based on the ask (and request of many): please write the drabbles with kennedy and alex’s reactions to the news of mc returning there is interest!!!!! i am so interested!!!!!!

traffic is slow, crawling along slowly and kennedy taps her fingers against the steering wheel, impatient and without rhythm. she's tired still despite already having one cup of coffee at home and another in a flask sitting in her cup holder but it's obvious the longer she sits there in a barely moving vehicle that it's not the kind of tiredness that yearns for sleep. no; she's tired of the days melding together into one, the routine of waking up and going to work and coming back home only to the exact same thing the next day.
with a heavy sigh, she reaches for the radio in the hopes that music of any kind with soothe the restlessness she feels. but when she hears the spoken voices of the two radio hosts, she signs again. it's just her luck that she'd tune in on the news break. she can't bring herself to flick between stations however so she sinks back in her seat, letting it play.
"good morning, listeners, and welcome back to newsbeat radio. i'm your host, nick harding."
"and i'm your other, more talented host; mai vinh. we've got a truly baffling story to discuss this morning, don't we, nick?"
"you can say that again! in a shocking twist of fate, missing person mc renfield has reappeared after disappearing exactly ten years ago. the circumstances that they've returned under are just as mysterious as the ones they disappeared - it's almost like something out of a movie."
kennedy feels her heart stop beating as she rips her eyes away from road ahead to the radio, as if expecting to see the mc right there. their face flashes through her mind; every word spoken, every laugh, every shared look between her and them plays on a loop and she feels as if she's reliving each one.
mai takes her turn on the mic. "someone call hollywood! after a decade full of dead ends, the community can finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing that mc is alive and seemingly well. but the question on everyone's mind is, where have they been all this time?"
"the authorities have been tight-lipped with the details of their investigation," nick says, taking on a somewhat annoyed tone of voice. "but i've got some theories. i think we're dealing with something much more complex than your average kidnapping."
as if a switch has been flipped, kennedy suddenly feels as though she breathe again and she's already in the process of turning her car around when the conversation goes back to mai.
"watch out listeners, nick's got his tinfoil hat on!" she jokes. "i can't wait to hear what conspiracies you've come up with."
in a strange and sudden burst of anger, kennedy slams her hand against the off button, silencing the radio and leaving a tenseness hanging in the air. the nerve of them, she thinks. mc is a real person that people care about and yet they're treating the case like its a joke. she grips the steering wheel tight as she presses her foot down on the accelerator.
she has to see them, she has to make sure that they're okay, that they really are back. alive and well. safe. she wouldn't be able to function otherwise.
and she knows exactly where to go first.

shaking your head, you declined. "it's fine, it's not that cold. and besides, i wouldn't want to strip you of your british glory and your british coat."
charles snorted. "so it's my british glory, now? who was the one making fun of my accent literally just yesterday?"
"litch-rally," you parroted, grinning. "why is it that all your t's turn into ch's?"

he raised his jacket up and engulfed you with it in a bear hug. you shrieked with laughter and wriggled in his hold, but didn't protest when he demanded you hold your arms out so he could put the jacket on you.

"soccer?" he mocked, outraged. "soccer? it's football, mate."

"oh, come on, you know you could never get rid of me." charles pulled you in again, this time by your hand. "and for the record, you look cute wearing my clothes."
a few beats of silence, in which you two looked at each other with similar expressions of fondness and exasperation.
"yeah, okay, now get away from me, you victorian fossil." you shoved him playfully, and sprinted away to catch up with the other three. niko waved you over, giggling at charles, who was jogging to keep up.
"victorian fossil? i grew up in the 80s!" he exclaimed. "you know this!"

