Foxbury Dormitories
Briny Tower (gallery link) Tidal Tower (gallery link)
These are the student housing dormitories for Foxbury University in the sims 4. Because the the two lots are part of these matching towers that are connected, they're basically the same build on the outside with the floor plans on the inside rearranged to keep the appearance of a matching set.
The biggest difference between these two buildings is that the 8 dorm rooms in Briny Tower are for two sims each, and in Tidal Tower the 12 dorm rooms are for individual sims. Both buildings have a kitchen, a computer lab, a lounge space with a tv, and several group study areas inside. On the outside they have both small, intimate balconies for skill building, alone time, or hanging out in smaller groups, as well as a larger patio space for group activities.
All of the dorms have been decorated and furnished with beds, desks, closets, mini-fridges, and microwaves among other pieces of furniture to make each room unique.

[Sims4] MDZS - Lanling Jin - Golden Carp Tower 金鳞台
Hi All, I'm back with a new build for Sims 4. This is the The Golden Carp Tower of Lanling Jin Sect!
Tumblr media
I have received a lot of love and requests to download the previous 2 MDZS Sims4 Build series. I'm sorry for my late reply, as I rarely open my Tumblr.
I have replied to all the messages, and for you new readers who somehow discovered my Tumblr, don't be shy and drop me a DM for the download link. Please expect a delay in reply, as I rarely open my Tumblr.
Now that I'm back and have some free time, I finally got to re-visit my Sims4. Continuing the MDZS / the untamed build series, here I present you the residence of Jin Sect in Lanling City. The Golden Carp Tower (金鳞台, Jīnlín Tái; lit. Golden Scale Tower; also: Jinlin Tower, Koi Tower, Carp Tower) - source https://modao-zushi.fandom.com/
There's not much reference to Golden Carp Tower from the animation or the live-action series. However, watching the series, I feel that Lan Ling Jin's residence is very beautiful, a bit feminine, with a lot of flowers. As the name suggests "Tower", Lan Ling Jin's residence should be a tall building with long enormous stairs.
Tumblr media
source: https://modao-zushi.fandom.com/wiki/Golden_Carp_Tower
I found a beautiful castle built by one of the Sims 4 players, and I worked around and renovated most of it to suit the style of Lan Ling Jin's residence that I remember from the animation and live-action series.
THE BUILD
Tumblr media
Overall look from above: LanLing Jin's Golden Carp Tower
Due to limited capabilities in Sims 4, I tried hard to fit in ideal stairs to the castle. I am proud of the end result. Dominated with yellow gold and light green, the Golden Carp Tower looks elegant with a huge garden and outdoor space. The tower stood on a 64 x 64 lot.
THE ENTRANCE
Tumblr media
The entrance with big stairs is the highlight. With Jin Sect's emblem
BUILDING MAP
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 1st-floor situation is giving a big outdoor area in the middle. From the entrance, you can walk straight to the main building where the throne of the sect leader is located and the main room and house for the main family. On the sides, you'll find supporting buildings, which each have their own function.
GARDEN LANDSCAPE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The vast beautiful garden will greet you right through the high stairs and gate before entering the main building.
THE THRONE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Main building situation, where the leader of Jin Sect sits and welcomes important guests.
Tumblr media
On the right side, we have some leisure space and a dining room which then extends to lounge space. Upstairs we have a bedroom
Tumblr media
Lounge and Guest Room
Tumblr media
Kitchen
Tumblr media
We have a pond and a nice creative space on the left side of the main building.
Tumblr media
Little Library
Tumblr media
Little Pond was created by Jin Zixuan for Jiang Yanli when the latter missed Lotus Pier so much Jin Zixuan created the pond to mimic Lotus Pier. How sweet :)
Tumblr media
Dormitory
SURPRISE BASEMENT
Tumblr media
Down below the Jin's Sect leader's throne, we have another throne and space for different occasions. This is where the party happens, a beautiful garden hall.
Tumblr media
On the left side, we have a study room, where the teacher will lead the learning of Jin's sect students.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the right side, we have a material arts practice space.
