A collection of random snippets from Roderick Strong's LiveJournal, 2004-2005
So, unlike people like Punk or Joe, he never used his LJ extensively; there are still some fun/interesting posts from 20 to 21-year-old Roddy, though. Screenshots under the cut (with alt text and occasional commentary):
[the way he types always makes me laugh. So many exclamation points...]
[More exclamation points. Also, didn't know he worked CZW.]
[first time he worked IWA...wild.]
[first PWG match! Also him going out with Steen, Generico, and his "best buddy" Shelley, LMAO]
[Jamie Gibson becoming ROH champ, Punk leaving the indies, Roddy debuting the trunks, and them going to The Weiners Circle, which is thankfully not NSFW to read about.]
[Watching the Joe/Kobashi match backstage must've been wild. Also aww his mentor match!]

Okay "Holly Jolly Non-Denominational Holiday Time" is such a great opener? Like, put aside the fact that it's super funny and catchy as all hell (maybe even a little too catchy...), it does a remarkable job of representing the entire conceit and joke central to the Solve-It Squad stories without being too blunt about it. SIS as a whole takes the playful, childish idea behind Scooby-Doo--kid detectives allowed to do whatever they want while solving cases that adults somehow couldn't--and slathers it with more cynical, real-world topics such as the consequences of childhood fame, financial struggles, and PTSD, all without losing any of the goofy, cartoony, light-hearted charm. And "HJNDHT" does the exact same thing! It's an upbeat, festive Holiday song about all of the adult, massive real-world downsides to the season that nonetheless resolutely encourages you to get your Holly Jolly on. It's just such a clear and concise thesis statement without too obviously being one and a great bit of conception from TCB and writing from Nick Gage.

Danhausen wins, and Nick Gage said in their tag match tomorrow he's gonna "teach Danhausen to carve motherfuckers up with a motherfucking pizza cutter" Danhausen responded by a shocked face at swearing followed by a pizza cutter gesture
Seriously he went ⊙.☉

In anticipation for the second Cinderella's Castle livestream and preview of the 80s themed soundtrack this coming Saturday...
(last poll) Hopefully this isn't too hard on you cause it is for me. Screw, why did I make it alphabetize. I'm having a hard time choosing between the choices.
