Sims 4 Flower Garden Legacy

This legacy is inspired by flowers and the meanings attributed to them. I used the interpretations from two books I found on my mother's bookshelf.

These are more like guidelines and thoughts on how to make your different generations more interesting, especially if you are like me, and you need goals and challenges to stay engaged. I didn't have time to playtest all the generations, but I know it's possible to push your sims to the limit without cheating.

First things first

TS4 is easy enough to play without cheating

Different generations are linked to different expansions

Objectives are not in chronological order

To add more excitement, try out different mods

There are no assigned traits, but some traits would make your sims life easier. Follow your gut on this

There are no assigned colors. Again, follow your gut

English is not my first language, so please ignore any grammar mistakes 🙃 unless I wrote complete gibberish and you don't understand a single word in a sentence, then let me know

G1 Azalea

Azalea symbolizes friendship, family, joy, and tradition. With the right amount of sunlight and water, this low-maintenance plant will bring an abundance of color and beauty to your life.

You have a gentle and nurturing personality, with a talent for caring for others and creating a warm, welcoming environment. You prioritize spending time with loved ones and creating meaningful connections with others in your community. You find joy in the beauty of nature and have a passion for gardening and spending time in the kitchen.

Aspiration: Big Happy Family

Have at least three kids

Develop the highest possible skill level in cooking, baking, gardening, flower arranging, and parenting

Have some kind of social event with family and friends every Saturday (dinner, bbq, etc.)

Grow at least 10 different types of flowers in your garden (As of May 2023, there are 24 flowers in the game)

Use only low to mid-range furniture and appliances. Never replace anything, fix it yourself

To make money, you can only sell what you have grown or made yourself (vegetables, flower arrangements, preserves, cakes)

G2 Hollyhock

Hollyhock symbolizes ambition, abundance, resilience, and determination. With little care, this tall and sturdy flower will bring vibrance to your garden.

You always felt like you had to compete for the attention. You are highly ambitious, striving to achieve your goals and exceed expectations. While putting a lot of emphasis on your education and career, you neglect your close relationships. You struggle to express your feelings and connect with others on an emotional level. Despite all this, you are a loyal and supportive partner who does everything to show your feelings in a more practical way.

Aspiration: Academic -> Fabulously Wealthy

Complete the first aspiration and move to the next one

Get the best possible grades in elementary school, high school, and university

Have a career in business. You aim for the top

Marry the first sim you have a romantic relationship with

You are the breadwinner. The spouse quits their job after marriage and never works again

Don't spend much time with your child/children

Your home has medium and high price items. When something breaks, you always replace it with a new one

Pass the family money to the next heir

G3 Hydrangea

Hydrangea symbolizes vanity, arrogance, and desire. With little care, hydrangea brings elegance to your garden with its large and showy blooms.

You are highly creative and have a refined sense of style. Being in front of the cameras feels natural to you. You are self-centred and tend to prioritize your needs and desires above those of others. Thanks to your skills and fame, you accumulate a large amount of wealth.

Aspiration: World-Famous Celebrity

Develop the highest possible skill level in charisma, comedy, and acting

Go to a club/restaurant at least twice a week

Have one Meet and Greet in every season

Use mean interactions often

Change your hair color at least 3 times in your life

Hire a butler

In old age, an unexpected wave of generosity hits you, and you donate all your wealth

G4 Yarrow

Yarrow symbolizes strength, courage, overcoming and recovery. This flower will grow even on the poorest soil and doesn't require any care to thrive.

You grew up in luxury and wealth, but now you have nothing. Despite the obstacles, you are determined to provide for yourself because you want a stable and secure life. It is very important for you that your children are equipped with the necessary skills to be independent and successful by the time they move out.

Aspiration: Renaissance Sim -> Super Parent

Complete the first aspiration and move to the next one

Start with 0 money and a tent

In addition to work, dumpster dive to find valuables that you can sell (Don't sell collectibles or paintings/music/books for extra cash)

Attend different skill classes

Choose medicine as the last career and work in that field until retirement

Fall in love with a patient and end up marrying them

All your kids must gain a Top-Notch-Toddler trait

Always help your children with homework/school projects

All your kids must gain at least one positive character value trait

G5 Gardenia

Gardenia symbolizes sensuality, passion, and secret love. This sweet and intoxicating flower requires a little bit more attention from its grower.

