my least favorite part about tumblr fanon batman is truly the misinterpretation of the flaccid personality he developed over time, on the one hand, it's incredibly autistic coded, on the other it's merely a side effect of many cishet men absolutely refusing to write him as someone who emotes and openly loves as he once did constantly and fervently and messily and although I think that side of him can coexist with the stoic theatrics and occasional reclusiveness of his character it HAS to be acknowledged that the version of him that used to joke around and emote was still very much a weird coded dude just not in the way fandoms can flanderize and meme about
