Tom Disventure Camp needs a time out >_>

I made a post before DCAS started about Jake where I pretty much said, to sum it up, ‘Sure he’s a mess but he’s a justified mess 😊’ now that All Stars has started airing… I have some thoughts 😓. I’ll get to Jake another time. Maybe 😊. This is about Tom. Because I have a bone to pick with Officer Tom <_<

Let’s start with a flashback to Season 1. I cover the gist of what happened between him and Jake in the aforementioned Jake post. But what I didn’t mention is at the END of Disventure Camp season 1, Tom and Jake have a final conversation and they agree that they while they both still have feelings for each other, they shouldn’t get back together yet because they’re both pretty messed up. Jake asks if he’ll still talk to him and Tom says “I think we should take some time and grow as people. We are on the right path, but starting anything could ruin that. We’ll see where we are later in 🙂” and earlier in the finale he’d promised to keep in touch with Miriam. Sounds promising no? :3

Come All Stars, we find out Tom hasn’t talked to Jake OR Miriam at all in the last two years! ._. Now, listen, Jake and Tom’s relationship was… tumultuous. To say the least. And Tom DID say they should take some time apart. But he did NOT say… ‘Hey let’s go out of our way to avoid each other like the plague’ 😶 All Jake wants is clarity on where they stand. Are they friends? Are there still feelings between them? Is there even a chance they can reconcile at all? That’s all Jake wants.

If Tom can’t give him that, he should just say that. If Tom doesn’t want to be Jake’s friend, he should just say that. If Tom has moved on with someone else, say it with me now, he should just SAY that ._. And the kicker is… Tom was the one who got onto Jake so hard about communication in season one! .-. Now, Jake is TRYING to get Tom to talk to him and nothing .-. It’s understandable if Tom is still hurt over what happened in their season. All Stars has shown he can still hold a grudge with Ellie. But if he IS hurt… You know the pattern 😊 He should just say that >_>

Oh ho, and I’m not done. It gets worse. On top of avoiding Jake like the plague… He’s also being a massive hypocrite in regards to Jake 😶 In episode 4 the challenge is to get a sandbag and bring it back to the starting point, and the other players can use any means necessary to get the bag from you. Tom takes and throws Ally’s glasses then ALSO trips Grett later on. When Jake tackles Aiden to get the bag he has and gets the point, Tom gets petty and says ‘Wow! Real nice Jake 🙄’ .-. Tom… come on now ._. You know you’re being a dumb ass 😶

Episode 6, our latest episode, Ellie insists for their performance the two couples, her and Gabbie and Aiden and Tom, HAVE to kiss at the end of the song. Now… I don’t think I have to hold your hand and explain to you why that’s fucked up 😶 Especially because she EXPLICITLY said the only reason she did it was to psychologically fuck with Jake .-. Ugh >_> Sorry, this ain’t about Ellie, this is about Tom <_<. Tom, in a confessional, says “I haven’t talked to Jake yet and this kiss with Aiden will make it even weirder between us than it already is (who’s fault is that Tom >_>). What should I do? >_<“ And it’s like… Gee Tom… I dunno. Maybe you should TALK TO JAKE! ._. And yes, I know they’re on different teams. But Alec pulled someone from both of the other teams to form the villain alliance soooo… not like it’s impossible to talk to people from other teams .-.

In conclusion: Tom is pissing me off >_> Jake is on the rise, and I love to see it as a Jake lover and defender :3… Okay Jake has had his annoying moments too >_> but lately? Tom is the more annoying one 😶

Day 149/365 - Blitz!

The action opens on Bank underground station where the residents of Petticoat Lane are sheltering from yet another air raid (Our Hotel). Amongst them are the two prominent families of the street, the Blitzteins, led by their patriarchal mother and the Lockes, led by father Alfred. The two welcome home their respective sons Georgie Locke and Harry Blitztein who are home on embarkation leave for a week before shipping out to fight with the Army. Harry has a new older girlfriend in tow, Joyce, who is not only not Jewish but married, much to his mother's horror. Georgie, meanwhile, has caught sight of Mrs Blitztein's daughter Carol, who has grown into a beautiful young woman during his absence and is instantly smitten.

