The bad weather followed Annika to the next location. Maybe it wasn't the evil warlock's fault at all and the weather was just shitty? Not that a little rain would stop her from doing what she set her mind to do!

Growing up, fishing used to be a Big Deal to Annika. It was one of the first activities she picked up when her family washed ashore the Bay, and although it was out of bare necessity at first, she's grown to genuinely enjoy it as an activity over the years. Her family didn't need to forage or hunt for food anymore (the Bay's markets were well-stocked and anything they couldn't find there, Gabriel would bring from the city), but there were days when Annika couldn't resist the nostalgic call of the waves.

Nor did she need to! The old temple ruins proved to be a great fishing spot, and they were just down the street from the Blackbirds' place.

Since coming out of the hospital and learning of the spy, Vincent has been more vigilant of his surroundings. He felt uneasy that someone might still be following him...even in another country. After resting he was a bit more alert, so just to be cautious, he asked Jay if he had any hats to wear to hide his face, especially in the busy town centre.

Some paintings in the building caught Renee's attention and she took some photos. One stood out in particular. It had a plane statue and she could see some people in the background. Armed with weapons.

Transcript:

Renee: Jay do you know what these paintings are of? Jay: These are of Chestnut Ridge and the plane one…I dunno. Maybe the next town? Or made up? Renee: Oasis Springs doesn't look like that. I wonder if that's Strangerville.

Humans used to be so much better at travel...or so she remembers. Where are the cars? The airplanes? At least there are the cargo trains...and boats...and bikes. Oh, how she hates bikes. Zero would rather walk, and walk she did, alongside her new best friend Maven.
