Glamorous and Feminine: Rose Gold Watches for the Modern Woman
Rose gold is having a major moment in women’s fashion, adding a touch of warmth and glamour to everything from jewelry to accessories. For today’s modern woman, a rose gold watch makes a luxe statement piece that effortlessly elevates day-to-day looks.
The pinkish hue of rose gold flatters a wide range of skin tones from fair to dark. It has a vintage feel that stands out from common yellow gold and silver watches. The soft tone also pairs beautifully with other feminine materials like mother-of-pearl dials, diamond accents, and leather/suede straps.
Tumblr media
Top fashion watch brands like Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Fossil offer sophisticated rose gold watches for women. Styles range from slender minimalist timepieces to bold jewelry watches with crystals and embellishments. There are also hybrid smartwatches with rose gold cases and neutral leather straps for a seamless blend of form and function.
Beyond aesthetics, rose gold’s durability makes it ideal for everyday wear. It is a gold alloy blended with copper to achieve its signature pinkish color. This makes it more resistant to fading and scratching compared to pure yellow or white gold.
For the modern woman who wants to make a fashion-forward statement, rose gold watch styles are feminine, luxe, and versatile for any occasion. They effortlessly add a touch of glamour and vintage charm to work ensembles, date nights, or weekend casual wear. Every woman should have a hint of rose gold sparkle on her wrist.

Age Is Just A Number (It Shouldn't Hold You Back) (Alex Morgan x Reader)
Tumblr media
If there was one thing you didn't expect when you joined the USWNT, it was to develop a relationship with Alex Morgan, one that consisted of playful teasing and flirting. Despite the fact that she was ten years your senior, something she continuously reminded you of, you couldn't help but fall for her, age be damned, now if only Alex felt the same way.
Your tongue swipes along your lips as you watch Alex Morgan move to her feet, the woman’s uniform now drenched thanks to the waterlogged pitch you were being forced to play on in the semifinals against Canada in the Women’s Gold Cup.
You move past her, a smirk on your face.
“Looking good, as always Morgan.” You tease, and she rolls her eyes, giving you a playful shove as you all gather in the box for the incoming corner kick.
“Shut up.” She shakes her head, though she can’t bite back a smile.
You lick your lips, watching as Rose Lavelle sets up the corner kick, her hand held high in the air as she prepares to fire the ball.
The second the ball leaves her foot you know it’s yours, your teammates covered by the Canadian players.
You leap into the air, using your height to your advantage, jumping high above the Canadian players defending you, the ball ricocheting of your head and inches past Kailen Sheridan’s gloved hands.
You again jump into the air, throwing a fist above your head as your teammates surround you, ruffling your hair.
Rose jumps into your arms, and you lift her in the air before twirling.
“Nice corner as always Rosie.” You say, the woman giggling.
You turn towards Alex, a smirk stretching across your face.
“Are you impressed yet?” You flirt and she snorts, throwing an arm around your shoulders.
“It WAS an impressive header.” She says and you snicker.
“Don’t worry, you’ll fall for me soon.” You wink and she giggles, her cheeks flushing slightly as she makes her way towards her place on the field, ready to put the ball back into play.
***********************************************************************
The whistle blows and you sigh in relief, your clothes sticking to your body considering the rain had started back up towards the end of the second half.
A number of your teammates jog your way, Emily Sonnett in particular jumping on your back.
“Way to use your freakish tallness to take us through to the finalssss!” Emily says, her chin resting on the top of your head and you snort.
“I knew it was good for SOMETHING.” You snicker as the woman slides of your back before sprinting towards Lindsey and Rose.
Meanwhile, you make your way towards Alex, a smirk stretching across your face.
“So, what did you think of my performance?” You ask and she shakes her head.
“Ehhh.” She says and you throw your head back with a groan.
Alex nudges you with her hip.
“I’m kidding, you did great.”
You smile, throwing your arm around her middle, giving her side a squeeze, something that makes her cheeks flush.
“I do have to admit...” You say, leaning towards her, the proximity between you making her cheeks darken.
“I really like seeing you all wet.” You wink and she gives you a shove.
“Stop it.” She says, sticking her tongue out.