CHILL & RELAXING SPACE
Tumblr media
Jin Sect, as one of the wealthiest families in the series, of course, needs a place for leisure with fancy facilities. We have an onsen with a nice bathroom and lockers next to the material arts dojo room. It's a nice location for the students to recover and relax after practice.
THE CULTIVATION AREA
Tumblr media
Lastly, since I will never be able to let the magic stuff not be embedded in the house. For me, the magic furniture really completes the MDZS / The Untamed Universe in the Sims. This is where the magic and rituals happen.
BEDROOMS
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bedrooms, bathrooms, and private study room.
That's all pretty much the overall look of Lan Ling Jin's Golden Carp Tower from the Mo Dao Zu Shi / The Untamed / Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation series. Of course, there are a lot of rooms, like the main bedrooms, more bedrooms, and the academy area, which I haven't put in here. Thus, for you who are interested in downloading and adding this beautiful build to your gallery and Sims world, feel free to DM me for the files!
See you in the next post!!

Lot Download - Simney State Dormitory (Minimal CC)
Tumblr media
I've always hated the pre-made dorms in The Sims 2 University, so I decided to build my own!
Amenities/Features
This dormitory sits on a 40x40 lot and costs nothing because dorms are free in Sims 2! This lot was designed for anyone who is playing with a large household of college students. This lot will only show up in a University subhood!
This Lot Includes:
13 individual dorm rooms, complete with basic furnishings (bed, dresser, desk), and an opportunity to customize them to your liking!
4 large bathrooms (2 male, 2 female) with showers and lockers.
Sizeable dining hall with coffee bar
Cozy study with bookshelves, desks, and computers
Large, open commons area with an assortment of entertainment
Parking lot with 9 spaces
Landscaped yard with hammock
Note: The computer in the lobby is inaccessible for sims. I did not realize this until after I cleaned and uploaded the lot! To fix this issue, simply move the desk and chair without using cheats. I apologize!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Requirements
CC - The only thing you'll need for this lot to look exactly as it does above is the Life Stories build set found here. Without this set, you'll only need to replace the exterior wall coverings.
Packs - I don't know exactly which packs are used, but I tried my best to stick with the base game and University.
Recommended Mods & CC
Decorative Parking Spaces - Fills empty parking spaces with random cars.
Random Dormies - Residents of dormitories are picked randomly (originally, lowest-numbered Sims were chosen) from the pool of unplayable students who don’t have keys to rooms on occupied lots.
No Dormie Regen - Prevents random dormies from being spawned.
Download
This lot was built in an empty Sims 2 game and cleaned with the Lot Compressor. I recommend you install this lot with the Clean Installer.

Note
1 & 3 for the ask game. :)
What's your favorite world in any sims game?
Ooooh, this one is tough but I honestly really like Oasis Springs. I don't know why, it's so basic but it's my favorite world to build in. Especially the starting culdesac, I feel like that one reminds me of a place I used to live, so that might do it.
3. Favorite pack from any sims game and why?
University Life from Sims 2. I just have fond memories of playing that pack and sending my sims off to go find a spouse in their dormitory. I was so disappointed with the Sims 4 University. It feels so dead and monotonous compared to how it was in Sims 2.

PROJECTS FOR MY MAXIS UBERHOOD 📏🏗️🛠️
A post where I write down all the edits/changes I make to my uberhood and the ones I will make. Nobody cares, but I like to see the progress.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
꧁ROUND 1 🚧 (What I did ✅)
I installed the game, I made my new graphic rules, installed all the anti-corruption mods, fixes, other mods, cc, clean neighborhoods, lighting mod, the CEP and clean UI.
I created the save using Veronaville as the main neighborhood. 🎭
I created two cemeteries (one for the Capp side and one for the Monty side) to move all the tombstones and urns here.
I have made townie all the sims in the family bin EXCEPT sims that belong to the Capps and Monty family. I moved them to some houses in the neighborhood.
I did a neighborhood cleanup with the hoodchecker to clean it of all the junk and confused memories.
I did make-over on all the Veronaville premade sims.
I cleaned all sim memories and gossip with Pescado's Batbox.
I gave each of them TS3 traits with a mod.
