.....................well now i'm just thinking about how echo and noise could've provided a really interesting exploration of mental illness and trauma and stigmatization but canon kinda missed the mark on that one huh

ACTUALLY! When I took my drivers test the written part of the test I just winged it. So there's a good chance I don't actually know the real rules of the road but I scored a 100% on the driving portion.

i love u. i will be answering these for Nissa, my gnome cleric of Oghma (Knowledge Domain)
bg3 companion tav asks
General 4 - What sort of general actions raise or lower their approval?
Nissa is a Good-oriented nerd, so helping people and being nice gets her points, as does being a huge know-it-all who reads / preserves books. If you succeed on an Int-based check and "um actually" someone she'll approve and if you don't, she'll do it herself.
General 7 - Do they have their own personal quest that spans the course of the game? Can it take different branching paths depending on the choices the Player Character makes?
Wow that would be so cool. The immediate answer is no, but I can come up with a few ideas. The most interesting one is based off a story hook I ended up following with my actual D&D character that Nissa is based off of.
She's been dispatched for her temple to collect parts of a powerful set of Necromancy armor, both to keep the armor out of the wrong hands and so her temple can study it. You run into several necromancy-wielding characters throughout the game who are each wearing one part. (There are at least 3 parts--boots, armor, and helmet-- but I can easily imaging adding more items to the set.) When all the items from the set are equipped, it grants the wearer some powerful ability or boost, in addition to the abilities that each item grants on its own.
Nissa is fine with people in the party wearing and using the armor parts throughout the game. Destroying it is bound to piss her off because "That's an immensely powerful artifact! You can't just destroy it! We could learn so much from it!"
When you get to Baldur's Gate she insists on heading to her temple to turn the items in to the head priest. If you refuse to go, she massively disapproves and might even leave, depending on whether the PC can convince her that they just need to use it until they finish saving the world. If you go to the temple and hand in the armor, it turns out that the head priest is secretly evil and wants the armor for themselves! Cue big necromantic boss fight where the head priest dons the full set of armor and uses its many abilities. Nissa is very apologetic after the fight and is fine with keeping the armor for the rest of the game, "because then at least I know where it is."
Granted, this story doesn't really have anything to do with her as a character or grant her any character development. But it's the best I can think of for now haha.
Story 3 - How do they react to Astarion biting the Player Character?
Max-level Guiding Bolt is locked and loaded. She's willing to hear them out though and if both Astarion and the PC reassure her that it was fine and consensual, she relaxes. She'll keep a close eye on Astarion, though. "You'd better not try that on me."
Story 10 - How do they react if the PC licks the dead spider in the Gauntlet of Shar?
"Ugh! Why would you do that? You know it's rotted, right??" Nissa disapproves.
Story 11 - What do they say if the PC tries to force them to go up on stage with Dribbles the Clown?
"Excuse me? I'm an academic, not a performer!"

3. what race and class are you itching to play but haven’t yet?
that’s a difficult question, bc i’ve already gotten to play all of my favorite races/classes. 😅 i’ve been curious about playing a genasi, and critical role has convinced me to try playing a monk. but i don’t really have a must-play list.
9. do you keep any dnd superstitions? (e.g., dice jail, “charging” dice on the lowest side, etc)
my mottled red-/blue-violet d20 with gold lettering, from the first dice set i ever bought, is my lucky die. i swear that it consistently rolls high, especially when i DM, to the point at which i will set it aside and deliberately not use it if i’ve critted one too many times on my players.
14. a common stereotype about players that applies to you?
backseat gm. oh boy. i would say it’s bc i dm so much more often than i play, except that i’ve played with other gms who don’t have any problem staying quiet and following the actual dm’s rulings. it’s something i really need to work on.
15. the most creative solution to a problem / encounter / puzzle that you’ve thought of?
i’ve already told you (and pretty much everyone who will care about this answer) about this, but it just happened last week so it’s still on my mind.
last session our gm threw a young adult red dragon and some cultists at us. my cleric, who had planned to spend the day warding our estate and NOT fighting a dragon, ended up tanking bc the actual tanks rolled low on initiative and had to run over from across the map. so i’m at half health at the start of the second round of combat, i don’t have my usual healing spells prepared, and a dragon swoops in over my head breathing fire at me (for which i fail my dex save).
then the warlock polymorphs the dragon into a cat. i don’t have a high-level heal prepared but you know what i do have? divine word, which instantly kills anything at 20 or less hp. you know what has less than 20 hp? a cat.
the dragon fails its save bc it has a -2 to charisma as a cat and doesn’t revert back to its form bc RAW it doesn’t drop to 0 hp, it instantly dies. and that is how the warlock and i killed a dragon in the second round of combat. i am very proud of that combo. ☺️
oh yeah and the divine word?
BAD KITTY.

not knowing your own abilities/spells. and not as a first time player, but as someone who’s been playing the same character for like. a year or more. i should not know your character’s abilities better than you if i’ve never looked at your character sheet and you (in theory) have it in front of you for four hours a week once a week for the last 12+ months.
