The Crown [ Lounge + Bar] ♥ The Sims 4: Speed Build // CC
Welcome to The Crown, a haven of refined indulgence that seamlessly shifts from an upscale morning restaurant and lounge to a sophisticated evening gentlemen's club. In the daylight hours, experience culinary delights in an ambiance of polished dark wood accents, moody lights, and soft jazz.
As the sun sets, The Crown transforms into an intimate and stylish club, where discreet luxury meets thrilling entertainment. With an emphasis on sophistication, The Crown offers an unforgettable fusion of exquisite dining and sensual experiences in an atmosphere of opulence.
Additional Notes: ● In order for the adult club function to work, you must download the wicked whims mod [Download at your own risk]. ● This build does not have to be a club, it can be set as a restaurant, a lounge, or a bar. ● I am not 100% familiar with wicked whims so I will not be answering questions regarding the mod. However, I played around with it and did some playtesting as a club owner and everything is functioning correctly on my end. I advice that you look up tutorials if you're not sure to how this lot type works.
● Please make sure to turn bb.moveobjects on! ● Please DO NOT reupload or claim as your own. ● Feel free to tag me if you are using it, I love seeing my build in other peoples save file ● Feel free to edit/tweak my builds, but please make sure to credit me as the original creator! ● Thank you to all CC Creators ● Please let me know if there's any problem with the build

The Furniture Showroom (CC Pack for The Sims 4)
Over the last few months I have seen some pieces of furniture that I wanted to make but that didn't fit well in any of my previews cc pack ideas. I saved them for a while and I finally found a very cool idea where they all can live together: A Furniture Showroom.
And of course, I always have wanted to recreate the ICONIC Heart-shaped Bed and Hot Tub from The Sims 1 and well, since this is the cc pack of February, I thought it would be appropriate for Valentine's Day.
Along the kinky bedroom and the motel style patio, I created 4 more mini collections that you can use to decorate your Sims houses: a bathroom, a sunroom space, an eclectic reading area and a mini study room.
WooHoo Collection, the bed is inspired in the real life Heart-shaped Bed from the "Pass the Spark" MV featuring Anitta.
Niagara collection. Inspired by the ICONIC Niagara Love Tub from The Sims: Hot Date.
Eccentric and Bogat collection.
Guan and Puzzlion collection.
▶ ABOUT THE CC PACK

Confort: 3 Chairs, Sofa chair, Heart-shaped Bed.

Herbalist Decor - 4t2 Conversion of Nolan-Sims' Decor
Tumblr media
Happy Halloween (again)! 🎃 Here is some herbalist-themed decor for your Sims! Because even at Halloween, it's all about the plants over here. XD Swatches, details and an updated download below!
This set is comprised of 4t2 conversions from @nolan-sims' Simblreen 2019 and Simblreen 2018 collections, and includes two hanging plants (wall and ceiling), four picture frames and two skull planters. I slaved objects whenever possible to save on space, so please be mindful of that if you don't want everything in the set. Also, a few of these meshes are high poly! The skull planters in particular are quite high, so please keep that in mind as well.
Herbalist Hangs v1 (ceiling) 1850 poly, 15 recolors, Deco > Plants $50 Herbalist Hangs v2 (wall) 1049 poly, slaved to Hangs v1, Deco > Plants $100 Herbalist Frames v1 (fancy oval) 385 poly, 6 frame/4 painting recolors, Deco > Wall Hangings $100 Herbalist Frames v2 (simple oval) 213 poly, slaved to Herbalist Frames v1, Deco > Wall Hangings $100 Supernatural Specimens v1 (vertical) 541 poly, 6 frame/4 painting recolors, Deco > Wall Hangings $100 Supernatural Specimens v2 (horizontal) 541 poly, 6 frame/4 painting recolors, Deco > Wall Hangings $100 Skelly Planter v2a (on candlestick) 2548 poly, 15 recolors, Deco > Plants $50 Skelly Planter v2 (no candlestick) 2366 poly, slaved to v2a, Deco > Plants $50
I've included numbered swatches for the artwork, so if you're an arachnophobe like me, you can easily delete anything that's too crawly. XD The ones that are numbered "01" should actually read "mesh", since those are the 01 recolors. Whoops!
Tumblr media
The frame recolors are attached to files mesh - 05 for these. Please pardon the wonky swatch, there was no other way to do this one.
Tumblr media
And the frame recolors are attached to all the recolors for these, which I'm hoping won't be a problem since there's nothing 8-legged here.
@kayleigh-83 sent me a message and let me know there was a problem with one of the herbalist hangs recolors. If you already downloaded during Simblreen, please download again for the fixed version! It was sils_herbalist_hangs_v1_08 which wasn't working properly; you can just overwrite that file. If there are any other issues, please let me know!
DOWNLOAD (SFS) Packages are ~6.3 MB
Lots of love, Spacey

Galois Room Post!
I made Gale's room in the Sims! It took a ridiculous amount of time for such a tiny room. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out-it's faithful to what I was picturing, and the places it's not can be blamed more on the limitations of the Sims 4. One thing I struggled with was the size. It's supposed to be a pretty small room, most of the living areas in Draxum's house are, but I definitely had trouble placing everything I wanted in there. Sizing it up 1x1 made it feel too big though. (Sims 5, please let us build walls on half or quarter tiles, I'm BEGGING you) In the end I couldn't fit in a real bookshelf, which was my only real gripe, but he still has plenty of space for books. (plus Draxum has so many bookshelves, he can offload some if he gets too cramped)
I wanted to have it mostly Galois but not 100% Galois. He's a teenager and wants to decorate his bedroom to the nines because that's what teenagers do, but I also wanted to keep in mind that this furniture was not bought for him and was mostly left over from its last occupant/bought when Draxum viewed Donnie as his new science slave and not his son.
Without further ado, here we go!
Tumblr media
It's...yeah, it's white. Nothing else really looked good. It was Bella's room first and Draxum didn't bother to repaint. She probably had this place papered with posters and cringey 90's wall hangings when she lived here. In retrospect pale purple walls were a trend in the 90's, but whatever it's done now.
(I also forgot to paint the walls originally so I might have just gotten used to the white)
Also just imagine the ceilings are a little lower, the wall height needed to be on medium for the rest of Draxum's house to work and due to how the Sims 4 works I couldn't give just Gale's room shorter walls. The top of the cabinet should be touching the ceiling.
Tumblr media
Other side! Gave him some nice plants, he's got some hanging ones around his bed and computer area. :) I'm not sure how I feel about the rug but I was feeling a circular rug and the colors worked. Left door is to the bathroom.
Huginn and Muninn 100% made that knitted turtle for him.
Tumblr media
Did I give him one of those fairy light canopies every movie and sitcom character had in the 2000's? Yes. Yes I did. Look, I wasn't planning on it, but I saw it in the lighting section and I had to give it to him. I know I'm terrible to him but he is my baby and I will spoil him.
Tumblr media
Better view of the bed. (the canopy kept fading from existence) Got the salt lamp and the lantern Cass gave him, I'm so happy I found those. I'm probably the least happy here, he needs more stuff on his shelves and more pictures under them. There's so many goddamn pictures in this room but HE IS A TEENAGED BOY and this is how they express themselves.
Also the clutter under the bed. In-fic that platform is actually storage space, so it works. Please enjoy how he's hiding his fashion magazines behind the pillow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His little computer corner! The Draxum family stays pretty unplugged when they're not at work, (Draxum would like them to be anyway) but Gale's allowed to have all the tech he wants in his bedroom as long as it stays in this corner.
Swing back again and-
Tumblr media
Just pretend that the vampire doll is Atomic Lass, okay?
So that bookcase thing. Is NOT a bookcase. It is a thing of evil. It drove me absolutely nuts because I wanted to fill those shelves in with clutter. Those are not snap points. But the bookcase has snap points. So I couldn't alt-move stuff there or use 9-0 keys because they'd just snap to the bottom there. So now they just look empty and stupid while he has books on the floor.
But other than that, I like this corner. He's got some binders for schoolwork in the cubby there, got some artsy stuff for relaxing and his box of vinyl records with no record player. (Draxum probably has a record player somewhere) It looks like how an actual teenager would organize his shit. I'm not sure how I feel about him leaving a stack of books on the floor, but overall Gale is a very good book owner so I'm sure he's careful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He doesn't get a window so I gave him a nice picture with curtains so he can pretend.
On a side note, I absolutely fucking hate the curtains in this game, that was the only set that looked good and didn't cover up the whole damn picture AND THEY DIDN'T COME IN PURPLE. Really, there's such a lack of purple in this room. Blame the color swatches, because I tried. God I miss Create-A-Style.
Again, please use your imagination and imagine the bulletin board filled with pictures of him with Cass or Pax and loving notes from the goyles. There's also a watch on his dresser-before he recreated his tech gauntlet, Draxum gave him a really nice watch to wear. He doesn't wear it anymore because having his gauntlet on hand is a major source of comfort, but he still loves the watch. I also realize this looks more like a girl's bedroom, but to be fair Donnie is very gender and Galois inherited that from him.
(I was SO tempted to put that box of kleenex behind his computer)
Tumblr media
Close-up of the clutter in his corner. I know Donnie's canonically not into geology, but this game really wants you to use rocks as decor. Also purple.
I don't know what that orb thing is supposed to be. Maybe like a mini version of the orb Draxum was looking into during the Goyles episode? That sounds like something a Yokai teenager would have in their room.
I wanted to give him a stereo too but my game glitched out and wouldn't place any, so I put a mixtape there in honor of that. We'll say Cass made it for him.
I did make his bathroom too, but it's not the most interesting because
Tumblr media
Yeah, pretty small.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
God, doors in this game look so silly when they're up against a wall.
It was looking way too white so I gave him the fishies and the plants for a splash of green. That sink is also SO not the style I was going for but everything else was clashing with the other counter. We can say this bathroom was remodeled at some point when vessel sinks were in fashion. I don't know why because no one was living here when they were. (Huginn and Muninn probably did it as a weekend project just for fun) I feel like he needs a rug and a big piece of art on the opposite wall, now that I'm looking at it.
I definitely went overboard with the bathroom clutter. I was just very excited that I was able to squeeze in a whole counter just for decoration. Seriously, I just wanted to add in that eyebrow pencil so he could draw on his eyebrows, then that evolved into the blush palette and the makeup brushes and the lotions and the nail stuff. He doesn't even fucking wear blush.
He did make his electric toothbrush, though Draxum makes him keep a backup because he's skeptical about how that works.
And that's the build! I'm also building the rest of Draxum's house, but it's taking a while due to the absolute utter ridiculousness of the layout. (I mean, it's my own fault, I'm the one that chose this layout)(and also because I need to use the curved wall tool for his mushroom house, and by god curved walls are impossible to work with) Decorating should be quicker though, the only place with this level of detail should be the lab and maybe the greenery. I'll probably revise his room a little, maybe paint his walls an actual color. I also want to do something more with the cactus he has on his counter. Maybe I'll download some more CC so I can give him purple curtains.
I also have no idea if this is actually playable. Probably not, I feel like a Sim wouldn't be able to figure out the platform bed thing. But whatever, I didn't make this to actually play in.

