Yesterday I went to a bookshop called “The Unreliable Narrator.”
We were trying to follow a friend’s GPS to it, and wound up in the indoor not-quite-mall (hit hard by covid and was always all independent shops, no chains) it was supposed to be in. Friend misread a sign, we went up a floor when we did not need to, went back down, found the shop, it was super closed, like forever closed, were about to laugh at how well, that seems appropriate for an Unreliable Narrator, then we saw the sign saying they had moved locations outside the mall, across the street.
I think we all started laughing at that point and then again when we realized we had gone right past it when we had arrived and hadn’t noticed.
It was a gorgeous bookshop and I wanted to buy everything in it.