I randomized the sexuality of all sims with the ACR Controller.
I did a make-over of all Veronaville (residential lots included).
I synced the season of all households with this mod.
I transformed a residential lot (never inhabited by any sim) into the Monty's Italian restaurant.
I have transformed another residential lot (never inhabited by any sim) into an outdoor wedding venue, but I will modify it again in the future to become a church.
I have added some hood deco.
I put three lots of the lots container in the neighborhood to turn them into a café, a nightclub and a swimming pool zone. (I don't like them, but I don't know if I'll delete them in the future.)
I added a "university area", in W.I.P which consists of some lots with fake "university rabbit holes", a university square and a residential lot that I have yet to edit, but I would like to pretend it's a mini university house like a dormitory.
I added Downtown and did a make-over of ALL Downtown community lots.
[DOWNTOWN] I converted a karaoke venue into an all can you eat sushi restaurant, owned by Cyd Roseland.
[DOWNTOWN] I converted a bowling alley into a gym.
[DOWNTOWN] I converted a lot that I don't remember what it was into a spa with a sauna and massage beds.
[DOWNTOWN] I converted the "corner shops" lot into a lot with 4 different shops. One to buy videogames and electronics, one to buy clothes, one to buy animals and one to get a new haircut.
[DOWNTOWN] I added a small cinema area and a café to the art museum.
I did another hoodchecker cleanup because downtown sims brought other confusing memories (including the Tricou inheritance memory bug that I have yet to fix on simPe.)
I fixed the "Met SimID = 0x13AD37CA" memory bug on simPe.
I moved Cyd Roseland to a house in Downtown, did a make-over on him and the house, gave him the culinary career, TS3 traits, sexual preferences, got him to buy the all can you eat restaurant and made him a werewolf.
I've done two consecutive rounds.
I have created a backup which I will update at the end of each round with each family in the rotation system.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
꧁ROUND 2 🚧 (What I did ✅)
I have added Pleasantview as a subhood.
I changed the Pleasantview terrain to this terrain to add the beach lots to Pleasantview with the Hoodreplacer program.
Added three beach lots.
I created a cemetery for Pleasantview and moved all the graves and urns of the neighborhood there.
I did a neighborhood cleanup with the hoodchecker to clean it of all the junk and confused memories.
I cleaned all sim memories and gossip with Pescado's Batbox.
I did a make-over on all the Pleasantview premade sims.
I gave each of them TS3 traits with a mod.
I randomized the sexuality of all sims with the ACR Controller.
I did a make-over of all Pleasantview (residential lots included).
[PLEASANTVIEW] I added a small cafe area to the clothes shop and a machine for selling electronic items.
I did plastic surgery on Mortimer & Alexander Goth because they looked ridiculous and not serious enough, but I have yet to make it genetics with simPe.
I gave the "1/4 alien" token to the Caliente sisters with a mod.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I added a small university area in W.I.P exactly like Veronaville.
[DOWNTOWN] I converted a residential lot (never inhabited by any sim) into a school that in the third rotation I will make active with a mod by Chris Hatch.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I added Hood Deco to the neighborhood.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I added from the lot container an apartment in the neighborhood, and I did a make-over to it to match the style of the condos of the Caliente sisters and Don Lothario.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I have added another apartment from the lots container in the neighborhood, but I intend to convert it into a community lot to turn it into a luxury hotel near the beach lots.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I moved Kaylinn Langerak to a residential unit of the apartment near the Caliente and Don Lothario condos. I gave Kaylinn the custom maid job, gave her the TS3 traits, randomized her sexual preference, gave her a full make-over and then I cleaned her memories with the batbox.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I downloaded Kaylinn Langerak's family from Dee-Dee Sims. I have related with the inSIMnator every member of the family (including Kaylinn), aged the adults, I did a make-over to the entire family, killed them and left only her older brother, Parker Langerak alive.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I moved the Langerak family graves to the Pleasantview Cemetery and moved Parker to the same apartment where Kaylinn lives, but to a different residential unit. I gave Parker the paranormal career because he seemed interested in that, the TS3 traits, randomized his sexual preference and gave him a full make-over. (again)
[PLEASANTVIEW] I added the Kim family lot to Pleasantview. I moved the Kim family to the same apartment as Kaylinn and Parker (but in a different residential unit). I gave Robert and Cynthia the acting career, gave the whole family the TS3 traits, randomized sexual preferences and made a make-over to the whole family. I cleaned their memories with the batbox, then I demolished the original Kim house.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I added the Kat family lot to Pleasantview. I moved the Kat family to the same apartment where the Langeraks and Kims live, but in a different residential unit. I gave Tara a career as a dancer because music and dance were her predestined hobby. I gave her TS3 traits, randomized her sexual preferences and gave her a complete make-over. I cleaned her memories with the batbox and then I demolished her original house.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I moved the Oldies and the Burbs to two different houses in the neighborhood and did exactly what I did with all the other families. Herb and Coral are retired, Jennifer is a policewoman, John is a teacher.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I moved Lilith Pleasant with her maternal grandparents (the Oldies) for story reasons and because she kept running away from home when she was with her family.