You have a magnetic personality and natural charm. You are a hopeless romantic who tends to get caught in the passion and excitement of new relationships. You avoid long-term commitment because you fear that the daily routine will kill the excitement and passion. For that one special person, you are willing to take a chance on love despite your fears.

Aspiration: Serial Romantic -> Soulmate

Complete the first aspiration and move to the next one

Have a childhood friend who later becomes your soulmate

Work in Public Relations (Social Media career)

Get married at least 3 times

Woohoo in 10 different locations (As of May 2023, there are 23 locations/ways on the list)

No kids until adulthood

Reconnect with your childhood friend and settle down with them

G6 Protea

Protea symbolizes dreams, exploration, courage, and resilience. This plant needs a lot of space and sun to grow. It should not be planted deeper than the surface level of the soil.

You have a strong sense of wanderlust and a need for adventures. You love new experiences and cherish old memories. For you, a job is just a means to an end.

Complete two adventure/location-based aspirations

Develop the highest possible skill level in fitness, photography, programming, and logic

Work as a freelance programmer

Complete the postcard collection

Move repeatedly and live in at least 3 different worlds

Settle down in one of the desert/warm climate worlds (Oasis Springs, StrangerVille, Sulani, Del Sol Valley, or Tartosa)

Go on a family vacation in every season

G7 Snapdragon

Snapdragons symbolize passion, deception, denial, duality, and strength. This eye-catching, mostly warm-colored flower spices up your garden.

You are a master of deception, leading a double life. At first glance, you appear ordinary or even mundane, but looks are deceiving. Beneath your boring surface lurks something more sinister. Your purpose in life is to make others' lives a living hell because seeing them suffer is your favorite pastime. You are very passionate about your hobbies...maybe even a little fanatical.

Aspiration: Chief of Mischief

Develop the highest possible skill level in mischief, singing, piano

Fight with 5 different Sims

Become a Triple Agent (Secret Agent Career)

All your kids have to play one musical instrument at the highest possible skill level before they become young adults

All your kids have to have one negative character value trait

G8 Daffodil

Daffodil symbolizes new beginnings, rebirth, truth, and creativity. Daffodils love sunlight and well-drained soil. Therefore, the best growing place for this flower is an open and raised flowerbed.

You are a detail-oriented individual driven by a deep desire to uncover the truth. While searching for the truth, you stumble on a secret that will profoundly challenge your worldviews. You are loved and supported by your community, who admires your dedication.

Aspiration: StrangerVille Mystery & Friend of the World

Work as a journalist

Be a member of at least two clubs and host club meetings every week

Solve StrangerVille Mystery

Get married to a sim who helped you defeat the Mother Plant

Host at least 8 different types of social events in your lifetime (As of May 2023, game has 25 different social events)

All your kids have to complete the Social Butterfly aspiration

G9 Rudbeckia

Rudbeckia symbolizes justice, fairness, motivation, and optimism. Rudbeckia is a hardy flower that loves evenly moist soil but can also survive drought and scorching sun.

You are a highly principled individual deeply committed to upholding justice and protecting others. You are willing to make great sacrifices to ensure that justice is served. After work, you enjoy creative pursuits which allow you to unwind from the stresses of your work. You desire balance and harmony in your home life.

Aspiration: Painter Extraordinaire

Develop the highest possible skill level in wellness, painting, knitting, and cross-stitching

Work as a detective

Have a romantic relationship with one of the suspects but break it off eventually

Own a house with a large and luscious backyard where you spend most of your free time

Be strict with your kids, and never miss an opportunity to discipline them

All your kids have to earn the Emotional Control trait

G10 Lavender

Lavender symbolizes spirituality, intuition, devotion, and growth. Lavender needs a lot of light and warmth. Although this flower looks hardy, it's highly receptive to changes in the soil.

You are fascinated by the concept of magical and mystical, so you spend a lot of your time exploring spiritual practices and rituals to connect with this hidden world. You are determined to connect with and become part of the supernatural world. You have a soothing energy that puts others at ease.

Aspiration: Choose a vampire, spellcaster, or a werewolf aspiration

Develop the highest level of Medium skill

Work as a paranormal investigator

Become a friend with a vampire, spellcaster, or a werewolf

Magical Mythical Creatures Legacy Challenge

Play through all the sims 4 occult life states and develop your legacy across seven generations.

Feel free to change anything to fit your own gameplay/storytelling style and above all have fun!

