Sephiroth himself, being a public figure in the ff7 world, is a meme. The in-world SOLDIER fandom may love him, but no one is immune to internet culture's rampant need to meme the hell out of everything. The best Sephiroth memes include:

"I like twinks" -> During an interview he was asked what kind of sugary treats he liked. He forgot the word for Twinkies.

Sephiroth can't read -> Due to his child-like way of pointing at and mouthing along to whatever he's reading, online rumors began circulating that the beloved General can't actually read.

Sephiroth sitting on a sephi-rock -> Genesis posted a selfie of himself on the field one day. In the very far background Sephiroth is seen sitting on a rock looking contemplative. This image is used as a reaction image all the time.

"He's fine. He's dead, but he's fine" -> Said during a Zack vlog, when a bird flew against the window in Angeal's office and scared them all.

Sephi-yuck -> During a talk show apparence with Angeal and Genesis, the boys were asked to try out a cookie brand sponsoring the show. Because of Sephiroth's inability to keep a straight face when he's eating something gross, the grimacing Sephi-yuck reaction image was born.

Persephone was always considered a lucky girl. She had always thought she was fine doing this whole gig independently, it was what her brand was built on after all, but it seemed almost unattainable now.

Her parents, noticing her exhaustion. advised her to do a social-media lockdown, paying for a room at a hotel in a small town considered off-the-grid. So she found herself in Anophtopia, ready to relax before she digs her heels into the LA Influencer lifestyle, fighting tooth and nail to keep her crown.

OOC Note: This post is a little long but @sehunxbt and I wrote it to give you the possibility to see more of “ Sephie “. It’s not much and I’m pretty sure that no one asked for it but it’s been a lot of fun and whoever is interested in how Sehun and Sophie interact, this is a ( SMALL ) insight into the couple and their interaction ! Sophie’s parents are also briefly mentioned so by reading this you will learn ( A LITTLE ) about Sophie and her family. It’s not too detailed to avoid this becoming too long, but I still like it. Thank you to everyone reading this !

A fanaccount watched the V-Live by Sehun and Sophie and put a small summary online. The original video is also available on Mellow’s official YouTube channel. Read below what happened in the video.

Right after Sophie’s showcase there was a V-Live happening with the female idol, her boyfriend and even her parents who came from New York to support their daughter ! The four people were sitting on a couch in one of the building’s waiting rooms and Sophie was holding the camera with a selfie stick, making sure that everyone was in the picture during the beginning of the live session. They started off with greeting the viewers and Sophie’s enthusiasm was very cute. Despite performing for hours and talking a lot during the showcase, she was in front of the camera and talked to the fans once again, especially to those who couldn’t attend her showcase that day. She told everyone that she was very happy to see the faces of so many fans at the showcase today and that she hopes that next time there will be more and hopefully also new faces.

Then she pointed the camera towards her parents with the words " Today we have some special guests here, say ’ Hello ’ to the people watching us " and the two adults immediately smiled and waved their hands as a greeting. Sehun was quick to add that his girlfriend had no idea her parents were going to show up ! He made sure to also note that this was “ all his idea ”, a cocky yet playful comment that had Sophie gaze at him both with amusement and love.

Just from watching them I could tell that Sophie got her looks from her mom, she’s just as beautiful as her daughter. She smiled warmly at the camera while Sophie’s dad looked stern, even with a smile on his face. He seemed intimidating at first due to his tough appearance, but he warmed up quickly during the V-Live and let fans know how proud he was of his daughter and her work. He also praised the song Sehun and Sophie wrote together, mentioning how he’s going to be very disappointed if the male won’t marry his daughter, making everyone laugh. Watching him speak about Sophie and her accomplishments it was obvious that he loves and adores his daughter, and that caused Sophie to tear up a little. Sehun was immediately wrapping his arms around her once he realized that. It was a very heartwarming and cute scenario, as expected from such a sweet couple.

Sehun began reading the stream of comments. Clearly, he was a fast reader as he reacted to several, even repeating some of them. “ Hey, a lot of people are asking if Mr. and Mrs. Hwang like me. ” He gave a brief look at them with a grin before responding, “ I think they TOLERATE me. ” His answer was enough to receive several complains from the family, debunking his words completely. “ I’m kidding, they like me and I like them. Why else would I bring them here? ” It was funny watching the contrast between Sophie and Sehun, the two distinctly different in personality and mannerisms. While Sophie spoke formally and used animated hand gestures, Sehun was more composed and quiet, only making jokes or nodding. Many fans were interested in their future plans and if they were really getting married, but they appeared to be either ignoring them or not seeing them. Either way, they look genuinely happy together and whoever is skeptical about whether or not they are dating for publicity: watch the stream !!

Many of the other questions were about where they were going after the stream, or if they were doing more music together. Sophie was quick to answer the latter, saying that she was hopeful about making more music in the future with him and even doing a full-on collaboration project.

Towards the end of the stream, you could tell “ Sephie ” became increasingly more comfortable in front of the camera as they subconsciously sat closer together. Sehun seemed like he was even called out by one of his fans for secretly trying to play with her hair, as he randomly smiled and lifted a strand of her hair up in the air before letting it go in surrender—Sophie completely oblivious of this of course. After Sophie thanked the audience for supporting her, he also added his thanks towards the fans as well as her parents for joining them in Korea. “ Sophie has to go re-apply her makeup now, since she cried in front of you all. ” He chimed, dodging a smack from not only Sophie but her mom as he escaped and went out of frame.

We’ll be seeing more of this lovely couple on Hello Counselor next week, so stay tuned !

