Employment Minister Randy Boissonnault says while Alberta is legally allowed to withdraw from the Canada Pension Plan, doing so would be a “one way ticket,” with no chance of return. Alberta’s UCP has been mulling the idea of leaving the CPP and forming its own pension plan since 2020, but Premier Danielle Smith recently took the next step by releasing a report about a plan to do so and saying public feedback would determine the need for a referendum. Boissonnault told CTV’s Question Period host Vassy Kapelos in an interview airing Sunday that once a province chooses to withdraw from the CPP, it kicks off a timeline laid out in the 1965 legislation and can’t be undone. “If Albertans decided a referendum to pull out of the CPP, they will be able to do that, but it's a one way ticket,” said Boissonnault, who is also an Alberta MP. “You don't get to come back, that's also very clear in this legislation,” he also said, adding he believes Alberta’s withdrawal would be “destabilizing.”

I haven't rly talked about it here but here's some of the art I've made for my animatronic pizza place concept, coyote pizza! it's based on the idea that nolan bushnell went with his original concept for a place called coyote pizza and that creative engineering made the animatronics for it like originally intended. past that they're basically just my ocs lol

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) calls on all revolutionary and democratic organizations in the Philippines and around the world to rally around the Palestinian people as they mount armed resistance to drive away the fascist occupying forces of Israel from their land.
Hamas is one of the leading political organizations which advances the struggle of the Palestinian people. The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades is its military organization. Whoever vilifies the armed resistance of the Palestinian people as “terrorism” is in league with the U.S. imperialists and all its cohorts. To establish its hegemony and control of oil in the Middle East, the U.S. imperialists colluded with the Zionists in Israel to obscure and downplay the just aspiration of the Palestinian people for freedom and self-determination.

going in circles
there is one goal i've been trying to reach, and i'd say i've been attempting on and off for a couple months now
as i continue making videos, i continue developing my style and vision i want for how i want my videos to, well, actually look. after watching petscop, i think i know what one thing i want to heavily include in my videos. an ntsc filter. the ntsc filter in petscop looks fucking fantastic, and woah, the shaders are just out there and already existing! i'll just download them!
and now for the hard part that i didn't think would be hard
how do i put this on video
see ideally, i thought there would be some plugin for applying these shaders easily, and there kind of is. it's called isf for motion (i use final cut pro), and supposedly it allows you to put glsl shaders onto apple motion and final cut timelines. however, i never figured out putting the libretro ntsc shader into it, so i gave up.
so now on the windows end, considering i have a desktop
there is a program that fucking does this (kind of). it's called shaderglass, and it lets you apply any libretro shader over your windows desktop. however, it does not allow you to outright render video, or let alone work on mac or let you put into editing software.
i tried some other solutions, but none worked
so now my ideal outcome; make a version of shaderglass (considering it's open source) that i can drop into fcp or davinci or premiere, and have it let me put libretro shaders over video with one layer.
i am not nearly experienced enough at c++ to do this, nor do i have the knowledge to create plugins for editing software
i guess i kind of need some kind of jumping off point, some kind of kickstart to figure out what i need to learn to do any of this. i wish there was more documentation i can easily access and process that surround this stuff, but my findings have come up my dry.
if anybody has any tips or easier ways to do this, let me know please.

Does anybody know a way to find all divisions by a non-constant value in a C++ project? It seems like LSP or clang analyze or something should be able to do this, and it would be great for improving divide-by-zero resilience
Otherwise I gotta check all these by hand...

Hi all.
Today I want to share the result of many days of work.
I finished making a character input field for my application. And although some text editing capabilities are not available, the required minimum is present.
The following text editing options are currently available:
Typing.
Deleting characters using the backspace key.
Moving the carriage between characters.
Selecting characters using the Shift key.
Copying, cutting, pasting characters using the keys Control + C, Control + X and Control + V. Using the clipboard.
The next thing I want to do is read some books about C++. And then continue working on the project.

Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Andrew Furey happened to be in the Fort McMurray area of Alberta when he learned the details of the province's recent announcement about pensions. On Thursday, Alberta released a report focused on the possibility of establishing an Alberta-only pension plan. "We're still doing an analysis," Furey said in an interview of his reaction to the announcement. "And it's rudimentary at this particular moment in time, but I think what is accepted is it would be punitive to many different jurisdictions around the country." Furey said it would be premature to draw any conclusions without doing a more robust analysis from Newfoundland and Labrador's perspective, but one thing was clear to him. "I think it's safe to say you can't withdraw half of the CPP and not expect to have a ripple effect across the country," he said. The Alberta report stated that the province may be entitled to a $334-billion asset transfer from the Canada Pension Plan in 2027, which would represent more than half of the fund's estimated total net assets.