Generation 1 - VAMPIRE

Aspiration: Master Vampire

Traits: Music Lover, Erratic, Gloomy

Move into a Micro Home with a very large garden. Lot sizes must be 30x30 or bigger (your choice of world)

Collect all 7 Magic beans.

Enter the Mystical Magic Bean Portal Tree and obtain the Forbidden Fruit.

Regularly eat forbidden fruit to turn into a plantsim.

Grow at least one Forbidden Fruit Tree, Cowplant and Money Tree.

Earn the Super Green Thumb trait from the reward store.

Have no romantic or sexual relationships with any sims.

Have no legitimate children. Once they reach adulthood, either adopt or use the Whispering Wishing Well to wish for a child (this child will be the heir).

Collections: optional - complete them all or pick n’ choose.

Complete the gardening collection

Create all 13 nectar varieties

Create all 15 scented flower arrangements

**How do I turn my Sim into a PlantSim?

Have your Sim reach level 10 of the gardening skill. With level 10 unlocked, you can buy rare seed packets using the computer, or in Build Mode.

Each rare seed packet contains one magic bean. To plant this, buy the Magic PlantSim Stump in Build Mode.

When you have six magic beans, your Sim can plant them in the Magic PlantSim Stump.

After watering, the Mystical Magic Bean Portal Tree will grow from the Stump and your Sim can travel through the portal.

When your Sim returns with the Forbidden Fruit of the PlantSim (they don’t always return with this, it may take multiple tries) they can eat it and turn into a PlantSim.

Generation 6 - ALIEN

Aspiration: Nerd Brain (*Optional - StrangerVille Mystery)

Traits: Socially Awkward, Genius, Recycle disciple

Career: Engineer

Skills: reach maximum skill level for each.

Handiness

Robotics

Logic

Knitting

Objectives:

Live in Oasis Springs (*Optional - Live in StrangerVille and complete the StrangerVille Mystery).

Build all Utili-Bots and a Servo.

Build a rocket ship and travel to Sixam.

Be abducted by aliens at least once.

Marry an alien.

Have as many children as you wish.

Collections: optional - complete them all or pick n’ choose.

Collect all 20 metals.

Collect all 20 crystals.

Collect all 4 space rocks.

Generation 7 - MERMAID

Aspiration: Beach Life

Traits: Child of the Ocean, Green Fiend, Outgoing

Career: Conservationist

Skills: reach maximum skill level for each.

Singing

Photography

Fitness

Objectives:

Live in Brindleton Bay as a young adult with a mermaid roommate.

Get into a romantic relationship with your roommate only after you become best friends.

Move to Sulani after visiting for a holiday (*Optional - live off the grid).

Become a Mermaid by obtaining and eating Mermaidic Kelp (either from exploring the cave in Mua Pel'am or befriending a dolphin).

Earn the Heatproof trait from the reward store.

Marry a mermaid (can be their roommate or someone else)

Have as many children as you wish.

Collections: optional - complete them all or pick n’ choose.

Collect all 13 seashells..

Collect all 18 buried treasure.

Collect all 10 underwater photos.

Zodiac Legacy Challenge

Welcome to the Zodiac Legacy Challenge for The Sims 4. This challenge was created entirely by me, @liisims, with the help of information from the internet and inspiration from the people around me. The challenge is based on the 12 zodiac signs, with each generation representing one zodiac sign.

Rules:

- Play with a normal lifespan.

- While I don’t recommend using money cheats, it’s up to you.

- The heir can be any gender (for simplicity, a female heir is used as an example).

- Complete the aspiration, max out the career, and achieve the max level in all listed skills unless instructed otherwise.

- Utilize the specified traits; their order doesn’t matter.

- The suggested number of children is a guideline, reflecting my vision for each generation. It’s not obligatory; feel free to interpret it as you wish.

- If you share anything related to the challenge (screenshots, gameplay, etc.) on Tumblr, use the hashtag #zodiacliisims .

I recommend reading at least one generation ahead before starting the challenge. For instance, if you’re currently on generation 1, make sure to familiarize yourself with the rules and description for both generation 1 and 2. This is particularly helpful as it often provides insights into how the current generation grew up. Of course, how you play is entirely up to you!

