This is going to be short bc i already have a post up explaining this situation, but I started having seizures, which led to medical costs I couldn't handle bc I have an autoimmune disorder that's been going untreated for years. I got the appts covered bc of an extremely generous friend on here, and had some additional medication costs which I thankfully had enough for. I've been applying to at least 10 jobs a day and had tons of interviews. I'm going through interviews and assessments for several jobs (got more scheduled for tomorrow) Then my card got stolen, and now I am screwed as far as rent goes, even if one of these jobs comes through like today we will still fall short because rent is due on the 1st and we don't get a grace period. I am trying to get the money that was taken when my card was stolen back, but I have been told to wait to hear back after submitting all the details, and have yet to hear back.
Dm me for proof or more details. I will do art for anyone who helps with this and you can commission me at my art blog @theartistrans I just desperately need to get rent. My roommates and I have a huge food garden planted and are working towards self-sufficiency, which we have no hope of if we can't pay rent.

If the right way is too hard, fuck it. Do it the wrong way.
Folding clothes keeps you from getting the laundry done? Stop folding clothes. Put a basket in your room and throw your unfolded clean stuff into it right out of the dryer, it's fine.
Rinsing dishes off keeps you from loading the dishwasher? Load them dirty and run it twice.
Chopping onions keeps you from making yourself dinner? Buy the freezer bags of chopped onions.
You forget to take your meds and don't want to get out of bed to get them? Start putting them next to the bed.
Can't keep up with the dishes? Get paper plates. Worried about environment impact? Order biodegradable ones online if your local store doesn't have one.
Make the task easier. Put things where you use them instead of where they "go." Eliminate the steps that keep you from finishing the task. Eliminate the task that is stressing you out.
Do it the "wrong" way. It's literally fine.

I hate that so much discourse into fighting climate change is talking about bioenginerring a special kind of seaweed that removes microplastics or whatever other venture-capital-viable startup idea when we have known for forever about shit like digging crescent shaped holes to catch rainwater and turning barren land hospitable

Oh by the way, forgot to mention last night.
Congratulations to Drayton to having the 4th set of complete sprites.
I can't remember when I started his but they were definitely before starting Crispin's. Drayton's took longer because of motivation issues as usual but they're done now.
I think--- my next closest to finishing are either Ryuki's or Hop's but will I start on Piers's or someone else's? That's the question of the whims of the goblins.
Been wanting to begin work on Piers's sprites.
He won't be a starter choice like I originally wanted because he's big and asymmetrical with no work-arounds for the asymmetry and starters have extra animations which would be kind of bad for the file size of the rom if I made Piers a starter choice.
Assuming I can finish this project at all, I plan to have an entire series with more different stories and a heavily decreased need for so many starter animations depending on what those stories call for so if things go well, Piers will be a starter someday.
Although I have an exact idea of which one in my plans will have Drayton and Crispin as starter choices--- the uhhhhhh--- the 7th. That feels like a bazillion years away but that's where they fit as starter choices in the plot in my head
(Not that they can't still be played as anyway- in like- a randomizer or somethin >:D)
(And I can have them in the starter list while testing. They just won't have the proper animations for certain scenes and they won't stay in the list by the time it's done)
Yall I currently have 13 entire story ideas for this weird pokemon mystery dungeon mess and I have reason to suspect that more will inevitably come rjxtrfghm
One of them is a prequel that involves some ridiculous thing with Victor and Gloria (swsh protags)
and even the first one that's keeping mostly the base pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky story has some changes ranging from small to "what the flip".
The vast amount of imagination sure is a trip, huh?
There's only 552 spaces to put stuff in and that means there isn't enough room to keep everything between these.
A bunch of mons were removed in favor of other things but each one will have different ones.
I'm likely to keep favorites in between games. We're probably almost always going to have Leon, for example and rarely will he be absent.
A fun thing is deciding which digimon to stick in there they've got a bunch of evolutions :D
Probably won't keep the same digimon between games unless the planned story directly calls for it.
The rom hack project is part of the paracosm. Imaginary multiverse stuff.
I have starter choices I consider to be canon to the universe of the rom hack.
(For the purpose of the following, I will bring up the reminder that if I mention a name, I'm talking about a pokemon/pokemon character unless directly specified, which I will specify in parenthesis)
For the first, the team I see as canon is Ciel(megaman zero) and Allister. No clue how it got that way but I thought of it one day and went "oh yeah that is beautifully random and works in multiple ways storywise".
In the second it's duskull and veemon(digimon). Because of reasons I shall keep secret for now like-- the first ain't even done why am I talking about a second?

