Rules: in a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you.
ok, so i’ve read a lot crap... and sometimes i question my taste in books. so, don't think of this as recommendations. what so ever. Also, I don't tend to read solo books, and 9 out 10 times I accidentally pick up a series.
ASOIAF by grrm. I have a tattoo of the House Martell sigil enough said.
Six of Crows by leigh Bardugo. I first listened to this on audible and I know shocking... but if you've never experienced the audio version, it's such a good listen to. But also it's good on it's own too! I read/listened to this after reading a miserable series and it helped me out my depression. So say what you want about audiobooks lol
Wallflower verse by Lisa Kleypas. Did the series age well? No. But did this insp my love of historical romance? Yes. Also, I have read all of this series... there's a lot. I'm unashamed.
Scarlet Scars Series by J.M. Darhower. Tbh this is a spinoff of a pretty awful series and none of this should work for me... but there's something about reading this when you're in a depression or self-destructive mood that put things in an interesting pov.
Sweep series by Cate Tiernan. I read this when I was 14 going on 15. And oof reading it now it tough but I did love it as a kid and have three complete editions of this specific series.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. This list doesn't have to be good lol I have the longest history with this series and it's just part of me... whether or not I like it.
Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones. Such a promising start that left me hate reading by book 8. but did i finish the series? yes.
Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray. I debated on adding this because I don’t know if it stuck with me for the right reasons, but i think about it sometimes and I even did a reread a few months ago.
The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. I read this as an adult™ and the entire time I was like Meg definitely didn’t know how to write a character with depression respectfully and it shows. But I think for what it’s worth, as I’m not the targeted audience, it’s a fast and somewhat charming read. And the reason why I can never watch PD2 again lol
Beautiful Creatures Series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This is another one that i was not the targeted demo, but it stayed with me in a way that some of the books I was reading around this time didn’t *coughs in romance novels*. I love the potential of the world and what it could have been. And I think about that potential a lot.

1. I am very much set in which way i drink my black tea, so much i take my own tea to work instead of drinking the brand we have there
2. When i write things like this in english, which is not my first language, i am always scared that i make spelling errors and that i will get mocked for them ^^
3. Yes, i am german
4. And a scorpio, and everything you think right now about scorpios is true XD
5. I have so many unread books on my shelf and still i buy new ones
6. If you talk about something i love or something i have a bit of knowledge of, i will info dump on you
7. I am a total klutz, i run into things, i trip over things, i smash things. Last week i went for breakfast with my cousin, and managed to loose control over my whole tray of food. Everything smashed on the floor, i’m still embarrassed now.
8. I have five earrings in every ear and a nose piercing
9. I have a triskelion tattoo on the back of my neck because of Teen Wolf, and i still want a tattoo for The Amazing Devil and Star Wars. But i need money first
10. Colorful socks with funny prints are the best, and i will never ever wear other socks again

Three ships: Kanej, winterwidow (buckynat), and I've been won over by divorce-era Jayce/Viktor, who I'm not sure has a cute ship name
First ever ship: My dudes, I am over 40 and I don't honestly remember. So I'm going with an early one: Kitty Pryde (Shadowkat)/Piotr Rasputin (Colossus). The next time someone asks me this question, it's liable to be different.
Last song: Everybody Knows, Leonard Cohen, which was the result of listening to the Sigrid cover (which is excellent!) and I remembered how fucking much I love Leonard Cohen.
Last Movie: ...eeeghh. Erm. Uh. I think I might have watched 2005 Pride and Prejudice ahead of going to my regency LARP last month. It has not been a great time for watching movies in this house lately.
Currently Reading: Silently and Very Fast, Catherynne Valente. I've just started it and it's a time. But also, it's very clear that I am deep in it on AI, cybernetics, how we interpret the world around us, and other nonsense.
Currently Watching: Ted Lasso and DS9 rewatch
Currently Consuming: water and soon to be coffee
Currently craving: breakfast. And on that note, I should go do something about that.

WIP Ask Game
RULES: post the names of all of the files in your WIP folder regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it.
So unlike any sane person instead of having distinct files for each WIP I keep everything that isn't in the final stages of editing in one massive Google Doc. This is just the ones that have titles attached in some regard.

Note
Longer fic where Hermione is in Malfoy Manor and pregnant and the pregnancy is revealed through her being able to access the wards on the Malfoy library. I think she is hiding out there. It is not “It’s Not Enough” by SarahFraser but that’s the closest we have found! Cannot for the life of me remember the fic and all of us on Reddit are dying for the name!

Thank you for the tag! I absolutely love reading about what makes other people happy because it makes me think, "Oh, yeah, that IS pretty great" and then it makes me happy, too.
So....
1) Being out in the woods. Most days, there's nowhere else I'd rather be.
2) Singing with other people. Not performing, just singing with friends for the sheer joy of it.
3) Baking. It's the closest I can do to magic. You take all of these things you shouldn't eat on their own (flour, raw eggs, vanilla extract) and transmute them into something delicious to share with the people you love.
4) Very soft sweaters. I'm excited for cooler weather so I can start wearing them again.
5) Public libraries. Both the places themselves and the idea that access to books is a public good that everyone in the community deserves, no matter their age or wealth or circumstances. Makes me all sentimental.