“I already told you, I’m too old for you.” She says exasperatedly and you shrug.
“Don’t tell me you haven’t thought about it.” You bite your bottom lip, noting the way Alex’s throat bobs.
“Y/N?” You turn, smiling when you see that you’re being waved over for an interview.
You back away from Alex, your eyes raking down her front, your tongue swiping at your lips.
“I think you’re JUST the right age for me.” You smirk, sending her another wink before jogging towards the waiting analyst.
Alex groans, rolling her eyes.
Despite the fact that Alex had told you multiple times that she was far too old for you, you continued to flirt relentlessly.
In all honesty, she HAD thought about it, but she knew you should be with someone your own age, not someone 10 years your senior.
“Mommyyyy!”
Alex smiles scooping Charlie up in her arms as she darts across the field, her little arms wrapping around her neck.
Not only was she 10 years your senior, but a mother as well, meaning her number one priority was Charlie, and would always be Charlie.
Across the field, you watch the pair with a soft smile.
“Jesus Christ, do you ever think of ANYTHING else?” Emily asks, throwing an arm around you and you grin.
“Hey, you can’t blame me for trying.” You smirk, unable to take your eyes off the forward as she makes the way around the field, Charlie in her arms.
“I mean, Alex IS milf material.” Emily shrugs, not realizing Kelley was standing behind her.
“I’m totally going to tell her you said that.” The older woman snickers and Emily’s eyes widen, her cheeks flushing.
“You wouldn’t dare...!” She says, chasing after Kelley as she sprints towards Alex.
You shake your head as you turn, shaking your opponent’s waiting hands.
You knew deep down you probably never had a chance with Alex Morgan, but there was no harm in flirting, was there?
************************************************************************
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were falling for me.” You tease as you hoist Alex to her feet after she goes down at practice.
Alex’s blue orbs widen when you reach towards her face, delicately brushing a piece of grass off her forehead.
She’s unable to stop her breath from hitching when your fingertips lightly graze her jawline, your eyes holding a softness she hadn’t seen all that often.
You clear your throat, your cheeks flushing as your bravado completely shifts, a cocky grin stretching across your face.
You send her a wink before making your back to your position on the field.
Alex’s throat bobs as you lift your shirt, using it to wipe the sweat from your face, revealing the chiseled muscle that hid beneath your shirt.
“Jan, you’ve got some drool on your chin.” Kelley teases as she jogs passed, earning a glare from the seasoned forward.
“I do not.” She grumbles and Kelley snorts.
“Could’ve fooled me.”
Alex turns away with a growl, again finding you on the field as you sprint towards Emily Sonnett, sliding in and swiping the ball from her, the blonde playfully nudging you on her way by.
Watching the interaction makes something stir within Alex, her blue orbs narrowing as she glares at the blonde.
She clears her throat, giving her head a shake before making her way down field and back into the scrimmage, putting whatever was churning in her stomach at the back of her mind.
************************************************************************
The more she saw you and Emily interact, the more her stomach churned, it didn’t take her long to realize exactly what she was feeling.
It was jealousy.
She tried her best to ignore it, but it continued to rear its ugly head.
It was then she realized she needed to put distance between the two of you, she had to ignore what she was feeling, you deserved someone your own age, not someone 10 years older than you.
It was in that moment she decided she had to put distance between the two of you, she had to ignore your constant flirting, she had to avoid you, she had to stop the feeling in her chest when she saw you with Emily Sonnett.
************************************************************************
“Looking good as always Morgan.” You wink as the huddle breaks, your eyes widening when Alex completely ignores you and turns away, jogging onto the field.
You frown, your brows knitted in confusion.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Emily asks, her hand resting on your back.
You shake your head.
“N-Nothing.” You mumble, slowly making your way towards the bench.
Maybe she hadn’t heard you?
Maybe she was so focused on the game that she just forgot to respond?
Whatever it was, it made your heart ache.
The whistle blows and you jump, pulled out of your thoughts when the fans cheer and the game ultimately starts.
************************************************************************
When the halftime whistle blows, you jog towards Alex, her throat visibly bobbing.
“Showing off for me?" You tease, screeching to a halt when Alex silently walks past you, in no way acknowledging your presence.
