4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

It would be easier to defuse a bomb with no prior knowledge. Luckily, both Ironwing and Nightjet know this and they have used it to their advantage. If you want him to trust you and not just pretend that he trusts you, you better be patient because it takes him a while to open up to anybody.

6. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?

Immovable. He has primary, secondary and tertiary directives that he must follow and the third one happens to be abiding by the rules his handler/superior gives him.

15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?

Helios has a habit to speak without thinking when he's around people who he knows tolerate it, but other than that he's very cautious about what he says.

29. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?

No. I don't even know what these ideals would be other than be everyone's friend (which is impossible).

39. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?

It's pretty easy, since he thinks everyone is better than him (on good days) or he's the most flawed guy alive (on bad days).

mornin’ to you too. She yawns loudly (louder than an average person, probably), then grins tiredly. Honestly I can barely process my thoughts right now, so why don’t you talk to her yourself? She whistles sharply before wandering off, tailed by Sparkle, muttering something about needing more milk.

There’s a noticeable sparkle in the air as Luna trots into view.

Greetings, child. The Xerneas’ voice is projected into Turnip’s head. Luna bows her head respectfully. You wished to know how Sarah caught me, if I am correct? The Xerneas leans down, as if she’s sharing a secret. Well, it is not so much that she caught me, it would be more accurate to say that I chose her. It is best described as what Sarah said once, something along the lines of “friendship is magic.”

She has a fond twinkle in her eye, How we met is a unique story. My domain is Kalos, one which Zygarde, Yveltal, and I watch over. Yveltal, who goes by the name “Jasper,” noticed her having a pokemon battle with her spiky haired partner, and convinced us to all watch. When they noticed us, we vanished. We kept an eye on them for the rest of their time in Kalos. The rest, as mortals say, is history.

unpopular opinion but while i get how mentally unstable / ill ryuki is, i still get uncomfortable a bit with how people attribute that as his only character trait. not how he’s shy or gentle or outdated in his jokes, how he’s a kind person, how he works so so hard even if he’s clumsy socially -- how he genuinely is trying his best to live off the dream of his dead brother. it’s just these constant slew of jokes about how seriously ill he is and after contracting the tc-perge that only gets worse and we see that happening as we play as him on his route.

we see ryuki get worse and worse until the six year time skip and he’s having hysterical fits; drinking himself to death at only 29 and as much as i adore boss it just feels.... lazy almost, that she just is written to just yes, give him off time, six years of it, but i feel like who genuinely were the most concerned on him as a person and not a pysncer / detective was obviously tama, the person and artificial intelligence literally living in his brain via nerves / left eye socket, date of course, who genuinely mentored him in and off work and probably was the most likely human wise to voice concerns to boss about his mental health? and thirdly, mizuki, who wants him to not work period, and tries to talk logic to him which doesn’t work - and aiba points this out, but even aiba says he’s ‘a real maintenance to work with’. these kind of themes genuinely made me sad and mizuki wasn’t the only character among the three, date, mizuki, ryuki, that had various degrees of being sacrificed for the twists.

i guess to a point i get why we’re making so many / memes and jokes but i won’t go into that but. it still feels .... uncomfortable? because the entire time i’m playing yeah at first i’m like ‘oh hi what the hell here we go again mr. ryuki’ but then it morphs to like...genuine horror and concern and i do think that’s intentional. and i don’t even write the newest blorbo of ai. i just really want him to get therapy. please don’t get me started on what they did to date and mizuki either, as the date family aiba included, are my favorite things about the entire series.

and believe it or not, while i don’t like the bibi twist, like her as a character, just not her in any relation to mizuki, but mizuki herself. mizuki date. she constantly is asking aiba if ryuki is ‘going to be okay’ and even before the timeskip after the explosion that took her left eye clean out? she asks boss in the opening of the game if she’s giving him /time off/ making you wonder how keenly focused mizuki is on him because he’s important to date, and while she’d never say it aloud unless it was serious and even /then/, that matters to her. and she’s a caring person. her tongue holds no mercy but she literally says:

“ boss, are you giving him vacation time ? “ i know as he’s the second protagonist because again, my portrayal i’m not even putting bibi in as a protag, i’d have to know a bibi to even try to make it make sense without spitting on mizuki’s individuality -- but like? these three people cared, noticed, hell the entire game is telling you something is not right with him, and because of protag plot armor, ryuki can’t really go to the hospital? and when tama begs him to go saying that ‘a god or a shrine or buddha etc isn’t going to heal your heart! ‘ and ryuki like what, checks in, BLACKS OUT, then by the forcing of the plot, tama HAS To let him leave, despite caring for him the MOST.

i know realistically we couldn’t have ryuki like --- be in the hospital the whole game in its entirety but like, i wish we had instead of mizuki post time skip asking aiba if he’s okay and aiba being like ‘we can’t worry about him’ but people treating his actions with less ‘i hope he doesn’t do anything stupid’ and more to ‘wow he’s really not okay maybe i should keep an eye on him and get him a counselor more break time’ would i don’t know just showing the cast actively cares about him with his extremely serious mental illnesses / disorders would mean a lot? because it’s just sad to watch even on this playthrough, that the majority of the cast is reacting like that. ryuki is so mentally unwell he can’t even remember that he betrayed abis siding with tearer, or that he shocked bibi with a g.un, causing her heart to worsen, or even little moments of where he blacked out.

instead i just see tons of jokes about it and it’s an uncomfortable feeling. i’d literally slam a button on a poll fifty times to get this fictional blorbo to therapy. i don’t even know where to begin with mizuki even getting therapy, she’s so traumatized it’s another matter entirely.

but he kind of felt like the punching bag of the game for an agent so skilled, and it’s sad that i personally, just me, mind you, felt only date, tama and mizuki were actively worried about his health condition.

