Everyone is out here talking about Neil Newbon's fit (as they should)
Can we also talk about Sam wearing Big Stompy Boots with an iconic firey, glittery red dress, and Dave wearing pawprint cufflinks
((Source:Dave's twitter))
Just look at them 😭✨️

Neil Newbon really did an amazing job with Astarion, and I'm sure he deserved that best performance award, but I am a little sad how the hype around him tends to overshadow everyone else. The general standard of voice work in this game is SO GOOD, and I feel like the other VAs whose work feature heavily alongside Newbon's deserve to be talked about more too.

Y'all are nice about line cook Karlach you can have a bit more since I've got the brainworms.
Good Continuity: She works at a local brew pub after her military stint. She'll eventually take the place over (going on Sam Béart's headcanon she'd like to be running a pub if she wasn't adventuring.)
Bad Continuity: She works at a fancy bistro owned by Zariel where she's obligated to stay in her job to keep up her health insurance to care for her heart condition.
Take your pick! Or something else, I'm absolutely not fussed.

Sam Béart streams LiS: True Colors on the 17th!
BABES! THEYBIES AND GENTLETHEM!
The illustrious being that is Samantha Béart, the actor of Karlach in BG3 and Thomasina in Hob's Barrow, is hosting their weekly twitch livestream this Wednesday on the 17th of January, 8pm GMT.
Now why on earth am I calling upon my fellow LiS fans, old and new, and BG fans? Because they're doing it for Mind, the mental health charity in the UK.
You know me mainly from LiS if you follow me here and nowadays, you know BG and Karlach are the equivalent to the obsession of 2015. Katy Bentz, the voice of Steph, has also taken notice to the stream. Any fellow Katertots on here who wanna throw an eye to a grand stream to be, follow the link below!
(For those who don't know Sam is NB and goes by she/they with a preference for non-feminine descriptors such as actor, performer, etc.)

Samantha Béart (Karlachs actor) jumping in to scold people who were trying to bring awareness to how black actors and creatives are treated in these spaces after Theo got snubbed, excusing it with "Theo said he was ok with it!" and "im half black" is like... very interesting.
like, yeah, its great that Theo didn't feel slighted, i think thats a testament to his kind and laidback personality! But.. we are also talking about fandom racism as a broad subject here. ESPECIALLY within DnD spaces. many of the people i saw making the most profound additions to the situation were OTHER black people. i find it VERY strange for Sam to butt in and imply people shouldn't be upset with this concept and that people were "piling on" when all they were doing was showing support for Theo and commenting on how the treatment was unprofessional. very fucking weird and rude.

"Orr's been in a couple of riots in their time, involving refugees - if you remember, the Red Doors - but yes. When Orr can't trust anybody, and can't trust the sort of empathetic feelings they're getting - it's very bad. Because when Orr loses trust, they're a loose cannon. Especially in a mob. You're getting mob vibes. Orr is a product of the emotions around them, so when everything is so off-kilter, you know, they're innocent, so they take them on. They take everything on. So if society is showing a very ugly underbelly, then that's what Orr… becomes. And that's terrifying, because that's society looking in a mirror, isn't it? Except this one's quite dangerous."