been thinking it for a while but it is both an interesting and frightening thing to see more and more people in their 20s who are usually self-professed hard-leftist progressives get more and more into emotionally-driven, kneejerk 'takes' about how everything new to them is bad and evil and 'this generation' (usually people younger than them who they seem to base all their opinions on from some teens dumb tiktoks they see) is stupid and doomed and the world/'our culture' is constantly degenerating, etc. many of the people who think of themselves as radical leftists are coming out with more and more barely-formed, incoherent and emotionally-driven reactionary ideas, and respond to any criticism of these ideas with defensive appeals to disgust or a general sense of 'everyone just knows this is bad!', bypassing needing to think over their own ideas or articulate the reasons they hold them entirely in favor of reactive outrage.
it feels to me like were watching in real-time how many of us will progressively turn into reactionary liberals or right-wingers - something many of these people have observed in older people, in their parents, but believe will simply not happen to them on account of having good intentions and progressive views, which they think means they dont need to watch themselves for impulsive, reactionary thinking, and even that their kneejerk reaction to anything is automatically the correct one because they themselves are already inherently good. of course it starts with generally inconsequential takes, its not like saying 'the tiles are ugly' automatically makes you a right-winger, but i reckon the festering of such modes of thinking shows the cracks in the foundation of many peoples professed political and social beliefs.
point being, i think there certainly are discussions to be had about the ways architecture - both as a tool that serves a material need and a form of art - changes, and what we may be losing to capitalist priorities on that front, but if the only argument people are making are "its ugly and degenerates our once beautiful culture" and their defense to anyone addressing how that sounds ends at "well its still ugly!", im thinking that kind of reactionary opinion-forming is going to seep into other, more important matters sooner than they may think. sorry for the long ask!
yeah i mean i definitely don't think this is a new problem or a generational one, it's just liberal idealism, but yes this is exactly why this type of aesthetic discourse irritates me so much lol. like i've said this before in regards to clothing but aesthetic signifiers gain their meaning in a social context and conditionally. if your analysis is "it's ugly and therefore bad" you're not only attenuating an actual read of what's being signified and why, you're also just veering directly into the most boring ass "everything is worse now and change threatens me" conservatism. the idea that ugliness and beauty are not transhistorical or transcendental truths should ideally be like, a starting point to both questioning other socially mediated constructs and to then moving toward a theory of asethetics as products of social discourses and economic conditions but instead people just cannot ever fucking resist yelling about how much beige or concrete or whatever the fuck is "soulless" or "lacks artistry" agabshxhsg it's so fucking cornball. get over yourself

So we know how Clover feels, but how does humanity as a whole feel about the fact that Asgore and by extension monsterkind... murdered six children to acquire freedom, even if their seventh would be victim insists that their totally cool now? (Yes Clover sacrificed themselves, but only because they were essentially backed into a corner) Is there no tension or outrage? Did it just... not come up during negotiations What did Frisk possibly do to prevent monster-human war the sequel? (nothing against this AU specifically, it's just a long standing pet pev of mine with post-pacifist fiction and I'm curious to see how you address it.)
Bonus Questions:
Does anyone outside of Clover's circle know that they where originally one of those six children? If it's widely enough known how would it impact the above questions? (Though I doubt Clover would be batting for Asgore anytime soon)
Did Frisk ever tell Clover about their confrontation with Asgore and how Asgore essentially threw his fight against them? How did they feel that their sacrifice was almost rendered meaningless were it not for Flowy's intervention? (Leading question I know)
this is a less monster clover ask more undertale in general but i have some Thoughts regardless;
I think humanity in general would not be happy with what Asgore did. I think he would try and take the blame for it entirely (as he should) and ask for humans to not fault the entirety of monsters for his mistake. hes the one who did it, so let his people go.
so while there WOULD be a lot of asking for humans to not blame monsters, i imagine the reception would be mixed. in real life people have a lot of displaced hate for entire countries filled with innocent people bc of their shitty leader. so. i imagine it would be tense no matter what LOL. i dont think there would be a war because.. well. i imagine asgore taking the fall for them would be enough (or maybe im just dreaming LMAO)
and there would be lots of people advocating for them as well! taking their side bc. they were literally forced underground because of humans and displaced entirely, so they cant really fault them for doing what they did?? they were literally trapped in hell for years. anyone would do anything to get out of a situation like that. and it was their king who did the killing, the monsters were just trying to survive.
and for the bonus questions, i dont think anyone would know who clover is! they keep their head down throughout the negotiations and such. to humanity they are just another monster trying to get away scott free, not a human advocating for monsters
i imagine frisk would share what happened with clover. it doesnt make them feel GREAT or even warm up to asgore at all, because why couldnt he give up sooner? what was it abour frisk that made him give up?? did he just not care enough about the other fallen humans?? it might just making them hate asgore more tbh LMAOO