Carol likewise is rather struck by the young soldier and they quickly hit it off, before their parents interfere, resulting in their usual round of bickering which never involves them directly speaking to each other but rather through other people (Tell Him, Tell Her). As the argument settles down, Georgie pulls Harry to one side to inform him that he is in love with Carol. Whilst Harry is not against such a union, he advises against it as he knows there could be trouble (I Wanna Whisper Something). The wireless is put on so the residents can listen to the news, which includes a speech by Winston Churchill, and a song by Vera Lynn (The Day After Tomorrow). Ernie Nearmiss, Alf's best friend and fellow air raid warden, arrives to inform those in the shelter that the Blackwell's house has been destroyed by a bomb and Mr and Mrs Blackwell were still inside at the time, having refused to go down to the shelter.

Their son Tommy, who is in the shelter with the Blitzteins, is thankfully asleep and doesn't hear, but Mrs Blitztein decides that she will send Tommy with her own son Siddy into the country for safety. The next day, the children of the street, apart from Georgie's sister Franie, are assembled to be evacuated and are waved goodbye by their mums (We're Going to The Country). No sooner have the children gone than the bombings get worse; the firemen and ARP are kept very busy and every morning the residents of Petticoat Lane emerge from the shelter not knowing what to expect, but are determined not to let it get them down (Another Morning). On this particular day, they emerge to find the gas mains have been hit and they are not allowed into their homes. Princlet Street has also been completely destroyed leaving several families homeless, including the Murphys and Sens. Alf takes the Murphys in whilst Mrs Blitztein accommodates the Sens. Mrs Blitztein is very frustrated and begins to have a long rant about Hitler and is soon joined by the others (Who's This Geezer Hitler?) Harry re-appears after a week's disappearance and he is immediately put to work by his mother as punishment for not telling her where he was.

Carol and Georgie manage to get a minute to themselves and it is revealed that they have been spending a lot of time together over the last week. Georgie, prior to leaving for duty the next day, asks Carol if she'll wait for him, but before she can answer their parents appear once again. Mrs Blitztein is in full flow about her children and how they have disappointed her - Carol by breaking off her relationship with a Jewish boy because of Georgie and now Harry for having relations with a married woman (She's At It Again). An official appears on the scene to conduct a census of all the people in the area who have foreign sounding names to find out how many there are and how long they've been in the area. Whilst this is going on, Alf and Ernie engage in a patriotic rant (As Long As This Is England). That night, Carol and Georgie sneak out together to spend one last night together before Georgie goes abroad.

Their parents look for them but in vain. Carol and Georgie have a laugh at both their parents and their stubborn ways, and reflect on how the fact they are from such different backgrounds actually make them more suited (Opposites). They are interrupted by the air raid siren, but rather than go down to the shelter, they take cover in a doorway (Magic Doorway). Mrs Blitztein, searching for Harry, discovers them and is not less than impressed. Georgie volunteers to pay Joyce a visit and see if Harry is there. Carol meanwhile goes to find Harry herself, leaving Mrs Blitztein alone with her cake tin (Bake a Cake). She then overhears some men in the process of stealing lead pipes and is shocked to discover Harry amongst them. Harry announces to his mother he is not going back to the army as he's had enough. Mrs Blitztein is about to go after him when a bomb goes off nearby, followed by a scream from Carol.

The next day at Victoria Station, Georgie is waiting for Carol to see him off and for Harry to report for duty. When Harry doesn't show, Elsie, his former girlfriend who is still rather taken with him, tries to buy him time by distracting the Sergeant Major (Leave It To The Ladies). Mrs Blitztein arrives after having been at the hospital with Carol all night and is upset that Harry has not turned up. She informs Georgie that Carol was unable to come and see him off. Georgie informs Mrs Blitztein of his love for Carol and his intention to marry her when he returns, and is surprised when she agrees and seems more gentle towards him than before. The soldiers depart and Mrs Blitztein is left alone.

