking for it
-Year 1/#Fnaf Year 1 AU: First year of Glitchtrap/Mimic1 infecting the Pizzaplex, centered around the characters reactions to everything and character dynamics, like Cassie and Dr. Rabbits dynamic and Vanessa getting used to her new job as Head of Security. Same year as Tonys death, and the most interesting new cast member to note would be Lucia; now 21 and part of the Mega Pizzaplex' security team, investigating the strange disappearances that she believes to be connected to the Mimic.
-Welcome to Balloon Circus/#Fnaf Welcome to Balloon Circus: 3 star fam return to the Pizzaplex lot 3 years after Ruin to fix M.X.E.S after they suddenly shut down, and upon arrival, instead find a giant circus. There's a big post with a poster and TONS of information here if you're interested!!
-Quests Continuation/#Fnaf Quest Continuation: Takes place after the Disassembled Ending. Gregory quite literally stumbles into another Pizzaplex unlike the one from SB, now much smaller with uncorrupted animatronics, Bonnie as one of the band members, and no security guards out to get him. He hesitantly accepts the band members help in finding his old friend, Cassie, so he can be reunited with her and not keep living on the streets, because after finding him for the first time, the band members are VERY adamant that he cannot go back to that living situation, considering the terrible condition he was in.
-Endpoint Security/#Fnaf Endpoint Security: Security Breach swap AU featuring newly uninfected Vanessa as the protagonist and a very much so still infected Dr. Rabbit as the antagonist. Vanessa, barely even remembering having this job and now locked in the Pizzaplex until 6am without any of her keycards or tools, is now accompanied by Dr. Rabbit talking to her through her new fazwatch as she goes on a scavenger hunt he set up just for her to find her keycards and tools to help her survive the night until the doors open, though Dr. Rabbit makes it clear that 6am won't be the end of this shift for her if all goes according to plan.
-Back at it again/#Fnaf Back at it Again: Post PQ ending. Vanessa keeps her job as head of security and Gregory takes up an internship as a security guard, position secured by Vanessa’s recommendation, and the two use their job ranks to continue looking into the mysteries of the Pizzaplex and put Mimic to an end once and for all, aaas well as steal whatever they need to take care of Freddy back home when no one's looking.
-Painted Tears Trilogy/#Fnaf Painted Tears Trilogy: Silver Eyes Trilogy inspired AU centering around the MCI looking into the disappearances of Charlotte Emily and Evan Afton, two of their now missing childhood best friends.

Spring Bonnie and Gregory AU:
While the rest of the previous animatronics have merged into a giant wire-filled robotic beast... Springtrap is the only one that escaped from the merging... After being used by a child killer and the children's spirits as well as the Classic Animatronics blaming him for the kids' deaths, then losing his only friends (Fredbear + Puppet), Springtrap became a bitter grumpy shell of his former self.
He hides in the vents and walls of the Fazbear Pizzaplex, gazing silently at the children and the Glamrock Animatronics, trying to make sure that nothing happens.
Only Sundrop, Moondrop, the Giant DJ Spider and the tiny DJ Spider know about Springtrap, but they bond with him and so the grumpy Springtrap has a soft spot for them.
In this story, Glamrock Freddy is also infected by Glitchtrap's/Vanny's virus, so it's up to Springtrap to save the child Gregory.
Springtrap and Gregory don't get along at first, due to Springtrap's grumpiness and Gregory's sassiness... But Gregory then sees that the grumpy and old bunny is truly trying to help him, and thus they slowly bond... They become BFFs once they defeat Glitchtrap. 🐇⭐🐇
I like this story ^^ it's so great! I would love to see it as a comics, a novel or maybe even a fangame :D. I can even see why Spring(bonnie)trap can't help Gregory everytime. Glamrock Freddy can't because of his battery, and for Springtrap it's simply maybe because the others animatronics would attack him too. Also, he can't invite Gregory inside his "belly" X) unlike Freddy.
But now I'm questionning of how they meet and what was their reactions. I'm pretty sure that Gregory screamed of terror, since Springtrap is kinda spooky ^^;. And I see that Springbonnie stay Springbonnie, since he can't let a child in trouble, even a sassy child X).