I have seen your posts about Draupadi, and that is why i think only you will be able to save me from the inner turmoil within me.
Today morning, i was talking to my elder sis abt MB, and she told me that the Draupadi liked Karn at first, Krishn manipulated her into liking Arjuna. Then only Draupadi called him Sut-Putra and did not allow him to participate in the Swayamvara.
I was like "WTF?!?!"
Then i proceeded to correct her and say that:
1. There is no such thing written in Ved Vyas MB, Draupadi did not like Karn. Of course, why would she even?
2. Karn himself lost the Swayamvara as he failed to string the bow by a hairs breadth.
3. Krishn manipulating Draupadi? Why would he lol?
She told me no, this did not happen and argued with me saying that there is an entire dance piece in Bharatnatyam for this episode. Nice arguement👌.
Then she proceeded on to tell me on that Draupadi said "Andhasuya Putra Andha" to Duryodhan when he fell in the pool in Indraprastha and took away his weapons. That is why Duryodhan was angry and attempted to disrobe her later on.
I attempted to correct her again. I said Draupadi did not say a thing as she was not even present in the situation. I referred to the VV MB again. She said that no, Draupadi said that and insulted him and Dhritarashtra.
The most outrageous thing she told me:
"No, Draupadi was a very prideful, egoistic and an angry lady, and the humiliation she faced was partially her fault. That is why everyone went silent in Dyut Sabha. It is because everybody knew it was the fault of her anger and the result for insulting Duryodhan and Karn. Even after facing such humiliation, she did not 'tone down' and still demanded for Dushasan's chest blood to be washed down her hair."
I was super angry and I did not say anything. It sounded like almost she was justifying the Kauravas. And:

The other members are Ahilya, Sita, Mandodari and Tara, so I do not think that Draupadi is an egoistic or arrogant person, even if all serials show her having these qualities to some degree.

Draupadi did not like Karna, yes, though her feelings towards him are not mentioned. He clearly hates her, after all, he called her a harlot in front of so many people.
Why was the whole court silent? Maybe because they are spineless men, who find their own dharma of obeying the king more important than saving a woman. Still, many men did raise their voices against the event trying to prevent, which didn't help ofc. Even Dhritarashtra didn't like the disrobing part much, but he was not going to stop his son.
The Dushasana's blood thing did not happen, but I hope it had happened in real, since Draupadi or any other woman in her place had the right to ask for the killing of the man who tried to strip her naked in front of a whole court.
Duryodhan felt insulted as he had fallen into the pond, and the PANDAVAS had laughed (Which is a very normal cousin thing. They were the ones who had pulled him out of the pond.) Plus Duryodhan had felt very, very jealous of the Pandavas' wealth, hence the plot to get their kingdom was formed.
Now, even if Draupadi had insulted and rejected Karna and Duryodhan, it does not give them the right to sexually assault a woman. How are they any different from the acid-attackers and rapists of today, who deliberately hurt the women who reject/insult them because their ego is too fragile??
My final stand on this matter is that a) I will blindly support Krishna's cause, since he is GOD, and b) Whatever happened with Draupadi was WRONG, and she was faultless. People should stop bringing the arguments regarding her behavior to defend Karna and Duryodhana's actions. Admit it, they are horrible people, and even YOU wouldn't like them if you met them irl.