Act Two opens six months later with Carol (now blind after the bomb blast) alone on Petticoat Lane, thinking of Georgie, who she has not seen at all in that time (Far Away). The Sunday market is slowly beginning to set up and people are discussing Carol and how the bombing seems to have calmed down at last. Alf is pleased as he's had a letter from Georgie to say he's coming home for good after losing a kidney, and even better he doesn't want Carol or her mother to know he's coming, which Alf believes means he's going to finish with Carol.

The market is soon in full swing (Petticoat Lane) and the children return from the country (We've Been To See The Country). With the children having returned, the market starts its usual business, with Elsie commenting on the variety of people one meets at the Petticoat Lane market (Down The Lane). Carol, who is helping out on her Mum's pickled herring stall, asks Mrs Blitztein if what Franie has told her about Georgie coming home is true. Mrs Blitztein is forced to admit it is. Carol is confused as to why Georgie did not tell her he was coming home and worries that he has gone off her because she is blind. Mrs Blitztein tries to reassure her daughter but is secretly thinking the same thing. The Military Police arrive to enquire about Harry's whereabouts as he is still on the run from the army, followed by Joyce who has not seen Harry herself in a long time. Mrs Blitztein is in despair - her daughter is blind and unhappy and her son is a crook on the run. In a moment of desperation, she offers up a prayer to her late husband Jack, pleading for guidance (So Tell Me Jack).

That evening, the adults are assembling in the pub, leaving the children outside to amuse themselves with a game of Mums and Dads (Mums and Dads). After the other children are scared off by Tommy Blackwell and his horror book, Georgie emerges from the pub very drunk and depressed. Feeling a failure as a soldier, a son and a boyfriend he is drowning his sorrows. He is approached by Harry, who reveals that he has spent the last 6 months working on the black market and hiding from the military but has come back to see Carol having only just heard about what happened in the explosion. Georgie confesses that he too is yet to see Carol and it's clear whilst on one side he wants to see her he's too scared to do so. He makes out that Harry had the right idea running away, missing out on the fighting and death. Harry, on the other hand, seems to be fed up with life on the run and is clearly beginning to wish he had just faced his duty. The two agree to meet up later in the evening due to the area being too public where they are.

Georgie, now alone, goes into a drunken rant (Who Wants To Settle Down). Mrs Blitztein is next to discover him and she welcomes him home while triying to sound him out about Carol. Georgie admits the army was too much for him as all the killing and violence has altered his view on life and Carol probably wouldn't like the new him. Mrs Blitztein rubbishes the whole thing, telling Georgie that everyone has had to put up with the same thing at home and it hasn't changed any of them. She tells Georgie that she's very proud of him for going to fight for them and facing up to his responsibilities, unlike Harry, of whom she is very ashamed. She admits she misjudged Georgie because of her dislike of his father but tells him that she would be proud to have Georgie in her family. Georgie admits he still loves Carol as much as he ever did, if not more, but he doesn't think he's good enough for her. Mrs Blitztein informs him that in Carol's eyes no one else apart from Georgie would be good enough. She goes to fetch Carol, whilst Georgie is reunited with his father and Franie.

Carol is brought to Georgie and the two enjoy an emotional reunion, during which Georgie proposes (Is This Gonna Be A Wedding). At the wedding, Alf is still not happy about his son marrying a Blitztein but resigns himself to it, although not without a few snide remarks, particularly towards Mrs Blitztein. Harry then appears to congratulate Georgie and Carol and announce he is going to fulfil his rightful duty by returning to the army (Duty Calls). The wedding party depart and Mrs Blitztein is left alone when a bomb hits. She is rescued from the rubble by Alf but neither are very gracious either in thanking or receiving that thanks and they leave still arguing, but in a huge step forward they are conversing directly rather than through other people, and the crowd once again come together in union (Who's This Geezer Hitler? - Reprise).

