A small cc fix tutorial

Have you ever used some eyeshadows and thought "Oh cute this would look great with a chunky eyeliner on top" only to find that the eyeliner goes *under* the eyeshadow? Well, guess what you can now fix that!

Get yourself to s3pe and go into the casp tag of your eyeshadows and eyeliners. A normal overlay priority for eyeliner (based on my research) should be:

OverlayPriority: 0x00000082

Whereas the eyeshadow should be:

OverlayPriority: 0x00000064

HOWEVER! If you want to use eyeshadows with the basegame eyeliners you would want to set your eyeshadow priority to something like 0x00000030 which actually worked in my testing. (whoa the base game eyeliners are useful now).

Of course you could also get @potatobuttcheek 's default basegame eyeliner replacements but be aware you will have to change the overlay priority on them to (82).

If you go through your makeup cc and you see an overlay priority for eyeliners and eyeshadows with different values than the above, especially if your eyeshadow has an overlay priority of (82) then that eyeshadow will go on top of your eyeliner (no bueno). Here's how to fix it!

In this example the eyeliner has a value of 46 so it'll show up under the eyeshadow. Click on the Casp you want to change. Click Grid below which will bring up a window.

Simply change the values on the Overlay Priority then click Commit. That's it! Save your package (merged package in my case) and voilà!

Here's a picture of Ariana (by @cozygirlsimmer) with a Praline eyeshadow that was always overriding eyeliners and the after using a Gosik eyeliner on top that was always buried behind eyeshadows.

Here is an eyeshadow (by @sehmulated) which has an overlay priority of 0x0000005A (same as blush) that I manually changed to 0x00000030 for testing with a base game eyeliner.

Models of Courtly Elegance

A little touch of 1530s and 1540s Italian Renaissance extravagance, riffing on Titian and Bronzino...and the Elizabeth Taylor "Taming of the Shrew."

Get her look:

(1) The braid is really not period, but I love-love-LOVE the sculptural quality at the forehead, so...eh.

(2) She needs fuller sleeves and a fuller skirt, but this outfit is just darling on her, so I give her another pass. At least it's back-laced and plausibly historical.

Get his look:

(3) Plus 100,000 wrinkles to make him look just so. If you recognize a certain devil from a certain fantasy video game...tee hee.

(4) I don't really see where this coat is green. Perhaps I need my monitor checked?

Paper Dolls: Carthaginian and Iberian, Part 1

Our first model presents a somewhat Hellenized Carthaginian outfit for upper-class women. She wears an Ionian chiton layered over an undertunic, both of which are embroidered in Tyrian purple; draped and tied overskirts were very common in Carthage. The lavender-pink color of her chiton is a particularly Carthaginian trend. Sandals were very similar throughout the Mediterranean, although some Carthaginian women wore closed-toed slippers.

Her hair is done in a Greek style, but the nose ring and earrings are more Carthaginian than Greek. Her layered necklace has the sign of Tanith, a Carthaginian goddess worshipped throughout the thalassocracy. The heavy makeup is deliberately somewhat artificial, although the colors of the eyeshadow are a bit more Egyptian.

On her wrists, she has multiple bracelets, both wire-wrapped metal and stone.

Our second model presents a Carthaginian-influenced Iberian outfit for upper-class women.

She wears a similar chiton to her Carthaginian counterpart, but hers is not draped to show off the tunic beneath. The color is very plain because I was unable to find something that didn’t overwhelm the camera when combined with the rodetes, turban, and other jewelry; vivid colors, such as deep red and blue, were worn based on pigments from Iberian statues.

The rodetes--the round drum-shaped headdress over her turban--are an Iberian fashion seen mainly in Carthaginian-influenced areas. Although I didn’t get a very good shot of it, hers are decorated with gems! She wears very long earrings underneath them, and multiple necklaces. The turban is also an Iberian fashion, although Carthaginian women may have worn something similar, distantly related to the Lebanese tantour. (The Carthaginians, after all, are descended from the Phoenicians.)

Like her Carthaginian counterpart, she also wears multiple bracelets; Iberian women also wore rings on every finger, although I forgot hers in this photoshoot.

Both of these styles would have been worn with a palla-style veil, suspended from the head and falling to the floor, but I omitted this so that you could see the clothing (and also need to find a suitable mesh).

Fragaria “Aria” Sugar

Gen 1: Strawberry Everyone loves strawberries. They are sweet and popular just like you. You love getting to talk and meet new people at every chance you get and everyone loves how friendly you are. But your desire to help people has been the main driving point in your life. As you tend to others, you also tend to neglect taking care of yourself. As a workaholic, your house is a mess, your children don’t get to see you anymore, and your personal life is in shambles. Need to take some PTO if you ask me.

Aria has big dreams after her move from the big city to the much smaller, but much more exclusive, Hidden Springs. With her parents no longer looming over her, she’s finally starting to think big. With a ‘small’ loan from her parents she moved into her home by the lake and with her outgoing personality, it surely won’t be long until she’s the talk of the town.