Hello! This night club was created by using the "Weird Shell Challenge" created by Sims 4 Gallery user TsurugaKyouko! This build uses only packs Get Together and City Living. Though the build itself is placed on a lot in the Strangerville world, since that was what the original challenge was built on, you can obviously place this build on any lot you see fit. Hope you all enjoy!
Please ignore the white chunks of ceiling :/...there is a glitch that wont let me paint curved ceilings.

*Make sure to enable "bb.moveobjects on" cheat before placing this build*

I made a budget version of B06-32 in The Sims 4 for...reasons...and I thought I’d share it with you all!
the bunker has nine bedrooms (each with four beds), a monitor room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, reference room, bathroom, restroom, infirmary, garden, armory, phone room, maintenance room, and trash room. my gallery ID is PufflePoff if you want to download it but it uses a lot of packs sorry.
----
hallway: the door on the left leads to the monitor room. Yuugo’s room is the right door closest to the archway, and past the archway is the ladder to enter the bunker.
Tumblr media
Yuugo’s room: I’m pretty sure there are supposed to be four sets of bunk beds in each room, but I wanted the bedrooms to feel kinda small so I put chests next to the door instead. that way the kids can store their belongings.
Tumblr media
monitor room: there aren’t bookshelves in the monitor room, but I added them to help cover up the entrance to the phone room. if you push the furthest bookshelf on the left...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...you climb down a ladder into the phone room! this is the only phone in the build catalogue so now the bunker has a giant telephone box.
Tumblr media
dining room: the layout of the dining room changes throughout the series, but I decided to go with the table arrangement used after the Goldy Pond arc. you can’t really see it, but the piano is in the corner furthest from the camera (it’s actually a keyboard because we don’t have a normal piano for some reason). once again, I added bookshelves to conceal another secret room...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...the armory! this one was very difficult since we don’t have many weapons in TS4, but I tried my best.
Tumblr media
kitchen: this room is only partially shown in the manga so a lot of this was just an assumption. I made sure to add a teapot for Yuugo and plenty of cabinets for storage.
Tumblr media
pantry: this room is mentioned a few times, but not really shown. I basically just put the refrigerators and a bunch of kitchen clutter in here.
Tumblr media
reference room: the manga shows a few angles of the reference room, but they don’t really line up when you try to put them together. the area furthest from the camera is based off of a panel in the manga, but the rest is made up.
Tumblr media
bathroom: I opted for an onsen bath instead of a regular tub so all the boys could fit inside. there are two open showers on either side of the door as well.
Tumblr media
restroom: the restroom isn’t shown in the manga because honestly why would it be. behind each door is a toilet stall (with toilet paper of course).
Tumblr media
infirmary: there are only three beds in the infirmary, but there’s room for more. there’s also plenty of wall space for any drawings the kids might make.
Tumblr media
garden: the garden has perfect quality potatoes, carrots, spinach, basil, strawberries, and blueberries. there are also two empty pots by the main door. you can’t really see it in this picture, but next to the hose is a small door that leads to the maintenance room.
Tumblr media
maintenance room: this room is hinted at but never shown. it mainly acts as a utility corridor, but the bunker’s heating and cooling systems can be accessed from here.
Tumblr media
trash room: on the other side of the maintenance room is a door that leads here. this is where all the trash goes before it’s put to use.
Tumblr media
layout: the whole bunker is underground. this is the main level:
Tumblr media
and this is the lower level:
Tumblr media
the rooms on the left are the two emergency exits. the layout of the tunnels isn’t based on anything, it’s just kinda random.

Dockscombe House: now furnished! Someone requested I post the furnished version of Dockscombe House so I did my best!  I decorated this initially to move my simself and my best friend’s simself into, so if you’re going hmmmm, this seems like two modern twenty-something queer women’s pet-and-plant-filled fantasy of a country house, there you are. If your game says there’s CC missing and you’re sure you have everything I listed here, please let me know so I can figure it out. If you like it or post anything with it, tag me!