any headcanons about friendy and kind hare animatronic s/o (who is for some reason fully immune to the afton (alter ego) virus) with freddy and gregory’s help trying to fix and make monty, Roxanne and chica come back fully to their senses and free them completly without destroying them and manages to do it with success in a quite unexpected way like he/she/they/xem/whatever asked to gregory play an song from an abandoned and lost smartphone they found to cheer the situation while freddy plays along side the song guess what happened? while the 4 virus infected animatronics where tied up and listened to the song in their eyes turned and glowed purple and they began twich and scream in a voice which completely aren’t theirs (glitchtrap’s/William’s voice) after 15 minutes their eyes exibited an purple “error” and ”self-deleting” menssages in their eyes before they got knock out for 30 minutes and miraculousy waking up back to their senses and fully virus free! showing that music and some others similar or shares the similar rhythm and audio frequency for some reason has an extreme unwanted effect on the virus leading it to self-destruct without giving traces like “fully exorcising a demon from a person then slay it”?
I gotta say this idea is SUPER big brained I love it ...........
"You sure this rebar will hold them?” Gregory looks to the aggressive Glamrock trio tied up in bundles of metal, uncertain.
Roxanne was complaining loudly about her hair, while Chica whined about being hungry, and Monty thrashed around and snapped his jaws.
Yep. They were still lost, taken over by that virus that amplified their worst traits. They even yelled at Freddy when he tried to calmly talk to him, saying hurtful things.
You (a hare-based animatronic who didn’t get infected), knew they didn’t mean it. They were even confusing you for Bonnie, with Monty in hysterics over that day.
But it finally convinced Freddy that they weren’t themselves, though you had an idea on how to help them, and you explained the plan to him. It was really just a theory...you weren’t sure if it would even work. But you had to try.
“It will, but not for long. We have to do this now.” You hopped over to Gregory, opening your chest cavity to reveal a smartphone you retrieved from lost and found. “This device has a playlist of the band’s original songs..like this one! Make sure the wireless connection is on and hit play when I say so.”
“Uh, okay..?” He takes the phone and connects it to a speaker, confused as Freddy returns with his mic. “What’s music gonna do again?”
“..hopefully bring them back. If not then..I don’t know what will.”
“But all we can do is try, right?” The bear beams with hope, making you smile back at him.
“Right. Now remember: no matter how they react, do not stop singing. Just pretend they’re...a bunch of angsty teens who can’t shut up.”
“...that’s kind of mean-”
“Freddy.”
“Okay, okay. I promise I won’t stop singing.” His expression turns serious. “I’m ready.”
You tell Gregory to hit play, and both of you hide behind one of the metal fences just in case anything goes wrong.
Freddy stood in front of his bandmates as they still struggled in their metal binds, his heart full of determination as he began singing.
They all perk up at the familiar music--and their leader’s loud and proud voice as it didn’t waver, not even as they started taunted him.
“Is this all ya got, Fatbear?!! Singing that stupid song?!! Some leader you are!!”
“TRAITOR!! Just give us the kid!!!”
“We’re only trying to help!! Why do you hate us, Freddy?!!!”
Yet it wasn’t long before something happened.
Their eyes began glowing purple one by one. And you, Freddy, and Gregory heard them emit these horrid noises--like hoarse glitchy screams that weren’t even their own voices.
Obviously it jarred Freddy, who was afraid of hurting his friends, but he kept going, not stopping for even a moment.
Soon the song ends, and they’re still in agony--but quieter as the purple glow began to fade and their temperaments haven’t changed.
“We need another song.” You urged Gregory to swipe to the next one, and he did, while Freddy sang that, too.
Over the span of 15 minutes, Freddy was singing songs and the corrupted trio was screaming as the virus got overwhelmed by the barrage of similar music frequencies.
As the last one concluded, Gregory noticed error messages flickering in their eyes, along with some weird computer jargon he didn’t fully understand.
But you did and looked on with awe. “See that? It’s forcing a system reboot on all of them!”
Meanwhile, the bear was out of breath, but he smiled brightly, relieved as they all shutdown. “You were right, [y/n]! It worked! They should reactivate in approximately..half an hour.”