It was then you realize that she HAD heard you earlier, she'd just chose to ignore you, something that tears your heart in two.
“Why the long face?” Emily asks as she slings her arm around your shoulders, your frown deepening.
“Alex is ignoring me...” You mumble sadly, Emily’s brows furrow.
“Did something happen between the two of you?” She asks and you shake your head, the two of you making your way towards the locker room.
“Not that I know of.” You say, Emily humming.
“Maybe she’s just focused on the game?” She says, her head cocked to the side, and you shrug dejectedly.
“Yeah, maybe.”
************************************************************************
It turns out, Alex’s refusal to talk to you had absolutely nothing to do with the game considering once you’d gotten onto the bus, when you even looked in her direction, she turned away, shoving her air pods in her ears.
Your shoulders hunch as you drop down into an empty seat, your head hanging sadly.
“Hey, what’s wrong kid?” Kelley asks, rubbing your back on her way by and you shake your head.
“Nothing.”
Kelley scoffs, flopping down in the seat beside you.
“That’s bullshit.” She says and you sigh deeply.
“Alex won’t talk to me, and I don’t know why.” You mumble sadly, Kelley’s eyes narrowing, her brows furrow.
“When did that start?” She asks, her brown orbs darting from you to the back of Alex’s head and back.
“Today.” You swallow hard, wiggling in your seat.
“Do you want me to talk to her?” Kelley asks, your eyes widening in horror as you turn abruptly towards her.
“Please don’t, maybe she just wants space, I don’t know.” You shrug, Kelley studying your face for a moment before nodding.
“Okay kid, but if you want me to, let me know.” She says, ruffling your hair, which makes you smile.
“I will.”
Kelley makes her way towards the back of the bus, taking a seat beside Emily.
“Do you know what’s going on with Alex and Y/N?” She asks the blonde shrugging.
“Y/N just said she’s ignoring her.”
Kelley hums, her brown orbs staring holes in the back of Alex’s head.
She had no idea why Alex’s was ignoring you, but she intended to find out.
************************************************************************
“What’s going on between you and Y/N?” Kelley asks that night when Alex makes her way into the room after taking a shower, the woman stiffening.
“N-Nothing.” She says nonchalantly, refusing to look at the defender whose eyes narrow.
“Emily said she tried to talk to you and that you ignored her.”
Alex’s throat bobs, something her friend takes note of.
“I-I just didn’t hear her.” She says, the excuse lame, even to her own ears.
Kelley hums, eyeing the woman intently.
“Well, it really upset her.” She comments, the thought of you being upset making her stomach lurch.
“Oh, I didn’t realize.”
Kelley hums, turning to her phone when it chimes, busying herself with whatever is on its screen.
Alex turns away, her gaze falling to her lap.
She knew it would be better for the both of you if you didn’t speak to one another at all.
If you spoke again, the flirting would start back up and she wasn’t sure if she could handle that, not with the feelings currently stirring in her chest at just the thought of you.
Alex takes a deep breath, laying back in bed, her head resting against the hotel’s pillows.
She was convinced she was making the right decision, you deserved someone your own age, and that obviously wasn’t her.
************************************************************************
Unfortunately for you, the remainder of your time spent together is much of the same, you attempting to speak to Alex, and Alex completely ignoring you.
Needless to say, when you went home to Gotham FC, your tail was firmly trapped between your legs.
“Come on kid, cheer up.” Kelley says as she slings an arm around your middle.
You whine.
“I just don’t know what I did wrong.” You mumble sadly, Kelley frowning.
“I don’t think you actually did anything wrong...” She sighs, running a hand down your back.
“What do you mean?” You ask, your head cocked to the side, brows knitted in confusion.
“Whatever is going on, it’s on her end, you didn’t do anything wrong.”
Your eyes widen, a small smile ticking the corners of your mouth upward.
“Really?” You whisper the older woman pulling you in and giving you a squeeze.
“Really.” She says, her brown orbs widening at the sound of a whistle blowing.
“That’s our queue.” She says as she darts across the field, twisting on her heels midway.
“Just, don’t let it get to you, okay?” She smiles and you nod, jogging after her, hopeful that practice would take your mind off of the San Diego Wave captain.
