Dani travel alone.

That's how it is.

Dani travel alone, and she visits from time to time, and then she goes away again.

There's nothing Jazz can do about it. Or want, honestly. She never really got to know that girl who looks like her brother. And that suits her just fine.

But one thing that Dani does - one thing she keeps - is calling them.

No matter where she's going, she calls at least once a week. At first she used to ask strangers to let her call her sister, saying that she's lost. But at her first visit, Jazz and Danny got her a smartphone.

It wasn't new, or branded. But it was ecto-resistant, and could connect to any WiFi network, and that was enough.

So Jazz wasn't especially worried the first week they heard nothing from Dani. At the second week, she started chewing her lips. But it wasn't unknown from Dani to go out in the woods and miss a call because she forgot about the days.

But during the third week, Tucker's bug at the GIW network got something about a new subject. An on-going experiment. A deeper investigation earned them a photo of a familiar child.

A photo and a name. A subject name. Because "it" wasn't a child. "It" wasn't a person.

"it" was a creature, and therefore free for the taking.

(Looking for the subject's name brought more information. And videos. A glowing figure in heavy shackles. A small figure, green slowly dripping as a clinical voice talks about findings.

But after all, it was enough to get them a location, and coordinates. Enough to know where to go.)

the one thing i did draw digitally while being taken care of in a clinic, was "vessel" their new , more offical, name i guess, since we usually only called them nichizora as far as we could tell they existed to some extend its a messy drwaing, just like any other drawing of vessel, but i love the shakels and how they came out this time around, the softness of it all due to the glows and such :) -liam

Hatchett’s foot presses into my back; no matter what I do, I can’t move. I can’t get to her. I’m helpless. I’m useless.

Maybe that’s all I’ve ever been—failing Jamie, failing IA, and now I’m going to fail Bree, too.

“It’s useless, thief,” Hatchett says, as if he can read my thoughts. “You’re with me. Michaelson stays with Miss Cooper. And how the rest of this meeting goes depends entirely on you. Are you ready?”

“You’re insane,” Bree says, her breath heaving and uneven. “You’ve gone completely mad. Fox, don’t tell him—don’t—don’t fucking tell him anything—please, I—no matter what, I just w—”

Hatchet tuts and shakes his head. The shine of brass buttons winks through the entire room, blinding, making my head spin. “That’s enough out of you, Breanna. Michaelson, if you’d be so kind…”

Michaelson doesn’t hit her again, but he shoves closer, forcing her to scrabble as best she can away from him, with no success.

“For fuck’s sake, leave her alone!” I throw myself upwards, and I almost knock Hatchett off-balance.

In Chinese culture , clementines , known for their bright orange , waxy exterior , were symbolic of gold , & by extension , wealth , good fortune & abundance . Trees that bear clementines ( or mandarins , as they're also known as ) are often used to decorate the thresholds of Chinese households as a sign of good luck & prosperity .

As lucky as Clementines may be , so are you & those around you . With a sunny disposition , & a knack for seeing the best in everyone , & the good in the world around you , you’re someone who believes that the glass is always half full . Things can always be worse , & they will always get better , one way or another ! Like the vibrant clementines , you're known for bringing light to those who need it , & always bringing laughter to your friend group . However , such a bright exterior can sometimes hide a deep & lingering sadness . Remember : even the light sometimes has to dim , & even the sun has to set . Don't worry ; it'll always come back .

Aventurine~

Pomegranate

The pomegranate is most famously attributed to the Greek goddess , Persephone . Though versions of the story differ : with some of them saying that Persephone was tricked into eating the pomegranate seeds , in order for her to become trapped in the underworld , & some saying she willingly chose to eat the seeds .

Pomegranate's have a hard exterior that is tough to crack . Your hard shell is a natural protectant & keeps you safe from those that only wish to use you . Internally you are rich with bounties . You believe in living your life passionately & vibrantly . The idea of surrendering to a fate of being confined to anything , whether it be a relationship , a job , or family dynamic where you are not happy & lack agency is a terrifying prospect . It is fears like this which also prevent you from opening up & showing vulnerability to those around you . However , like the pomegranate whose seeds sparkle like gemstones , you hide inside you incredible beauty that only the most worthy deserve to see .

He has no friends or family or home to go back safely to.#But I headcanon strongly that his deeper hidden motivation - that not even he realizes - for going to Penacony is because he wanted a way #of being free from the IPC while still being loyal to them & dying would accomplish that.#‘Some say Persephone willingly chose to eat the seeds.’#Kind of like Aventurine chose to become a Stoneheart. He ASKED Jade for a chance to prove himself. So he could live.#But doing that simply transferred his shackles of ownership from his previous master to the hands of the IPC.#Like Persephone. She got to escape her overbearing mother but the trade off for ‘freedom’ was being trapped in the Underworld.#Hell even Aventurine’s character descriptions say you never know how he really feels because he wears a MASK.#He’s always smiling & friendly. Consider: if you can't solve a problem, it probably means you're playing by the rules. For me, that's been the case. Some of the best compositions have been written by breaking the fundamental laws of music. Food for thought.