[PLEASANTVIEW] I moved Meadow Thayer momentarily with the Oldies for story reasons and cleaned her memory with the batbox.
I synced the season of all households.
I played two consecutive rounds in Pleasantview to synchronize with the two rounds already done with Veronaville.
I did another hoodchecker cleanup for the garbage brought by the confused memories of the Kims and Kats.
I have created a backup which I will update at the end of each round with each family in the rotation system.
I have installed a multi PT & Ideal Plantsim mod.
I changed the Clean UI to the Starship UI.
I added Strangetown as a subhood.
I set all seasons of Strangetown to always be summer to be consistent with a desert climate.
I created a cemetery for Strangetown and moved all of Olive Specter's garden tombstone there.
Again, hoodchecker cleaning to clean up the confused memories of all sims in Strangetown and fixes things. ✌🏻
I made a make-over of all Strangetown sims (Singles, Loner, Vu & Pleasantview's Bella Goth included). I gave TS3 traits to everyone and randomized their sexual preferences.
I did a make-over of all Strangetown (residential lots included).
I made Ophelia Nigmos and Olive Specter witches.
I added the alien tokens to the aliens sims. (Full alien to Mr.Smith (PT9), Lola and Chloe Curious, half alien to Johnny Smith and 1/4 alien to Jill Smith.)
I canceled Pascal Curious' alien pregnancy to get Tycho from one of the new PTs.
I added an apartment from the lot container and modified it to be similar to the exterior style of the Grunt house and the house next to the Grunts. In this four unit residential apartment I moved the Singles (Unit 1), Ajay Loner (Unit 2), Crystal Vu (Unit 3) and Bella Goth (Unit 4). Then I cleaned their memories with the batbox and gave them the TS3 traits, randomized their sexual preferences and gave each of them a job. (Ajay is a journalist, Lola works as a politician, Chloe as an... adventurer? Kristen as a sports athlete, Erin as a medium, Crystal as a scientist and Bella... you will see.)
I installed the 4GB patch.
I downloaded from Chris Newbie Dominic Newlow, Emily Emory, Isaac Rossum, and Lincoln Broadsheet from TS2 Strangetown for PSP.
I installed Gshade, nicer screenshots, yey!
I moved Emily with Bella, created a house for Dominic near the Specter house and a house for Isaac in front to Dominic's house. Lincoln temporarily lives with Isaac. I did a full make-over on all 4, added TS3 traits, randomized their sexual preferences and gave each one a job. (Dominic and Isaac are scientists, Lincoln is a journalist and Emily has a custom career as a maid.)
I added some desert hood decos plants to Strangetown.
I installed LD height mod, set my headcanon heights for all premades of all the neighborhoods and let all other sims be randomized.
I created a park for Strangetown.
I have added more hood decos for Strangetown.
I downloaded the color traits and assigned or randomized them to all premades sims.
Hoodchecker... and backup, again!
Right now I am trying to play 2 consecutive rotations in Strangetown to synchronize with the two rotations already done in Veronaville and Pleasantview.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
꧁ROUND 3 🚧 (What I want to do in this round 🛠️)
[DOWNTOWN] Find a way to pay for certain lots, like the gym.
