You think nothing? Nothing at all? You have an empty head? Here, let’s see. Yes. I hear the empty chamber echo. ... Did you touch my husband Catherine Gordon?

Hi! Do you like Jacob's performance of Henry in TWP?
Hello! I think Jacob did the best job he could do under the circumstances. I think his performance was good, his only problem is that the script, the source material he had to work with, was awful lol. But from the interviews I remember watching at the time he sounded very happy to play Henry VII! He mentioned his dad bringing home a snow globe featuring Westminster Abbey and then mentioned how it struck him that he was about to play the man who founded the Lady Chapel in that snow globe. Just going by the fact that he knows Henry VII built Westminster's current Lady Chapel you can see he did his research, and indeed Jacob mentioned reading a biography of Henry VII (I don't recall if he mentioned which one). Jodie Comer, the actress who played Elizabeth of York, also said Jacob knew lots about the Wars of the Roses, much more than she did in fact.
It seems like he's a history nerd like us :) so it's a pity that he didn't get to work with a well-researched and appropriately nuanced material but instead had to deal with a script that had Philippa Gregory (who turned Henry VII into a unidimensional villain in her novels) as their source. I think if it weren't for Jacob having so much interest/consideration for Henry VII we were bound to see an even flatter (or flatly cruel) Henry VII in that series. In my opinion, he's definitely the actor who played Henry the best in the context of Starz's Gregory trilogy. I would love to see Jacob play this historical figure again with a better script, though I think it's unlikely to happen.

_"A STAR IS BORN"_ wip exercises Fanart: Snow White (Snow White by Walt Disney); King Dice (Cuphead the game by mdhr studio / The Cuphead Show by Netflix); "Dandy" Jim (Dumbo by Walt Disney) So... I was doing some exercises sketching stuff about Snow White, and while I was drawing the crow in the 4rth image, Dandy Jim inadvertently came up to my mind... and the little crow started to dance. Then King Dice came to my mind, and I thought "ok Snow White can talk with lovely birds and teach them how and what to sing, but what if King Dice was able to to the same ? Crows are super intelligent animals and are able to mimic human voice!" So, yeah, that's how my mind works.

there really is something beautiful about rewatching adventure time and experiencing everyone's character development through how they all gradually start treating the ice king better as the seasons go
like watching him go from ice king to Simon regularly heals me as a person and gives me so much hope for the future of storytelling and humanity

Sorry if this is too intrusive, but do you know the KOW character’s sexualities? Just thought it would be funny if all three of the Starketeers were pansexual simps for their Asha lol
Okay so I always imagined if someone were to ask Aster “Do you like boys or girls” the conversation would go something like this
“I like Asha”
“Ah, so you like girls”
“What? No, ew, I only like Asha”
“… But Asha is a girl”
“Yeah I know”
“So that means you’re straight”
“First of all, how dare you?”
Case in point, Aster is “Ashasexual” /j
Lmao Imma say pansexual too
As for the rest, I can see Asha as Bisexual to be honest, and maybe even Demisexual.
Gonna take this opportunity to say Magnifico is canonically Bisexual
Before he met Amaya he saw himself as gay, but then after taking ONE look at her for the first time when she was a guest in the palace after being found adrift at sea, he ran out of the room, went to the first mirror he could find, and asked himself in cold sweat, shaking in fear
“Am I… Straight?”
But nah, he’s Bi.
Just to be like everyone else Imma say Hal and Bazeema are lesbians, as this seems to be common knowledge in the fandom.
Everyone else I’m not quite sure, yall share your headcanons and I’ll say if they hold up

also i think making the mundane guy version of pb a sweet, earnest baker who came up with the candy kingdom as a gimmick for his pastries instead of an arrogant stem bro with an IQ of a gazillion was a very good call. being a loner genius who thinks the miserable puzzle of existence can be solved through science and self-isolation is very a charming look on a woman (at least, i think so) but is almost always extremely insufferable when applied to a man.

What's your favourite portrayal of Henri the 7th?
Hi! There aren't many relevant depictions to choose from. He doesn't feature very heavily in documentaries and docudramas — see Britain's Bloody Crown (2016), and Royal Bastards: Rise of the Tudors (2021) for example — because he usually only shows up at the end for Bosworth. The same goes for the televised productions of Shakespeare's plays Henry VI part 3 and Richard III. So I'd say there are only four relevant depictions to choose from: The Shadow of the Tower (1972), The White Queen (2014), The White Princess (2017), and The Spanish Princess season 1 (2019). He also features in the first episode of The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1970) but he's only in like, three scenes in the first 30 minutes? To be honest, his adult version in The White Queen is also quite unremarkable, from what I remember? I seriously don't remember if he even gets a line as an adult. I don't think Michael Marcus looked anything like Henry VII, either.
From what we're left with, I don't think his depiction in The Spanish Princess was much evocative of what we know about Henry VII. Elliot Cowan with short curly hair and a full beard looked nothing like the historical figure, and even his personality is off: too impulsive, weak-willed and ordered about by his wife and mother. Jacob Collins-Levy in The White Princess comes closer to Henry VII's overall appearance, but he also suffers from a weak-willed personality. I think we see a bit more of his interiority: we get a sense of his piety and his love for his uncle, for example. Henry VII's personality is best depicted in The Shadow of the Tower, though, I'd say. We explore his piety (including his ideas on heresy), his ideas on kingship ("If we're not safe in one part of the kingdom we're not safe anywhere"), and get a better sense of his cleverness/abilities and principles. It's not a perfect depiction in my opinion, but it's the one that gets closer to what we know about the historical figure.