Tips for building your palaces
Astuces pour la construction de vos palais
I have a lot of questions about that. I thought it would be nice to share my experience (I'm clearly not the best palace designer... but if it helps). All the more so as I myself have been looking for tricks at the time, without much success. It’s a very long post, and moreover it’s not exhaustive. But I think it's a good basis! Feel free to fill in the comments or ask questions, so that I can edit the post as I go along.
Getting Started
1. We all start at level 1. There is no shame in learning! 2. I will recommend some CCs, but the essentials. They are optional, it just adds comfort to the construction. 3. I'm speaking as a royalsimblr, maybe that's less useful for other simmers...
Before building
1. It may seem a bit painful... But it is absolutely necessary to find out about architectural styles and artistic trends. Palaces always respond to arts, political ambitions depending on the period. All the more so if it’s your main palace. It's not just a question of making it look nice! If you make it coherent, your structure will radiate all the more! 2. Your main palace, if your dynasty is ancient, will inevitably have several rooms erected in different eras, and having undergone several transformations. You can even imagine stories for some of the main or outdoor rooms! 3. Take about ten reference pictures (minimum). For both exteriors and interiors. You can go on Google, Pinterest, Wikipedia, make screenshots of films, documentaries, books... It will never entirely resemble the image taken in reference, but it is also the charm of the Sims :) And it allows you to add your own personal touches
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Take a BETTER look at the constructions of other simmers (royalsimblr, Youtube...). Let me explain: don't skip quickly over the pictures and comment "wow it's beautiful" if you want to learn from them! Observe the ingenuity of the creators. Look at the objects they have chosen, how they have stacked the objects, what sets of colours, what furniture choices they have made... Don't hesitate to ask them for plans! Or ask them for tips :)
You have to ask yourself about the techniques used, all the time!
5. Choosing the right land for your palace. Look around the land to see if it is marine, urban, rural... They should inspire you. Nothing should be left to chance. For your main palace, I recommend a 64x64 plot anyway.   There are no rules! For example, my palaces extend over several 64x64... But one can be enough, just like a 50x50. It all depends on whether you want a palace for : - Screenshots - Gameplay - Or both ! For screenshots, the palaces may be artificial (no bathrooms, protruding ceilings in the roofs, rooms that lead nowhere)... For the gameplay, it is better to arrange it so that your sims have access to all the rooms, and can meet all its needs. The gameplay inevitably takes away a bit of grandeur from the palaces. 6. The more you choose to take a large plot of land, or even several, the more time you will spend on it :) Patience is the key! The more you progress, the faster it will go on the one hand, and on the other hand the more you will like to spend time there without it being a suffering
Let's start building!
1. First of all, you have to know all the possibilities offered by The Sims 4 :)  Open the cheat console by doing Ctrl + Shift + C and type these codes before you start building. List of building codes : bb.moveobjects on, allows you to place objects on top of each other as you wish. With this code you can use: key 9 and 0 to raise or lower an object. Pressing the Alt key allows you to move your objects more precisely. bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement,  bb.showliveeditobjects, bb.showhiddenobjects These three codes unlock and reveal hidden objects. In the search function of the buy/build mode, type **DEBOGAGE**. And you will see how many items are available for your creations! Even without CC, it's gigantic!
Try to get to know the contents of each pack so that you can quickly find themed items. Don't hesitate to use the game's filters, which are often overlooked. For example, I use the colour filter a lot.
2. Here are the two CCs that I use a lot. There are others for the construction mode, but these are the two main ones : Tool Mod and Buildmode Freecam by TwistedMexi. The camera mode allows you to walk around your palace during construction. Immersion allows you to see the effect on the screenshots! And the Tool Mod is also very useful for the poses of your sims! 3. Be curious! There are a lot of tools in sims 4. Use them all, you can go back if you don't like it! Try to learn little by little the keyboard shortcuts of the tools, so that your constructions are not disturbed by the interface and remain immersed. Also, there's no point in downloading mods that add construction tools if you don't master the basic ones : you risk getting tangled up!
4. If you have a specific idea in mind but can't make it come true, don't panic! There are a lot of very specialised tutorials for specific objects (ex. balconies) on forums and Youtube. Feel free to show friends or simblr where you are stuck for advice!
5. Go back to the reference image if you are in doubt, that's what it's there for. This advice may seem silly, but when you've been at it for hours or even days, sometimes you don't think to take a fresh look at an image you think you have in your head.
6. For those who are not afraid of recolouring (or even creating an object) don't hesitate to add some personal creations, it will please you all the more! Whether it's a wall, a piece of furniture or a painting.
7. For more concrete tips. Think of your palace as a big block of stone. You are the sculptor: you will have to gradually roughen it up so that it takes shape! What matters is the relief. The more relief you put on an architect or a room, the more depth there is, the more realistic it will seem! Depth of field is the key to creating impressive rooms or corridors. This is what Renaissance painters discovered. Behind the portraits of nobles, there is always a door open to an infinite corridor, or to a ceiling that seems impossible to reach.  Feel free to use all floors to make this ceiling height effect. If you take screenshots, don't hesitate to learn how to use the sims camera, which can also create depth by moving back the mouse wheel for example.
Other tips
1. Don't hesitate to download palaces you like from the gallery, and dissect them! See how the creators placed the objects, created this roof, etc. That's what taught me the most...
2.  That may sound like a bit of a lame trick... But if you're really interested in architecture, you'll have to read more than just styles! I'm far from being an architect, but being aware of some architectural problems helps to make your structures realistic (strength of the walls, the foundations....)

Welcome to Sims Petersburg Imperial Palace!! A private tour of HIM Tsarina Alexandra Private Apartments
Welcome one more to Sims Petersburg Imperial palace, the official residence of the Simpire Monarchs and my never-ending undergoing building project for the Simpire simblr story :).
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing contents of numerous creators, many researches and photos but ,most importantly, The Winter Palace Research blog (for floor plans and old photos of the palace in use) and the amazing Hermitage museum 360º tour!!
Without them it would be nearly impossible to build this palaces as close as I can ( and as sims 4 allow😅)!!
Thanks to all!!!
Now let’s start our exclusive tour through HIM Tsarina Alexandra Private Apartments, hope you enjoy the tour as much as I’m loving building this Palace :)
Her Imperial Majesty, Tsarina Alexandra Simnov of Simpire, welcomes you into her Private apartments on the official residence of Simpire, the grand Sims Petersburg Imperial Palace. Since Her Imperial Majesty is not in residence, for she is visiting Her sister-in-law, HIH Grand Duchess Anastasia Duchess of  Oldenburg, a special permission for our so requested tour of HIM Private Apartments in the Piano Nobile, was finally granted. ( just finished them 😅)
Arriving at the Imperial Palace from the Grand Palace Square, we find it’s main formal façade. HIM’s Private apartments face the grand square and the private garden of the palace and is located in its southwestern block
As we head to the southwestern block of the palace and climb through one of the ramps, we find HIM private entrance, this entrance leads directly to the private apartments of the Tsarina and is used whenever HIM arrives at the palace and wants to go directly to Her private quarters.
Tumblr media
Entering throw this doorway and turning right we find the October Staircase the grand ...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
... entrance to HIM private apartments. Restored and redecorated after great fire that destroyed the palace in 1837 the monumentality of the entrance was accentuated with sculptures and reliefs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today this room does not bear its original name and instead of HIM Grand Staircases, It was changed into October Staircase. A name chosen in memory of the revolutionary events of October 1917, when those storming the Palace entered the building by this route. The Staircase gives access to all of HIM private apartments, from the left we get access to the State Rooms of Tsarina Alexandra private apartments and from the right Her most private rooms...
Tumblr media
We will take the door of the left and start our tour through the State Rooms of Tsarina Alexandra private apartments... please follow me...
Tumblr media
The first room in our tour is HIM Own Staircase Landing a passage room that gives access, in one side, to the Hall of Cuirassiers first room of HIM State Rooms, and in the other side...
Tumblr media
... to HIM Own Corridor leading to the Small Fieldmarshal Hall, that we will visit shortly, some small rooms and a staircase... now please follow me and we will continue our tour to the...
Tumblr media
...the Hall of Cuirassiers. This hall is part of HIM state rooms and, at the same time, the first of the Military Halls. It is in this room where a Garrison of the Imperial Guard was an d is placed to protect and receive HIM (as in the last post) on formal occasions in Tsarina Private apartments.
Tumblr media
continuing with our tour, this hall leads from one side to the Military Halls and in the other side to...
Tumblr media
... the White hall. This magnificent hall was designed by Alexander Briullov in 1841 before the wedding of Grand Duke Alexander Nicholaevich (future Alexander II and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This tremendously large ceremonial hall, elegantly decorated with shades of white, is used for various celebrations and balls. The sculptural decoration of this hall designed for the Heir to the throne, and his wife, became the embodiment of the future Tsar reign, calling to  mind the might and greatness of Simpire and symbolizing the flourishing of the arts...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This great hall connects manny rooms around it, from one side the Hall of Cuirassiers, the Gold Drawing Room, the Green Dining Room and HIM Private corridor. Now If you may follow me we will enter...
Tumblr media
...The Gold Drawing Room. This room redecorated by Alexander Brullov in 1841,  is notable for the opulence of its decor and its abundance of gold leaf. Ita was originally based on the Bavarian kings’ throne room in the Munich Residenz.
Tumblr media
This Drawing Room is used for receptions, dances, and dinners for guests- in this room guests who just arrived wait for the private audiences. In December the Gold Drawing Room would be decorated with Christmas trees: each member of the Imperial Family have their own personal tree, with a table nearby for presents.
Tumblr media
This magnificent Hall connects the white hall from one side, the green dinning room and the crimson Drawing room. Now let us take the door in our right and enter the...
Tumblr media
Green Dinning room. In 1840, A. Briullov designed an interior staircase between the Gold Drawing Room and the White Hall in the apartments of Empress Marie Alexandrovna on the 2nd floor of the Winter Palace. As the rooms of the Empress had no space for books, she arranged bookcases on the walls of the staircase landing.
Tumblr media
There was no dining room in the apartments of Alexander II and Empress Marie. They ate their meals with Nicholas I’s family in one of the three dining rooms in Empress Alexandra’s suite. In 1850, A. Stakenschneider demolished the staircase and created the green dining room in the rococo style we see today.
Tumblr media
There are no windows in the dining room. The three doors that led to the Gold Drawing Room, White Hall and service pantry allowed the architect to add three fake doors for symmetry. The table extends to seat the 24 chairs and is normally used for small family dinners, meetings and receptions.
Tumblr media
Let’s now return to the Gold Drawing Room and continue our visit to...
Tumblr media
... the Crimson Drawing Room or Study. This room serves as a transition between HIM Private and State Rooms. The room was decorated by Briullov in 1841 and reworked by Stakenschneider in the 1860s.
Tumblr media
The room gets his name from the silk fabric color. The rich red color of the walls and curtains combines perfectly with the white stucco highlighted with gold leaf decorations on the ceiling. This room was, and still is, the setting for small concerts in which celebrated musicians and singers participate.
The crimson drawing room is used by HIM to receive relatives and personal guests as well as study to the Tsarina.
Tumblr media
Now if you’ll follow me into the next room...
Tumblr media
... HIM Boudoir. The boudoir was created for Tsarina Maria Alexandrovna 1841, by Briullov and lately reworked, by HIM request, in 1850′s by Harald Bosse one of the leading architects of the 19th century.
Tumblr media
Bosse produced an interior in the Rococo revival style in white, gold and Red and with a alcove is framed by a rich and elaborately shaped arch with caryatids.
Tumblr media
This room is used by the Tsarina to entertain family meetings and some more close friends.
Tumblr media
Following the tour, the next room we will enter is...
Tumblr media
... HIM Tsarina Alexandra’s Bedroom. This bedroom was created for HIM Tsarina Maria Alexandrovna by Briullov In 1840.
The deep blue color of the walls contrast perfectly with  the white and gold exquisites arabesques of the vaulted ceiling, pilasters and columns.
Tumblr media
The interior of this room gets a sense of dynamism from the combination of the coved  vaulted ceiling, over the main part, and cross vaulting above the sleeping area. The cubicle marked by a pair of columns and silk drapes to enclose the bed area. Although a part of HIM Tsarina Alexandra Apartments the Bedroom is used by both sovereigns.
Tumblr media
TIM’s Bedroom gives access to, from one side, HIM bathroom and, in the other, the more modern and private rooms. Let’s follow our tour to the...
Tumblr media
... HIM Bathroom. After the revolution and the transformation of the palace to a museum this bathroom was destroyed. After the restoration of the Imperial Regime, Their Imperial Majesties started the reconstruction process of the main apartments as they were. This bathroom was made to resemble the one Marie Alexandrovna had in this same room, but with the modern amenities.  Let us continue our tour to the...
Tumblr media
... HIM Dressing room.  Briullov in 1841, decorated the dressing room all in pink; draped walls in pink fabric, curtains, upholstery, bed covers. The door on the left of Marie’s dressing room led to Alexander’s library and on the right to her bathroom and bedroom.
Tumblr media
But, in 1845, Briullov redecorated the dressing room in dark blue using silk damask on the walls. He added the frieze along the top of the walls that incorporated Drollinger’s paintings of Peterhof, i.e. the Farm Palace, Gothic Chapel, etc., that are still to be seen today.
A small door hidden behind the screen on the right led to the staircase to the 1st floor children’s nurseries.
Tumblr media
This room connects HIM’s apartments with HIM the Tsar apartments and to the Small Fieldmarshal Hal.
We will continue our tour of the palace through the door in the back, the one that connects HIM dressing room to...
Tumblr media
... the Small Fieldmarshal Hal...
Tumblr media
...it is in this hall where a garrison of the Imperial Guard is placed to protect HIM’s bedroom. Here we can find portraits famous of Simpire rulers and today this Hall is used for small receptions, private concerts, meetings, dinners and larger events for the 1st Spare apartment.
Tumblr media
This Hall connects Her Imperial Majesty’s private apartments, the Dark Corridor, the  1st Spare apartment and HIM Own Corridor leading to the October staircase.
Tumblr media
Now let’s see HIM’s most modern additions to the palace, Her private and most daily used rooms...Passing through HIM Own Corridor...
Tumblr media
....HIM Own Staircase Landing...
Tumblr media
...The October Staircase and pass throng the right side door this time into...
Tumblr media
... HIM Private Corridor. This corridor links the October staircase to HIM Modern Dining room, Modern drawing room, the Green Dinning room and the White Hall... for this corridor a contract between classic and modern was chosen... let's  continue to the...
Tumblr media
... Modern Dinning room...
Tumblr media
... since the revolution and the later palace conversion into a museum, many room where simplified and lost their royal appearance, a fact that allowed the current monarchs to leave their mark in the palace. In these 3 rooms her majesty decided to use dark wall colors to contrast with the rest of the rooms in her apartments and decorated with a collection of modern and contemporary art.
Tumblr media
With the intention of representing the best of Simpire artists on the Imperial collection, and being a well known patron of the arts, His Imperial Majesty Tsar Nicholas III Simnov decided to invite all of them to paint the vaulted ceilings, walls and other objects in some of the palace rooms.
In HIM’s Modern Dinning  the artist invited was the well known painting МАКСИМ КАНТОР.
Following the tour we will enter...
Tumblr media
... HIM modern Drawing room....
Tumblr media
Here a dark grey wall color and modern furniture was chosen to contrast with the new striking red vaulted ceiling...
Tumblr media
... for this room His Imperial Majesty chose the famous painter Vitaly Komar... this set of modern rooms connect directly to...
Tumblr media
HIM Tsarina Alexandra bedroom... Now, I’m sorry but we have to leave the apartments... just got the information that Her Imperial Majesty’s car is arriving at the square... having already seen all the rooms in our tour, please follow me as we exit through the Palace inner courtyard...
Tumblr media