Ellie Disventure Camp also needs a time out 😶

Ellie fans, I’m sorry, no I’m not, but I’m coming for your girl. But let me start by saying, I LOVE a villain. Especially a bad ass female villain. That’s why I like Fiore and Riya. But Ellie… is not bad ass. She’s just plain petty 😶 and, listen, petty villains have their place in my heart too. But Ellie is not just petty but also spiteful. For no reason .-. And yeah, yeah, I know she needs money, she’s relatable, you would do the same for a million dollars, blah blah shut it >_> Now, let’s begin with Jake ☺️

Now, imma just say, I love Jake, I’ve been team Jake since season 1, but I’m not gonna deny that Jake is annoying. He is sometimes 🤷🏻‍♂️ but he does not deserve the fuckin… psychological torture by Ellie ._. Y’all love to say JAKE is petty and obsessive but ELLIE is the one who’s pissy at Jake for being, RIGHTFULLY, upset for ruining his relationship 😶 and it looks to me like she’s been like that… the whole time? .-. Last episode, episode 6, She made Tom and Aiden kiss for NO reason other than to fuck with Jake ._. Like, she says that verbatim 😶 Her exact words are “I suggested the idea of the kiss, but the reasoning we just made up. This might be evil, but I can’t pass up the opportunity to see Jake lose his mind again. Hey, with no tv out here, it’s the next best thing.” Like, girl! This is… just ridiculous ._. What did Jake do to you? Rightfully get angry at you for betraying his trust and completely ruining his relationship? Not even Season One Grett would stoop this low 😶

And THEN, in episode 7, the latest episode so spoilers sorry, she again uses Tom and Aiden just to fuck with Jake .-. Granted, this one gets half of a pass because it WAS an actual game move and it worked out 🤷🏻‍♂️ But was it necessary? Mm. Debatable. Speaking of unnecessary. Let’s talk Tom 😊

Ellie dislikes Tom. For what reason? I couldn’t tell ya 😶 SHE fucked HIM over, SHE trash talked HIM on national TV. Not the other way around .-. Why is SHE mad at HIM ._. And why is she surprised that Tom is generous? He was a great guy, all things considered, in season 1 .-. Know what it smells like to me? ✨Projection✨. SHE’S gonna use the money for self fulfilling reasons, so of course everyone else is too 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think Ellie can dish it but she can’t take it, know what I mean? She can trash talk Jake, Tom, Miriam, AND Alec and that’s fine, she needed the money 🤷🏻‍♀️, but if any of those people are angry at her for the things she said? All hell breaks loose 😶 You can dislike Riya, but at least she owns her mess 😊 She knows she’s a villain and she owns it. She doesn’t do Villain Things, then try to revert back to her early season 2 self, no, Riya owns her shit.

Now, let’s talk about Gabellie. They’re very cute :3 I like them together, they’re sweet. However… Ellie, Gabby is your ONLY friend and only true ally. She HAS Tess… but like she also doesn’t, Tess could be swayed by Aiden, I feel, and especially could be swayed by Ally if they both make the merge. Ellie’s only guaranteed number is Gabby right now. So, what does Ellie do for her only ally, and, y’know, her girlfriend? Lie to her 😶 Now, listen, I understand lying to Tess, Aiden, and Tom about the villain alliance. That’s just smart gameplay 🤷🏻‍♂️ But lying to Gabby? No .-. Pull her to the side and tell her the truth 😶 Show that you trust her >_> because it’s very clear that Gabby adores Ellie with all of her heart, she wouldn’t have said a word 😊 but no 😶 Ellie lied to her. And now Gabby knows Ellie lied to her. And now Gabby could very well turn on Ellie because if she lied about the villain alliance, what else could she lie to her about ya know?

In conclusion: Ellie is a try hard villain 😶 She wants to be Fiore, Season 1 Grett, and Riya so bad and it’s embarrassing 😊

I recently started watching Hazbin Hotel, I haven’t finished it 😊, but I… have something to say :3

I was scrolling tik tok, as I do, and I saw someone say they didn’t like Huskerdust, which obviously is fine, we’re allowed our opinions 😗 But I went to the comments and they said ‘I can accept that it’s canon, but that doesn’t change that it’s objectively a pro ship 😕’… What? ._. A ship between 2 consenting grown men is a pro ship? 😶 That’s not- no .-. Just because a ship… has an age gap doesn’t mean it’s a pro ship 😶 if Angel was like, barely legal, sure. But Anthony died in his 30s. It’s not like he just graduated high school .-.

