IX Landgraab

Welcome to IX Landgraab, home of the prominent Fengs!

I purposely put the Fengs back where they were in the original City Living save file. Living next to their political rival, Peter Montgomery and his family definitely leads to some tension. Peter and Alicia were getting loud and frisky in the shower while I was play testing and Victor took the opportunity to scream at him for being so loud.

Although the wallpaper, flooring, doors, etc. match XIII Landgraab, I finally broke free of my self-imposed CC constraints because Victor and Lily would spare no expense to have their apartment furnished just the way they like. I included some Alpha CC artwork by @cowbuild and used swatches that fit the "city living" vibe.

When they're not working away in their respective offices, Victor and Lily spend most of their time dancing or smooching in the living room, enjoying cocktails and trashing on their mutual adversaries.

I also pulled a butler down from The Gallery and added in game (because one didn't auto generate to the lot when I hired one) to do all of the cooking and chores. He also has his own scantily furnished bedroom and bathroom. There's also a daily maid that comes so neither Victor nor Lily have to lift a finger.

My favorite part of this build is the atrium looking down into the living room and the large floor to ceiling windows. The view looks gorgeous in a blizzard, so I'm sure it will look even more beautiful in when the snow melts.

Hi, my fellow simmers! ♡

Today I'm sharing my 2-story apartment renovation in the Sims 4.

This Sims 4 apartment is renovated in the farmhouse industrial style and it's meant to be for a famous photographer. Hence, I included a home photo studio and a make-up station.

This is a VIII Landgraab apartment in San Myshuno (The Sims 4 City living). It has 2 bedrooms, an open concept kitchen, a dining area, and a living room. Also, it comes with 2 bathrooms, a toilet, a terrace with a pool, and with a home photo studio. It's a perfect apartment for a wealthy photographer who enjoys city living.

Today in Sims 4 home makeovers ala Wednesday Addams, we have another episode of "Which Big-Name Townie Is Mysteriously Dead Now?" It would seem that Malcolm Landgraab kicked the bucket, on his home lot this time because I found his tombstone. Nancy also just had/adopted a baby recently, and since the renovation was for a room of my choice, the top floor office became the new toddler's room. Thankfully I noticed before doing too much work, that for some reason deleting certain objects in that office clears out every stick of furniture on the second floor. Riiight, that happened in the last Dream Home Decorator playthrough... sigh. Using the moveobjects cheat fixes that, at least, and I'd saved just prior to editing the lot.

After giving Nancy's new kiddo a very red Queen Anne-ish paradise, we headed to the Harris house for two gigs. Firstly, a room for their own kiddos (which used to be the office) and for me, an exercise in one of my challenge colors: yellow. It's a hard one for me to work in, but the end result gets a thumbs-up from the aesthetic sector of my brain so we’re calling it a win. For the second reno, the next day the Harrises wanted a nursery addition. I think this might be the first time I've added on to a house, because I don't remember the original outer wall being uneditable. To take the final screenshots, I switched to the family's household and fixed up that wall so it looks nice, instead of the out-of-place paneling that was stuck there during the renovation phase. The last pic shows the outside changes to the first floor, with the nursery being the new bit closest to the camera. They wanted 22 tiles of room exactly, so that's what they got.

Everybody liked their stuffs and Wednesday got a promotion. Omnomnom, moving up in the world... and making way more money selling gifted promotional furniture that’s been coming in the mail than from her actual decorating gigs. o.O;;

Izzy is the first person up and at them at 6AM. ...what kid wakes up at 6AM? I dunno. Anyway, it was just breakfast for her before Lara woke up and took care of her plants and bees. Game was going to decide to have Izzy ask for advice but couldn’t get to Lara before Izzy had to go off to school. Anyway, today is the Lottery day! The day where people could get a very sudden windfall in the Sims 4! Anyone who can get a lotto ticket, does because it can happen. Unfortunately for me, it happened to the Bailey-Moons, of whom, don’t really needed it. Alas. Though the Villareal family and the Charm also picked it up and got much needed home renovations. It’s why the Villareals have such sprawling grounds. Anyway, it’s sunsnowing! Again! Woo! I can actually do outdoorsy things! Ahp, never mind. Work-from-home kicked in. It’s time to work...from not home because we gotta go to Foxberry to teach a class!