This is going to be a silly confession because I genuinely feel this topic is a dead horse, but my concern is of the mental health of stans in this aprt of the Internet, so here it goes. Some solo Tom fans are not really fans of who he is, but what they want him to be.
There is a blog who I dont want to mention cause I feel that they are entitled to their opinions, who seem very frustrated that Tom is allegedly doing SM4 and that fans aren't outraged with the fact his career isn't being steamrolled into prestige cinema outside the machine of MCU.
These fans are similar to CE fans, no shade.
I can understand the frustration cause Chris Evans fans also were in annoyance with the state of his career, post MCU. Chris Evans fans also hate his wife too so there's that, lol. Some Tom fans dislike the fact that he is just with Z and has no identity outside of it other than being a bf. Valid to some degree.
Now, let's bring some reality back into this. Stans need to understand that they don't know what Tom doing behind the scenes. They don't know what's in his head or his personal feelings. That tweet I linked was a very good observation in Stan culture cause some fans genuinely believe that Tom's accomplishments and actions are linked to them. It's a scary position to be cause now you are on the Internet spewing negativity towards tomdayas or anyone who celebrates their relationship and are in bubble cause you all lack nuance.
To be fair, Tom isn't taken seriously as an actor. Him doing a play is the best way to be taken seriously cause the theatre is the actors medium. He signed to do a 4th film for the MCU. You can't blame anyone but him for that. He's grown and is gonna do what he wants. If you don't like it, unstan. There are plenty of yt male actors who are doing prestigious films and Oscar buzz films to stan. The thing is you can't cause let's be honest we all love Tom and there's something about him that you can't help but root for.
He likes pics of Z, he even likes pics where he's just the photographer for Z. He lives tomdayas pics. He personally loves that role.
You have to meet ppl where they are at not what you want them to be. You have these high standards for a stranger, I can only imagine what you expect for ppl in your everyday life. Probably more leniency.

First of all...Whew! Those tweets! WOW! Can I say? Completely, 100% agree. 👏🏾 This is what is at the crux of stan culture and social media addiction, and celebrity obsession.

I agree. I think there are SOME fans of Tom who are truly genuinely fans of his, but they want his career to look a different way, or to be what THEY want it to be, instead of just letting go of control, being a passive fan, and allowing his career to be whatever it's going to be.
One thing about me is that I'm usually a passive fan of whoever I'm a fan of. While I would love my faves to do certain roles, I'm not out here getting angry or upset if they aren't doing roles that I personally would love to see them do. I just go with the flow. I'm happy whenever I hear of a new project announcement for one of my faves, and I let things go!

Don't get me wrong, I think it's cute, adorable, and lovely that Tom is so supportive of Z, and some of the cute things they do in their relationship is just really adorable and makes us all believe in love again. 🥰
The PROBLEM that I'm seeing though is that Tom isn't autonomous from his relationship and his career. It's cool that fans want to stan Tom because of his cute "boyfriend" behaviors, but Tom is first and FOREMOST an A-C-T-O-R. An actor should be admired for their career and their WORK, NOT their relationship. The relationship is just the icing on the cake (imo). 🤷🏾♀️
I think the problem is that some stans are mainly associating Tom with his relationship, and aren't really giving credit to his career and his work. That's demoralizing imo. Any actor that you are a fan of should be admired primarily because of their work. Who they are as a person, and any "boyfriend" behavior is like secondary and just icing on the cake imo. Granted, you're not going to be a "stan" over every good actor out here, and I get it. But Tom isn't some "TV Personality" or "reality star" or "influencer". re: a recent post of yours about special interests not simply being something one likes a lot, I've actually sorta been researching special interests (read: asking all my friends what their special interests are, if any, also reading and rereading everything I can find on the internet about special interests and trying to make sense of all the conflicting sources of info) and I'd love to hear what you define to be a special interest! How would you differentiate a special interest from, say, an adhd hyperfixation, or an intense hobby?