#a.ini and i have a complicated relationship #ironically the og is my favorite but i came to really care about ai.ni by proxy even if i feel character development #was greatly sacrificed #for the twists and turns which are great!#but #please don't....glorify how sick ryuki is and how much help he needs like it's something to laugh at.#it's my blog so it's private but i get a few memes but #when that's all i see about him i'm like #please #he's more than that and his feelings for date.#note i think he genuinely probably has some feelings for tama too.#of course mizuki cares it's in her nature.#and also while this is res route built off game -- not mizuki route where date and mizuki are far closer smh ?#she still cares a lot not just by choice but also hey her adopted father cares a lot about him #probably discussed it with him before they did the moronic nerfing of date for six years. again.#𝐎𝐎𝐂 *ೃ༄ ‘yesterday was yesterday; today is today.’#i just want the date family bonding to carry over and ryuki to be ok i am asking

(I also considered the tiefling au Raihan (Roarhan) and the beast au Raihan but neither of them would be good as ask blogs for different reasons. Or any of the au Ryukis I have. Tiefling au Ryuki (Tryuki) doesn't speak in anything other than screams. Beast au Ryuki is kind of a jerk (So are Dandelost and beast Grusha but they are both considerably less of a jerk) and I have too much anxiety to act that out in roleplay also he is a serious silent military type-ugh. weirdo-. Would totally have added a specific other au Ryuki to this poll if it weren't for the fact I'm trying to be secretive about him for now... I also considered the beast au Hop but he's a zombie covered in blood 24/7 and idk if y'all would like seeing that)

This work is mostly used for Reader x Character stuff so I won't take much ships between characters because I know everyone doesn't ship the same thing and like...you're free to ship whomever~! I'll write em if they strike my fancy on the day lol.

Please be patient!! I’m working two jobs and have other responsibilities. I also tend to burn out easily....so it’ll be here and there.

Honestly I adore your blog aaaaa its such an intriguing story to read! Sarah is such a sweetheart and I adore her so so much! All your legends have such gorgeous designs too! Like… Luna is so freaking pretty!! It is always a blast getting to draw her! And then the romance between your Yveltal and Cobalion was so well done aaaaa I loved reading it during the gala! You have a way of introducing things so naturally that I adore! I really do strice to have things introduced in a natural manner but it’s tough haha.

I hope Sarah is able to learn more about her ancestor 🥺 Adaman is SUCH a fav of mine ngl I adore him so much. It was such a pleasure getting to gift her the diamond clan clothes omg I love seeing her and ryuki interact haha.

Oh, pain? 👀 break, secret and torture for ya boy Helios because reasons

Valid. Everyone is attacking the miserable guy.

Break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?

The death of a loved one. Fortunately, it only happened once, you know, when Aegis died, but he was able to prevent it the second time ...by sacrificing himself. It's not effective in the long run and he knew his chances when he made the decision, although that didn't stop him from steering their ship into the sun.

Helios may or may not have developed abandonment issues over time, but not enough healthy coping mechanisms. He can count himself lucky that they only kick in when he's in danger of losing someone he cares about, be it by death or by being left behind. His time working for Proteus didn't allow him to make any friends so when their ship was taken over, he didn't mind as much as he should have.

To deal with his emotions, he will seek a quiet place and wait until the worst part is over before he can collect himself and return to his duty.

Alternatively, he might just lie on the floor and listen to music.

Secret: What's one secret your OC never wants anyone to know about them?

This one was lready answered in the previous post.

Pain: What's the worst pain your OC has ever felt? Do they have a high pain tolerance?

Does being melted by the sun count or?

His pain tolerance is above average, since his frame was originally designed for reconnaissance. Helios is tougher than he looks.

What actually hurts the most is the lack of pain.

Torture: Has your OC ever been tortured? Would your OC ever torture someone else?

Physically, no. Mentally, yes. That's what prolonged forced exposure to Proteus' whims does to a mech. And he would if someone ordered him to and he would also hate himself for it afterwards.

Aegis is carrying his brother on his shoulders to bring him closer to the sky because Helios can't fly. Maybe I'll color it in tomorrow.

Sarah spots the duo in the distance. When she walks over to them, she stares in awe at the legendary pokemon before her.

She bows hastily, It’s wonderful to see you as well, Ryuki! And great to meet you as well, Galadriel. She shakes the Giratina’s hand, but the sleeve of her shirt catches her eye.

