I love how Xanatos, who will be our main villain, was first shown in full daylight, looking expectantly up at a castle it sounds like he's been trying to locate for some time.
It's his assistant Owen who we watch emerge from shadow, cool and collected and worried about costs.
Given we don't know the roles of all the players yet, this could be a nice little misdirect. Xanatos is full of life and eager and bulldozing on with a passion that doesn't consider 'astronomical costs.' Those are usually traits reserved for protagonists I feel like. So maybe the villain will be the man close to the wealthy guy. Perhaps there's internal strife and betrayal. Own is far more suspicious than Xanatos just yet.
We move on to more explicitly stated risk. Not only is this venture incredibly costly and we don't yet even know why Xanatos is undertaking it, but he just ran alone into a castle known locally to be haunted, which we didn't know before, though certainly we could see that there could be risk of going into ruins that may be structurally unsound before.
I also really love that after Owen mentions the cost, Xanatos's response utterly ignores it, and he's looking at Goliath as he first speaks over Owen's concerns. Just, 'hire the crews!'

I know I keep mentioning these little scenes but in episode 2 when Malcolm is super tired and stuff and Dani helps him his voice is so cute and silly and just the way he says stuff and acts it so cute. Specifically when Dani asks if he wants help and he says "yeah, that would be great". Idk why I love it so much. I love Tom Payne. He's just so great.

not entirely sure what i was expecting from ofmd, as a first-time watcher, but it definitely was not a gentle parenting captain and him needing to see a therapist in an indigenous tribe that kidnapped them

S1 E2: Party, Party, Party
They're engaged. Lily proposed to George on a full moon night. The next morning George was feeling flirty and spoiled Lily with some flowers and compliments. What more could a diva ask for.
He said YES!
George was introduced to Golf at a party the next day. Loving this for him. Lily is more into pool.
Spending nights together working on their fitness. Getting trim for the wedding and completing some opportunities.
The bachelorette party was fun for Lily. Lots of nectar going around.
Keg stands, and Party dancers made the night memorable. Luckily the party started early cause her wedding is tomorrow.
Getting ready for the wedding by setting up outside. We wanted plenty of room for all the guests. This nearly sent us broke.
It was really sweet. Everyone was so happy for them.
Welcome, George, to the Cavanaugh family legacy.
Lily cuts the cake before everyone heads inside to dance.
Their slow dance was so romantic. George is able to get frisky now that they are married.
He asked everyone to leave, wasting no time.
Will we be seeing the next generation soon? Lily is close to aging up so the sooner, the better.

…I’m sure that’s fine.
Well, that’s the end of that episode! So far, it feels a little more faster-paced than I would like, but I am still enjoying it. Hopefully our inquisiting friend here won’t cause too many problems for our crew.
