Let it be known: Shiro has plenty of talent.

He can speak three languages (yes, Klingon counts), help lead a group of chaotic teens into becoming the universe’s heroes, fight with one arm tied…well, one arm, and is one of the rare few with the talent of waking a sleeping Holt (Pidge and Matt are demons in the morning).

So what if this one, little, itty-bitty thing he wasn’t so good at?

“Just keep reminding yourself, Shiro. You’re plenty talented,” he says to himself as he watches the smoke of what used to be an egg rise above the stove and seemingly head directly into the smoke detector.

As the fire alarm goes off for the third time this month, Shiro just sighs and sits down on the floor to wait for the fire department to arrive.

“Do we need to ban you from the kitchen again?”

Shiro blindly smacks his flesh arm around until it hits Adam. He smiles from where his head is leaned against their dining room table.

Ha! Gottem.

His fiance just snorts.

“Feel accomplished?”

“Very,” Shiro responds, finally lifting his head. Adam raises one nearly perfectly groomed eyebrow, waiting for Shiro to respond to his question. Said eyebrow would be finished had Adam not had to stop to see whether this alarm was real. Personally, Shiro thinks the situation explains itself, but Adam would never let it slide now that his self-care time is being eaten into.

“...I tried making an egg again…”

“So that’s what it was.”

“Addaaammm,” Shiro whines, leaning onto Adam’s shoulder and nearly sending them both to the ground.

“Takashi, this is on you. You know you can’t cook for shit. Why do you keep on trying?”

“I’m not that bad!”

Adam raises his other eyebrow this time. He actually had time to finish that one.

“I just sent the fire department away with cookies as a thank you for the holiday card they sent us. We know them so well they send us holiday cards, Takashi.”

“Maybe Daryl and Samantha are just nice people!”

“We know them all by name!”

Shiro sighs and closes his eyes. He lets himself be a lump as Adam struggles to move him so he can wrap an arm around Shiro. He isn’t letting the ‘you’re shit at it’ comment go so quickly.

“Maybe we can get you lessons?”

“We tried that. Now I’m banned from most places that offer classes, Hunk has me permanently banned from his kitchen, the Atlas kitchen, and the Garrison kitchen, and word got to the Holts so I’m banned from their kitchen on principle.”

Adam whistles.

“That’s…kind of impressive.”

“Adaamm-”

Adam shoves a hand over Shiro’s mouth before he can start whining again.

“Nope. You have to admit it, Takashi. This is just the one thing you’re not good at, and that’s okay. That’s what you have me around for,” Adam says, pressing a kiss to Shiro’s forehead.

His words lift some of the weight off Shiro’s shoulders. He nods and lets himself relax.

“You’re right.”

“I usually am.”

Shiro pinches Adam’s side, making the tan man yelp and jerk to the side.

“Woo-AH!”

Shiro tries to hold onto the table, but it’s too late. Adam’s chair tips over, and with his arm still around Shiro, he drags him down, too. Collapsing in a pile, Shiro feels the wind fly out of him.

They both take a moment to catch their breath, as given Adam’s weezing, the wind was knocked from him, too.

“You can’t even sit near the kitchen without something going wrong,” Adam finally says after a few moments of silence.

Shiro just covers his eyes and groans.

The Voltron "QueerBaiting" Drama is BS

First the fandom needs to calm the fuck down or leave.

Secondly, the whole queer baiting drama is bullshit. Queerbaiting is when you do not represent or state these characters as gay until the end of the show such as with legend of Korra, because it attracting a community desperate for representation. Voltron stated Shiro was queer, and he still is in show, Shiro was hurt by Adams loss but they had already broken up years in advance to the present day. Shiro has moved on but you can move on and still love someone deeply. We may see shiro's sexuality explored more, he may help Lance like many people theorize. I mean season 7 gave us insight into hunks culture and family traditions, like that was fucking amazing.

Anyway back to my point, yeah I am sad Adam died, I wanted to know more about his character, his personality, and we may see more of that in future seasons when Shiro has time to grieve for Adam properly.

If this season was about war and deeper meaning then we will get at least part of another season of them rebuilding their planet and allowing themselves to grieve for those hey loss. Sure there is a celebration, but everyone lost someone, as Shiro said in his speech. Heck maybe the gang goes and comforts Shiro after noticing he is overworking himself rather than grieving. Like there are possibilities.

There was representation in this season, between some bad ass lesbian galra pirates to Shiro and his relationship with Adam. It wasn't queer baiting y'all are just looking to pick a fight. Also the Voltron world has seen a world war 3 people, it's not our earth in the show it is a completely different one. Just maybe it's a better one we're being queer is normalized and that's why Shiro and Adam we're not screaming "I'm gay" constantly and instead IT WAS A REALISTIC RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO LOVING PARTNERS THAT WERE BOTH HURT BY SHIROS DECISION TO LEAVE.

I am about done with the threats towards those working on Voltron, and I am about to mother all y'all's asses and ground you from the fandom because honestly we can't have anything nice because of you, you know who you are, I am so disappointed in a fandom for such an amazing show. Criticism isn't threats, but threats are not criticism. Calm the fuck down Voltron fans.

Also one more note about this, if you message me "oh but I am not like this blah blah" and "not all fans are like this blah blah" yeah your right they are not all like this but your hear saying that trying to defend your ass, you are incriminating yourself as one of these toxic fans, think before you act.

// Edit: This is a rant, and also an open discussion, I am down to talk about anything relating to the fandom or show. I personally liked season 7 and think they did really well with what they had. I am just as fustrated as the next Voltron fan to see these awesome creators have threats thrown at them in an attempt to discourage them. This is my take, let me know yours. :)

///Edit #2: I understand this was very biased and done out anger that the VAs were getting threats over something they could not control. However know I understand that maybe some of the stuff that was addressed by the VAs didn't hit home just right on what they were asked and what I said is coming from a place of ignorance. So I am gonna learn from my mistakes and thanks to those who offered to teach me.
