1 of 2: None of know whether W&K work ten-hour days behind the scenes on their initiatives. All of their endeavors may have tremendous impact in the future. And they might loathe the bread&butter appearances because they probably feel like dolls on display (especially Catherine, sometimes I just want her to wear a shroud and pile her hair behind a bandana). However, as can be seen in the recent polarizations among royal watchers, people need and want! to identify personally with a public figure.
2 of 2: This is why monarchs went on progress. for people to shake their hands, actually see them in the flesh, that heady combination of majesty and commonplace. It forms a connection that not even images on a computer or television screen can provide. It is REAL. IMO, there needs to be a healthy balance between showing up for the launching of a new school and dealing with climate change and the challenges of early childhood. They are BOTH important for the monarchy to survive the 21st century.

On the passing of Queen Elizabeth II
"Lillibet" a familiar voice
Whispers in my ear
Philip holds out his hand
"it's time to go my dear"
"Already Philip?" but he just smiles,
"I knew you would protest,
But you've served your country well my love, now it's time to rest".
My family are gathered around,
I know their tears are for me,
But my body has grown tired,
And now I'm finally free.
"I broke the record, 70 years,
I suppose you are quite right"
I took his hand, and walked towards the tunnel of white light.
Then I stopped for a second,
And looked upon my son,
I knew I had four more words before my time was done.
I walked up behind him, as the bells began to ring,
I gave his shoulder a squeeze,
and whispered, "God save the King".
RIP Lillibet…

I know this is probably an unfair question to ask since I really don't contribute much beyond reblogging, but has there been less and less pictures released of Kate's engagements of late?
Like today and the one last week I feel like we only get 5 photos that are circulated by everyone 🤔
