Stories for Shigure, fics and art
Hello, everybody. As some of you may be aware, I have been working for some time to help promote the work of a friend of mine, the fanfic author HazelGatoya. Of, hopefully, particular interest are a series of Fire Emblem fics which comprise a series titled:
Stories for Shigure
Simply put, these fics show a, non-Deeprealmed, Shigure as he is raised in a Post-Revelations New Valla, and the stories he learns of his family’s exploits, as well as some of the Shepherds of Ylisse. The fics are posted on DeviantART and ArchiveOfOurOwn, though they’ve garnered less attention than they deserve. So, I’m hoping those of you who see this will decide to help by reading and commenting on the fics.

i love how you went from super shy and sweet to “tormenting” me lmao. im in the edt zone, so you can expect me to be super active when its 1-3am for me lol
RyoMilla headcanons;
camilla would be super hesitant to becoming the queen of Hoshido, but she’d make an amazing one! her and ryoma would bring a lot of peace to Hoshido and Nohr.
probably a really lazy couple. not lazy as in not working at all, but they definitely love mornings where they do nothing but cuddle and talk about whatever.
sakura!! and elise!! are the reason ryoma and camilla decided on having a kid. and the fact they needed a heir. but they’d be really cool parents.
camilla!shiro would be really rad too, and would often go to his mother during fights with ryoma.

Fates Royals Soulmate au
Why haven't I seen this? The only fates characters I've seen in the soulmate au is Azura and Corrin, and I'm sorry I honestly don't mean offense, but I ship others.
Think of the angst we could pull on Birthright and Conquest routes, your soulmate is either dead, or the siblings who outlived the others can't ever forgive the other side, and never finding that "true love."
So what if when you have either the name of your soulmate, their first words, or something like that, it's in the soulmates native tongue.
For this we'll use the names, and Revelotions route, cause we can get a happy ending in this one.
The Nohr siblings recognize that the lanague is Hoshidan, having seen written versions of it once or twice, but they all know better than to show enemy names in a power hungry court.
In private is another story.
Xander ponders over what this could mean for Norh's future, after all he was to be king, but to have a Hoshidan as queen? Or would she be forced to the role of concubine? Or would the other nobels rebel knowing that his soulmate is part of an enemy nation?
Elise is the most curious about what their Hoshidan soulmates are like. She and Camilla have regular talks about it.
Leo will never admit it, but he has tried to translate the four names. He's never successful because the Hoshidan language is so confusing and by the dragons why is this so hard?
The Hoshidan siblings can actually read their soulmates names, because Mikoto ain't letting those kids go be uncultured little shits. Sadly with the death of their father and the kidnapping of their siblings (I'm making this a twin au too) the Hoshidan siblings covered their wrists and forgot about them.
When everyone finally agrees to the twins cause they are forced to interact. Counterparts start bonding until they are close enough for the Norh siblings to ask for a translation of their soulmates' names.
The Hoshidan royals agree, but their shocked to see the name of one of their siblings on their Norh counterpart. Suddnley they feel a burn where the name of their own soulmate is tattooed on their wrists.
The Norh siblings are confused when they're traded to another sibling of the Hoshidan royals, but immediate understanding comes when they see their own names tattooed on their new companion.
They all decide to wait to tell Corrin and Kaumi, they all could just hear the teasing from the two.
Corrin and Kaumi already knew, having easily picked the Hoshidan language back up again. Right now they're a little busy convincing a certain maid and butler that status doesn't matter when it comes to soulmates.

Lilac brows knitted together in mild surprised at the calm yet firm outburst from the prince beside her; she was taken back by it to say the least. Camilla tilts her head to the right as her garnet gaze fixates on the eldest prince.
“You are a strange one. Why wouldn’t you let me die by fire? It’s probably less painful than whatever the enemy would have in store for me. I’ve always thought about how I would die. I’d rather die by fire than to die at the hands of my enemies. I wouldn’t want to give them that luxury.” she says looking at him speaking with honesty.
It wasn’t until the words lingered in the air did she realize that, perhaps his remark had been an indication he cared for her.
“Or is it you simply do not want me to die till after we are married and the alliance is secured?” She suggests coming off a bit more brazen; she knew it may upset him with such a remark. But, Camilla could be a cruel woman. It was who she was. But, perhaps she said it that way because she wanted to get under that armor and make him show more than he would permit when it came to emotions.
“Would You Mourn me, Ryoma?”

Camilla / Ryoma has always been a favorite of mine don't ask why. Also Camilla / Literally Any Girl
So some friends will know that I’m not exactly… Ryoma’s number one fan, shall we say. My entire motive for adding him to my multi, albeit temporarily, was to “fix” him, because he seems like a Gary Stu to me. Sorry guys. Obviously, that’s my opinion on game!Ryoma as opposed to rp portrayals because he can really be fleshed out there.
Now what’s weird is despite my general opinion of him, I do actual ship him with certain characters, and Camilla is one of them. She’s probably second only to Scarlet, which is my OTP for Ryoma.
I remember ages ago seeing someone talk about how they can only really ship Ryomilla because any other ship with him seems unequal in terms of power balance and chemistry… Which is rather ironic, because I see that with Camilla. As in, in earlier answers to this meme I mention that she’s too intense to ship easily. I actually see that as less of a problem with Ryoma than her.
But I do kind of agree with the post I saw back then in terms of how they compliment each other. In terms of actual personalities, they are rather on equal footing. And actually, I can see them playing off each other quite well?
Their supports don’t show the ship’s full potential, but a lot of them don’t. If I remember correctly, most of it is them talking about how the only thing they have in common is their mutual sibling, which really isn’t what a romantic relationship should bounce off.
Overall, I actually would really like to have that ship on this blog? I feel like there’s plenty to explore, both in developing the actual chemistry and relationship, as well as working out the problems between them, given their family history. Given how possessive Camilla is of the avatar, that does work as a starting point in the case of Ryoma potentially being even offended by her behaviour towards his kidnapped sibling, or believing her affection to be a form of manipulation. But slowly learning that she is genuine, even if over the top? He might even realise that it’s a good thing, and means that at least one person showed the avatar love during their time in Nohr. And that’s enough of a reason to get to know her better.
Look. If I ever get around to a ship bias list for Camilla, Ryoma will definitely be on there. I really want to explore that chemistry.

I'm glad I got Shiro and Siegbert cause I see them as being family (via Ryomilla and Sakumarx). But I have this fun (sad) AU where Shiro's from Revelation and his Siegbert is his both his cousin and best friend, the two have always been attached at the hip. When Shiro's brought to Askr and sees Siegbert he's happy that he'll have someone he knows here. Only to find out this Siegbert sees him as a stranger because he's from Conquest, a world where they're not family and Shiro's dad is dead. (1/2)
For Siegbert it’s strange trying to interact with this reckless guy, strange to imagine a world where they’re cousins. But as time passes he grows close to this other Shiro and hears stories. About how Shiro’s version of Siegbert is like, how he loves and idolizes his Hoshidan family as much as his Nohrian one, how he always makes sure to keep an eye on Shiro and how the two are unstoppable in battle. And it can never be in Siegbert’s world, but he still aches for that world he never knew. (2/2)