Someone said ‘He’s an addict he can’t consent’ but the thing is, Husk BLATANTLY wasn’t interested in Angel until AFTER he really started to work on himself and be his real self. Angel threw himself at Husk like every episode up to 4, where the ship ACTUALLY started IMO, and Husk said ‘I ain’t interested pretty boy 😒’ in episode 4, the episode where Angel decides he’s ready to work on himself for real, THEN Husk starts seeing Angel in a different light. Husk never like… took advantage of Angel being high, that’s why- that’s the point of the ship .-. That Husk respects Angel ._. Feel like people are confusing a cat for a moth with that 😊

Pro shippers are gross. Pro shippers are like… the worst of the worst pedos, animal… ‘lovers’ .-. Calling someone a pro shipper because they ship Huskerdust, 2 grown adults, is stupid 😶

I have a defense of Jake

I dunno how liked Jake is here as an individual. But people didn’t like the poor guy on YouTube so… I’m here, hello hi 😊 my credentials are: I love Jake and I binged seasons 1 and 2 last week 😊

Jake is characterized as… well… gullible. Too trusting and too sensitive. But is that fair? … Yes 😓 I like Jake. But yes 😊 BUT! Okay, but >_> Jake… went through A LOT on Disventure Camp and before it. Before the show he said he recently ended a toxic relationship. And DURING the show, he lost his grandmother, who he really loved and cared, while he was on a reality show. He couldn’t see her, he couldn’t say goodbye >_<

THEN, a couple episodes, if not the next episode I don’t remember, later, he finds out his best friend, and crush, was lying to him the whole game. He’s already messed up emotionally from his grandmother passing, now this? Of course the guys gonna lash out >_>

Now, the part I think people were ACTUALLY upset at him about, The Ellie Thing, which extends into The Tom Thing. Now, listen. We saw Jake and Ellie bonding from the day Ellie transferred to the Teal Team. They became good friends. You can say what you want about him, but you can’t say he’s not loyal. he was loyal to the guys alliance with Dan and Tom, he was loyal to Miriam, and he WAS loyal to Ellie. I think it’s… fairly reasonable to expect the same loyalty in return.

Now, yes, it’s a game. But Jake never treated it as such. He forged GENUINE connections. With Miriam, with Tom of course, and, he thought, with Ellie. So, when his Good Friend Ellie tells him he overheard Tom saying horrible things, he doesn’t want to believe it. But he also doesn’t want to believe his Good Friend Ellie would blatantly lie to his face. And, let’s not forget, he did TRY to talk to Tom, but Ellie would NOT let him. Immediately after Ellie said her lie he said ‘I should go talk to Tom and get his side.’ but she shuts it down and feeds more to him. Now, again, was he being gullible? Yes 😊 that’s not the argument here, that he’s not gullible >_> the ARGUMENT is… the guy was FUCKED up from episode 5 all the way up until his elimination

Now time for ✨The Tom Thing✨ I would like to start this by saying… I legitimately love Jake and Tom as a couple. And I hope they get back together in All Stars. Call me delusional if you want, I don’t care 😊. With that saaaaid… Yeah Jake and Tom were uh… a little messy. To put it lightly. They started off as friends, and as the show went on they started flirting and they started to develop feelings for each other. Very cute :3 But the problems start when Jake finds out Tom was lying to him about being a spy and why he was even there. Now, you’re on tumblr. Chances are you have mental illness 😊 /j. Tell me you wouldn’t ALSO go down Jake’s train of thought? … Exactly, I would too >_>

We find out that due to Jake and Tom’s argument being uploaded to the internet, Tom was fired from his job. Jake immediately apologizes, or tries to, but is pushed away. Literally. Later that same episode they get to talk properly and Jake DOES apologize and promise to be better. Tom apologizes too and they promise to be better with communicating with each other. In the spirit of that, Tom tells Jake the real reason he was on the show, and his job, takes off his mask, he confesses he’s ashamed of his scars. Jake says he thinks Tom looks good and then they kiss, starting their relationship properly. Yay happy ending :3

… I wish >_> THEN, the aforementioned Ellie Thing happens. And, again, Jake, to his credit, DOES try to talk to Tom right up to the end but is always cockblocked by Ellie. Fiore and Alec, mostly Fiore, enact their own plan of exposing Ellie and making Tom use his Immunity Totem incorrectly on Jake which causes him to go home, with Tom blaming Jake for it because he believed Ellie and ‘didn’t try to hear his side’, when Jake did try >_>, but Tom was angry, I get it. On his way out, he yells at Jake to never talk to him again. If it seems like the official launch of their relationship didn’t last long it’s because it didn’t 😓 but not in a queer baity way, I don’t think.

