Now that Elizabeth has an official name I think it's only fair Donkey gets one as well

I think YeremyV proposed Donkey could be one of the children from pleasure island in Pinocchio but I'd like to see him play a more important role as Candlewick

The role he plays in Shrek 1 as the self oppointed best friend who leads the hero into trouble and self discovery is very fitting

In the original book Pinocchio and Candlewick meet again but Candlewick never turns back into a boy

Long story short, Candlewick is a nickname and his real name is Romeo!