Together you both work on untying them and dragging them to different corners of the room, waiting for them to wake up.
Exactly 30 minutes later, they stumble out into the atrium, confused and dazed. They seemingly forgot what happened.
But that didn’t matter. You and Freddy immediately hugged them, grateful to have them back.
It’ll be awkward explaining the situation between them and Gregory, knowing how paranoid the poor kid’s probably gonna be. Though somehow things work out in the end.

I've got an idea for what happened to Bonnie, but I'll admit it's just speculation at this point.
Tumblr media
From the damage seen to his body in his Bonnie Bowl room, he has claw marks along his chest. He has also been almost entirely dismantled. His left arm and leg are cut in two places- at the torso, and at the elbow/ knee joints. His right leg is cut at the knee. And his waist is cut clean through, making him into a segmented display. His head is also crushed and damaged- there's a broken bowling bowl nearby, to imply that's what caused it.
Notarealname Notatall has already said this in her video, which I believe- Monty did it by swiping at Bonnie's chest, and accidentally pushing him off the catwalks. The damage to his head and waist is consistent with getting knocked off the catwalks, because this is similar damage Monty takes when he falls from there. The broken limbs are also realistic- in a dufflebag message, it's said that Monty got knocked off the catwalks by the hurricane bucket, and broke both his legs. If he fell from the catwalks, and hit other parts of the catwalks/ Monty golf scenery on the way down, this damage is possible.
That's not speculatory- that's fairly set in stone unless Steel Wool wants to chuck a curvebowlingball at us- but this next bit is.
Why did Monty go for Bonnie's chest? I think because Bonnie had been helping a missing kid to try and get away from the pizzaplex, and Monty saw the kid climb into Bonnie's stomach hatch. We know Gregory isn't the only person to go missing at the Pizzaplex.
And Bonnie's movements through the night he goes missing, as seen in the Dufflebags, is quite peculiar. It's actually similar to the route Gregory takes through the Pizzaplex, if you chose the prize counter and disassemble Monty routes. Bonnie and Missing Kid just get to skip Daycare, White Woman Jumpscare, and Showtime.
"MISSING
SECURITY REPORT - 12:24AM - Bonnie is seen leaving his green room in Rockstar Row heading East towards the atrium. 2:40AM - Bonnie enters the East Arcade. 4:12AM - Bonnie enters Monty Golf."
It's a little confusing because The Prize Counter isn't referred to as being part of the East Arcade- the East Arcade itself is signposted as Superstar-Cade- but you have to go through the East Arcade to get to the Prize Counter. The West Arcade is the one where DJ Music Man is. So we know he went somewhere where, in theory at least, you could leave the Pizzaplex. But it doesn't pan out.
Bonnie may have taken the kid to Monty Golf next to pick up a camera- like we do with Gregory. But something went wrong. They went up to the catwalks instead of leaving Monty Golf. While we don't see it in game, there's surely got to be a way up there regularly that doesn't involve going through a vent. And there's a level 10 security door near Monty Golf that could lead to stairs up to the Gondola ride. Maybe the security alert going off spooked them, and they hurried up to the Catwalks, because staff bots cant go there? Because most animatronics don't go there?
Though, this idea has holes that I can't answer. Like does Bonnie even have a stomach hatch? He kinda looks like he could- pretty empty in there past the scratch marks. It looks like him and Monty are made using similar casing for their bodies, if so both him and Monty could have had stomach hatches.
Why would Bonnie not be infected by the glitchtrap virus here? I dunno man. Safemode like Freddy? Maybe it's just not in every animatronic just yet.
If this happened, what happened to the kid? We don't know. There's a dufflebag about Vanessa complaining about a prank call from the Pizzaplex to the police, that she then turned away. This "Prank call" could be from the missing kid. It could also be from a victim of the All Staff Meeting, or even one of the therapists taken to the Pizzaplex for disposal by GGY. so that's not proof- more speculation.