Anyway, in conclusion: I love Jake. His character was genuinely interesting and sympathetic to me. Especially his storyline with Miriam, those were my favorite parts to see ☺️ Was Jake perfect? No. Did he make mistakes? Yes. Will he fix these mistakes in All Stars? He better >_> depending on how much time has passed between these seasons he really could have worked on himself, maybe even started therapy ☺️ I want the best for Jake and I want the best for Tom and I want the best for the both of them together because I love them together >_>

Ya know those visual novels with currency that makes you pay money to buy the best options? I hate those and I hate when I get genuinely sucked into them >_> I’m going somewhere 😊

Why aren’t there ever videos or even posts showing the premium choices? .-. I mean, okay, I’m sure they exist… but I have no idea where to find them >_> like The Arcana, or the Arcana stories on Dorian. I LIKE reading them. But I hate having to just… stop playing at every choice because I WANNA get the paid option but I have ✨nothing✨.

I wanna talk about Klance 😊 and this is my blog so I can do whatever I want 😊 Have I seen Voltron? No. Have I experienced Klance first hand? No. But I… have been on the internet. And that’s enough for me 😊

Again, I haven’t seen Voltron, I wanted to watch it but I never started it because just from like… being on the internet I heard how hard they fumbled with Klance and how poorly handled it was. And I know I shoulda watched to formulate my own opinion… but I couldn’t >_> I just- okay, I know that shippers can be crazy, and sometimes more than a little delusional. I’ve been there 🤷🏻‍♂️ but like… EVERYONE, from what I’ve seen, supported Klance .-. And Fandoms… NEVER unify like that. ESPECIALLY when it comes to shipping ._. And it’s not like Voltron was OPPOSED to queerness, they HAD a canon gay character .-. They even had said character get married and smooch his new husband on screen 😶

So like… what-what was the issue? ._. Circling back to ‘shippers are crazy’ 😊 Klance shippers apparently sent death threats to the creators. Which… obviously dumb, obviously don’t do that, obviously a big no no >_> makin us shippers look bad 😒 But did they not make Klance happen out of spite? 😶 Did they write those moments with a purely platonic bond in mind, but afterwards, like after it aired 😊, they were like ‘Uhhh… oops. That’s a little fruity 😶’ and if THAT was the case, after seeing that a romantic relationship between them would’ve been not only accepted by the fandom but a MASSIVE hit, why not just… lean into it and MAKE IT HAPPEN ._. The money prints itself, if nothing else .-. I’ve seen some clips and it’s giving ‘We kiss but it’s with socks on so it’s not gay 🤷🏻‍♂️. Huh? Oh yeah we’ve had sex, made love really. But it was with socks on. Not gay. Oh this? Yeah it’s a wedding band. But we said no homo before AND after we kissed passionately in front of our friends and family. So. Doesn’t count 🤷🏻‍♂️’ just… VERY in denial 😶

And like, a missed connection, or even like, mutual pining or one sided love thing even would’ve been fine. Just like… ACKNOWLEDGE it .-. Acknowledge that these two characters have INSANE chemistry ._. Have one of them be like ‘I have feelings for him but I can’t act on them because of the war and the uncertainty of life and blah blah blah’ Angst! Gays LOVE angst ._. Also where did they get the perception that Monty was a homophobe .-. Because let’s be honest, the Monty’s Vision people are USUALLY homophobes who don’t want queer people... to exist 😊 It’s always “It’s not JUST me who hates Bumblebee, Monty would be so pissed if he saw this happening >_>” Like... I watched some old behind the scenes videos from volumes 1 and 2 and he seemed... Like a legitimately sweet guy ._.

