NEKO NO HITAI (猫の額)

Built around a small central tsuboniwa or courtyard garden, this efficient but comfortable 1LDK home is perfect for a single occupant or couple. The garden might be ‘as narrow as a cat’s forehead’ but provides a touch of serene light and greenery to the surrounding rooms. The tatami room and open concept living, dining, and kitchen space offer plenty of space for cooking and entertaining, while spacious bathroom and laundry facilities provide ample utility to the personal rituals of self care and housekeeping. There is plenty of storage space to keep everything tidy and in its place, although it seems the current owner has given their attention to other priorities... 🐈

I was inspired by the phrase neko no hitai (literally “cat’s forehead”—and figuratively a very small area) to create a cute and compact cat lover’s home, and by all the wonderful new clutter items to juxtapose the precision of the floor plan with a slightly messy lived-in feel.

Cluttered Japanese House

omg i'm actually so obsessed with this house. this was my first time building a "traditional" japanese home. i used a lot of the felixandre KYOTO cc pack for the roofing details. gosh they make such good cc.

i think the landscaping and outdoor decor was the hardest to do. i wasn't really sure if i wanted it to be cluttered or organised. but i'm pretty happy with the end result. the backyard is the best part.

i think my favourite part is the kitchen, dining, living space. i didn't want to make it super traditional. so they're all kinda merged together. which turned out super cool. although in game, nothing was functional and ended up moving everything. lol

Erika is working in the environment department, trying to make Sulani a better place; meanwhile Diego is a very wanted archeologist and researcher (especially now that his mother Carmen has retired), so museums and privates send him ancient artifacts all the time. I need a SRO building like these for Mt. Komorebi (or even the new world), this is from the J-drama Binbo Danshi (that's Shun Oguri in the red and Haruma Miura who unfortunately died 3 years ago), sorry for the picture quality but I just wanted to get some quick screenshots and chose the first site that had this show.

This is apartment (SRO - single room occupancy with shared bathrooms, NYC has them too but they were more common from the Depression Era til the 70's when they were falsely blamed for the high crime rate that plagued the city, more than two-thirds were demolished but they've been making a comeback) in Japan is usually occupied by students or part time employees, anyone who really doesn't have much income.

I thought I had a build like this in my game (by a Japanese builder who no longer builds/plays) but that build is actually for the Sims 3 game. Fortunately, I do have several other builds that could be converted into this, I don't build so I don't know but I should try if I can't find this lol!

Faudrait que je vous parle de mes sims ! 🏡

Je joue aux sims depuis le premier opus et depuis les sims 2, j'ai la lubie de vouloir faire un quartier à mon image ... Du coup, j'ai le besoin de refaire toutes les maisons du quartier ...et de tous les quartiers dans les sims 4. Bien entendu, je crée aussi de nouvelles familles ... pour de nouveaux dramas !

En ce moment je suis dans la rénovation du quartier Mont Komorebi. La photo montre d'ailleurs ma dernière maison réalisée.

Du coup, il faudrait que je vous montre mes maisons de sims et leurs habitants à l'occasion !