[DOWNTOWN] Add these parking spaces to each lot that allows it.
[DOWNTOWN] Edit a bit the all can you eat restaurant.
[DOWNTOWN] Do plastic surgery on Cyd Roseland and make it genetic to make his face more unique as it's a basic face 2.
[DOWNTOWN] Make the school I created active, with the CH mod.
[DOWNTOWN] Create a hospital to be made active with this CH mod.
[DOWNTOWN] Transfer all downtown, Veronaville, Strangetown & Pleasantview townies in Downtown homes. Give everyone a makeover, give them traits, works and randomize their sexuality.
[DOWNTOWN] Trying to fix the buggy memory of the Tricou inheritance on simPe.
[VERONAVILLE] Add a very special sim.
[VERONAVILLE] Create a small bank and a pharmacy for Veronaville. The bank will be managed by the mayor (Titania Summerdream) the pharmacy by ???
[VERONAVILLE] Try to finish the university area of Veronaville.
[PLEASANTVIEW] Make Mortimer & Alexander Plastic Surgery Genetics.
[PLEASANTVIEW] Create a small bank and a pharmacy for Pleasantview. The bank will be managed by the mayor (Mary-sue Pleasant), the pharmacy by Don Lothario.
[STRANGETOWN] Create a small bank and a pharmacy for Strangetown. The bank will be managed by the mayor (Lola Curious), the pharmacy by Jenny Smith.
[STRANGETOWN] Create a university area.
[STRANGETOWN] Create an old-fashioned arcade with an adjoining "club" area for teenagers.
[STRANGETOWN] Transfer Meredith Lillard and Abhijeet Cho in a lot in Strangetown and add them to the Strangetown rotation. Give them both a complete makeover, give them a job, ts3 traits and randomize their sexual preferences.
[STRANGETOWN] Convert an apartment of the lot container into a community lot to create a motel.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
꧁ROUND 4 🚧 (What I want to do in this round 🛠️)
Add Twikki Island, Takemizu Village, and Three Lakes, then edit all three. Once done, remove the streets in all three neighborhoods with the hoodreplacer.
[DOWNTOWN] Add new types of community lots to Downtown such as cinema.
[STRANGETOWN] Create an American dinner for Buck Grunt to manage and a flower and magic potion shop for Ophelia Nigmos.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
꧁ROUND ??? 🚧 (What I want to do in this round 🛠️)
Add the real three premade universities and edit them completely.

Budgeting Tips for Your Study Abroad Adventure
Tumblr media
Embarking on a study abroad adventure is an exciting journey filled with new experiences and opportunities. However, managing your finances wisely is crucial to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay in a foreign land. In this blog, we will explore some budgeting tips that can help you make the most of your study abroad experience without breaking the bank.
1. Create a Realistic Budget:
Before you jet off to your new academic home, take the time to create a realistic budget. Consider all possible expenses, including tuition, accommodation, food, transportation, and leisure activities. Research the cost of living in your destination country to get a better understanding of how much money you'll need. Be honest with yourself about your spending habits and allocate funds accordingly.
2. Explore Affordable Housing Options:
Accommodation can be a significant expense, but there are often budget-friendly options available. Consider staying in university dormitories or shared apartments to save money. Research different neighborhoods to find an area that is not only affordable but also safe and convenient for commuting to your classes.
3. Take Advantage of Student Discounts:
As a student, you'll likely have access to various discounts that can help you save money. Always carry your student ID card and inquire about student discounts at restaurants, museums, transportation services, and entertainment venues. These discounts can add up over time, allowing you to enjoy more of the local culture without overspending.
4. Set Aside an Emergency Fund:
Unexpected expenses can arise at any time, so it's essential to have an emergency fund. Set aside a portion of your budget for unforeseen circumstances, such as medical expenses or travel disruptions. Having a financial safety net will provide peace of mind and prevent you from scrambling to find funds in times of need.
5. Cook at Home:
Eating out frequently can quickly deplete your budget. Consider cooking at home to save money on meals. Learn a few simple and nutritious recipes that you can prepare with local ingredients. Not only will cooking at home be more economical, but it can also be a fun way to experience the local cuisine and connect with your fellow study abroad students.