But this does explain why Monty did it- he went up to the catwalks after an alarm sounded in Monty Golf. He saw the kid panic and climb back in to Bonnie. And he got angry. He swiped at Bonnie for working against him and the others, causing Bonnie's fall and destruction. The kid may have survived the fall. Maybe. But probably didn't get very far before Monty or Vanny finished them off.
Because I still don't believe Monty was jealous of the band and wanted in any way how. Otherwise, why would he skip performances to hang out at the catwalks? Why would he trash his room, where he would presumably get photos with the kids, instead of basking in the glory of being a star?
Anyway, afterwards Vanny and Monty work together to get the destructed remains of Bonnie to Bonnie Bowl, hiding him in his room there. Vanessa scrubs the cameras of taking Bonnie back to his room, and logs that he disappeared in Monty Golf. Because no one is looking for him in there, his remains go undiscovered. But they set up a rudimentary mock up to explain what happened just in case- the shattered bowling bowl nearby, to try and make it look like Bonnie had an accident.
More speculation- But I think the Missing Kid could be Tony Becker. Dude gets asked by GGY to go to the Pizzaplex with him, to "Meet his friends". The same "friends" who probably bumped off the therapists. (The animatronics, under Glitchtraps control.)
tl;dr- I think Bonnie got dismantled like Freddy did in the Vanny ending- he was seen working with a kid, and was attacked for it. But while Freddy got pulled apart by staff bots, Bonnie got swiped by Monty, knocked over the sides of the catwalks, and sustained irreparable damage from that.

So... Ruin huh? (spoilers ahead, I watched Dawko' s playthrough of it. He's so dedicated its crazy) these are some misc thoughts about it
First of all, huge L to the people who don't like the book lore. If you somehow deny the books after this idk what to tell you. Besties that was literally the mimic idk what youre talking about
Eclipse is so lovely and charming oh my god they're a sweetie,,, they just wanna look after us and clean up the daycare <3
Cassie supremacy. Gregory had the AUDACITY to do that to her wtf. She has so much more personality than he did anyway. Can the sequel be Cassie and Roxanne beating the shit out of Gregory after a massive manhunt for him. (this is all a joke okay but also it would be funny)
Now the elephant in the room. Glamrock Bonnie. I don't think we were right about what happened to him. We get some backstory for him on the Monty ride and . I think he was either forced to give his role to Monty, or he gave up his role after all of the negative rep Bonnie has gotten after the MCI, with Afton using Golden Bonnie and decided to give it to Monty. ALSO THE POSTER IN HIS ROOM??? "You & Me Forever and Ever! Love Freddy" SOBBING. they were in love your honor-
i dont really have any theories yet apart from the Monty didnt kill Bonnie thing (i just want them to be friends okay), and also Cassie probably got infected by the Glitchtrap Virus with the Vanny mask and the AR world.
ok gonna go back to watching John Fuhnaff play it now, hes already going crazy he just said illusion disc i cant-

My interpretation of old man consequences
Note: this is under the assumption that the crying child is the character we play in FNAF world, Cassidy is the vengeful spirit from ucn, and the shatter theory is canon. I also use she/her pronouns for Cassidy because although I think Cassidy has probably been retconned to use he/him in the games, I prefer the representation of Cassidy as a girl using feminine pronouns.
When the crying child encounters old man consequences and the player is told "you've gone too deep," what he is referring to is the crying child going too deep into his memories, causing him to pass on without completing his task of helping to others to move on as well. This is shown when you go into the lake and are presented with the image of the Afton siblings hugging each other watching TV, which would be their happiest day; it's also shown in a stitchwraith epilogue when Jake got caught up in a memory and almost moved on without completing his task of getting rid of the objects infected with Andrew's agony and helping Andrew move on too.
Luckily for all involved, the ending where the crying leaves prematurely doesn't seem to be canon, so we never see the consequences of it.
Unluckily for those involved in the newer games, Cassidy keeping William and presumably the other spirits trapped in ucn is canon.