"It’s skew.”
“Come and straighten it, then.”
“I’m spotting, you’re hanging.”
Gerry growls at him. Jon looks rather pleased about it.
Martin, who doesn’t want Gerry to hit their infuriating lover with a hammer, goes over to where he’s hanging the massive painting and tilts it minutely to the left. “Better?”
“Perfect!” Jon pronounces, clapping his hands.
Through some sort of witchcraft, the artist has hung the painting in such a position that it emulates where a window would be in a traditional room. It opens up the space in such a way that it seems less like a store room, and far more like a creative space that someone would actually enjoy spending time in.
The lightning helps too, warm light filtering from the ceiling and corner lamps, and LCD strips illuminating the bookshelves from inside.
All in all, considering this was a utilitarian storage space just a few weeks ago, it seems like a downright miracle.
The three of them lean back against Jon's desk, free of clutter for the first and only time in its life. The bookshelves are empty, and except for his new painting, so are the walls.
The piano occupies one wall, and Gerry hopes to hear it being played often.
Jon reaches out and takes Gerry's hand, drawing them close together affectionately. "How long have you been planning for us to move in?"
"Well, I wasn't planning, per se. Only considering the possibility." Gerry smirks confidently. "I know we're all a little bizarre, but this is the course of most relationships, and we could only spend so much time sleeping over before paying for three flats became superfluous."
"Besides," Martin continues for him. "There's no harm in planning for something you hope will happen eventually. Especially when your new flatmates will be this wildly good looking."
He gestures to himself dramatically, doing a small turn in place. Gerry and Jon laugh with him happily, until he stumbles back into Gerry's side, where he gets wrapped up under an arm.
"So do you like your new space, Jon?" Gerry cuddles around him, twisting the three of them into an odd sort of snuggle pretzel.
"I absolutely adore it." Jon utters happily, sighing in contentment as they all lean there together.
***
At the end of June, Jon hands over his keys and the three of them officially live together.
There's still a lot of settling to be done, even though they've been moving in together for almost six weeks by that point. The boxes are unpacked, but they still need to make it a comfortable home for all of them, a certainty that comes only with time.
Martin and Jon both love their studies, a matching pair that look and feel completely opposite.
Martin opts for a small bedroom, keeping the bed from his old flat, his painting hung opposite. He finds an antique writing desk at a charity store, and installs it for writing poetry or working on his laptop in the evenings.
He adorns the walls with pictures and posters, and random pieces of poetry and music that he loves.
It's a cozy space that he adores, even though he opts to sleep in the master bedroom almost always. The option makes him feel like he has his own breathing room, even if he rarely needs it.
Jon's is more of a true study, with a large desk taking up the majority of the space. His walls are lined with shelves, and he promptly fills them with books and knickknacks. The odd collection includes first edition classics, next to mass market paperbacks and music books, with non-fiction nature and animal books scattered throughout. These are interwoven with seashells, tiny mechanical statues and several flowers preserved in resin, gifts from Martin throughout their relationship.
On the wall above the piano, he hangs framed photos of his parents, himself with Gerry as a teen, and all three of them together as adults. The photo he once took of Martin, Gerry and Tim hangs right in the centre, all his favorite humans in one frame. He hangs the sketch of him and Martin in the park from when they were all courting, as well as the others he has stolen from Gerry over time.
Gerry embraces the chaos and upheaval as if it's all he ever wanted, and really, it is. A home, with the people he loves, noisy and frenetic, loving and comfortable.
In the middle of July, he quits his job at the bar in the middle of a shift, with very little contemplation or preamble.
He smiles at his lovers radiantly when he comes through the door several hours early to find them watching a movie.
"What happened?" Martin queries, clear concern lining his expressive face.
"I quit." Gerry flops down between them, snuggling down immediately.
"But why?" Presses a sleepy Jon, trying to hide a yawn behind his hand.
Gerry shrugs. "I got the job because I was bored, essentially. I wanted to interact with interesting people and I didn't know anyone in London anymore. But tonight I realized how badly I wanted to be right here, with you two." He smiles at them, trying to explain without conveying too many of his sappy emotions. "l honestly couldn't think of one reason to be working at midnight on a Saturday, instead of at home, or out on a date, or literally anything else we could be doing together. So I quit."
"Oh Gerry." Jon whispers, both of them carefully tuned to his moods, regardless of his attempts at seeming unconcerned.
"I don't feel the need to fill my time and chase inspiration anymore. I just want to be with you. Both of you." He kisses first Martin's hand, then Jon's, grinning at them all the way.
"I love you. I'm happy you're home." Jon whispers to him, sleepy and content.
Martin hums an agreement, squeezing his hand and smiling down at him lovingly.
They watch their movie and then go to bed all together, and Gerry knows he's made the best choice of his life.
***
Gerry finds himself with an odd amount of time on his hands while his partners go to work during the day, like normal people.
He decides to take on several art commissions from clients he's actually interested in working for, which thrills Gertrude. He doesn't think it entirely makes up for his boyfriend hitting Peter Lukas in the middle of a showcase, but it's a start.
He also indulges himself and buys a new tattoo machine.
He's not really interested in taking clients again, but… well, he wants it and so he gets it. If it's only to use on himself or the occasional visitor, then that's fine by him.
"You have everything you need to give tattoos now, right?" Martin asks him one early morning.
Gerry is still mostly asleep, clutching a cup of tea and petting Saturn where he perches on his lap. He blinks at Martin, confused.
"I think so. I mean, I haven't used my machine yet, but there's really only one way to test it out." Gerry tilts his head curiously, sunlight glittering in his hair, dyed back to its original black. "Why do you ask?"
"Do you want to give me one?" Martin grins at him a bit shyly.
Gerry sits up straight, instantly wide awake. "Yes. So much."
Martin laughs warmly. "You have the same look on your face that Luna gets when we take out the catnip toys."
Uncaring about how eager he might look, Gerry shoos Saturn to go over and kneel by Martin. "I would be honored to have your tattoo virginity. Do you want me to draw something?"
"Yes," Martin tells him with a grin, "that's exactly what I want. A Gerry Delano original, right on my skin."
"What do you want it to be?" Gerry's teal eyes are bright and slightly manic, and Martin glories in the sensation of producing a new reaction in his lover.
"It's entirely up to you." He responds, pressing a firm kiss to Gerry's mouth. "I want to see what makes you think of me."
"Oh, I like it." He declares, jumping up and going off to find a sketchbook.
Martin sips his tea and smiles to himself, very pleased indeed.
***
"You're just going to let him give you whatever he wants to?" Jon blanches when Martin tells him.
"Relax Jon, it's Gerry, not some evil mastermind. He'll draw something I like. And if I don't, it's not hard, I just tell him no."
Jon, who rather considers that Gerry is an evil mastermind, does not look convinced. "But…"
"Hush, love." Martin tells him firmly.
Gerry, drawing under the window nearby, takes no notice of them. He has a focused frown on his face as he concentrates on the careful lines appearing on his page.
Martin considers it a rare pleasure to just watch him draw, and tries to guess what might be forming on the page before him.
He completely trusts that Gerry knows him exactly well enough to draw him the perfect tattoo. And then he can have his own piece of Gerry, inked right into his skin.
When he sits back down with Jon and Martin a little later, he has a smudge of charcoal above his eyebrow, and Martin gently rubs it away before Gerry has a chance to start talking. He blushes quite uncharacteristically, and Martin knows it means he's been swirling in the frantic rush of his own creativity.
"So I have a proposal for you." Gerry starts, body humming with excitement. "A tattoo in two parts, if you will."
"Yeah?" Martin encourages him, just as interested.
Gerry collects Martin's hand in both of his own, running a thumb over a spot on his wrist. It's the same place that Jon has his own tattoo, which immediately makes Martin pleased. "A small crescent moon, right here. The placement to match with Jon, the symbol for Luna."
Gerry pushes a scrap of paper forward, an elegant crescent moon filling space.
"For the other…" Gerry turns over the larger page, handing it to Martin.
There's an immeasurable beat of silence as Martin contemplates the design before him. A set of waxing and waning moons, connected by a series of dots, lines and more dots making a background of geometric shapes.
He… feels it. He understands now, what Jon had meant, when he described seeing the inspiration for his own tattoo for the first time. It's a representation of some inner part of himself, normally hidden from the world, but carefully unearthed for his lovers, over the course of many months and endless intimacy.
"Martin?" Gerry entreats, leaning minutely closer to him.
"I love it." He whispers, pulling the goth over to kiss him fiercely. They tangle together pleasantly, for several moments, everything else falling away as they get absorbed in each other.
"Not that anyone asked me, but I like it as well." Jon informs them pertly.
"Your opinion is as important to us as ever, baby." Gerry replies, grinning proudly. He turns back to Martin. "Where do you want it?"
Martin considers for a moment, before getting up and pulling off his shirt and jumper, leaving himself bare from the waist up. He still feels a small pang of shyness to be naked in any way, but confidence born of time and perspective drown most of it away now.
He and Gerry stand facing each other. Martin lifts the other man's hand, placing it on his sternum, over his softly pounding heart.
"Right here?" Gerry asks, voice soft.
"Right here." Martin affirms.
***
In the end, Gerry takes them over to Melanie's tattoo shop to work on Martin. He lists a number of reasons, but really, he finds a certain amount of comfort working under the stark lights and amid the buzzing of other machines.