6. Use Public Transportation:
Public transportation is often more affordable than owning a car or using ride-sharing services. Invest time in understanding the local public transportation system, such as buses, trains, or trams. Many cities offer discounted monthly or semester-long passes for students, making it a cost-effective and sustainable way to explore your surroundings.
7. Shop Smart:
Be mindful of your spending when shopping for essentials. Look for budget-friendly supermarkets and compare prices before making purchases. Consider buying generic brands, and take advantage of sales and discounts. Additionally, try to purchase items in bulk to save money over the long run.
8. Participate in Free or Low-Cost Activities:
You don't need to spend a fortune to have a good time. Explore free or low-cost activities in your host city, such as walking tours, local festivals, or outdoor events. Join student clubs or organizations that offer affordable social events, and take advantage of the cultural experiences available on campus.
9. Manage Communication Costs:
International communication can be expensive, so explore cost-effective options for staying in touch with family and friends back home. Use messaging apps, video calls, or international calling plans to avoid hefty phone bills. Consider purchasing a local SIM card for your phone to save on data and call charges.
10. Keep Track of Your Expenses:
Regularly monitor your spending to ensure you stay within your budget. Use budgeting apps or keep a simple spreadsheet to record your expenses. Review your financial situation regularly and make adjustments if needed. Being aware of your spending habits will help you make informed decisions and avoid financial stress.
In conclusion, studying abroad is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your horizons and immerse yourself in a new culture. By adopting these budgeting tips, you can make the most of your study abroad adventure without worrying about your finances. Remember, with careful planning and financial discipline, you can create lasting memories and friendships while pursuing your academic goals in a foreign land. Safe travels!

Here’s What to Do Before You Fly to Study Abroad
Tumblr media
Studying abroad is an exciting and life-enriching experience that offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture, broaden your horizons, and gain a global perspective on your field of study. However, the journey begins long before you board the plane. Proper preparation is key to ensuring a smooth transition and making the most of your time abroad. Here’s a comprehensive guide on what to do before you embark on your study abroad adventure:
1. Research Your Destination
Take the time to thoroughly research your destination country and city. Understand the local culture, customs, traditions, and any potential cultural differences. Familiarize yourself with the local language, and consider taking language classes if necessary. Learning a few basic phrases can go a long way in making your transition easier.
2. Secure Your Documents
Ensure that you have all the necessary documents in order. This includes a valid passport, student visa, acceptance letter from your host institution, and any required permits. Make copies of these documents and store them separately from the originals in case of loss or theft.
3. Health Preparations
Schedule a visit to your healthcare provider to discuss any required vaccinations, health precautions, and medication you might need while abroad. Research the local medical facilities and health insurance options available in your destination country. If you have any existing medical conditions, ensure you have enough medication to last your entire stay.
4. Finances and Budgeting
Create a budget for your time abroad, factoring in tuition, accommodation, food, transportation, entertainment, and travel expenses. Notify your bank of your travel plans to avoid any issues with using your cards abroad. Research local banking options and exchange rates to make informed financial decisions.
5. Accommodation
Arrange your accommodation well in advance. This could involve securing a spot in a university dormitory, finding a shared apartment, or even homestay options. Research the housing options available and choose one that aligns with your preferences and budget.
6. Pack Wisely
Pack essentials such as clothing suitable for the local climate, personal hygiene products, important documents, electronics, and any academic materials you might need. Be mindful of baggage weight limits and any restrictions on items you can bring into your destination country.
7. Cultural Sensitivity and Adaptation
Familiarize yourself with the local customs, traditions, and etiquette. Being culturally sensitive will help you integrate better into the local community and avoid unintentional misunderstandings. Stay open-minded and be prepared to adapt to new ways of living and learning.
8. Communication
Ensure that you have a working mobile phone and a plan for staying connected with family and friends back home. Research local SIM card options for cost-effective communication. Additionally, inform your loved ones of your travel itinerary and emergency contact details.