Pretty Market Card Captor Edition

Este domingo 17 de febrero tuvo lugar el Pretty Market Card Captor Editon. Es apenas la segunda edición del evento, pero superó con creces al primero.

Desde diciembre, cuando las chicas de Kira Kira Eventos, quienes son las organizadoras del evento, se me acercaron para proponerme un espacio para un taller de escritura creativa, no dudé ni un segundo en aceptar. ¡Hacía años en que no se me presentaba la oportunidad de dar taller! (Si les interesa el dato: el último que impartí fue por ahí del 2013, en Sembrado Letras, del Tec de Monterrey).

Así que llevaba meses muy emocionada por la expectativa, y más cuando las redes oficiales del evento lanzaron este banner promocional:

Con la fecha acercándose, yo iba afinando algunos detalles, como mi vestuario, que en esta ocasión le comisioné a My Shining 5 Stars ♡

Es tan bonito y esponjosito que me hizo sentir una especie de panecito ; w ;

Pero, claro, como no es novedad en mi vida: ocurrió una sorpresa. Unos días antes del evento, Tonny Bot me escribió para ofrecerme un espacio en el área de clubs de la ZOMBIE FEST 2019. Mis vecinos incluirían a los fans regiomontanos de Supernatural, Harry Potter y Divergente. Aunque no podía imaginarme a mis niñas mágicas y princesas trágicas en medio de zombis y payasos demoníacos, decidí tomar la oportunidad que se me presentaba.

La última vez que acudí a un evento del tipo del Zombie Fest seguía en secundaria, y acudí precisamente para comprar playeras y accesorios que me ayudaran a sentirme la reina gótica que quería ser. Por lo que en realidad no tenía ni idea de qué esperar.

Pero el evento estuvo muy relajado, y como conté con el apoyo de mi hermano a la hora de las ventas…

… yo pude concentrarme en promocionar mis libros, socializar con los miembros de los clubs vecinos y conocer un poco más de lo que está de moda ahorita en los medios del entretenimiento.

Al final del día, varios libros de Legendme I y II encontraron su hogar y yo terminé casi afónica, ya que, durante todo el evento, la canción tema de “Los Cazafantasmas” y la de “Thriller” se mantuvieron en repetición, a todo volumen. Pero el dolor de garganta no me iba a detener, aunque al día siguiente me tocara dar mi ansiado taller.

Estamos en 2019 y yo sigo sin saber cómo tomarme selfies, jaja.

Al amanecer del domingo 17 no traía casi nada de fuerzas. Mi garganta había mejorado, pero el resto de mi cuerpo resintió el evento anterior y mis pies apenas si podían arrastrarme por mi casa. Pero al fin había llegado el gran día y yo debía de ponerme “seria”.

Con mi material, vestido nuevo y la clara idea de pasármela bien, me fui a Cintermex.

Desde un inicio, supe que todo iba a estar bien y que el día iba a estar lleno de ventas y de actividad. Vi a amigas mías, tan acarreadas como yo, y todas nos deseamos lo mejor.

Apenas se abrieron las puertas y los visitantes entraron, comenzaron a llegar personas en busco de Legendme 3 ; w ; Eso me hizo especialmente feliz, pero también me dolió porque no pensé que ya fuera a haber interesados y… pues no he terminado el libro x’D Pero prometo que este año le doy punto final u_ú (Aunque advierto que no sé si eso signifique esté “publicable”, jajaja. Pero por algo se empieza, ¿no?)

Lectores nuevos llegaron y se llevaron precuelas y niñas mágicas al por mayor. Lectores de otras ocasiones llegaron y me obsequiaron libros, dibujos y hasta rosas ♡

Incluso me encontré con lectoras de secundarias que llevaron a sus mamás para que me conocieran y señoras que se acercaron a presentarme a sus hijas, quienes también escriben y/o son fans de las chicas mágicas y están buscando meterse en el mundo creativo.

Espero que mis trabajos les sirvan como base de que sí, sí se puede ♡

Diana K me regaló está Sephi haciendo cosplay de Mew Ichigo ; A ; Si algún día quisiera tatuarme, neta que este dibujo sería mi primera elección ; w ;

Mi taller estuvo muy concurrido. ¡Me hizo muy feliz todo el interés que despertó! Y, aunque sólo contamos con una hora, quiero pensar que los participantes se llevaron buenas ideas para trabajar sus propias historias más adelante. Me encantaría repetirlo ♡

Lamentablemente para mí, a la misma hora que mi taller hubo una conferencia impartida por Lolita Fashion Monterrey que me hubiera encantado escuchar. Pero pues ni modo. Al menos alcancé a pedirles una foto a algunas de las chicas antes de que se fueran.

Y cabe mencionar algo que me gustó mucho que lograron los organizadores fue que el sonido EN NINGÚN MOMENTO SE SOBREPUSO. Había talleres, conferencias y hasta proyecciones de capítulos del primer anime de Sakura y de sus películas, y en ningún momento el ambiente se tornó cacofónico. Tampoco parece que hayan habido problemas durante el concurso de cosplay, a la hora del cierre.

Todo estuvo muy bien organizado ♡

Como en otras ocasiones, no tuve oportunidad de pasearme libremente. Pero regresé con buenos recuerdos y buenas conversaciones.

Una veintena de libros de Legendme encontraron a sus lectores y ahora sólo me queda resurtirme antes de mi siguiente evento, que es…

Ya saben que próximamente daré más detalles del lugar y horarios :)

Y de ahí seguiría…

Así que me tengo que poner las pilas para tener todo el material listo. Especialmente por el reestreno de Toy-Box ♡ ¿Por cierto, lectores, ya preecompraron su copia? ¡No se vayan a quedar sin la suya!