They do the small tattoo first, and Martin sits for it exceptionally well.
Before Gerry starts the sternum piece, an endeavor of several hours, Georgie arrives and drags Jon off to drink coffee and catch up in a nearby coffee shop. Melanie goes into the next room to take another client, and Gerry and Martin are left alone together.
"Ready, love?" Gerry asks as he finishes placing the stencil, bisecting his chest.
"I'm nervous," Martin confesses softly.
Gerry doesn't move his gloved hands, not wanting to contaminate them, but he does press their foreheads together gently, taking a moment to sooth Martin with his companionship.
"Do you want to take a break? You can just sit with the stencil for a while." Gerry leans forward and places a swift kiss on Martin's nose, before retreating from his personal space.
"No, I'm ready." He smiles, biting his lip a little. "I just- I feel like this is a big moment, you know?"
"It is. You're embracing who you really are." Gerry runs a finger along one of Martin's chest scars, considering. "You're choosing to love yourself instead of just tolerating him."
"How can you always tell?" Martin whispers the words, voice heavy with emotion. "How can you put things into words like that, so simply."
"I know you. You think I don't see when you avoid looking in the mirror. You hope I don't notice that you used to hate being naked, even with Jon and I." Gerry pauses, tripping Martin's head up with the tip of a finger, minimizing contact still. "But I see you, Martin. I love you just the way you are. And I want you to love yourself just the same. I'll tell you everyday, show you constantly, if I need to."
Martin is crying for real now, tears streaming down his face. Gerry abandons his sterility, pulling Martin into his arms. He rocks his lover gently, and they are just together for a moment, no need to rush, no distractions. Just them, and the comfort they find in each other.
"I love you too." Martin tells him simply, when they pull apart.
"Good," Gerry grins, kissing him thoroughly, the taste of salty tears on his lips. He stands, pulling off his ruined gloves and going to wash his hands again.
Martin takes a sip of the tea Jon made him before he left, smiling because Jon always makes it with a little more sugar than he allows himself. "I'm ready."
When Jon returns, they're just finished up, the last few moments of buzzing filling the air. He watches them together, artist and canvas, and loves them fiercely.
"How was coffee with Georgie?" Martin queries, taking his offered hand.
Jon relays the details as Gerry finishes, and then cleans up.
Jon and Gerry stand on either side of Martin in the mirror as he looks at it for the first time. Martin nods wildly, when Jon asks if he likes it, and they hug him from either side as he sheds a few more tears.
Jon had once thought that tattoos seemed very boring in comparison to Gerry's normal work, but seeing the design come alive on Martin's skin, full of feeling and depth, he can't help but think of it as the best thing his lover has ever done. Gerry can't help but agree.
"Let's go to the park!" Martin exclaims as they leave, after saying their goodbyes to Georgie and Melanie.
"The park?" Jon asks, laughing. "It's so windy."
"I don't care, I want to feed the ducks and eat ice cream with my boyfriends." He insists, giddy with happiness and adrenaline.
"Okay, but you're picking the flavours this time." Gerry says, taking one of Martin's hands. Jon takes the other.
"Deal."
***
Jon and Gerry find themselves watching Martin once again feed ducks as they sit beneath a tree, more than a year after the very first time.
"Why don't we come to the park more often?" Jon asks from where he reclines between Gerry's long legs.
His arms snake around his waist, and Jon feels very content and comfortable, despite the cutting wind.
"Because," Gerry kisses under an ear softly, "we live in England and it rains more than 100 days a year."
"He looks so happy here." They watch as Martin stoops to offer a piece of bread to a curious toddler. The child is inordinately pleased, and her mother watches on gratefully from nearby as they feed the rowdy birds together.
"Are you happy?" Gerry asks him, unexpectedly serious. "With your life, with me?"
"Gerry! Of course I'm happy with you." Jon sits up, turning in the tangle of Gerry's limbs to face him.
"I'm only checking on you." He runs a gentle finger down Jon's face, then cups his cheek affectionately. "I know how much stress work puts you under and I hate that for you."
Jon looks away from his intent gaze, fiddling with his fingers nervously. "Well, yeah. My job sucks. The worst part is, I love being a librarian! Being surrounded by books, helping people choose something to read or guiding them with their research. But that's so little of my job now, and Elias just finds new and interesting ways to put pressure on me. But I'm not qualified and I know I probably won't get another job in a library, especially not without a glowing recommendation from Elias-"
"And we both know that's never going to happen." Gerry finishes for him.
Jon nods and they just sit together a moment. Gerry lifts one of his hands and kisses each of his fingers and then his palm, until Jon blushes and smiles at him.
"I know you think it's annoying, so you keep your feelings about work inside, a lot of the time. I don't want you to do that anymore, okay? If you have a terrible job, then we all carry that."
"But-"
"Nope, no buts. We are all partners. That means more then dinner dates and living together and sex."
"And punching rich fuckers who hurt our Martin."
Gerry laughs, still reveling in Jon's unexpected protectiveness- and the violent manifestation of it. "Yes, that too. There will be other jobs, for all of us, probably. But our relationship, the three of us. We're forever."
"Like those tattoos that you gave Martin today?" Jon asks, pert glint in his eye.
"Yes, much like that." He smirks brazenly back. "And the one I gave you, and the ones I've given myself, over the years."
Gerry continues, squeezing Jon's hand, "I know that the idea of not being able to provide for yourself scares you, but we're in this together now. You don't have to cling to a job that you hate in case you're left without one at all."
"I-" Jon looks away, uncomfortable to be so well understood. Gerry stits with him, energy easy between them, just holding his hand, loving and supportive.
"I have been considering, that is, maybe becoming a school teacher." The confession is halting, and he offers it with a small shy smile.
"I think that's a wonderful idea." Gerry responds, gentle encouragement colouring his voice.
"I would probably have to go back to school for a year. Get a post-grad in Education. I wouldn't be working for most of that time, and my savings will only go so far, even without having to pay rent." Jon whispers, as if the words will be any less offensive to him if they are quiet.
"You know I can float you, especially for just a year. And Martin too."
"It just doesn't seem fair to burden you with that."
"It's not a burden, it's a part of life. You think you're so old, that you should be settled, but you're barely 30, Jon. You still have time to make new life choices occasionally, and the point of being in a relationship is that you let us support you every now and then." Gerry is earnest and focused, and Jon can't help but believe him, long fingers cupping his face and teal eyes holding his gaze.
Martin arrives then, plonking down next to Jon and giving him a sloppy kiss on the cheek.
"What are we talking about then? Such serious faces."
Gerry nudges Jon, who haltingly offers Martin the same idea he told Gerry.
“Oh, I think that’s a great idea.” He says, eyes alight. “Like, high schoolers, right?”
“Yes, of course. Anyone under 10 is an alien and I don’t want to hear any arguments.”
They laugh at him, their contentment surrounding him warmly.
"You don't have to quit right away." Martin offers. "There are plenty of part time degree programs, and you have to apply first. It all takes time."
"You seem pretty clued up about it." Jon observes, narrowing his eyes at Martin suspiciously.
"Well, if you must know. I've been thinking about getting a business degree."
"Oh my God! Martin, how is this the first we're hearing about this?" Gerry demands, sitting up straight.
"I didn't want it to be a thing until I was sure, and the move was over." He confesses, "It's gonna take a lot of my free time and I wanted to discuss that with you both carefully."
"I'm gonna be living with two thirty year old students." Gerry mutters, shocked. He leans back against the tree again, running his fingers through his long hair.
"I haven't agreed yet-" Jon starts.
Martin speaks up at the same time. "You could get a degree too. We could all be students together."
"No, but thanks anyway." Gerry shudders, grimacing. He perks right back up. "I'll be your sexy study partner though."
"Gerard!" Jon cries, scandalised.
Gerry shakes his head. "As if I've never felt you up while you were trying to study for a test."
"Exactly!" Even Jon struggles to keep up his prim expression at that, and they tumble into pleasant laughter together.
"So," Martin hazards, "are we gonna do this?"
"Well, if you're going to. I suppose we should both get it done at the same time." Jon responds, still hesitant but clearly warming to the idea. "You're really okay with this, Gerry?"
Gerry beams at them both, a soft, special look in his eyes. "I'm more than okay with anything you want to do with your lives. In case you haven't noticed, I'm really very fond of you both."
Jon leans forward in the circle of Gerry's legs, pressing their lips together in a gentle kiss, before turning back to lay against his chest.
Martin shifts around to lean into his side, and Gerry tucks one arm around him, the other around Jon. Jon reaches out to take one of Martin's hands, and the three of them sit wrapped up together.
As ever, their own mutual magnetism draws them forever closer and closer, binding them to one another in an inexplicable tangle of love and affection.
"Do you think it will always be like this, between us?" Martin whispers gently, as the sun begins to set and the landscape sets ablaze before them.
"Probably not," Jon responds, voice warm and content. "Life will keep shifting like a tide, and we'll move with it, but the great thing about us is- we're moored together. Nothing can keep us apart, because what we have is stronger than whatever shifts and eddies might try to take us away."
"The gravity between us is fiercer than any storm, any disaster that might try to shake us." Gerry picks up Jon's train of thought, pulling them both minutely closer.
"Good," Martin says simply, fiercely in love and the happiest he's ever felt.
They watch the sun as it drops below the horizon, sometimes quiet and occasionally sharing some errant thought or another.
They eat ice cream on the way home, holding hands and laughing.
It's warm, and soft and peaceful.
And they're all, finally, home.

