How I make art in classic style using Krita and ShaderGlass
This is how I started drawing Rocko from Rocko’s Modern Life, no 90′s classic effects tho, this was drawn in Krita. To make 90′s classic effect, do this below:
I used Gaussian Blur, both 1.56 on Horizontal and Vertical Radius.
Almost all set, all I have to do is the perlin noise. I added light gray background, used.
Alright, since this noise is too colorful, I removed the colors using saturation paint brush in gray color.
I also modified the layer effect and opacity
Now what?
I’m gonna be using ShaderGlass for now.
Shader is like this: (tvout+ntsc+320px-svideo, x1, 100%, ~1)
And voila!

so your hd trilogy looks like shit
very glad im not the only person who holds this opinion because every time i look at the hd sprites i feel like im losing my mind. i have absolutely no idea who thought it was a good idea to go in and trace the original sprites with like. what. a marker????? and throw out all the nuance of the cel shading for some reason. foaming at the mouth punching the air etc.
but honestly unless you have a working ds theres not much of an alternative right? because raw ds footage on a high res computer screen ALSO looks like shit! well boy do i have a treat for you
download desmume. idk if its the best ds emulator out there but frankly its the first one that shows up on google so thats the one i use. it works well enough
emulate any of ace attorney 1-4. legally i cannot tell you how to do this but well it sure is easy!
download shaderglass. this program is a little bit clunky to work with but once you get the hang of it it's a neat little novelty for your computer and makes playing old/stylized games way more fun. here's a test screenshot i got from stardew
4. use this shader on desmume (or any shader you feel like using there's plenty to choose from. experimentation is the spice of life)
5. congrats now your game looks epic and you don't have to look at talk sprites that were drawn with crayola markers
im too lazy to replay the game so that i can get other screenshots but tbh i think ive made my point. go try it for yourself live be free

going in circles
there is one goal i've been trying to reach, and i'd say i've been attempting on and off for a couple months now
as i continue making videos, i continue developing my style and vision i want for how i want my videos to, well, actually look. after watching petscop, i think i know what one thing i want to heavily include in my videos. an ntsc filter. the ntsc filter in petscop looks fucking fantastic, and woah, the shaders are just out there and already existing! i'll just download them!
and now for the hard part that i didn't think would be hard
how do i put this on video
see ideally, i thought there would be some plugin for applying these shaders easily, and there kind of is. it's called isf for motion (i use final cut pro), and supposedly it allows you to put glsl shaders onto apple motion and final cut timelines. however, i never figured out putting the libretro ntsc shader into it, so i gave up.
so now on the windows end, considering i have a desktop
there is a program that fucking does this (kind of). it's called shaderglass, and it lets you apply any libretro shader over your windows desktop. however, it does not allow you to outright render video, or let alone work on mac or let you put into editing software.
i tried some other solutions, but none worked
so now my ideal outcome; make a version of shaderglass (considering it's open source) that i can drop into fcp or davinci or premiere, and have it let me put libretro shaders over video with one layer.
i am not nearly experienced enough at c++ to do this, nor do i have the knowledge to create plugins for editing software
i guess i kind of need some kind of jumping off point, some kind of kickstart to figure out what i need to learn to do any of this. i wish there was more documentation i can easily access and process that surround this stuff, but my findings have come up my dry.
if anybody has any tips or easier ways to do this, let me know please.

90's anime & crt (filter)
Behold, the power of watching retro anime on a CRT filter! This was insanely easy to run. The program is called shader glass, and I have found crt-maximus-royale to be my favorite. The same filter that makes retro video games look better!

playlist cover I made for a personal inspiration playlist
used abandonware from the 80s for the (almost) self-portrait, running on MiniMacintoshPlus emulator then ran through ShaderGlass

Hey there! What art program do u use?
I use Clip Studio Paint! (The EX-version in particular, though good to note that I got that one much cheaper from sale ages ago and Pro-version is just as good imo.)
For most of the VHS-effect stuffs in my arts, I use small programs like ShaderGlass and ntscQT! :)
And for any actual 3D-modeling stuff, I just use Blender.

With the power of a free program called Shaderglass, I can now give W0rld that authentic V-pet look. It also makes the grass color a lot less harsh. I'll never play w0rld without it again... although it does have a weird effect of turning certain shades of blue into pink. Seadramon has a pink body for example, but I can live with it for this.
Also i'm getting much more into w0rld ever since I found out how to make battles actually mean something for your irl v-pet. So that's cool. I don't know what to do in the game at the moment though. I guess i'll find something new to do in the Metal Desert since it's the only available area i've not explored yet.

TMNT 2003 4K | Episode 5 Redone
Don - My name is Donatello, and I'm usually into building things. This particular thing, I'd like to take apart, real fast… before it takes us apart.
Episode 5 and previous episodes can be found for free on my page under the ‘Upscales’ section.
The Turtles are here! At a reasonable time too. There's lots of talk about A.I lately which makes this a good episode for today. How far should we push the limits, how should we use it, how would it know right from wrong? Well, don't worry about it! Watch Episode 5! Please enjoy!
Boring stuff - I've changed the theme for my page. I did not like anything I found so I just went with the default. It's much more readable and just works better. The 20th anniversary of the show is coming up on the 8th. I'm going to have a tiny bit extra on that day, nothing big so don't get too excited. If you're using ShaderGlass when you watch and like Hyllian curvature try using Geom with x1 pixel size. You'll get cleaner lines with a more subtle CRT effect.