************************************************************************
Your mind isn’t off of Alex Morgan long considering Gotham FC and San Diego Wave go head-to-head in a clash at Red Bull Arena soon after the international break.
Much like she had during the Gold Cup, Alex refused to acknowledge your presence, avoiding you as much as possible, the only close contact you made with her being on the field.
It’s only after the game that Alex approaches you, your heart stalling in your chest, the thought that the woman may acknowledge your presence making your heart race.
That’s until she actually gets to you, her blue orbs darting to your Y/E/C’s before she turns away.
“Good game.” She mumbles, refusing your outstretched hand and continuing to make her way around the field.
You stay rooted in place, tears stinging your eyes as you watch Alex walk away.
Unbeknownst to you, Kelley O’Hara and Emily Sonnett had witnessed the exchange and needless to say, they were FAR from happy.
“What the hell was that about?” Emily asks Kelley before jogging towards you, wrapping her arms around you from behind, pushing herself up on her tiptoes so her chin can rest on your shoulder.
“It’s okay.” She whispers in your ear, frowning when you turn in her hold, revealing the tears glistening in your Y/E/C eyes.
Emily holds you tightly, shooting a glare over your shoulder at Alex when she catches her blue orbs.
That’s not all she sees, however.
She also sees Kelley stomping her way towards Alex, Alex’s eyes widening when she sees the look of anger on Kelley O’Hara’s face.
“What’s--
“What’s your problem?” Kelley growls, the San Diego captain’s brows arching.
“What do you mean?” She asks, dumbly and Kelley scoffs.
“You know what I mean Jan, look at her.” She motions behind her at you, Emily’s arm wrapped tightly around your middle, the woman catching sight of the tears on your cheeks as the blonde guides you towards the benches, her hazel orbs narrowed as they meet Alex’s blues.
“Do you even care about what you’re doing to her?” Kelley asks, Alex’s gaze falling to her feet, unable to look at the defender standing in front of her.
“Of course I care.” She whispers and Kelley shakes her head.
“It REALLY looks like it.” She growls, stepping closer to Alex, her voice dropping below a whisper.
“The sooner you accept what you’re feeling for her, the sooner you’ll both be happy.”
Alex’s head snaps upward, her eyes locking with Kelley’s.
“I don’t have feelings for her.” She mumbles and Kelley scoffs, rolling her eyes.
“That’s why you’re pushing her away, isn’t it?” She asks but gets no response.
“You know, your age doesn’t matter.” She says, noting the bob of Alex’s throat.
“It does Kel.” She mutters and Kelley rolls her eyes.
“Yeah, only to you, no one else cares Al.” She shakes her head and Alex’s nostrils flare.
“I’m a mom Kelley, I have more than just screwing around on my mind.”
Kelley groans.
“You do realize, it isn’t JUST about screwing around for her, right?” She asks, Alex’s brows knitting in confusion.
Kelley pinches the bridge of her nose.
“Her bravado is all an act Jan; she only acts that way because she’s afraid of facing her real feelings for you.”  She sighs deeply, watching as realization dawns on Alex’s face.
It’s then that she spots you across the field, Charlie racing towards you, wrapping her tiny arms around your legs.
Almost immediately, you lift her into the air with a small smile, giving her a playful spin, the little girl giggling wildly.
“Oh.” Alex whispers, and Kelley snorts.
“Yeah, oh.” She says with an annoyed eye roll.
“Now, fix it.” She says before making her way towards the sidelines where her teammates have gathered.
Alex turns back to you, her blue orbs catching your Y/E/C’s, the smile that graced your face shifting to a small frown as you slowly place Charlie on the ground and nod in Alex’s direction, the little girl sprinting towards her mother.
It was in that moment, as you turned away from her, that she knew she had to fix it.
***********************************************************************
When you shuffled through your apartment that night, you were exhausted, not only from the physical exertion on the game, but emotionally as well.
You never expected for Alex to ignore you directly to your face, but she did, and that fact made your heart ache.
You still didn’t know what you did wrong, maybe you’d come off too strongly with your flirting?
Maybe she’d finally realized that your bravado was only for show, used to mask your true feelings for the older woman.