i dont mean to seem like im downplaying other people's interests or anything but i feel like a lot of allistic people operate under the assumption that a special interest is just like... when an autistic person likes something, and therefore, consciously or unconsciously, believe that special interests can be specifically chosen or dropped whenever someone deems them "inappropriate".
i've seen it go in different directions before- i've seen autistic people grilled for having special interests like certain aspects of true crime, historical events like 9/11, world wars, religious and historical figures that are undoubtedly bad people - i've noticed that the same people who tend to judge or fling outrageous accusations at autistic people for having special interests outside of things they deem "acceptable" believe that the only reason why someone would be interested in something is for the purpose of vicarious pleasure, so when they see someone who is so consumed by these "unacceptable" interests, they assume that they derive vicarious pleasure from researching certain dark and evil parts of the world we live in which is absolutely not the case in most situations
i've also seen people throw equally horrible accusations at autistic people who have "age inappropriate" interests - tv shows for preschoolers, toy collecting, crayola products, etc... most people expect everyone to "grow out" of certain things and when they don't, there's a reflexive response of disgust that most people don't seem to feel the need to examine in any meaningful way. imo this extends to people online who think that liking the owl house means you have no critical thinking skills LOL
i've seen the same people say things like "just get a new special interest", which if you've ever had a special interest is an outlandish thing to expect from someone that you don't even know. it's extremely difficult for many autistic people (including myself) to even spend a substantial amount of time thinking about something other than their special interest(s), to the point where it can become a detriment to social interactions with other people
sorry i kinda went on a rant and didn't really answer your original question lol. but it's just something that annoys me that i've never really talked about with anyone before so i kinda exploded LOL

Ahhh the way Shi Mei’s death is described is gut wrenching. I was so sad reading that. But yeah, at least there are more details to what happened. It seems like Chu Wanning couldn’t do anything to save him that day. Or rather, he had to choose. I feel like if he tried saving Shi Mei, he wouldn’t hold the barrier. So he chose, faithful to his principles. It ties to Chu Xun’s sacrifice that seems to be supposed to show how hard of a decision it must have been both on Chu Xun and Chu Wanning. My guess is Mo Ran either didn’t realize at the time that CWN had to choose one over the other or he couldn’t understand why he would sacrifice his disciple to protect all those people he himself doesn’t care about.
But damn that description hurt. Mo Ran’s heart was truly aching. And that comparison to a snowflake, equally beautiful and equally unimportant. Ehh

2. Chu Wanning is even more awkward than i was in high school which should be considered an achievement
Tbh I like moments of Mo Ran’s longing for Chu Wanning. And how he reacts when he sees Chu Wanning finally after all this time CWN spend “in seclusion”. Its lovely, but also hes so dumb for not realizing. This whole whatever was going on between them during New Years Eve celebration was just lovely but also so awkward. Chu Wanning deliberately giving him a copper coin dumpling? Absolutely cute. But also so awkward and just 😬 Instead of finding thousands of weird ways to flirt maybe just tell him? Idk its an outrageous idea, but idk give it a try maybe?? And omg that awkward moment when he wanted to invite mo ran to watch fireworks but… yeah. I felt it in my bones.
3. Breaking news, Mo Ran, despite being 32 yo in 16 yo body mentally somehow ended up being 5
Sometimes it feels to me as if mo ran desired CWN not as a person but as an object. And he is even comparing him to an ugly box that nobody wanted with perfectly fine food inside. An ugly box only he himself dared to open to discover the treasure inside. And he is so childishly jealous when now that box is on display for everyone to look at. Its almost silly. But also yeah, its another time he treats CWN more like a thing he owns. And nobody else should see any worth in that thing, because its only his to consume. There is a fine expression in my native language for a person like that, and funny enough, its also dog related. But I couldn't find any translation that would convey all the nuisance. It’s for a person that won’t let anyone else enjoy a thing even if they themselves have no intention of enjoying that thing either. It reminded me of this quote:
Eventually, like a beast, he had known only one thing: that Chu Wanning was his. Even if he didn’t care for Chu Wanning, he was still his to sunder and to ruin.
And like… Right now, Mo Ran seems to me like an annoying jealous kid that wants CWN for himself out of pure spite. Because CWN never gave MR attention he thought he was owed or that he deserved. I want to punch him just a bit.
4. Shi Mei is totally Chu Wanning’s wingman
Like he always tries to show Mo Ran that CWN isnt all that bad XD And I won’t believe he didn’t realize after all those completely awkward confessions and random hand holdings that Mo Ran has feelings for him. Like I won’t believe he wouldn’t see right through him especially on that boat. And I think he is smarter than MR and saw that CWN isn’t indifferent to Mo Ran after all. I want to say he would be happy if they’d get together but BASED ON COMMUNITY’S REACTIONS i feel like i will look like a clown lol. But oh well thats my very biased impression of Shi Mei.