My love for challenges started by watching Clare Siobhan play the amazing not so berry challenge from @lilsimsie and @alwaysimming . When I looked more into other challenges I realized I wanted to create my own, and well here I am now! Sharing my first challenge. Before creating this challenge I made sure to look at no other zodiac inspired challenge as I wanted it to be 100% my own. Disclaimer: this is based on some things from the internet and people I know irl. Take it with a grain of salt! Enjoy!

Generation One: Aries

You’re a career driven overachiever. You love fitness, like LOVE. You can barely go a day without some physical activity. Your love life is a mess, you go from partner to partner and rush into things way too quick. People either really like you or they really don’t, it’s probably cause of your strong personality.

Traits: Self-Assured, Outgoing, Active

Aspiration: Super Parent

Career: Law (Branch of your choice)

Skills: Research and Debate, Fitness, Parenting

Children: 3 (Each child with a different partner)

Generation Two: Taurus

You’re a stubborn homebody. You prefer staying in for the night rather than going out. Growing up your mom always took very well care of you. However, you were just really stubborn and did not listen very often. You do really love your friends and family, as keeping good relationships with them is very important to you.

Traits: Loyal, Erratic, Goofball

Aspiration: Neighborhood Confidante

Career: Freelancer (Branch of your choice)

Skills: Charisma, Comedy

Children: 1

Generation Three: Gemini

You’re the “perfect” daughter. You always listen to your parents, until…. you become a teenager. You start to rebel, and your relationships with family and friends slowly weakens. Once you become a young adult you try your best to make up for it. You discover you actually are outgoing and decide to become a ‘youtuber’.

Traits: Outgoing, High Maintenance, Perfectionist

Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy

Career: Videomaker, use ‘The more views video station’. (This isn’t an actual career on the list.)

Skills: Production, Charisma

Children: Twins

Generation Four: Cancer

You’re an ambitious gardener. You really love growing plants, but you also love eating them! You grew up in quite a chaotic household. Your family could be pretty overwhelming sometimes. You’d be full of anger. So you would find peace in caring for plants. That’s where your passion for gardening began.

Traits: Hot-headed, Vegetarian, Ambitious

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist

Career: Gardener (Branch of your choice)

Skills: Gardening, Logic or Flower Arranging (This depends on which branch you choose in the career.)

Children: 2

Generation Five: Leo

You’re the center of attention. Or atleast thats what you always want to be. Dating a lot, and then secretly destroying love life’s will definitely get you attention. Just seems like a easy way to go then, right?

Traits: Romantic, Self-absorbed, Cheerful

Aspiration: Villainous Valentine

Career: Critic (Branch of your choice)

Skills: Writing, Charisma

Children: 4

Generation Six: Virgo

You’re a wellness-obsessed neat freak. Seeing your mom cause so much mayhem in others lives growing up, you just really wanted to bring them peace. You discovered you love wellness. As well as helping other people! You can get quite jealous though when co-workers try to steal your clients…

Traits: Neat, Jealous, Family oriented

Aspiration: Self-care Specialist

Career: You won’t have an in game career. You will just go to the spa and host classes, give massages, etc. This is because there isn’t an actual wellness career.

Skills: Wellness, Cooking

Children: 1

Generation Seven: Libra

You’re an indecisive music lover. You had a great relationship with your mom, she decided everything for you. So now you really struggle with making firm decisions. But there is one thing you’re sure of… you LOVE music. The right music just makes you wanna dance your feet off.

Traits: Dance machine, Noncommittal, Good

Aspiration: Musical Genius

Career: Entertainer (Musician branch)

Skills: Comedy (level 3), Piano, Guitar or Violin (level 8)

Children: 3

Generation Eight: Scorpio

You’re a passionate foodie. You love food, but it has to be of best quality. When you were younger your mom made lovely home-cooked meals. Which is where your passion for cooking begun. Assim que vi está área de leitura soube que fazia total sentido Lolla ser amante de livros, morar tão perto de um local assim é um sonho realizado pena que temos de lidar com homens inconvenientes...

Lolla ainda está se acomodando e conseguiu uma vaga em um clube de jardinagem entre outras pequenas coisas, achei que ela seria introvertida mas está indo contra minhas suposições...

Dei a Lolla uma melhor amiga, na verdade acho que isso foi ideia dela e eu só precisei adicionar uma sim que fosse quase uma alma gêmea para Lolla. Astra, enfim, uma pena não fazer elas morarem juntas mas isso não faria sentido na história.