After taking my sweet time in viewing The Crown - Season 3, I gathered all my excitement and creative energy (do I really now?) to continue my ambitious project - The Sims 4 version of Buckingham Palace. Again, limitations in the game mean that I couldn’t pull it off 100% but I’m still happy and excited to share to you one of my projects that is closest to my heart.
Have I mentioned before that this has been a project years in the making? Yes, it started from The Sims 3 - which ran the course of its life without me completing this. Then, in TS4 I had multiple revisions (sometimes being a perfectionist does have its pros and cons).
This project wouldn’t have been possible without countless searches on Pinterest and stalker-ish searching online for photographs of the rooms (No, I haven’t been to Buckingham Palace).
Now, let me give you a tour around Buckingham Palace - à la The Sims 4 style!
Tumblr media
For a very special guest like you, we pass through the main archway and here I give you a glimpse of the West Wing portico. (My Sim Royal Family isn’t in residence right now - which means we have all access! Yay!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, we enter through the Grand Entrance. According to historians, this area was ‘sunken’ to give that high ceiling effect. Before the Buckingham Palace became this grand home to Her Majesty, it started out as a small house bought by George III for Queen Charlotte.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before we go to the Principal Floor, let us see the rooms on the Ground Floor. Here, we have the Marble Hall. At the end, you can see the foot of the Ambassador’s Staircase. (I tried to fully recreate the Marble Hall by recoloring @thejim07 portraits with the actual portraits care of the Royal Collection Trust website.)
Tumblr media
We are now in the Bow Room. If Her Majesty, The Queen hosts garden parties, we go exit through this room and proceed to the Palace Gardens but unfortunately, the next garden party will be scheduled next year. Maybe we’ll invite you by then?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From the Bow Room, we proceed to The 1844 Room. This is where The Queen usually receives distinguished guests (https://www.vogue.com/article/1844-room-buckingham-palace).
Tumblr media
If we go farther, we can reach the Belgian Suite. Her Majesty’s guests stay in this Suite. Some of the distinguished guests that stayed here were the Obamas for their state visit (This is actually my own interpretation of it, there seems to be no photos of it online.).
Tumblr media
Now, if we just go back to The Bow Room, we can access The 1855 Room opposite The 1844 Room.
Hope you’re excited now, we’ll be going up. Kindly follow me to The Grand Staircase.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, it’s not as grand as it looks now but at least the portraits are faithful representations, eh? Now, may I direct your attention to the next room in the tour?
Tumblr media
We are now in the Green Drawing Room. You may take a look at the view outside by the Portico if you wish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shall we move on to the next room?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the Throne Room. Official functions are held at the Grand Ballroom (of which, is absent in this build due to space limitations) though official photographs of events are usually taken here. The portrait on the left side is a portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II with Willow, Vulcan, Candy and Holly commissioned by the Royal Mail Group last 2013.
Tumblr media
We are now in the Picture Gallery. On display are (supposedly) The Queen’s collection of Italian, Dutch and Flemish works from around the 17th-century.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, we’re here at the White Drawing Room; quite famous of the State Rooms and well-known if you ask me. You can see the portrait of Queen Alexandra hung above the fireplace. This room is usually used for small gatherings and audiences. HM The Queen usually does her Christmas Message in this room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next stop is the Music Room. During summers when the Palace is open to the public, collections, such as the Queen’s dresses, are displayed here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Blue Drawing Room. You can see portraits of Queen Mary and King George V. Did you know that the architect who was tasked to redesign Buckingham Palace went over budget?
Tumblr media
...and we have the State Dining Room. Again, this is usually reserved for small gatherings since State Banquets are done at The Grand Ballroom.
Now, I’ll be giving you an extra tour of the palace. HM has extended her warmest regards to you, our very special guest.
Tumblr media
Maybe she’s waiting for you at the Private Audience Chamber? Oh, she’s out but feel free to look around instead. (I tried to copy this room from photographs the Queen has with dignitaries - well, this is the most dignified recreation I can make.)
Tumblr media
Now, we’ll be passing through the Principal Corridor. We’re already at the East Wing and I’ll be showing you the Balcony Room.
Tumblr media
We’re now in the Balcony Room. This is where the Royal Family gathers before they go out the Balcony and wave at the British (Sims?) people during great events - and no, you may not go out on the Balcony as protocols permit only the Queen and members of the Royal Family.
Tumblr media
On the South end of the East Wing, you can find the Yellow Drawing Room. Yes, this place has a lot of sitting rooms.
Tumblr media
On the North end of the East Wing, we have the Chinese Dining Room. The Chinese collection came from the Brighton Pavilion when Queen Victoria commissioned the construction of the East Wing of Buckingham Palace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since we’re already on the North Facade, how about a tour in the Queen’s Private Apartments? (Old paintings show a predominantly green room dated to Queen Victoria’s time.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the last part of the tour, the Private Apartments of the members of the Royal Family. (This was heavily inspired by The Crown - Season 3).
It was very wonderful having you around and I hope you had a great time with us. On behalf of HM The Queen, I would like to extend her warmest gratitude for your time. We hope to have you again soon!
...and that ends our tour! I hope I didn’t post a very long one but I hope you all understand how excited I am to share this to you all. Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the creative works and efforts of the following The Sims 4 CC creators:
@felixandresims most of the royal build-buy content, @harrie-cc for her traditional re-colors, @thejim07 for the artworks, sculptures, and to Leader Belgraves’ TS3 to TS4 Asian Objects c/o @simshistoricalfinds (and if there is someone I failed to mention, please send me a message so that I can acknowledge you)
I also dedicate this post to HM Queen Elizabeth II - for being an inspirational figure; to all royalty simblrs out there... and to those who are waiting for their creative juices to complete their WIPs :)