9. Pre-Departure Orientation
Many universities and study abroad programs offer pre-departure orientations. Attend these sessions to gather valuable information about academic expectations, cultural integration, and any logistical details. This is also a great opportunity to connect with fellow students who will be studying abroad alongside you.
10. Embrace the Adventure
Studying abroad is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so make the most of it! Embrace the adventure, step out of your comfort zone, and engage in activities that allow you to fully experience the local culture. Keep an open mind, make new friends, and create lasting memories.
In conclusion, preparing for a study abroad journey involves careful planning and consideration of various factors. By researching your destination, securing necessary documents, prioritizing your health and finances, adapting to the local culture, and staying connected, you’ll be well-equipped to make the most of your study abroad experience. Remember, this is a unique chance for personal and academic growth, so approach it with enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn and explore.

Arctica BACC Rules
I’ve decided posting on tumblr is too much work so I’m just gonna play this for myself and delete the arcticasims blog. Repasting my ruleset here for reference:
Here’s the rules I’m using for my BACC. They’re based on @ennysimmer‘s who’s rules are based on The Redmond Flats. With adjustments by myself to fit my play style. Much of the text is copypasted from ennysimmer.
1. Services are unlocked when a relevant business or community lot exists. Firefighters need a fire station, Chinese food delivery requires a Chinese restaurant, pet adoption requires an animal shelter or shop, etc. Unlike ennysimmer, I’m letting my sims have fire extinguishers. They each brought 1 extinguisher with them, which means I’m letting them extinguish one fire before they’ll need access to purchase new extinguishers. I’m also assuming they’ve brought a lifetime supply of soap as I don’t wish to micromanage their ability to shower and wash dishes.
2. Until a power plant is developed, houses need to have a solar panel in order to use electricity. If they have more than one fridge and couple personal electrical items, they need additional solar panels.
3. Sims cannot purchase new things until a store exists that sells them.
4. All careers are locked except for one spot in the political career and one spot in the adventure career.
5. With every new community lot (player-owned or otherwise) you earn 1  CAS-sim, with every fourth new household you earn a community lot  (children moving to their own place, or sims separating, counts as new  households).
Unlocking business districts: 1 district per 5 player-owned businesses & 1 business tycoon sim. For every business district, you earn 5 CAS-sims.
Unlocking Downtown: Unlocks when the population reaches 25 000. You can only have one attached. It earns you 20 CAS-sims & 5 community lots.
Unlocking university: Unlocks when the population reaches 10 000. 1 free dormitory and 1 free college building when unlocked.
Calculating your population: The actual number of sims in the hood X your current multiplier = your population
The first multiplier is given for founding the town, so you start out with 1. Then you get:
+1 for the first community lot you place
+1 each time you reach a multiple of 5 community lots (So, you add one to your multiplier when you reach 5 community lots, then one when you reach 10, then 15, then 20, etc.)
+5 for adding a Downtown
+5 for each Business District
+5 for each University
Careers:
Adventure: Unlocks once a museum is built in the neighbourhood on the largest lot (subhoods included). A museum cannot be built until the sim in the first adventure position reaches level 2.
Architecture: 1 position unlocks per 10 lots in the neighbourhood (subhoods included). Unlocks when population reaches 50 000. Once a sim is in this career, build mode construction (walls, windows, etc) is unlocked.
Artist: 1 position unlocks once there is at least one sim in Architecture, Education, Law Enforcement, Medicine, Politics, at the same time. There must also be a fire station, grocery store, appliance store, electronics store, and furniture store. Additional positions can only be occupied by sims with level 5 in creativity or an art degree.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Athletics: This career is unlocked for all Sims once a player-owned sports-themed community lot is in place. The sport in question can be just about anything: Bowling, darts, ice/roller skating, basketball, soccer, mini-golf, or swimming. Whatever. There must be equipment available to participate in some sort of sport, though. You can't have just a "sports bar."
Business: A new position in this track opens every time a player-owned business of any kind reaches Rank 5. It is unlocked to everyone once someone becomes a Business Tycoon, the top of this track.