E Lolla só foi a Myshuno para saber se havia alguma oferta de emprego para ela, estava cansada de enviar seus currículos para possíveis empregadores.

Sims 4 Legacy Challenge: Musicals

I wanted to try and make my own legacy challenge since this community is full of so many incredible ideas. This challenge is only five generations and not composed of my all-time favs, but these were the shows I could come up with plots for. If people like this one, I'd consider making a part 2 though!! I also have all the packs so feel free to amend this to fit your packs or play style!!

Gen #1: Loser Geek Whatever

Aspiration: Friend of the World

Traits: Childish, Geek, Jealous

Career: Tech Guru, E-sports Gamer branch

Summary: You were always the loser as a child. You never had many friends and always longed for more: connection, popularity, attention. You spent most of your life playing video games, but now, as a Young Adult, you are determined to broaden your social circle and become cool. Rules: You must max the Tech Guru career (E-sports Gamer branch) and max the video gaming and charisma skills. Complete the Friend of the World aspiration and have at least one child. Bonus: Use a color scheme of purple, blue, and green. Have a difficult or distant relationship with your child(ren). Pine endlessly for a friend your whole Young Adult life, and only marry them into Adulthood.

Gen #2: What Baking Can Do

Aspiration: Appliance Whiz

Traits: Ambitious, Foodie,

Career: Running a food stand

Summary: Your parent was always so busy with their many friends, and you missed out on a lot of important teaching moments. As a Young Adult, you marry someone you aren’t very compatible with and end up expecting a child with them. Not wanting to raise a child in your current environment, you work your ass off baking and cooking for your food stand to make enough money to leave your spouse and give your child a good life. Rules: You must be married as a Young Adult and divorce them. Max the baking, cooking, and gourmet cooking skills. Have only one child with your ex. Getting re-married is optional, but you must not have any children with your new spouse. You must run a food stand as your main source of income (having part-time jobs as a teen or while initially in your marriage is fine, but once you decide to leave, get baking!) Bonus: Use a color scheme of pink, yellow, and light blue. Have a permissive relationship with your child. If your food stand becomes too easy to manage, open your own restaurant!

Gen #3: Waving Through a Window

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist

Traits: Gloomy, Loves Outdoors, Socially Awkward

Career: Writer

Summary: Your parent was good to you, but you always knew the sacrifices that they made for you, which left you with the anxiety to succeed. But you don’t want to do anything ground-breaking…You just want to nurture your plants! Rules: Max the gardening and writing skills. Join the writing career, become a freelance writer, or simply write books and publish them. This should be your main source of income, but you can also sell your plants for extra income. You don’t have to get married, but you can, and you can have as many kids as you want. Bonus: Use a color scheme of blue, black, and white. Max the flower arranging skill. Tell a lot of lies to everyone, including your friends, family, spouse, and children. Write only fictitious stories for your career.

Gen #4: I Might Be Beautiful

Aspiration: Admired Icon / Successful Lineage

Traits: Neat, Party Animal, Perfectionist

Career: Lawyer

Summary: After seeing how terrible your parent’s social skills are, you vow to never be like them. You spend your teen years desperate to be admired, throwing parties and keeping up with all the trends. You befriend and date some toxic people, and come out the other end a little traumatized, but overall a better person. You pursue a career in law, leaving your mischievous and crazy past behind you, but you still enjoy a good party now and then. Rules: Complete the Admired Icon teen aspiration. Max the charisma, logic, and research & debate skills. Max the Law career in whichever branch you choose. You don’t have to get married and you can have as many children as you want. Bonus: Use a color scheme of red, yellow, green, and blue. Have a toxic ex from your teen years. If you have the Extreme Violence mod, go crazy.

Gen #5: The Room Where It Happens

Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy

Traits: Ambitious, Genius, Self-Assured

Career: Politician

Summary: Your parent wanted to have a successful lineage, and you are determined to fulfill their wish. You want to make a positive change in the world, but your intelligence and ambition often intimidate people, so relationships aren’t always easy for you. You become a politician and pour yourself entirely into your career, finding seldom time for socialization and hobbies, but you don’t mind too much. Rules: Max the Politician career, as well as the the charisma and writing skills. Complete the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration. Get married and have at least two children. Have an affair and win your spouse back. Bonus: Use a color scheme of gold and black. Try to have as many kids as possible. Die in a stupid way.