Case #0162406: Fear Factor
Case #0162407. Statement of Katherine Brown, regarding her experience in a Fear Factory. Statement taken direct from subject by Jonathan Sims, head archivist of the Magnus Institute, London. In your own time, Ms. Brown.
Please, it’s just Katherine. Did you have any trouble getting here? I’ve been told it’s quite hidden away. And I’m sorry again to ask you to come here but, as you can see, there’s really no chance of being able to pop down to London for a little day trip.
No, Ms. Katherine, it was no trouble. From what I’ve heard from the papers you have quite a story to tell.
Oh...you read about me? I was really hoping you wouldn’t. I didn’t want you to think I was crazy before hearing my story. I get why they think I am; I get why I’m here. But I know what happened, I know I’m not--
Ms. Katherine, please. I’m not here to pass judgement on your condition, just to take your statement. Now... In your own time.
Yes. Yes, of course...
I’ve always been a bit of an adrenaline junkie. When I was a kid, my friends and I would do anything we could. We were kids in the middle of nowhere, so it was mostly shoplifting and riding our bikes down big hills really fast, just to feel that heart-pounding rush of fear and success of survival. Our favorite thing to do, though, was go to haunted houses. From September through to Halloween, we would go to any haunted house attraction we could find and scream ourselves silly. As we got older, it became a more complex game. How long could we last, who would scream the least or the loudest, just kid stuff. Most of us grew out of it eventually, those sorts of attractions only get so scary. Rachel and I, though, we couldn’t get enough of it. We started finding weirder and weirder places to scratch that itch, that need to be terrified. As soon as she had turned 18, being a month and a half younger than me, we had signed up to go to our first touchable house. Typically, haunted houses have a no-touching-the-patrons rule, so the ones that don’t offer that safety were alluring to us.
It sort of escalated from there, really. In America, there was a guy who had haunted houses so terrifying that you had to sign waivers and take a psych exam to go through. I’ve read all sorts of stories about them locking people in cages, cutting their hair, feeding them all sorts of things. All completely consensual, of course, a whole new level of terror attractions. It was shut down, I think, but that was the kind of scare we wanted. To go through something like that, and come out alive? We wanted to feel invincible, immortal.
Three years ago, I think, Rachel was in this forum, looking for some attractions that would be open in September. The weirder they are, the more likely they were to be open year-round, because Halloween wasn't the point. She found a really buried ad for one called Fear Factory. I think the ad labeled it as “an immersive experience sure to scare the life out of you.” There weren't any reviews on it at first, which was initially a red flag, but with some digging, we saw it was new.  Like, opened-its-doors-a-month-ago new. They seemed to be legit, their website boasted of other locations in America and Canada, but reviews seemed to be locked behind a password, so the experience wasn’t spoiled for first timers. Rachel put us on the waiting list. We were both freshly 21, feeling unstoppable, and weren’t really thinking about the risks.
A week or so later, we both got an email, claiming our application had been accepted and we were being offered an experience at the Fear Factory next Friday. We both eagerly accepted, and they sent us an address of where to go. We looked it up; an old office complex, rundown, but that fit the aesthetic of something like this pretty well. They had us fill out some detailed surveys, asking about fears, hard limits, and random things, like our relationship to each other, where we went to school, our interests.
We drove together to the complex, parking outside the building, and taking time to do our due diligence. We both texted Peter, a schoolmate of ours, gave him the address of the place, and a time to check in with us. Some of these more complicated scenarios take a while, and it was already 9 in the evening, so we told him to call us at 2 a.m. to check that we were okay.
As we were both on our phones, we heard a woman clear her throat. She was tall, wearing a black jacket and jeans, and her sunglasses reflected the streetlamps off the lenses. She introduced herself as Mara and said she would take us to the “beginning of the end.” We laughed at that, elbowing each other over being scared. She took us up a few flights of stairs, before rapping a fingerless-gloved hand on the door of the third floor’s landing. She told Rachel to go in and someone would meet her there. I squeezed her hand twice before she left. I wish I had something, told her that I loved her, that I’d see her later, something.
She brought me to the sixth floor and showed me into a small room. There was a small chair, but the room was completely empty other than that. It smelled sickly sweet, like something rotting. Mara let me in and handed me a strip of black cloth. A blindfold. I sat in the chair and tied it, knotting it carefully beneath my ponytail. She told me to count to 100, take the blindfold off, and the game would begin. As she closed the door, something I couldn’t quite call music began to play. It was high pitched and resonant, almost like an echo of laughter layered over itself.
I began to count, feeling like a kid as I added an unspoken “one hundred” underneath to make sure I wasn’t counting too fast or to slow. As I reached one hundred, the creeping music stopped. I took off the blindfold and blinked to adjust to what I now found myself in: oppressively cold darkness. I stood and extended my hand, slowly making my forward to where I knew the door to be. The intense feeling of fear began to creep over me, and I felt an irresistible smile spread across my face. I found what must be the handle to the door and twisted it. I shut my eyes tight against the harsh white light that filled my field of view. I blinked and adjusted to the light of the stairwell gradually, feeling a wave of nausea wash over me. My vision pitched suddenly, the frame of the door bulging impossibly, twisting into what seemed like a smile. I inhaled sharply, like filling my lungs would catch my balance.
The sharp descending of the stairs twisted in front of me, my vision still swirling; it would take too long to take the time to carefully step down each without falling. I had to get to the fourth floor. I could escape there. Without really thinking about what I was doing, I leapt, hand on the railing, clearing the full set of steps as my anchored hand guided me down safely. The door for the fifth floor was in front of me, a dull pale metal, but I knew it wouldn’t be safe there. I repeated the process again, using the rail as a track for my hand as I jumped from the fifth floor landing to the fourth, the door with the 4 emblazoned in in black paint rising before me like the pearly gates. I would be safe there. I would be safe there.
I thrust open the door and found myself in the middle of a hallway. The floor was a murky pink and brown laminate, and the white ceiling low. There were no windows. Both ends of the hallway seem to split into two passages. Panic rose in my chest; they were coming. I had to go. I picked blindly, turning left, and running full tilt down the hall. Almost as soon as I had started running, I saw figures turn the corner. Their forms shed no shadows, a part of me registered, but it carried no weight as the bald, rotting, decrepit bodies sprinted towards me, ragged nails and broken teeth glinting in the light of the hallway. They leapt at me, biting and scratching. I’m sure I cried out as one took a chunk of flesh from my hand, but the blood pumping in my ears drowned out most sounds. I don’t know how I fought them off, honestly, adrenaline was overpowering all other senses. I continued running down the hallway.
There was a door. It was identical to the doors that had been in the stairwell, the cold brushed metal distorting reflections. It was only then, seeing a vague version of myself staring back at me that I realized I was no longer feeling that swirling dizziness. Relieved, I opened the door. I wasn’t entirely sure what I am expecting but it certainly wasn’t my dormitory. The tall bedframe, the simple desk, the wardrobe with the mirror hanging over the front of it. It was the mirror, of all things, that beckoned me. I let the door fall shut behind me as I took the few steps to cross the room and stare at myself. There was blood streaked across my face, and it dripped from my hands, which I realized with a start were still curled into tight fists. I had been wearing overalls over a sweater, but the front hung off me like a wilted petal, a snap apparently broken off during my previous encounter. I was a mess. I was dirty. I needed to change.
As soon as that thought had entered my head, I was already peeling off the destroyed overalls, all other thoughts set aside. I should have known it wasn’t over, that fighting a couple zombie-like creatures wouldn’t have been enough. It was too warm in this room, too sterile to be my dorm. But none of those concerns crossed my mind as I opened the creaky wooden door to the wardrobe, where I knew a fresh pair of jeans would be. And there were, I suppose. But opening the door had seemed to interrupt the new occupants of my closet, a massive hive of wasps that had built a nest along the swinging corner of the door and the small magnet that held the door closed. I had effectively torn the nest in two, and my error was not easily forgiven. I did hear myself scream this time as furious insects swarmed me, sharp stings lighting up my body like a thousand electric shocks. I staggered and backed into the wall, hands pressed over my eyes, too instinctively concerned for my sight to try to swipe at the wasps that flooded my senses. My scream didn’t last long, as my open mouth encouraged some stings to my tongue as well, and I gritted my teeth shut, heaving panicked breaths. I wasn’t sure how long I was there, pressed into the corner opposite the wardrobe, until gradually I realized that the stinging over my body was the throbbing of the previous wounds, not the inflicting of new ones. Tentatively uncovering my eyes, I surveyed the room. I was grateful to discover I must have knocked the mirror off its supports in my struggle, unable to comprehend what I must look like now, more histamine than human. I crept forward, avoiding the broken glass, except for a brief pause to stoop and gingerly grab a hefty shard. If there more of those undead bodies, I wanted to be ready. I also saw that the wasp’s nest was gone somehow. The compartment was devoid of the rolls of papery hive and any evidence the wasps had existed besides my aching body was gone. I was relieved and quickly grabbed the first pair of jeans I could find, wincing all the while as I shook out the folds. I refused to be sore and naked for whatever was about to happen next.
As I shook out the dark denim, I watched a handful of tiny specks fall off the pants. I wish it were a lie to say I almost laughed when I saw that they were ants, marching fastidiously along the creases of, upon inspection, every pair of pants I owned. Lucky for me, I suppose, that ants had never bothered me. The bad joke, however? Brutal.
You know how they say that adrenaline and fear help you preserve memories? Flashbulb memories, they’re called. Of traumatic or significant events. Well I think that even the adrenaline that was pounding through me had its limits. I don’t remember what happened next. I must have run out into the hallway, must have tried to find my way out, but it’s all a bit of a blur. I remember something to do with my teeth and a pair of pliers, but I don’t think there’s anything there I want to remember anyways. The next thing I remember, however, is something I don’t think I can ever forget.
I was in another long hallway. Or it could have been the same hallway, I’m not sure how I would know. I saw shadows shift and contract, and a form emerged, completely enveloped in shadow. It looked like a person only in that had two arms, two legs, a torso, and a head. The hands were long, and the elbows crooked at wrong angles. The torso was slightly lopsided, like the head was too big to be supported properly. The legs were also impossibly long, and I couldn’t see feet. There was a sound, too, that was bothering me, but I couldn’t quite place it. It was like a low droning or buzzing, like it was trying to speak to me. We stood, frozen in a face-off before it lunged at me, moving at impossible speeds. I blinked and it was practically on top of me, swiping with its talons for fingers. I took some nasty swipes across my abdomen and stabbed at it with my shard of mirror. I missed once but the second time, I stabbed it where the neck and shoulder met. Shadows spilt from the wound, covering my hand in dark fog.
That was when I heard it. The buzzing sound sharpened and cleared up. I heard Rachel, crying, saying my name. I blinked and the shadow person was gone, and it was Rachel who I saw, Rachel whose blood was pooling around my hand, Rachel who I had stabbed. I dropped the mirror fragment and tried to apologize, but the words couldn’t quite leave my throat. I couldn’t bring myself to explain, apologize, or even comfort her, but the light had left her eyes soon enough and I knew I was ready to give up.
Police found me later. Apparently, we had been missing for two days. I don’t remember much of the trial, honestly, but there was never any evidence of either of us being drugged up or anything. They called it a temporary psychotic episode brought on by panic. I was put here instead, and I spend every night trying to avoid sleeping so I don’t see Rachel’s eyes, staring back at me, begging me to help. The...The wasps were real, though, I remember being treated for them in the hospital later.
Thank you, Ms. Katherine. Have... Have a good day.
Click.
This has been a frustrating one to research. One would think a story with an online internet ad would lead to something. But no, Sasha hasn’t been able to track down any sort of Fear Factory, except for some Salt Lake City haunted house, but further research didn’t lead to any connections. There’s also a band, but there’s also no connections to anyone with the name Mara. Sasha was also able to finagle her way into old text records between Rachel and Peter, and got the address, near Oxford. Martin took a trip down to take a look at it but didn’t find anything. There was, in fact, an abandoned building, and it was, the site of the homicide of Rachel Tillvale, by Katherine Brown, according to police records. The odd part, however, is that Katherine was certain that she was taken to the sixth floor of the building, and that the fourth floor was her escape. Unless Martin has become wholly incapable at his job, which...is probably not the case, there are only three floors of that building. The weird part was the basement. Ms. Brown had mentioned something but couldn’t recall it. I understand why. In the basement of the building, there was a handful of adult teeth in the utility sink.