Class taught and now we go back home. Cameron orders his lotto ticket as well. Man, I would totally have Izzy go and make friends with kids but man, I gotta stay on lot and all the kids are off-lot at libraries or parks! And this is not the neighborhood to keep a vague eye on whom-all is wandering around. I guess a friend of Lara’s club, Dwight LeBlac will do. And then a small chat with another random lady named Misaki Yokohama. She’s a goofball. That makes two that Izzy is aware of thanks to that one dude during the GeekCon. And that presses her up to the next stage of the aspiration. We need to befriend three children and two adults. Thankfully, there are two she’s well aware in kids with Liana and Lorenzo Caliente. I can work with their friendships.

Anyway, needs management time for Izzy. I set Cameron to upgrade some last applicances I think that needed and then set him on the chess table. Because honestly, what we need is actually the logic rank 10 to finish off this aspiration. That being said, I still found more electronics for him to upgrade. The tv! Which also has some hidden channels you can only get from upgrading it! Anyway, with all of these upgrades, he reached level 10 handiness. Good for Cameron! Annnd the rest of the family woke up before he even went to bed! Whoops! So uh…

Annnd that makes it a real short post so let’s continue on! We have a little bit of time so we can have Izzy chat with Liana before school. Lara is just doing her plant tending. And selling. The all important selling. Second whim is to hang around on lot. So hang around we shall. Not that we could leave, it’s blizzarding. Again. ...I’m getting everyone cold resistance once winter is over because man! And now we just tinker with that video game making. Maybe today we’ll finish it.

Yeah go into comedy Izzy! -ahem- Anyway, looks like Malcolm Landgraab won the lottery. Good for him! Shame he isn’t in any sort of house at all! Alas. Get into a house and get played Malcom. Or else…

Hmm. The problem is that Cameron was asked, and I don’t think Cameron is big on the manners character value. The “kids being kids” doesn’t quite feel right but I guess it’s better to have that negative manners value. Anyway, Cameron actually woke up sad from that lack of the lottery win. Aww. Odds were too high Cameron. Too high. Anyway, Izzy’s finally home from school! Once Cameron gets his book read, I’ll do what I wish to do with Izzy. In the meantime, Cameron got asked about what Voidcritter is better. He’d say both are very powerful, upping the Conflict Resolution but lowering Emotional Control. Hmm. Certianly a mix of character values.

Anyway, I’ve sent off Izzy to the Bergjersen household! For one reason in paritcular.

These two should be rivals! Both are geniuses and we all know there is room for only one super smart kid on this island! I should be making friends with Izzy and yet I decide to do this. Because DRAMA! Sadly, it seems as if their relationship wouldn’t go down to below acquaintances. Bah. Anyway, let’s nick some grilled food that’s on the ground and eat it before heading home to sleep.

Get a load of that dog. Look at that precious big girl. She’s wonderful. I love her. Anyway, returning home and sending Izzy to bed. Lara and Cameron evidently got some sleep because they seem fine. But Cameron has work! Time to be the hackerman! ...where would those guys actually work? I would think if they were to hack, they’d limit it to staying at home and hacking. -shrug- Anyway, I sent Lara to hack and then she needed her delayed snooze. And so it’s time for!

This apartment is unfortunitely one of those glitched out ones where it doesnt allow you to alter the walls, so I couldn’t upload it to the gallery. This is definitely not my favourite apartment I’ve ever done, but there are some things in it that I really onjoyed and think worked out well.

For the savefile context - the people who live here is a very successful business oriented couple and their dog. You might remember one of the first apartments I did was for grandparents who are raising their granddaughter because their son and his wife are too busy working and making it big to be full time parents. That’s them. They have a dog that they spoil rotten, especially the wife and I actually took a few photos of her with the dog but I can’t add them into the apartment without going into live mode, so I will do it towards the end when I got all the builds finished.