Groovy Legacy Challenge

This challenge was inspired by the other amazing 10 generation storytelling challenges out there including, Not So Berry, Sims in Bloom, Whimsy Legacy Challenge and many more!

A massive shout out to my friend Sophie 'Folklore Adventures' for helping me with this challenge, coming up with ideas and helping write the backstory for each generation.

General Rules:

-Each Generation complete the given aspiration & career

-Max out required skills for each generation

-Money Cheats allowed for story telling purposes ie freerealestate

*Make the challenge harder by not using any cheats

-Play on any lifespan you wish (although short is not recommended with all the goals that need to be achieved for each gen)

-Please add extra story elements and ideas throughout the challenge and make it your own, have fun!

-If you do not own all required packs, either leave that part of the rule out or change the trait/skill to something that is similar

-Some Generations are named after tv shows or movies and the storyline for these are not the same, they are just inspired by them.

-You will notice each generation has two colours, an aesthetic and inspiration. These are not required for the challenge but are a fun add on to the Groovy theme of the legacy (though I know this style isn't for everyone). You may like to just do the colours or the aesthetic or neither, it's totally up to you!

Generation 2: Space Oddity

Ideas of space and the supernatural consume your thoughts and while people might find you strange, you don’t mind at all, because you know there’s something out there. You’re a neat freak and long for the next genius idea you’ll have in the shower. You leave the family farm and move to an unusual new town hoping to meet like minded people but when things start getting strange, you go searching for answers. You finally find a Sim who accepts you for you, quirks and all.

You find your soulmate and raise a large family of six children. You love being a stay at home parent and focusing on your children. You strive to be the perfect parent, knitting for your family, cooking big family meals and helping your children with their studies. You don’t have many friends other than your family so you decide to have pen pals.

Aspiration: Big Happy Family

Traits: Family Oriented, Cheerful, Perfectionist

Towards the end of your teen years, you meet the Sim of your dreams who is the total opposite to you. They are adventurous and rebellious but they change you for the better and bring out your wild side. You live a busy, fast paced and exciting life having adventures together and only have one child. You have a career in writing, sharing your travels with the world. While you teach your only child to follow their dreams, you don’t spend much time together because of your busy travel schedule.

Aspiration: Extreme Sports Enthusiast

Career: Freelance Writer

Traits: Good, Bookworm, Adventurous (last trait given)

Skills: Selvadoradian culture, Skiing, Rock Climbing

If your globetrotting, absent parents taught you anything, it was to have fun and follow your dreams, so that’s exactly what you do. You move to the city as an aspiring artist/photographer, live with a group of fellow artists and creatives and throw lots of fabulous parties together. You find yourself an incredible muse, have a whirlwind romance, move into your own apartment and have a baby. But long term relationships just aren’t your style and realising you’re losing your creativity and passion, you break up and raise your child alone. You’re forever destined to search for your next muse, while living out to your artistic and party animal dreams.

Aspiration: City Native

Traits: Creative, Party Animal, Noncommittal

Career: Painter

Skills: Painting, Photography, Mixology

Goals:

-Complete childhood aspiration Artistic Prodigy

-Move to city once young adult and stay for remainder of life

Generation 6: Bewitched

You grew up in a dysfunctional apartment in the city surrounded by wild parties and celebrities and dream of a more quiet, traditional life for yourself. But there’s a catch, because you’re a witch! While you love being a witch and developing your powers, you long to fit in and want the world to think you’re just a regular Sim. You find a partner that you love and tell them your secret, but don’t disclose it to anyone else. To your neighbours and friends you’re just a regular suburban parent, who bakes for their kids, cross stitches and enjoys bowling. You go all out celebrating every holiday, while living a secret spellcaster life.

Aspiration: Spellcraft and Sorcery

Traits: Proper, Cat lover, Overachiever

Career: Education

Skills: Baking, Cross Stitching, Bowling

Goals:

-Become a Spellcaster as a teen

-Collect all 26 magical artefacts

Generation 7: Saturday Night Fever

During the day you work a typical nine to five job just to please your pleasant suburban parents, but all you really want is to be going out dancing. You love music, disco and all things shiny. You love the nightlife, you love to boogie!

You go out dancing multiple times a week. You find it hard to commit to one Sim but you love the chase and romancing them on the dance floor. One night you accidentally get pregnant

(or get a sim pregnant) from a one night stand. This makes you change your ways and you become the most loving parent and devote most of your time to raising your child. You still go out dancing when you get the time.