When Cassidy is confronted by old man consequences, she is told to leave William to his demons and to allow herself to rest, and this line is sometimes misunderstood as the conscience figure being all "oh no vengeance is bad just because and people who commit terrible crimes don't deserve to ever have bad stuff happen to them so you have to fOrGivE them" but that's not what he means, he even implies that William will be tortured all the same without Cassidy staying behind. Instead, what he means is that first off, the other spirits are also being trapped by Cassidy as we see in withered Bonnie's line pondering whether he or William is the one really trapped. Secondly, in the man in room 1280 it's explicitly stated that the two spirits are torturing each other, meaning that by staying behind to torture William, Cassidy is subjecting herself to once again be hurt by her killer. And lastly, by keeping him alive, Cassidy has accidentally created a door so that there's a chance that William could escape and come back, which we see happen with him escaping and coming back in help wanted as glitchtrap.
The reason that Cassidy is the princess in princess quest is because she has to fix the consequences of her actions, which was Vanessa getting infected by glitchtrap and used to hurt people like william had before.

// so apparently it has been confirmed that Monty was the one to decommission Glam Bon? So uh, guess I'll have to adapt Monty's backstory a bit. Although, blog-wise, it was not Monty's own doing that caused it. Due to him being the first one to be infected by the malhare, he was controlled by Glitchtrap to attack Bonnie in order to gather pieces of the endo for recreating Burntrap. And Monty does feel like he is the one to blame but will always deny it if another person accuses him. He may have not done it himself, but it was his own hands that hurt the one he called his friend.

Does evil!Bonnie currently have lore? CUS OH BOI I GOT SOME IDEAS!!!!
OMG GDJSHSHS
you shouldn’t of asked cause now I will ramble for hours- /lighthearted
but have been thinking about the au a lot and it’s worldbuilding, how to expand on things we didn’t see like vanny and gregory.. and now bonnie how they all got infected with glitchtrap virus..
and thinking about how bonnie even got infected in the first place, is he tied to maybe an arcade machine like vanny? or in some other way.. and what part of the persona he leans into.. I think a lot towards spring bonnie/springtrap and yet he’s different.. he struggles with feeling lonely and abandoned so plenty to explore.. my working idea as to how it happened, vanny wanted to spread the virus, heard about gregory and wanted to see if the animatronics could be infected too.. so bonnie became the test rabbit (excuse the pun).
but I would LOVE to hear your ideas!! and I would love to add on stuff anyone would think would make sense or would be cool! since I’m not a good world builder or good at theorising but I just love giving different takes to stories and explore ideas.. so throw all the ideas at me!! <33

I'm talking about Security Breach again because I've lost control of my life.
The upcoming ruin Expansion (or is it DLC) for the game is coming out and I still want the version of the original game we should have gotten.
They stopped working on it and they never figured out how to make that stealth work in a satisfying way and the chase system is broken as all hell.
Maybe they figured out in Ruin but I'm cynical to that idea.
Because to me, and I feel like this is a hot take but to me we've moved past the animatronics being scary.
The animatronics were scary when they were dead rotting bodies soiled into the carpet textures of the animatronics with the only signs of life being moans of pain and suffering. It's what made the original FNAF really creepy and it's why the Springtrap is the best Spring Bonnie outfit as it's all about the desiccated corpse rotting in the mangy springlock suit.
The horror of being killed, bleeding and oozing onto these lifeless objects and granting it life via possession is the winning formula.
But since the addition of "Remnant" the formula has been cheapened like coke when it went back to the classic formula but not really. We get possession the simple and clean way.
Robots being injected with the soul energy of the previous victims OR the "code" is evil and thus you get all the aspects of an evil animatronic minus all the narrative elements that made it compelling.
I really don't think we need the robots to be the scare factor in the stories anymore (especially if we outright refuse to have dead bodies that aren't Afton trapped in robotic bodies) so we should pivot towards Vanny, actually what we should have done is made it to where copies of the Glitchtrap virus were in every copy of The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience has a chance to infect the mind of the people who play it and have them carry out murders, not to revive Afton because "muh immortality" but because the Afton Virus compels people to kill irrationally and FNAF pizza places are just hunting grounds (again because the code compels them to seek out the vulnerable there) then we could have a series of video games in difference places with themed restaurants and even vastly different animatronics all with the central theme that a mind slaved person is killing people there.
The killer of the game would be the real sole villain and the animatronics do not try to kill you, on purpose.
