Bare-bones warning panel for FC3S.
The FC centre warning panel area is great for a gauge pod (optimal visibility). Putting a gauge pod there however obviously means getting rid of the warning lights (and I can't stand having no warning lights!).
My solution was to replace the cruise control switch (useless to me) with a mini warning panel for the most essential warnings (CEL/Oil/Coolant).
I wanted the unit to seamlessly flow with the 80's interior as if it were an original part. I got it pretty close with the smoothed corners, back-lit orange labeling, and glossy lenses I think :)
The electronics are pretty simple. The board simply takes some switched ground signals (from the ECU and various sensors) and uses them to turn the lights on/off accordingly. The lights also turn on at startup to confirm they're working.

Painted the engine bay as well as other little things (brake booster, wiper motor, wiper cowl etc). Got the crossmember in with a friends help. For some reason it was a pain to line it on.
Today I cleaned up and serviced the steering rack. Also gave it a paint.
Next step is reassembling the front suspension. Nearly time to build the engine 😎
