Donna Troy and Spring
What’s it like being with Donna Troy in the spring? Requested by @sheimagineddragons
Firstly, spring is seen as the time of new beginnings and new birth
thus, expect Donna to adopt at least one nest of baby birds in the city
she will go out of her way to watch out for them by shooing away possible predators and other humans, and protect them as much as she can
she will also watch the baby birds grow up with a sense of pride, and will probably cry when they first learn to fly
during this time, you will have to make sure to remind her to drink water and eat because she is likely to forget about her own needs
that being said, when the baby birds do move out of the nest, Donna will take your hand, watch the birds with tearful eyes, and tell you she’ll never love another family of birds as much as she loves this one (this will be the same speech about different birds every year, mind you)
just pat her head, kiss her forehead, and tell her you know. she’ll be very grateful for any comfort you can provide her
When spring arrives, so does rain
on rainy mornings, Donna will sit by the window and take pictures of the outside world through the window and tell you how amazing it is to see the world through a clouded perspective
the two of you will sit and talk about the plants you hope will grow, drink tea, and read for a bit
when the rain isn’t that heavy, just a light mist or drizzle, the two of you will go outside and dance around, laughing and jumping in small puddles
after, Donna will light candles and the two of you will sit on the couch huddled under blankets and warm up so you don’t catch a cold from the rain
Some days will be sunny, though
Donna will absorb each sunny day as a breath of fresh air
she’ll walk around the city and take pictures of all the new growth she sees
if you go with her, she’ll have you stand next to trees regaining their leaves and sit in a field of blooming flowers as she takes a variety of photos

“Oh you are fucking kidding me.”
Zuko’s head snapped up, his eye widening in disbelief before narrowing in annoyance and then rolling in boredom. “Amaruq.”
“Hinata.” Sokka grouched, ignoring the brief flutter of relief in his chest at seeing that familiar scowl.
“I thought I got rid of you in Greece.” Zuko complained boredly, going back to typing on his laptop. Because of course he happened to be in the same random cafe in Rome that Sokka had stumbled upon on his walk.
“I thought I lost you in Greece.” Sokka snapped back, begrudgingly dropping into the open seat across from him.
As much as they didn’t like each other, they’d agreed around the third time they’d run into each other to stick together if it happened again (and it did happen again), both favouring familiar company over a petty feud.
Besides, it wasn’t Sokka’s fault Zuko had a stick up his ass.
Zuko would argue that Sokka was the one with a stick in places it shouldn’t be.
“So, what are you doing here?” Sokka eventually asked, sometime after he’d gotten a coffee, unable to sit in silence for too long before he started getting antsy. Zuko, annoyingly, had gotten used to it, but he still sighed to keep up appearances.
“I wanted to go see the Laurentian Library.” He answered shortly, and Sokka wanted to laugh because of course.
Zuko looked up from his laptop and his expression blanked. “You’re kidding.”
“Guess we’re going together.”

The thing about Sokka and Zuko is that there was a reason they kept ending up in the same cities. Sokka was a huge art nerd, and had saved up for practically his whole teenage life to be able to travel around the world. Zuko, similarly, was a huge fan of history and was doing the same thing, except he’d used his inheritance.
Their feud had started in Japan, where they’d argued for long enough about the original date of a piece of art that they’d been kicked out of Tokyo National Museum.
Neither of them had gotten an actual answer, which just kind of added salt to the wound.
Then they’d run into each other again in the Netherlands, and then again in Spain where they’d finally admitted that as much as the other guy sucked, at least they actually knew each other so they may as well stick together.
Something had changed in Greece though, when they’d visited the temples together and talked about more than the history and the art and had actually learned about each other.
And then Zuko had said something totally incorrect about a statue of Athena and Sokka had haughtily corrected him, which lead to a Tokyo National Museum-esque argument where Zuko had declared that Sokka was an uncultured idiot and Sokka had asked how his mouth tasted after spewing all that bullshit.
It had taken an alarming amount of self restraint for Zuko to hold back his response of “Why don’t you kiss me and find out?”
A day later, Sokka hadn't quite been able to figure out why he'd gotten onto his plane feeling like he'd left something behind.