It would be a different gimmick each game. Here's some examples: Toy style animatronics mistake you for the killer so they're always apprehending you instead of the real culprit and you have to trick the Toy animatronics into legitimately catching the real killer.
You're exploring the pizza place after it closed so while the night guard is looking to capture you the animatronics treat you to a good time and protect you from the killer.
A Fazbear escape room (one where the animatronics don't kill you but a killer is hiding in the room and waits for an opening).
Various period reenactment settings where visitors are expected to roleplay with the robots where the killer is disguised as a larper.
A real Circus baby carnival (where the killer functions a lot like the murderer in Bad Day on the Midway).
Animatronics at various zoo settings where the killer uses the animals to commit the murders.
A Fazbear fright that has functioning scare focused animatronics and a real killer hidden amongst them.
You're an engineer at a fazbear establishment and you have to program the performer and the security animatronics to find the right killer and apprehend them by plugging in clues for them to profile the culprit.
Pizzeria simulator but this time you are actually running a real pizza place with all the day stuff and in-between stuff the same but the night stuff is just you doing maintenance and making sure that if children start vanishing from the pizza place that you find out why and put an end to it quickly.
I could go on but you get the idea. We are not supposed to still be stuck on talking about the original 5 or so killed kids, Cassidy, or even the Afton family. The fire at the end of Simulator wasn't just to free the main characters but to free us from the constrictions of traditional FNAF.
If we can't escape the rinse repeat cycle of being at a FNAF location the day or week it gets shut down due to a killer who is either Afton or Afton related and then add 5 new loose ends while closing 3 old ones then as it turns out William Afton is not stuck in hell doomed to get jump scared for all eternity.
We are.

It shouldn't have been Burntrap. Afton should have possessed Glamrock Bonnie
So I've been thinking. If the original intent of Security Breach was Afton's resurrection, then we should have gotten Afton possessing Glamrock Bonnie.
Now we know Glitchtrap and Burntrap are The Mimic. But we all thought it was Afton in the beginning. But what should've been was to tie Bonnie's disappearance into Afton's resurrection.
Inspired by this video
youtube
Glamrock Chica is influenced by her past lives, so why can’t Bonnie? So here's the evidence that could help a Afton possessed Glamrock Bonnie!
Spring Bonnie. The big one. They used Springtrap in the HW VR game and the AR game and they are in universe games, so who's to say they didn't add in their programming for Glamrock Bonnie?
In FNAFAR, Toy Bonnie is shown to be a spotlight hog with a big ego. Talking about fame, and how he’s better than everyone else. Then from the AR emails.  It’s revealed that Bonnie ate a cat. He ate a fucking cat.
In the Freddy & Friends cartoon, Bonnie is looking mischievous and shifty. Under a chill persona hiding a dark secret.
You could parallel Glamrock Freddy and Bonnie’s relationship with William and Henry. Freddy thinks he can trust Bonnie, and loves him. Bonnie is however a self centered sociopath.
If you noticed the cut content of Bonnie bowl, you’d notice the minigame has Bonnie looking fucking evil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They have been teasing Glamrock Bonnie's fate and what's going on behind the Pizzaplex and I truly believe this should have been used to intertwine both story elements.
Fanart on what this Afton!Bonnie could look like by Bxnnie-Bowl
Tumblr media
Characterwise, Afton!Bonnie acts like he did as Spring Bonnie a friend to children hiding the monster underneath. When the monster is unleashed in the boss fight, you'd here lines like the ones in this video
youtube
For lore purposes. After the 9 victims of Vanny, she brought William back. We’d find out through various messages that Glamrock Bonnie has taken children to Bonnie Bowl and they were all never seen again. Glamrock Bonnie was the first to be infected and had William’s remnant transferred.
One day Freddy learns what Bonnie has been doing, takes Monty with him and confronts him Bonnie tries to kill Monty, thus forcing Freddy to stop him while Monty shatters Bonnie in self-defense. They hide him away in the back alleys of Bonnie Bowl and never speak again about it.