Also it dawned on me while reading that you’re totally right @02cm, Mo Ran totally is wasting his chances with Shi Mei. I mean it happened before but that boat scene striked me as so annoyingly obvious. Like, he knows Shi Mei dies after he gets back from that “summer camp” in peach blossom springs. Its not gonna be long till that day and he can’t be sure it won’t happen again. And he is waiting around, unable to express his feelings that he was supposed to be so sure of. Is it… perhaps… a live showcase of Mo Ran’s only two brain cells almost connecting? Almost! Not quite there yet, but we’re on the right path.
5. This book makes me feel disdain towards the characters and then feel bad for them in the matter of chapters njnjgviuvnjuigi im not well
I'm so heartbroken with the story of how Mo Ran was punished when he tried to steal the haitang flower for Chu Wanning because he had a crush on him. And CWN never let him speak and explain himself and punished him instead. I mean it’s kinda understandable but it makes me sad knowing that MR had such pure intentions... Also, that bedtime story about ox… Mo Ran sees himself in that boy? Because it seems like he always took the beatings no matter if he deserved it and nobody was kind enough to actually listen? And it seems like it will happen again now that he's being framed for murder.
6. Me when MR gave Xia Sini butterfly hair clip and made his hair:
THIS HAS NO REASON TO BE SO CUTE. Also i'm actually enjoying that smol Chu Wanning arc despite being weirded out at first. It gave CWN opportunity to be more relaxed around MR and the rest. And just like he can enjoy sweets as much as he wants without having to worry about losing his face, he can also just chill a bit because oh boy, my guy needed it so much
7. Someone really dislikes Mo Ran and is actively plotting his demise (which im not even surprised with). It’s either someone he already managed to wrong after reincarnating or someone of those many, many people he offended in his past life that somehow also got reincarnated into the past. What are the odds?!
Also, if Chu Wanning and Chu Xun are related (rather closely given how they look alike) and Chu Xun died and Chu Lan died and it seemed like there wasn’t anyone left out of their bloodline… how. Also what’s the self sacrifice gene because it clearly runs in this family.

star trek update time. last night* we watched tng's "attached" and ds9's "necessary evil." *i am typing this at fuck o clock it will go up when im at work

to get this out of the way, i like how much worf e riker e deanna was in the b-plot of this, even just circumstantially (i missed data though). i also think riker finally getting fed up with the aliens and giving them shit was really funny. riker is never mean to ANYBODY. i'm also glad he was relatively chill about picard being missing for once lol. like, in NO way were these assholes ready to enter the federation. not to agree with picard, but PART of a world can't enter. if you haven't mastered world peace you can't sit with us etc etc. not that i'm fully buying the propaganda of the federation as the ultimate good or that earth does somehow have world peace but whatever. even i know these guys weren't ready. what a fucking joke
frankly stunned this didn't lead to discussion about the affair baby wesley crusher. yes i know picard said he would never act on it. i don't care about that. i KNOW these people have had an affair baby. they're the type. he would knock her up and leave her high and dry. it's the kind of man he is. don't tell me there's no affair baby. i know what i know. there IS an affair baby!! i will die on this hill
actually, even though i dislike picard, i think sir patrick stewart is a v talented actor and i DO like him. i also really like beverly, so they managed to be charming a couple of times in this episode, mostly when they had a thought we couldn't hear and then started snickering about it
that said, i have no respect at all for jean-luc. the campfire conversation sucked. beverly was DEEPLY flattered and also in a little bit of a vulnerable position and he WAS LYING when he said he didn't feel that way anymore bc he tried to hit her up at the end of the episode. a man would have HELD HER, jean-luc. i would have held her. beverly crusher i would treat you so much better

the window in this acted SO sketchy like she was fake crying at her third dead husbands funeral after she just inherited a zillion dollars but she literally was innocent. she pointed at kira and was like girl she did it and we're like NO kira's innocent! and then kira is literally not innocent but shady sketchy widow is. incredible

ds9 looks SO BAD in the past. to have children running around and playing in it now is insane. you can really feel the difference between the cardassian occupation and Now so well in this episode, it's as striking to us as it would be to kira and odo

