Is the way every time Sky was expecting for Pai to disappoint him, to show his real colors, to justify his reticence about letting the older man get into his life, to break the new image his brain was forming in his head about Pai, and the way Pai managed to surprise Sky by showing that, even if he’s not exactly perfect, in the end, amidst all his imperfections, he wants to make Sky happy, wants to show Sky to his family, wants to be present in his life, want to have a chance to show that he’s capable of loving him the way Sky deserves, that Sky is allowed to show to Pai all of him and Pai will accept it, no judgement, no pretense, no lies and no masks.

Is the way Prapai, without realizing, managed to break every single one of Sky’s expectations and go beyond his wildest dreams.

Is the way Sky, bit by bit, is allowing Pai to push away all the dark clouds from his life and give room for the sun to shine.

The Sky Protection Squad was in full force this episode, and honestly it was about damn time someone told the boy.

I saw a gifset and remembered how vicious Rain was after Stop beat up Payu, and if we don't get Rain going absolutely feral on Sky's ex I will sue.

Reading someone calling Sky's ptsd response 'passive aggressiveness' really hurts my soul. This is the type of person that people would never want to talk to or be direct with because they'd already made up their minds as to how they believe a person should feel or act in a situation.

Or a person acts a certain way and it goes against their romanticized idealism of the character itself - oh since he wasn't endearing then his responses are not justified. Oh since he's not a pretty crier then there's a lack of care/empathy are to how he feels.

Or it's the whole toxic mindset of - look at how much he has done for him. How dare he not be grateful. Luckily Prapai is not that type of person. Luckily Prapai doesn't fall into the toxic mindset of thinking Sky owes him something. Luckily for Prapai he realizes that the way Sky acted was totally out of character for him, even with his sassy sarcastic nature that he was willing to go find out what was wrong.

Binghe gets the shovel talk from literally the entire Cang Qiong mountain, but what he doesn't know is that someone gives the shovel talk on his behalf to Shen Yuan as well (because well Shang Qinghua is too scared to give a shovel talk to his son and also very offended because where's the protection squad for his baby?!)

It’s really funny actually I don’t consider myself like, a Sky writer specifically, but he ends up in my fics fairly often, and whenever he does, he um. he suffers.

What I also like about LITA, is the fact that, initially, most things seem random but they are clearly not. The drama is really put together as a whole cohesive story. For example, it is not random that Rain reacted the way he did when he saw Sky and Pai; it is completely understandable that he needs verbal clarification from his friend about his relationship with the guy who months before said he didn’t like. Is not random the way Pai took time with the fling in the party; is his personality, he is nice with the people he fucked before. While, yes, he should have not talked longer than five minutes, that behavior is something PAI would do. Not us, not Sky, not anyone (maybe other ppl would do it too) but himself. He behaves and acts as his own person and randomly getting the guy off is not in character with him. Sky “overreacting” with the “said cheating '' makes complete sense when you consider the trauma he has going on and the anxiety that comes from just getting into a relationship. Is not random that after finally opening his heart, again, he sees somethings that “reinforce” again that he is not worthy. Is a completely understandable behavior. He should have trusted me more in Pai? Yes, but at the moment, he is not even close to fully open to him so he obviously has his doubts and his fears are very fresh. And that’s the thing too, is not only about Pai who he feels this way; Sky trauma goes beyond his relationship with this man and as many people have already pointed out, Sky is still working on not being a people pleaser and becoming confident in himself. So yeah, completely understandable behavior.

The thing that might make people take a lot of things for granted and not actually get into the details of the story probably has to do with the airing thing. Most of us are watching the show while it airs, so people can and would often forget about things said in previous chapters or ignore visual signs like the red light when Sky heard the word “love”. It is understandable that these things wouldn’t go unnoticed if you watch the show in one sitting with all the chapters, but at the same time, it is not hard to understand some behaviors.

Seriously, I saw on twitter someone saying why Sky started overthinking the scene of Pai with the guy and why he was doing that to himself in a mocking way. And I was like ready to throw hands and be like “BITCH THAT’S BECAUSE HE HAS TRAUMA” but yeah. Love in the air is actually a really good crafted story with bad editing and weird audio but good storytelling and good characters.

Let’s talk about how Pai, instead of getting angry at Sky for pushing himself hard while still being sick, made sure that he was comfortable, took his medicines, was still allowed to follow the Last Cheer ceremony from a safe distance and that what he considered important to him would be respected, as long as it didn’t meant him jeopardizing his health.

Because it would be easy for Pai to take Sky away from there, as no one would make any objection about that (Sky’s friends literally made him sit in a chair while they worked through the ceremony)...

...but he found a middle ground between what Sky wanted (to stay there until the ceremony ended) and what Sky needed (to rest, so he could get better) by giving him the choice of either use him as a resting place (a more comfortable option, considering where they were) or going back home.

And also how worried he was with the possibility of Sky ending up getting worse instead of getting better, so Pai was willing to spent the night awake just so he could take care of Sky, and allow the other to focus on the ceremony instead of constantly having to make sure that Sky was keeping quiet.

Pai basically saying that he understands that Sky still has his doubts about his intentions but that he is serious about having a relationship with Sky was just him reaffirming the things he said at Sky’s room before going back home. That he’s there to stay and won’t go anywhere.

And Sky simply thanked Pai for “coming to him”. For being there, for spending some time with him, for accommodating Sky in his life, for making the effort, for being serious, for putting the effort. For showing that Sky mattered to him.

(A few people have asked, so I thought I’d add a note here. I wrote these lines myself. They’re not taken from any quote/poem).

I feel stupid but: I came across a post where you said in the tags that Offgun are out as couple - was that a joke or are they confirmed to be dating? (I’m super new to them, so I genuinely do not know. Also, English is not my first language)

They made a statement in... March-ish this year that they are together (after an interview last year I think, where they basically said they've done slash do everything together besides be boyfriends)

In the grand tradition of The Internet, some people don't believe it, because... I have no idea. I think it's probably because they don't post a lot of fan service-y pictures of themselves, which I think makes it more real, but 🤷🏼‍♀️ (despite the ship tag going strong all the while? Fandom is wild, shipping culture is a weird place, friends)

Anyway, we've had the little smooch at Gun's birthday that Jennie posted, and the picture of Gun in bed that Off shared, so like... It looks an awful lot like they were telling the truth.

They obviously love each other a lot-- and have since before they were official -- and I wish them nothing but happiness.

The thing about Greed and Lan Fan is that they make a great bodyguard duo.

Stoic martial arts girl and smug asshole twice her size refusing to wear sleeves. Every time you see them together he’s boasting about something and she’s staring impassively ahead. Flanking Ling on his throne and she’s standing ramrod straight with her mask on while he leisurely leans his shoulder against the high back like it’s his seat and grins like a shark.

You never see them coordinate when they’re fighting but then he says her name and it’s like she knows that’s her signal to do a feint and a double backflip and stab you in the leg, exactly in that order. He looks absurdly pleased every time.

He doesn’t fight women but you better be ready to because he’s about to sit back and watch her absolutely demolish you.