Oh nooo, oh Arceus- She nervously checks her outfit, before flushing bright red. Out of all my legendary pajamas- Of course I’m wearing these- She dashes off, completely embarrassed. Lunaaaa could you talk to them? Please?

Luna joins the other two legendaries, her form shimmering until she resembles a human. She bows to the other two legends politely.

Addressing the Giratina she smiles, Sarah is indeed related to Adaman. I believe she said he was about seven generations back? Hm. I never realized that she had Dialga’s scent on her… I might have to ask Alwin about that directly.

She turns to the Lugia. I’m fairly certain Sarah has only ever encountered Alwin in person once. Luna thinks for a few seconds. I believe there was some trouble involving a fellow named Volo on Spear Pillar a few months ago. I don’t know the specific details, I think he was from Adaman’s time and somehow travelled forwards? Anyways, Sarah helped the Sinnoh champion, Cynthia, send him back. Alwin and his counterpart Palkia, known as Cheval, thanked both personally.

Helios

When he listens to music, he prefers to find a secluded space, lay down on the ground and close his optics to fully concentrate on the melodies and texts that drown out his thoughts.

Ironwing

He prefers energetic songs over slow, calming ones. Often times he can be seen headbanging or tapping to the powerful beat of whatever he's listening to. I listenend to one too many viking metal songs and made him a metalhead - my boy has to suffer for it.

Nightjet

I am so. Tempted. To make him listen to elevator music on his shift. But I will not. He likes certain tracks from all genres and he will listen to a myriad of soundtracks while working.

Extra: How the trio met

When the Stellar Observatory landed on Earth, they were wise enough to cloak themselves from human detection systems but any Cybertronian could see that there was a neutral ship on the planet and they used this to lure in other Transformers that were stranded.

They did this on almost every planet they went to and on rare occasions it worked. Sometimes, they picked up mechs from either faction and let them stay until they reached the nearest space port where every mech could leave if they wanted to.

That's also how Helios finds them and they give him shelter in return for his service as their new pilot. No one on their ship has experience with the controls and most of the time the autopilot has been in control, but since Helios has picked up some useful skills a while ago, he is qualified enough to do it on his own.

Now, since Nightjet is the head of security, he has to keep an optic on the new arrivals and make sure they don't cause any trouble. Being the only one with the patience to observe the small heliformer shift for shift, he starts to notice things.

Helios' forced positivity that scares off most mechs on the ship is just a mask he wears in public and it is there to cover the hurt that has accumulalted over the years, as well as a desparate attempt to communicate with the outside world that he still has no idea how it works.

Nightjet takes one look at the frail figure underneath his persona and decides that this guy needs a friend - so he will be his friend.

He looks after him and makes sure he is well fueled and rested for the cycle (by singing him to sleep). Whenever Helios takes a break, Nightjet comes by to chat with him. Because NJ is well liked with the crew, more people start talking to Helios as well, but they still keep their distance.

Helios brings his new friend his daily rations when NJ's shift starts and ends, since their shifts overlap at times. This goes on until they receive a distress signal from an approaching ship.

Firecry's team has disguised itself as Decepticons to retrieve equipment from a Con base in the vicinity, but Carbonlight had betrayed them and kept the acquired materials for himself with which he intends to build something that controls other mechs' minds.

The remaining five team members escape from the Cons and seek refuge from it all, unknowingly attracting the Stellar Observatory whose crew takes them in.

Railjet welcomes them with caution. Five mechs were much more difficult to keep track of and he knows his brother will have a lot of work to do.

A couple of days after their arrival, the ship hosts a dinner party for them. Nightjet is still watching them from afar, but Ironwing has had enough and confronts him about it (politely). Helios just happens to stand right behind NJ when they strike up a conversation and that's when he introduces himself to Ironwing.

The flier is not impressed by his docile behavior and immediately labels him a coward in his mind. But they meet a couple of times in the hallways over the next few weeks and when Ironwing catches NJ and Helios chatting one day, he can't help but be curious.

When Nightjet notices the renewed interest in the two of them, he talks to Ironwing about it and tells him as much as he needs to hear in order to drop the matter - but he doesn't. He's still suffering from Carbonlight's, his best friend's betrayal. His emotions are unstable and therefore he latches onto the first two strangers who talk with him.

A brittle kind of friendship ties them together and they swear in silence that they will always be there for each other.

...

And then Helios dies during the final fight against Carbonlight's reanimated starformers and Ironwing and Nightjet go separate ways because they think they need to cope on their own with the loss of yet another friend.

#ha! pain #this might be the first time i mention the tragic fate i have planned for helios in the main story (both TF and Brave) since the beginning #he sacrifices himself to save his friends by flying into the sun. it is the only way to defeat three planet sized mechs #the icarus parallels are strong with this one. that's the sole (ha! another pun) reason i ever considered helios as his name #he is a helicopter. he has the colors of the sun. he will die like icarus. he will fly into said sun. helios just fits him so well #ryuki blogs asks #seriously there is no limit for asks or requests afaik. even if i didn't reblog an ask game or something similar the ask box is always open #cyber streak sent me 43 asks the other day that I'm answering bit by bit - there really is no limit