We could cut the nonsense about the Pizza Place and have the final confrontation in Bonnie Bowl. We have to play the cut Bonnie Bowl minigame because it has an upgrade that upgrades our security clearance to level 12 so Gregory can track down Vanny. Gregory gets the highest score in Bonnie Bowl and Vanny confronts us and unleashes Afton possessed Bonnie. Freddy holds Bonnie off while Gregory has to beat Princess Quest 3. Since Vanny's hideout is connected to Bonnie Bowl, we can get to it in time. During Freddy and Bonnie's fight, it causes areas of Bonnie Bowl to catch fire and said fire spreading towards the Pizzaplex. You have to beat Princess Quest 3 in 3 attempts. If you get it in one attempt. You kill Afton for good while saving Bonnie and Vanessa. If you get it in attempt 2, Freddy sacrifices himself to kill Bonnie. If you beat it in attempt 3, Bonnie shatters Freddy and is closing in on Gregory while Gregory just beats it in the nick of time. If you fail attempt 3, you get the bad ending with the last thing Gregory sees is Afton!Bonnie and Vanny with Gregory's fate left very bleak.
Regardless, after either ending 1 or 2, Vanessa comes to save the day and get Freddy, Gregory and Bonnie out of the Pizzaplex. with Vanny's mask on the floor and the last bit of the Glitchtrap code being left for HW2 to finish off for good. Or alternatively in the ending where only Gregory, Vanessa and Freddy are saved, we have Vanessa and Gregory locking Afton!Bonnie up in the bowels of the Pizza Place, sealing him away, installing the MXES program but in the shape of The Puppet thus starting the events of Ruin, only instead of The Mimic, it is Afton!Bonnie in his ruined remains we would see in Ruin just clawing his bits to kill Cassie, but when he has her in the elevator, Cassie's fate is left unknown and Afton sees the chance to replace the Vanny he lost and even better, she feels betrayed and he will give Cassie her revenge.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this before, a long while back, but I had this idea... what if Henry's son, Sammy, was a character in the games?
I have this idea where he grew up to be a technological whiz like his dad, and he knows William Afton is somehow still out there. So he creates two animatronics that exist to lure and capture all instances of William, no matter what form he takes. These animatronics are Fredbear MK2 and Spring Bonnie MK2.
Spring Bonnie MK2 is a lure animatronic. He exists to be bait to lure William to him. He functions like a typical family-friendly entertainment animatronic, and is even programmed to protect children from danger. Once he lures Glitchtrap/William out of hiding, Fredbear MK2's job begins.
Fredbear MK2 is a capture animatronic. He's a HUGE animatronic bear with a belly that opens up. He even has a mechanical arm with gripping claws that extends from within him. The arm is strong enough to grab an animatronic infected with Glitchtrap, and reel it into Fredbear MK2's stomach, where it is crushed inside like a soda can. Fredbear MK2 even has a function where he can self-destruct in order to destroy the contents of his belly.
I keep imagining these two animatronics as sentient, but... that would mean Sammy used remnant in his animatronic creations. So... is he as morally gray as his father?
My favorite thing to imagine with this idea is Spring Bonnie MK2 mocking William Afton to his face. "You're not me! You could never be me! The real Spring Bonnie is a friend to children, and you couldn't even do THAT right! Hahaha!" And William just gets FUCKING PISSED because HE IS SPRING BONNIE DAMN IT, and tries to attack Spring Bonnie MK2 out of sheer rage. Spring Bonnie MK2 calls Fredbear MK2 for help, and William finds himself under attack from a scary giant bear.
I need a name for this idea... can't think of one. Too tired.

I'm just a silly goober all around so if joyous whimsy isn't for you then you might not like it here
AUs and art examples under cut to save space
List of my AUs + small descriptions + their tags
Gregory quite literally stumbles into another Pizzaplex unlike the one from SB, now much smaller with uncorrupted animatronics, Bonnie as one of the band members, Foxy still around, and no security guards out to get him. Rabbit makes it clear that 6am won't be the end of this shift for her.
(Yeah I dunno how to write short AU descriptions, if you want more info about any of these then my inbox is open!)
Here's some examples of my more recent pieces/what you can expect from me when it comes to art:
