Summary:
“I don’t- I don’t want this to end.” John whispers, instantly regretting saying the words out loud. He moves, sliding to the edge of the bed, and planting his feet on the ground. His naked chest forms gooseflesh and he feels the mattress dip as Sherlock moves.
It makes him flinch, when Sherlock’s hand rests on his shoulder, feeling Sherlock behind him.
“Why would it end, John?” Sherlock asks, voice questioning but soft. John bites his lip, shaking his head as he stares at the nightstand.
“John?” Sherlock shifts closer, his curls teasing John’s skin, breath warm against his shoulder and John blinks his eyes, suddenly wanting to cry.
“It’s okay, John. I’m here.”

It's always nice when I'm able to write a Johnlock ficlet. I did write it at 10 pm so I need to look back at it tomorrow and see if it's good enough or if it needs a bit of extra work. I had an iea in my head, but in my head, they were in college but I think I wrote it as them as adult, already at 221 B. Totally not canon compliant in any way.
“John. John? Are you awake?”
“Yes, Love. What’s wrong?”
“N-Nothing. Go back to sleep.” Sherlock whispers, smiling in the dark when John presses closer to his back, moving his leg up and down against Sherlock’s before settling again.
“John?”
“Yes, Sherlock?”
“Are you- Do you regret it?” Sherlock asks, so soft he hopes John doesn’t hear it but of course he does. He feels it in the way John’s body goes rigid, in the way he presses closer for a second.
“No, Love. No. I don’t. Do you?” John asks back, just as soft, his breath warm on Sherlock’s shoulder.
“No. No, I’ve wanted this for a long time.” Sherlock says, feeling John’s lips press a kiss on his shoulder, John’s hand stroking his chest and Sherlock sighs, body already reacting to the touches.
“Why did you ask, Love?” John asks, hand traveling down lower, over Sherlock’s belly, resting there and Sherlock shifts, pressing his arse against John and feeling his cock, already half hard.
“I just. I just wanted to make sure.” Sherlock says, breath hitching when John pushes forward, his hand going towards Sherlock’s groin, fingertips touching his pubic hair.
“Make sure?” John moves, whispering in Sherlock’s ear, licking the shell and it makes Sherlock moan, pressing a hand to his mouth to stop himself.

“Sherlock?” John moves, releasing him and Sherlock wants to kick himself for his reaction when John turns on the nightlamp, everything coming into the light.