My dream played out like a movie being watched. It had ✨drama✨
It started out with a scene where Drayton and Crispin were in some kind of jungle lookin place.
With dinosaurs. There were dinosaurs.
They were running from something. It wasn't a dinosaur they were running from. It was some team plasma people on small mini-car(?) sized jets.
Why was this happening? Dunno. I never found out.
They reached a motorcycle to get on because being under the trees shielded them from the jets to some degree. Otherwise they would have been caught already. These motorcycles also belonged to team plasma but they weren't going to care.
(For the record, this is the second dream I've had in which I saw Drayton driving a motorcycle with another person behind him on the motorcycle holding onto him but I don't want to remember/talk about the first one it was weird)
They got on the motorcycle and rode it out into the desert. Team plasma was about to try and make the jungle explode so not like they could stay under the trees much longer.
The jets were still faster than motorcycle because of course they are.
They just had to reach a certain part of the desert. That's where their time machine would work. But oh no. One of the flying team plasma grunts shot a missile from the jet when they were far from the place.
But just as the missile hit the motorcycle, Celebi rescued them.
Celebi brought both of them to the present. Specifically, Drayton's room at his house in Opelucid city. A dream interpretation of course.
The exploding motorcycle was also brought with them for some reason. It made a mess and a loud sound.
They heard footsteps stomping toward the door and Crispin started panickily scrambling out the window. (lol? bruh did not want to be there for what was about to possibly take place)
It was a one-story building in the dream which I doubt is actually the kind of house Drayton's family lives in, but whatever. Very safe window escape.
Drayton also looked like he wanted to escape through the window but it was too late. His door was opening. So he held it closed.
one of his parents said "There better not be an even bigger mess in there."
He said "Whatever that sound was wasn't me! Must have come from outside! And yesterday I told you guys I was going to clean it today, remember? So don't worry about it."
The only truth in what Drayton said was about the sound not being him. The rest of that was a pack of lies.
Anyway.
To Drayton's horror, his dad said "Oh really? Well in that case, if that room isn't spotless by tonight, you're in big trouble."
He managed to keep his parents from seeing the mess that was the exploded motorcycle but he definitely had to clean his room now.
So he was trying to do that but it was of course really hard, especially for a guy like Drayton who would presumably have no skill in cleaning a room.
Aside from the exploded motorcycle, the burn marks on the floor from it, and the mess that came from the force of the explosion, Drayton's room was already messy and unwalkable to begin with.
Rest in peace Drayton you will be missed.
He was not able to clean that up by that night.
Drayton was in the hall way trying to dissuade his parents from entering his room because most concerning of all to Drayton was that the remains of the explosion was still completely there.
(Impressively though, there was a walkable path through his room)
They all got to the room and Drayton, in a desperation, told the truth of the situation while his parents were both too flabbergasted and jaw-dropped by the insane unexpected variety of mess to say anything.
He said "Okay, okay, what actually happened was me and someone I know went back in time really far into the past trying to stop team plasma's plans but we couldn't do it and then we were blasted by a missile but Celebi brought us back to safety- and the explosion time traveled back with us. I lied when I said I told you yesterday I was going to clean my room today but I'm telling the truth now!"
Drayton's parents were furious, his mom less so. His dad starts going berserk at him.
Until Drayton's mom sniffs the dust on the floor and says "This smells like dinosaur mucus! Drayton is telling the truth after all." (dinosaur mucus?? huh? XD)
Drayton and his dad, in unison, say "What?"
and Drayton's mom talks about being a time traveler.
Oh? This is getting juicy.
But then I woke up. Aww :(

Been having wild insomnia lately.
Took sleeping meds around the time I needed to be going to sleep because of absolutely needing rest for church on Sunday and yet still unable to sleep until past 3 AM.
Got that feeling of falling asleep that typically lasts a few seconds before I'm out but this night the feeling lasted longer and I was not out and this happened a bunch.
This is the kind of thing I'm dealing with.
So unfortunately I feel way too bad to go to church today :[
Maybe I need two all-nighters this week instead of one to fix my ability to sleep.
If last night had any redeeming qualities, the dream I had was really good

Anyone remember Code Lyoko's 'A Hair's Breath Away' (Ep 13)?
It's one of my favorites for multiple reasons, one of them being how Odd is utilized. He doesn't go to Lyoko this time around, he's trapped in the crumbling dorms with Milly and Tamiya.
Now, usually Odd play the levity man of the Lyoko Warriors. Slipping in a joke or a wisecrack to make his friends feel better about the immense pressure they are under when constantly fighting a malicious supercomputer out for their blood.
But... in THIS situation, there's none of that.
Odd Della Robbia is all business. Knowing that both Milly and Tamiya, two young girls who are (reasonably) scared out of their wits and facing possibly lethal circumstances, Odd's funny guy demeanor drops completely, leaving his caring, driven, and most of all, responsible self, to shine through.
(Also, I really love the "big brother role" the show sometimes gave Odd when it came to those two, especially Milly. I wish they had expanded on it more, but I'm happy it was there all the same).
Have a redraw to experience my love for this episode.

I was playtesting the rom hack some--
Nah actually. Playtesting isn't the right word here.
I was messing around with the randomizer.
Randomizing is --- okay for playtesting to some degree for testing unusual scenarios I guess.
Except I had the overworld text randomized. That's completely just me having extreme goof-off time. What could I test with that?
It's real fun though and I need fun between work or I go crazy, meaning this helps regardless of if it's actually useful for testing or not.
Anyhoo
When the overworld text is randomized, almost nothing makes sense and that's one of the many reasons I like having the text randomized when I mess around with the randomizer.
Although sometimes, the text can make sense in a bizarre way not previously anticipated.
A character might say a pair of lines from two completely different parts of the game that somehow makes sense next to each other. That's not common, but it's really funny when it does happen.
Also sometimes. The text can be funny in a way I don't know how to describe
Why do I find this so funny? I actually don't know?
The timing maybe? This is actually the beginning of the story so it comically made sense. And then what Drayton said felt in character(?) idk
Might possibly get a video of Crispin bonking someone with the frying pan by tonight but I decided I want to finish Drayton's sprites first because I actually don't have many left to do.
Might also draw a few more portraits if I feel like it because why not

Anyone else have a mutual that sometimes seems to go through your blog like it's a catalogue of stuff to reblog?
Earlier (some hours ago I guess) while scrolling I had 2 notifications that I would check after scrolling to where I wanted to be but I randomly looked back to the side of the screen and then there were 12.
First two were from other folks but the next 10 were likes and reblogs from the same person and while I was checking, 2 more notifications from the same person appeared.
I appreciate this mutual very much. All I could think was "YIPPEE!! :D THE BESTIE APPROVES" as I was looking at the notifications
