two things i love right now-
i’m still reading molly (by blake butler) but it’s so sad i have to take several breaks from it, so now the book i’m reading when i need to put molly down is sugar, baby by celine saintclare and i’m having a lot of fun with it! (i am only 4 chapters in though so we’ll see!)
& tower 28 tinted lip balm is the best thing i’ve ever put on my lips before
thanks! 👋🏻

2 & 4 for the book ask!
Thanks for the ask!
2. Do you reread anything? What?
I very rarely re-read anything, but in saying that I actually re-read two books this year!
The first was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I just felt like re-reading it!
The second was Fred Astaire's autobiography Steps in Time. I first read it as a teenager (cos I was very cool) and felt it was time to revisit it.
4. Do you discover any new authors that you love this year?
Yes, absolutely! I'm always trying new authors and so here are a few that were new to me this year after picking up one of their books:
Hernan Diaz (Trust), Leila Mottley (Nightcrawling), Julia Armfield (Our Wives under the Sea), Jennette McCurdy (I'm Glad My Mom Died), Rebecca F Kuang (Yellowface), Miranda Cowley Heller (The Paper Palace), Eliza Clark (Boy Parts), Colin Walsh (Kala), Celine Saintclare (Sugar, Baby), Maggie O'Farrell (Hamnet, The Marriage Portrait), Priscilla Morris (Black Butterflies), Alice Winn (In Memoriam), Jeanine Basinger (The Star Machine), Natasha Brown (Assembly)

"We become what we love and who we love shapes what we become. If we love things, we become a thing. If we love nothing, we become nothing. Imitation is not a literal mimicking of Christ, rather it means becoming the image of the beloved, an image disclosed through transformation. This means we are to become vessels of God's compassionate love for others." -St. Clare of Assisi Happy Feast of our Seraphic Mother, St. Clare of Assisi- Foundress of the Poor Ladies of St. Clare (Poor Clares) and beloved friend to St. Francis of Assisi #PoorClares #SaintClare #Franciscan #Catholic #Christian (at Real Monasterio De Santa Clara) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSboRfnH9LL/?utm_medium=tumblr

Many thanks to Saint Clare of Assisi and St. Jude Thaddeus for assisting me in my time of need. They're each very powerful, very kind, and it's an honor to work with them.

Matera (Basilicata). Via Domenico Ridola. After San Francesco and approaching to Sasso Caveoso, Matera begins to become labyrinthine. It could seem to be in front of a wall, instead any narrow street or semi-hidden path offers different scenarios, but in any case amazing. If you take the apparent bottleneck on the right, you will find yourself in a new wide street, via Ridola (further, square), which offers an unexpected view. Immediately the church of Purgatory, then a wide road relatively long, closed frontally by the seventeenth-century Palazzo Lanfranchi, which we will see. In between various other cultural assets, including the church of Santa Chiara, the National Archaeological Museum "Domenico Ridola" (who was its founder) and also the votive shrines (eighteenth-century frescoes) placed in the arches of the gallery leading to the alley Case Nuove. In the chosen images: interior and exterior of the church of Purgatory (baroque, 1725, the Orthodox rite is also celebrated there), facade of Santa Chiara (seventeenth century) and votive shrine with Saint Eustace and Madonna with Child. #approaching #sassocaveoso #matera #basilicata #labyrinthine #narrowstreet #hidden #scenarios #amazing #bottleneck #unexpectedview #purgatory #culturalassets #shrines #chosen #santachiara #saintclare #travel #traveling #visiting #instatravel #travelling #tourism #instatraveling #mytravelgram #travelgram #travelingram #massimopistis #sovVERSIvi #estremisti Information for the purchase of my new book "Estremisti!": the book at a cost of 12.00 euros (120 pages), can be ordered in bookstores (ISBN 978-88-591-5719-9 - Publisher Aletti) or online on the page http://www.alettieditore.it/emersi/2019/pistis.html from the link below. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-pwSaCKUgJ/?igshid=dis4561jja3h

Happy St Clare's Day. Everyone has to be especially nice to me today. I don't know who painted this. It was my profile picture on the Facebook account I had before Clare was my legal name. She is the patron saint of television because the story says she watched mass on the wall of her bedroom when she was too ill to attend. More likely that's made up. Or she was a bit nuts, in a culturally acceptable way. #Clare #saint #saintclare #monstrance #monastic #Catholic #patronal #transgenderpride #transgender #portrait #woman https://www.instagram.com/p/B1BGiTkgOSB/?igshid=1weinpazib0g4