Criminal: Unlocked, but the only sims who can join the career are the ones who either have the LTW to become a criminal mastermind, the kleptomaniac trait, or the evil trait.  Unlocks for all sims when population reaches 10 000.
Culinary: The first position opens when there’s a restaurant in town. The career is unlocked when there’s a downtown.
Dance: The first position opens when a player-owned dance studio reaches Rank 5. When that first person reaches the top of the career, the career is unlocked for everyone.
Education: 1 position is unlocked per classroom. Classrooms can only be built when there is more than 20 children attending the school (so 20 children per classroom).
Entertainment:  1 position unlocks once there is at least one sim in Architecture,  Education, Law Enforcement, Medicine, Politics, at the same time. There  must also be a fire station, grocery store, appliance store, electronics  store, and furniture store. Additional positions can only be occupied  by sims with level 5 in charisma.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Gamer: To enter the first position, a sim must win a gaming competition. Future positions can be entered by sims who own a computer & gaming console and all the video games.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Intelligence: A position opens in the Intelligence career whenever a Sim reaches the top of the Military, Criminal, or Science career.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Journalism: Unlocked when there is a print shop in the neighbourhood. The newspaper is unlocked with this career.
Law: The career is only open to Sims with a degree in Political Science.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Law Enforcement: A position opens whenever one of the following happens: A burglary, A playable Sim reaches the top of the Criminal career. Also, there can only be one Police Chief and one Captain Hero at a time.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Medical: The first position opens when there’s a hospital. Once uni is unlocked the career is open to anyone with a degree in biology.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Military: The town must be connected to a downtown and there has to be a military base. Only sims with at least 5 athletic skills can join. Only one sim can be general at any given time. Never fully unlocks.
Music: The career is unlocked when a community lot including a stage and three musical instruments is placed. This lot does not have to be player-owned.
Natural Science: Open only to Sims with a degree in Biology.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Oceanography: Unlocks to sims with a bronze fishing badge when a pier is built.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Paranormal: One position opens when there’s a graveyard with 5 gravestones. Every time an occult sim (witch, alien, werewolf, zombie) moves in/sim gets turned an additional position opens.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Politics: The career is completely unlocked once the population reaches 1000. However, there can only be one mayor at a time.
Science: Any Sim who maxes out both their Logic skill and their science hobby enthusiasm may enter the Science career. The career is always open to Sims with a degree in Biology, Mathematics, or Physics.  Unlocks for all sims when population reaches 50 000.
Show Business: The career is open to any Sim with a degree in Drama or creativity level 5, so long as there is already either a Prestidigitator (top of the Entertainment career) or Professional Party Guest (top of the Slacker career) residing in the city.  Unlocks when population reaches 50 000.
Slacker: A position is opened whenever a "club" community lot is placed. It is unlocked once the city has a Downtown.
Security Pet: This is unlocked for all pets once there are 5 positions filled in Law Enforcement. Or it is always open to any pet owned by a Sim in Law Enforcement.  Unlocks for all sims when population reaches 50 000.
Service Pet: Unlocked once there is a hospital in the neighbourhood.
Show Business Pet: A slot opens for each sim that reaches the top of the Show Business career.  Unlocks for all sims when population reaches 50 000.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
I renovated the dorm building from my Pinnacles Uni lot to be an actual dorm now that there’s Discover University EP. This is set for ubrite students and is connected to the secret society.
There's 9 beds in 4 rooms (3 are 2 beds & 1 is 3 beds). Ground floor has toilets, bathroom, kitchen & common room. Upper floors have the bedrooms, more toilets/showers & common areas.
Lot size: 20x15
Lot type: Student housing
Lot traits: None
Packs used: EP: Discover university, island living, get famous, seasons, cats and dogs, get together. GP: Jungle adventure, parenthood, dine out, spa day, outdoor retreat. SP: Tiny living, backyard stuff.
Debug and live edit objects used. The lot is fully playtested and shouldn’t have any problems if bb.moveobjects is used when placing.
Download on TS4 Gallery [link] or by searching my username SushiMarilyn.
Check out my other builds here!

HATLEY CASTLE - X MEN UNIVERSITY - SIMS 4 DÍAS DE UNIVERSIDAD