...Down At Oasis's Springs' Fitness Centre...

Darlings! You finally made it! l was wondering if you had gotten lost, after all the big Landgraab Realestate Industries began making renovations especially at Burners & Builders Gym it got a totally major makeover -- literally everything was torn out!

Oh of course! Let me introduce myself my name is Citrus Jade Zest-Landgraab! Youngest daughter of the famous comedian and "disowned" son of Nancy and Geoffrey Landgraab, --- Johnny Zest (Landgraab) and my mother is a famous CEO from Windernberg --- Jade Rosa.

I know your thinking my name is certainly alittle different then like say Emily or Belle -- mainly cause my parents were just that way in general l mean my 4 older brother and 2 older sisters are named like that too. Dad and Mum of course named me Citrus cause when l was born 3 1/2 weeks early l had a mop of golden yellow tuffs of hair and bright green eyes that l inherited from the Landgraab side -- where as all my other siblings have either dark hair and dark eyes and freckles. I'm so glad my freckles aren't as prominent as my brothers and siblings mainly because of how naturally tan l am.

Still snowing. Still cold. But we did finally get water again. It stopped working late Saturday night and we thought it was due to frozen pipes. But, after spending all Sunday, making sure all our pipes were fine, we decided it must have something to do with our well. Best guess was that our pump had kicked the bucket. But thankfully, it was just a small problem with the electrical connection and the well guys fixed it. So, no $2000+ for a new pump. Anyway, my stupid dog, Sophie, thinks I need to stand outside to watch her go to the bathroom - in the middle of another damn snowstorm with temps at 0 degrees and a wind-chill of -15F - because my life is so empty and lacks all meaning. The dog needs help.

Anyway, here’s the upper floor of that house at 299 Skyborough. The bedroom with all the Asian furniture belongs to Yumi. She brought it with her when she moved in. The other rooms were decorated by Leighton’s late wife. (Yumi doesn’t like them).

And on the other corner, is the Bachelor house. (Same site as the original). It was renovated by another player – can’t remember their name – but again, I made changes to it. In the front, I changed out the lights and the windows in that bump-out. And re-did the sidewalk and driveway. In the back, in that open area by the town sign, there was a pool house, which I demolished. And in that open area where the football, baseball, and Frisbee are, there was a pool – which I also got rid of. Unless they are super rich – like the Altos and Landgraabs – my Sims are expected to use the town pool. And pay for the damn city pass. So, the pool had to go. Inside, it was chock full of crap, which I tossed. I basically reused their old furniture – mostly because that’s what RL people do. He’s now the principle of the school, and I gave her a job with the science center as a fertilizer analyzer. (She was working at the theater taking tickets – or some such nonsense). Anyway, she’s the one who cares for the garden. Not sure what he does around the house. Oh! And I gave Bella a cat, since some of her bios say that she is all into supernatural stuff and cats are traditionally linked to the supernatural. And no, there are no pictures of the inside, because 1) I am lazy. And 2) see #1. Plus, the well guys came and I had to deal with them.

After I got done with the Bachelors – which included taking all of them into CAS to make them semi-presentable – I started work on the apartment for those 5 weirdos EA moved in together. Even finished it, only to decide I didn’t like it after-all. So, later, I’ll bulldoze it and redo the lot.

But in the meantime, I did whip together this little build down on that deserted beach below that Wolff house. I put a lot offshore for that surfing thingie that came with one of those Store, beach sets, so I decided to build this surf shop here. I was going to place some of those mooring cleats, but this lot doesn’t actually touch the water. Oh well. But there are other things for Sims to do – like yoga and the bonfire, and – who knew – swimming! BTW, I did add some shark spawners to the spot where those surfing thingies are, so that’s good. Wish we had a kraken spawner.

And I also built a Chinese take-out where those 4 female Sims used to live. I still have a couple things to do, and then I’ll show it to you.
