week of feb 26.

this week was kind of stressful but the spread was very relaxing to make!

i decided to go with a valentines’ day theme, which worked really well with the chinese new year colors!

spanish 2 notes. - sorry for literally being dead for the past few months. i don’t really have any excuses except for being lazy haha! i’ve started my sophomore year of high school and i am taking art, english, spanish 2, ap calculus ab, and ap chemistry. loving all the classes so far wooo also i’ve hit 200 followers yayy

some notes for my online precalc course! my teacher advised me to take it this summer to be able to take ap calc ab next year. i was excited but the online class is designed for a full school year so it’s been really challenging to keep to my accelerated plan (only two months!! kill me now).

mini update: i got a 5 on the exam!! i’m so relieved and happy because i actually thought i might have failed. i just get really anxious after tests but i’m glad i pulled through.

still on hiatus, this was just a spur-of-the-moment post bc i thought it looked nice.

short update!

sorry guys for being so inactive! i’m on break now which means i have more time to post, but idk what content i should make since school’s out.

i might post my notes for my online precalc class, but other than that, i’m out of ideas. if anyone has any ideas to share i would love to hear them!

on another note, i got a high level 5 on my language arts state exam (the highest level) and a perfect score on my algebra 2 end of course exam! i’m very proud but also anxious for my apwh score coming in july.

sorry again for the inactivity and tbh general antisocial-ness haha, i guess i’m just awkward both irl and online lol

april study challenge: 4.7.17 -"how do you organize your desk?" i have drawers for my stationery/school supplies, and also a filing cabinet for random papers. i always keep my laptop plugged in, which is a terrible habit because the battery is absolute crap now.. (not pictured) next to the lamp i have a tank with my turtle in it, and to the left of my laptop i have a mini storage thing with three drawers that have my copic markers, my sakura micron pens, and more stationery that i use often. listening to: mike perry - the ocean

so i don’t really have a bullet journal, just a regular planner that i decorate a little bit. i usually doodle a bit more than this but this week was really busy and full of panicking about tests ://

april study challenge 10-11

4.10.17 - your favourite page from a book i can’t recall my absolute favorite page, but it’s definitely from harry potter. that would be boring to say though because everybody is saying harry potter so i’ll mention a more recent book i read. the last page of the chapter where phineas died in “a separate peace”. i just really like how the author portrayed gene’s way of handling finny’s death, idk.

4.11.17 - best study snack i’ve been eating only oranges for the past few weeks, and although they’re absolutely delicious, they’re kind of messy. it’s okay though because i cut them up and use a small fork to eat them so they’re a great sweet healthy snack!

april study challenge 1-5 (catching up)

aah i’ve been too busy to really blog on here but i’m determined to keep up with the rest of the month! challenge by @littlestudyblrblog and @martastudies

1. what do you have going on this month? lots of tests and crazy assignments and stress and thankfully a week of spring break amongst the chaos :’) (it’s next week!)

2. favourite teacher/professor and why? my current chemistry teacher is the absolute best! he manages to be laid back and fun but also teaches in a quick and comprehensible way at the same time, which is really the best combination you can find in a teacher tbh

3. one time where studying paid off i had an algebra test earlier this year that was on a few concepts i didn’t quite understand but reading over my notes and practicing all the homework problems again really helped.

4. why did you make a studyblr? i feel like i say this too often but i really have a horrible problem with procrastination. it might not be too bad compared to some other people but for my life and current situation i just really can’t have it bothering me anymore. in the short amount of time that i’ve had this blog, i’ve improved so much more than i have in the past 2 years, so i’m very thankful for this community.

5. handwritten or typed notes handwritten! however this is only because i haven’t had any experience with typed notes. none of my teachers allow it, but it’s okay because i’m comfortable with writing things myself. i’d like to try it tho

just reviewed my apwh notes for a quiz tomorrow! i tried some new methods this time around (“new methods” meaning like, actually studying) and i really hope it will help me out.

i think i’ve finally decided on what highlighters to get. i’m planning on buying the uni propus q-dry window highlighters bc according to online reviews they seem to do well with ballpoint pen and inkjet-printed stuff. i’m a bit concerned about how it will do with my pilot juice pens and gel pens in general, because i’ve been seeing mixed reviews about it. however i have given up on finding highlighters that can work with the gel pen in the picture above bc it already smears rrrrreally easily without highlighting.

if anyone has the uni propus highlighters, please give me some info about how well they work with gel pens!