They met up at the Laurentian Library the next day, and partway through Zuko's excited speech about the historical context of the building, Sokka had sighed fondly and blurted "I think I'm in love with you."
After a second of shocked silence, Sokka quickly attempted to bury his confession with everything he knew about Michelangelo, hoping they'd get close enough to a group of people that Zuko wouldn't be able to confront him.
Not that that had really stopped them in the past.
Before he could get very far, a hand wrapped around his arm, pulling him to a stop before turning him around. Zuko had a soft look of wonder on his face as he cupped Sokka's cheek. "Just- shut up for a second will you?" He chided gently, before tilting Sokka's chin up slightly with his knuckle and pressing their lips together.

sorry they aren’t super good—I’m not the best artist ever—but I had fun! unfortunately, since I have been drawing with pen, i did not have brown for their hair or their eyes :/ so I had to do black hair and blue eyes :/ I wish it wasn’t so but I had already colored their clothes in when I realized I did not have brown and it looked too weird without the hair colored in.

the reason zuko doesn't call azula "zuzu" back to her is because lu ten used to call them both zuzu. after lu ten's death, zuko stopped using the nickname because it used to be a lighthearted thing and now it's just bringing up memories of someone who's gone
(azula keeps using the nickname because in her mind, it's a way to keep lu ten's memory alive when no one seems to be avenging his death like they should.)

I feel like Titans!Jason would reenact scenes from plays to make you smile, and sometimes you both would do scenes together.
Like, imagine you both reenacted the scene with Belle and Scrooge from A Christmas Carol and after the scene is done, he just pulls you into a big hug since the emotions were so high.
(I've imagined this a lot).

Leaving home for the first time was scary, terrifiying. Travelling in a stranger’s ship with a group of strangers as the crew only made matters worse, but luckily, you had someone there to help you. This sweet boy called Henry had immediately noticed your anguish and hadn’t hesitated to comfort you.
Nightmares haunted you every night, and Henry had been kind enough to offer lying down with you in the hopes that it would ease your strife even while you slept.
You lied down in the bed together, being surprised by how normal it felt despite barely knowing each other. Feeling his warmth next to you was reassuring, and you felt safe knowing he was only there to help.
Just when you thought sleep had escaped you that night, you felt a deep unease nestling in your heart. Before you knew it, you were being haunted by harrowing images of what could happen during the travel. The ship could sink, you could be attacked, you could get lost at sea... There were so many things that could go wrong...
“Y/N...” A gentle voice called you, just as a soft hand shook your shoulder. “Y/N, wake up”
You opened your eyes in startle, only then realizing you had succumbed to exhaustion and fallen asleep. Once the veil of sleep slowly drifted, you recognized Henry’s face staring at you in concern. He lied down on his side, facing you, as his arm timidly fell around you.
“Henry...” You whimpered, clutching his shirt and begging for comfort.
“It’s alright” He whispered in return, providing you with that comfort by gently pressing you against him. “It was just a nightmare”
“N-No...” You sobbed, hiding your face on his chest. “The ship was sinking... what if it sinks? What if-?”
“It won’t” Henry dedicated you tender smile that managed to ease your nerves slightly. “The captain knows what he’s doing, even if it may not look like it”
You chuckled in spite of yourself, taking a few deep breaths and lingering on his delicate touch. Tiredness washed over your weary body and mind again.
“Go back to sleep” Henry rubbed soothing circles in your back. “I’ll watch over you”
You sighed, focusing on his reassurance and trying to forget about everything else, all those awful thoughts that plagued your mind. As he continued to kindly rub your back, you allowed yourself to abandon to sleep once more, giving in to the emotional exhaustion and feeling safe in his arms.