I... HATE Lila. Which is the point I know, we're supposed to, but I LIKE her as a villain. When she's a villain, she's a damn good one. Volpina, Chameleon, Hoaxer, she's an amazing and GENUINELY smart villain .-. OUTSIDE of that she is... INCREDIBLY frustrating .-. My frustration comes from what she's known for, her lies. Because Every. Single. One can be verified or proven wrong with a simple google search ._. Wasn't there literally an episode where Rose talks to Prince Ali on the phone and when she mentions Lila, Prince Ali says "I'm sorry I don't know who that is 😶" And then in Revelation we see how she starts her day and she's lying to strangers .-. For no reason ._.

I just- okay here's what I want. I want to know the why. Even if it IS as basic as "It's fun" I wanna know WHY she lies to literally everyone she comes across? WHY she has two completely separate moms, two completely separate lives .-. I just-I just wanna know WHY.

I’m gonna come out and say it...

Chloe isn’t evil! ._. She’s always been a bully, sure. But she’s always been, at most, annoying. The Chloe of these recent seasons.... Isn’t Chloe, I don’t think .-. Like, this is Lila wearing a Chloe skin >_> It bothers me because her character development in seasons 2 and 3 was perfect, even if it was  unplanned .-.

It bothers me because Chloe is the first person to successfully resist akumatization. Chloe was a great hero and she WAS becoming a better person .-. But because Thomas Astruc, who created the character, doesn’t like her he just erased it all for no reason ._. You should be happy a character of yours is getting a well received story arc ya know? .-. I haven’t been in this fandom since the beginning, so maybe I’m wrong, but I would be surprised if there was anyone who disliked that arc. I thought Chloe’s Hero Arc was very well done and felt natural. To wrap this up, I have to talk about a leak, so Season 5 Episode 14 spoiler warning under the cut

Apparently, according to the script for Episode 14 that was leaked, we find out that Chloe pulled a prank on Marinette when Marinette confessed her feelings to Kim that affected her so badly that she just... forgot it ever happened ._. Chloe caused Marinette PSYCOLOGICAL TRAUMA???? That is SO not her ballpark are you kidding me? ._. That’s why I said Chloe is now Lila wearing her skin because that’s more of a Lila scheme >_> Because the extent of Chloe’s bullying was like... name calling .-. Calling people losers or goodie two shoes. Not inflicting literal psychological trauma! Like they expect me to believe she’s always just been like that? “Oh you know Chloe, causing freakin... a mental breakdown” Like are you kidding? .-.

Edelgard’s relationship with Byleth in the other paths is weird .-.

I’m not sure how to best put this to… understandable terms. But I’m gonna try 😊 spoilers? I guess? I mean if you haven’t played 3 houses I’m not sure why you’re under the 3 Houses tag 😊 lol

Now, okay, Edelgard’s relationship with Byleth in the Black Eagles route is fine. They actually interact and get to know each other, Edelgard trusts Byleth with her second Crest and her trauma. THAT’S fine. It’s on the OTHER routes where it’s weird .-. And yes I HAVE played all of the routes so like… I know what I’m talking about here lol.

Edelgard… BASICALLY the only interaction Edelgard has with Byleth in the other routes is in scenes where all the lords are present, like the mock battle and battle of eagle and lion, and occasionally she’ll pop up in paralogues to give context. Like in Balthus and Hapi’s paralogue. Like that’s it .-. And yet in the other routes she still acts like you have this deep, meaningful connection ._. Like, I mean I can get it a little. Edelgard is thankful to Byleth for saving her life and feels a strong kinship and connection with them. But like, by that point Byleth, especially post timeskip, is solidly in their role in the other house.