Aspiration: Serial Romantic

Skills: Dancing, Charisma, Dj Mixing Skill

Career: Business

Traits: Dance Machine, Romantic, Childish

Goals:

-As a young adult go out dancing/DJ at least twice a week

-You do not need to reach level 10 in this career as you are not passionate about it

You move to the country to live off the land, reconnect the earth and participate in a harmonious community. You are all about wellness and living a clean lifestyle. But are you getting yourself into a commune or a cult? You have a child with one of your friends in the community and everyone helps raise your child.You make money from selling produce and items you craft by hand, while living your dream hippie commune life.

Aspiration: Zen Guru

And while commune life is nice and all, you dream of more. You want the rockstar lifestyle and when you’re old enough you take off to chase your dreams of being a famous musician.

Your guitar skills start to pay off as you make your own music and busk on the streets for money. You hang out at all the celebrity hot spots in the hopes of meeting someone famous and you do! You fall in love and live your lives in the spotlight. Now that you are with a celebrity and you start to enjoy the finer things in life and focus on creating beautiful music on the piano.

Aspiration: Musical Genius

Career: Any part time job to make extra money

Skills: Guitar Skill, Piano Skill, Gourmet Cooking

Growing up with the finer things in life, you like your home to feel special and enjoy splashing out on expensive household items. You meet the love of your life but they can never know what you do for work. To them you are the perfect partner, but they have no idea of the adventures you go on and enemies you make along the way.

Aspiration: Renaissance Sim

Career: Secret Agent Career (Diamond Agent)

Skills: Fitness, Mischief, Programming Skill

Enduring Roots Legacy Challenge

A seven generation Sims 4 legacy challenge based on some of the plants found in the base game. Focus on gardening and some supernatural gameplay.

Required Packs: None

Optional Packs (for some alternate aspirations/traits & optional goals): Cats & Dogs, City Living, Cottage Living, Crystal Creations, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, For Rent, Get Famous, Get Together, Get to Work, High School Years, Horse Ranch, Island Living, Journey to Batuu, Jungle Adventure, Outdoor Retreat, Paranormal, Realm of Magic, Romantic Garden, Seasons, Snowy Escape, Spa Day, Strangerville, Vampires, Werewolves

Getting started: Aging can be set to whatever you prefer, including being turned off entirely. Gen 1 can be created alone, or with a spouse, sibling, parents, etc., and can be of any age. The listed aspiration does not have to be picked as the sim's first one; they just need to work on (and ideally complete) it at some point in their lives. This challenge is meant to be flexible and guide storytelling, not to be intentionally difficult, and adapt to whatever packs you might have (whether that be none, or all of them), so feel free to make changes to the rules where you need to.

Currently play-testing. As I do, and as new packs release, I may make some changes.

Generation 1: Orchard

Always bright as a summer’s day, and beloved by everyone you’ve met, sometimes you’ve been told you’re too much of a good thing. And that some quirks are just not endearing. It’s not your fault you can see things others can’t, and you refuse to pass up the opportunity to make a friend, living or dead.

Traits: Cheerful, Erratic [or Cringe (for rent), or Clumsy], Outgoing [or Dog Lover (cats & dogs), Cat Lover (cats & dogs), Animal Enthusiast (cottage living), or Horse Lover (horse ranch)]

Aspiration: Friend of the World, Friend of the Animals (cats & dogs), Country Caretaker (cottage living), or Emissary of the Collective (werewolves).

Goals:

Reach level five of the comedy skill

Befriend 3 ghosts*

Have a penpal

Grow an orchard of at least three different types of fruit trees

Have a ghost join the household, or a current member die and rejoin the household as a ghost.*

Optional: Live in a haunted house residential (paranormal)

Optional: Have the island spirits lot trait (island living), and/or spooky lot challenge (city living)

Optional: Max the medium skill (paranormal), pet training skill (cats & dogs), and/or horse riding skill (horse ranch)

Aspiration: The Curator, Archaeology Scholar (jungle adventure), Outdoor Enthusiast (outdoor retreat), Jungle Explorer (jungle adventure), Cure Seeker (werewolves), or Crystal Crafter (crystal creations).

Goals:

Grow an herb garden

Grow wolfsbane flowers*

Have a telescope

Reach level 10 of the logic skill

Moonbathe at least once during each different lunar phase
