The stats need in me is just so interested in the numbers. The fact that, compared to 10niversary, their total is lower but average pledge is higher (and has been consistently so) suggests that while 10niversary had an overall broader appeal, SK Returns really shows an understanding of what their specific fans really want
I would also imagine the presale factors in, like that’s the lowest tier and I imagine quite a few people might have pledged mainly for that for SK10 and this one not so much. And the lauren podcast I still can’t believe we got that, we’ve literally been saying for years we’ll pay to listen to her talk about literally anything for hours and that’s exactly what’s happening

The StarKid Binge Challenge
So as you all know Black Friday will be coming out on the 29th!! It’s Starkid’s 12th show to be posted to Youtube and as a way to celebrate my friends and I will be doing a two-day Starkid binge!! We’ll be watching all 11 shows available on Youtube in the order they where posted right up until Black Friday is released. Here’s the plan:
Also as a bonus, I went threw all of the musicals and wrote down as many food and drinks i possibly could so you could eat and drink like the characters. Anytime a food or beverage was shown, mentioned or parodied it was written down.

Backer number definitely is the key here. For 10niversary, Firebringer, and TGWDLM, the average pledges were all around $40, whereas the average pledge for SK Returns in over $60.
On some level it makes sense that it's higher because they're doing more than any of those projects (including 10niversary), but still, I think the bigger takeaway is the backer numbers. If more non-backers suddenly came in and donated tiny amounts, the average would go down but the total would be higher.
Yeah which like, while I would love more people to back, it is great to see that the dedication is there from people who are (not that not being able to donate as much/at all makes you less of a fan! It just warms my heart to see the support)

Every time the starkids get together for livestreams I get really emotional cuz they’re all so close and they’re kissing each other and saying inside jokes or saying things like “lol I fucking hate” someone but it’s all just joking around and all in good fun and they’ve all grown up and have lives and stuff, but they make time for each other when they can, for the fans too
It just warms my cold dead heart anyway—
