本当は徒歩範囲でもう一ヶ所行きたい所があったのですが、付いてきた母の薬切れ❔体を引きずるように歩きだしたので断念して港に戻ることにしました。
桜島の全景🌋
あっという間に鹿児島港に戻りました。

Departure of the Sakurajima Ferry with Sakurajima erupting in the background (2013)
I used to live in a city that was located directly across Kinko Bay from a very active volcano, Sakurajima. In just a short fifteen minute ferry ride, you can visit the volcano, which has a population of over 3000 residents. I miss waking up and seeing this majestic fire mountain every morning (provided it wasn't raining), and I did eventually get used to the ash.

Sakurajima in this area has been an active volcano since recorded history, with frequent eruptions that have had a major impact on Satsuma's culture and people's minds. This song is reminiscent of the great eruption of Sakurajima and is a masterpiece that makes you feel the depressed energy of Satsuma. The expression of this violent explosive power is probably the best among the theme songs of taiga dramas. Satoshi Ichiyanagi did a good job.

#throwback to finally taking the ferry from Kagoshima to Amami to renew my visa (can't be done on the island) It takes about 13 hours from Naze one way and time surprisingly flew by. The ferry runs between Kagoshima City and Okinawa and runs pretty much everyday.