Edelgard’s lines and cutscenes in the other routes are clearly meant to stir emotion in the player, like the ‘Your path lies across my grave’ cutscene, which was always weird to me, or ‘Facing you… I grow weak’ but I’m gonna be 100% honest, I feel literally nothing for Edelgard when I play the other paths .-. Like, again… Girl I get it, you’re grateful Byleth saved your life, and you felt a kinship. But it was 5 years ago and YOU started a war. I kind of… don’t care about your feelings 😊

Like the cutscene I mentioned before, ‘your path lies across my grave’ that one. It’s SO weird to me because we… literally know nothing about Edelgard in VW .-. I mean, we know SOME because she’ll pop up here and there in the Golden Deer route if I recall but like… not enough for me to get attached to her. And even then again, that was like… during the first part of the game. Why do you even care about Byleth anymore .-. Like, outside of Byleth being a threat strategically she shouldn’t STILL be hung up on the choice they made 5 years ago .-. They didn’t pick the Black Eagles… get over it ._.

As for ‘Facing you… I grow weak’ I, again, felt nothing 😶 maybe I’m just an emotionless monster, like the Hegemon Husk 😊, I just don’t… again I guess I just don’t understand why? She’s so attached to Byleth? Like, at that point I think she’s more attached to the IDEA of Byleth .-. If anything ‘Facing you… I grow weak’ should’ve been reserved for Dimitri. Consider she JUST remembered that Dimitri is her old childhood friend .-. Or, hell, even for Black Eagle characters. Like… Why Byleth? ._. I mean, okay, I know why. Fan service, the answer to all of my questions is fan service 🤷🏻‍♂️. But beyond that, I think in terms of like… in universe. Why? ._. Again, I know she felt a kinship right away. But like… It’s been 5 years, you’re emperor, and you literally instigated a war .-. Why are you still caught up on a professor you didn’t even have ._. It’s like being emotional to say good bye to a teacher you just passed in the hall sometimes. Like, sometimes, not even often .-.

And yes I know we get a BIT more Edelgard interaction in Azure Moon but it’s always in relation to Dimitri and THEIR relationship, not Edelgard and Byleth’s relationship. And also I dunno if it’s just me but from Edelgard specifically it comes off as kinda… disingenuous? Like Claude, for example, also wished you had chosen his house. But him saying it feels more authentic. I dunno what it is 🤔

SO I saw a post about someone saying a Talking Raccoon taking Yang’s arm was ableist. Of course it is 😊 Never mind the fact that nobody in the scene laughed at Yang’s story or circumstances. LITERALLY all that was said was “Right. That 😶.” Which... I dunno seems like a perfectly normal reaction to hearing that story .-. Yang didn’t look like she was hurt or upset. She just looked annoyed. So like, it’s not insensitive. It’s just... unbelievable ._. which is the point .-.

Ya know what else used someone taking off their arm as a gag? Toy Story. Is Toy story ableist? No no I want you to think before you answer. Is Toy Story ableist? If your answer was “No of course not 😶“ There ya go sweetie. Hey, ya know what ELSE used a raccoon taking a robot arm as a gag? Yay :3. Adam stans are a whole other breed .-. I may hate Ironwood with all of my being, but at least there’s a REASON to stand by him. He HAS done good before. Ironwood was introduced to us as an ally of Ozpin, he helped RWBY’s crew with upgrades when they arrived in Atlas, he gave them their Huntsmen licenses, I get it. James Ironwood HAS done good things, and it can be easy to cling to those previous actions. I get it.

Adam stans though....... What do y’all have to stand on? ._. Like... Genuinely .-. He’s ALWAYS been just... a murderous sociopath? Like... Even in the Black Trailer, yes he protects Blake during the fight but he’s also fully prepared to blow up the train with the crew members, who likely WERE Faunus or at least HAD Faunus because it was an SDC train, still inside. “Perfect. Move up to the next car. I’ll set the charges.” “But what about the crew members? 😨” “... What about them? 😏” That is the EXACT exchange that happens between them. Fully ready to murder completely innocent people for LITERALLY no reason .-.

And Adam just... Got worse from that point on? ._. Name a SINGULAR, objectively good thing he did, without bashing Yang or Blake .-. Because like I said, at least Ironwood Stans have a leg to stand on. Ironwood is a traumatized war veteran. And all of his paranoia was proven right, from his point of view, the second he was starting to feel comfortable. Like, yeah, that fuckin SUCKS.