SIMsBIOTIC´s GUIDE
It´s been quite a long time this idea came to my mind. I played around with form because I wanted to create something that includes my favourite objects as well as must-have items, practical advices on decorating and something that is a moodboard (or kind of, at least).
Finally, let me introduce you SimSbiotic´s guide.
The guide with links to the best of the best of sims 2 goodies, with tips & tricks for decorating interiors, that will be focused on interior design.
I prepared a few topics to start with but you are invited to join the party, send me ideas for moodboards, titles of main topics, what you want to see and what interests you. Also I will be happy to see pictures of your homes based on meshes from my guides, just tag your post with @kacicka777 and “simsbiotic guide”.
Summer edit
It wasn´t a big deal to choose first topic, we love summer and sea. Whether your sims bought a cute cottage on the beach or just want to bring a summer breeze to his/her home, this edit provides you with tips how to achieve a simple calming interior with beach vibe.
Let´s start!
1. CHOOSE A COLOR PALLETTE
We recommend to choose a color pallette before you start. For relaxing beach house interior the combinations of white, grey, different hues of blue or light green and colours of natural wood and sand is the best option. Just find the inspiration in the nature:
Tumblr media
2. CHOOSE MATERIALS
We usually use as much natural materials as possible. Natural wood on floors or walls, wicker and wooden furniture, baskets, pottery, soft leather, wool, linen. It´s up to you which materials you´d prefer but it should please your eyes and touch.
3. CHOOSE DECORATIONS
Pampa grass in the vase, woolen hand-made throws with tribal ornaments or morrocan pouff presents the right essence of summer house for slow living. Do you like that big painting of the sea or did you find a wicker wall decor at the market? Don´t be afraid to put them on your walls, they deserve it. On the floor, we´d opt for fluffy furs or jute runners.

One of our latest finds but already one of the favourites - poufs by Joyful girl, upholstered in original morroccan style textures by @simterieur.
Galium ceiling light
Great DIY idea! Driftwood hanging on two ceiling bulbs. Create your own light or buy one by wondymoon/paisleyavenue, @riekus13 offers even more wood options at her store. Perfect!
Hemingway chair
Another timeless design by gelina. Natural cane back combined with wood and linen seat fits perfectly for beach houses. Distributed by @marons. Try other colour options by @riekus13.
George Nelson Thin Edge Bed with rotan headboard
And finally, as a centrepiece of the bedroom, we´d choose this slim and elegant bed crowned with hand-made rotan headboard. Bed crafted by @mxms / @thepixelry, headboards available at simSbiotic store.
The second part of summer edit follows soon.