40s mystery style of this was so fun. odo narration is so funny bc like he doesnt wanna do it and his log is just one sentence bc he thinks its fucking stupid and then by the end of the ep hes like man am i supposed to be usign this thing as a diary?? girl dont worry about it james t kirk did the same fucking thing
final note: rom in this episode was amazing. i've never really given him more than a passing thought before this but him secretly being a fucking amazing thief was truly fantastic. sisko and odo good cop bad copping him was really funny too especially when you remember his son and sisko's son are besties. i would still rank the ferengi as my least favorite ds9 characters but i was pleasantly surprised with how often i laughed

You're no better than the people who send death threats honestly since you want to ally with the people who want to police every online space and censor people. i debated not answering this because you are being rude and annoying and i dont like this kind of pointless arguing, but let me make this clear:
you are not helping address the problem. acting morally superior and righteous in the same brand of obnoxious is just about as much of "activism" as the "pro-shippers" who do it too. all you are doing is picking fights to get high off the rush of anger and dopamine. you are not "advocating" for anything. you are not addressing any of the problems. you are not fundamentally changing anyone's minds.
you are working on a bland, black and white mentality that ignores the complex reasons behind stuff. just by me saying that you have jumped to "so obviously you like sending people death threats and support it and are no better than the people do that" just like how the people who don't like your weird incest ships think you must obviously be an irl abuser.

all i can see from asks and posts like this is: you dont want things to change. you don't really care about the reasons behind it. you are right and other people are wrong because you don't like them. you like arguing online because you get a rush from it. you are doing this because you like fucking "winning". you dont care if you don't change a single person's mind because you enjoy the moral superiority you imagine you have. which are all the reasons the equally obnoxious people you hate and insist you are nothing like keep arguing with you. it is an endless cycle because you all enjoy the cheap thrill of arguing and bitching online that feeds into our worst impulses as human beings. i know im not one to fucking talk because i've also been known to jump into internet arguments, but i can at least recognize the problem and try to address it.
so long as you continue to act like this and act like your behavior is self righteous activism, this kind of shit will create a feedback loop. literally deactivate your fucking discourse blog, stop getting into pointless arguments online, and do literally anything else to address the problem. stop thinking that when i am addressing harmful mentalities online that feed into negativity and bullshit that you are immune to it because you're smarter or better than the people you disagree with. you're not. you're obnoxious.

ooh i loved your answer to the jealousy/envy ask! in that case, do you feel that kokichi ribbing phys about shuichi was genuine in any way? i think i remember you mentioning that shuichi was originally considered as a potential love interest when you were drafting sleep awake! ☀️
OKAY i got like three asks about the jealousy post and saihara specifically so im just answering this one as a collective answer . YEAH literally at the time of publishing i liked ouma and saihara around equally, and i was literally at the part of ao3 where you choose the relationships and i was like okat its 50/50 and i went with ouma literally because i thought a) it would make the story more complex and b) more people would read it LOL.
as for the saihara thing. i think ouma ribbing phys about it was a mix of two things: one was him doing that thing he does when he implies something outrageous/exaggerated to someone in order for them to get angry/embarrassed and reveal the truth he was looking for to counter it. all that to say is that he implied to phys that they liked saihara romantically because he wanted to find out the truth of it by reading their reaction, which was obviously to be in disbelief and embarrassment because they dont like saihara romantically.
the other part to this is just. genuine jealousy. this is fairly soon after phys killed shinguuji and ouma has been pulling away from them and putting distance between them. right before the library scene with saihara, ouma takes the keycard and leaves. phys is implored by the others to go after him, and it's recognised by them and phys themselves that this is something they usually would do. however, frustrated with ouma, they don't. i think this is the first time ouma realises phys isn't always at his heels anymore as a result of the distance he himself had placed between them, and it forces him to look at their relationship in a new light: he and phys aren't as close as they were and it's his own fault, so it's not inconceivable for phys to have run to saihara for comfort in his absence. i mean, that's how he sees it.
so . yeah. sorry this got a little out of hand when i force myself to think about what ouma's motivations are behind anything at all in sleep awake i go slightly insane.
