NEKO NO HITAI (猫の額)

*This line is sung by Miku, so I'm assuming it's talking about Rin's shorts.
**This line uses both the onomatopoeia for kiss and the actual word for kiss, and a lot of the times the onomatopoeia can substitute for the word. I don't feel like I can actually use English onomatopoeia for kissing here because..."chu" is very cute and innocent? Whereas all of English's option just don't have the same nuance, so this is the closest I could get.
***Because this song was uploaded like half a month after Saihate I'm assuming this line is a reference to it, and as such using "the farthest ends" instead of what this line would more naturally be read as something like "this isn't how far our feelings go"

If you are new to Japan or residing overseas, you might not be familiar with Japanese layout terminology.
I have provided examples and some basic details for each typical form of layout. One type of layout not indicated in the link below is the "S" in 1SLDK, 2SLDK, etc.

The S that you might see stands for "service room," which can be as small as 1 or 2 tatamis (1.6529 sqm to 3.3058 sqm) or as large as 6 tatamis (9.9174 sqm).
The smaller service rooms can be used as storage, a walk-in closet, etc., but the larger ones are typically used as an actual bedroom.
If a room large enough to be a bedroom is unable to meet the requirements of what defines a bedroom under the Building Standards Act, that room will then be classified as a service room. In actuality, though, most owners simply use such a large "service room" as a bedroom assuming it has electrical outlets.

Final Destination: what’s something everyone else hates, but you love? It actually took me an eternity to think of a good answer to this one. So in Monterey there was also this underground wax museum that was from like…the 70s? I’m sure it was alright when it opened, but ever since I’ve known it, it was…horrible. The figures were falling apart, the recordings and stuff didn’t work properly, sometimes the lights were out. But I loved it, I made it a point to go every time we were in Monterey, even though no one else liked it (isabell once described it as “oppressive”, and I believe said it felt haunted). Seeing as I was the only one repeatedly going in by this point, it’s no surprise that the wax museum eventually closed, and the whole floor it was on was cleaned out, but the guys clearing out all of the junk let us take home to sign for the entrance, and now it lives in our room.
Rosemary’s Baby: what’s something everyone else loves, but you hate? Okay this is a very specific “everyone”, but I absolute hate Fallout 3. I think it’s a bad game. I don’t like the story or characters, I think the capital wasteland is boring, the vaults all suck (ESPECIALLY 108), the late-game enemies are way too bullet-spongy, and somehow almost all of the DLCs make it worse? Yes, even Point Lookout, in fact I actually specifically hate that one with a passion matched only by my fury for michael buble and mark wahlberg.

Hello! I am a huge fan of your looks and I've been following you for a while. So excited to see you open your asks? I was wondering what your clothing storage is/was like, especially while in Japan, knowing how limited in space most modern urban apartments are there, and the extra volume involved in support garments for lolita fashion! And reading about your new situation of needing to temporarily live off a smaller wardrobe has been interesting!
Thank you! However, seeing some of the questions I have already received makes me want to close my ask box again for another 6 years, but yeah, I risked opening it again thinking there was less people here now.
For your question: I am actually a master tetris, haha! You also have to know that I sold/gave away most of my non-wardrobe belongings before moving to Japan, including my 700+ book collection, so my only things are wearable objects.
I lived in 3 different places in Japan, but my second place was the smallest. My first apartment in Okinawa was pretty big (one of the only advantages of living in the deep countryside), so I did not have any storage problems. However, when I moved to Tokyo, I went from a big 2LDK with a walk-in closet to a very old and small 1LDK with a traditional Japanese futon closet. I installed a standalone clothes rod in the upper part of the storage for my skirts, short jackets and blouses, and placed plastic drawers for everything foladable (as well as accessories) in the lower part. My hats were in the above compartments. I have added a generic picture of a futon closet to make you understand better (there's actually a plastic drawer thing in this picture, so it's useful).
I bought two extra closets with from Nitori (see picture) for my dresses, coats and knits (folded in the drawers).
My shoes were in a shoe rack at the entrance. My third apartment (in Tokyo again) was bigger, but my setup was similar. Sorry I don't have my own pictures.