You flop down on your couch’s surface, your eyes fluttering shut, hopeful that sleep would take you momentarily.
Just as you’re on the cusp of sleep, however, a light tapping makes your eyes flutter, open your brows furrowed in confusion.
It isn’t long before the light taps repeat, and it’s then you realize that someone is knocking on your apartment door.
You reluctantly leave your place on the couch before shuffling to the door and leaning against it.
“Who is it?” You ask, your voice scratchy.
You listen intently, a soft shuffling behind the door before a soft voice replies.
“It’s Alex.”
Silence envelopes the two of you before you slowly open the door, your brows furrowed as you peer through the crack, coming face to face with the woman who had been avoiding you for months.
You pull the door the rest of the way open, your eyes studying Alex’s face intently, the woman shuffling nervously from foot to foot.
“I’m sorry.” She suddenly blurts out, your eyes widening as Alex’s blue orbs remain focused on the floor.
You find yourself taking a step to the side moments later, waving your arm, beckoning her to enter your apartment, something that she almost instantly does.
Your throat bobs as you push the door shut behind her, your back to the older woman.
You knew whatever was about to happen, there was no going back, but now you had no choice, you had to face Alex Morgan, you had to find out what was going on between the two of you.
Your breath catches in your throat when a pair of arms wrap around you from behind, your heart racing when you feel Alex bury her face between your shoulder blades.
You stiffen, unsure of what you should do, did you cover Alex’s hands with your own, or did you push her away?
Subconsciously, your hands drift to Alex’s gently resting on top of hers, the woman sighing against your back.
“I’m sorry I was so stupid.” She whispers, nuzzling against your back.
Your heart swells in your chest, the feeling of her pressed against your back everything you’ve ever wanted and more.
“Why did you ignore me...?” You ask, humming when Alex pushes her fingers between your own.
“I was jealous.” She mumbles against your back, your brows furrowing as you turn in her hold.
“Of what?” You ask, your hands finding their way to Alex’s waist.
She shrugs, her breath hitching when you gently take her chin between your thumb and index finger.
Her mouth opens and closes repeatedly before she sighs loudly.
“Seeing you with Emily, I couldn’t help but think you deserved someone your own age.” She whispers and you shake your head, Alex’s breath hitching when you turn the tables, pressing her back against your apartment door.
“I don’t want anyone my own age, I want you.” You whisper, Alex’s throat bobbing as her eyes dart from your Y/E/C orbs to your lips and back.
Much to your surprise, she lunges forwards, her lips meeting yours in a tender, and long overdue kiss.
You kiss back without hesitation, your palms resting on the wall on either side of Alex’s head as you kiss softly.
Alex’s hands slip to the back of your neck, her fingers tangling in your hair as you kiss passionately.
You’re unable to stop yourself from chuckling when you pull back, the woman pinned to the wall whining loudly as you bury your face in her neck, nuzzling her jawline.
“Our first kiss and you’re already addicted.” You tease, earning an eye roll.
“Shut up.” She mumbles before pulling you back in for another kiss.
Eventually, you make your way to the couch, Alex’s pinned beneath you as you kiss softly, giggling loudly when you bury your face in her neck, peppering her flesh with kisses.
You pull back reluctantly, your eyes locking with Alex’s bright blue orbs.
She smiles softly when you lean in, kissing her lips over and over again until she starts laughing.
It isn’t long before you’re lowering yourself on top of her, her legs spread as you rest your head against her chest, the woman drawing small patterns against your back.
You nuzzle into the crook of her neck, your eyes fluttering shut as your heart rate slows, your earlier exhaustion making itself known.
“What does this mean for us...?”  You slur, unable to fight your fluttering eyelids as they close.
Alex hums, her lips parting to answer, that is until she realizes you’d drifted off.
She holds you tightly to her chest, feeling you smile against her neck as you nuzzle closer.
“It means I’m going to stop being such an idiot and worrying about what others think, and worry about what I want, and that’s you.” She turns her head, kissing your forehead before her own eyes flutter shut.
Thankfully, Kelley had offered to keep Charlie for the night, meaning she could remain where she currently was, your body weight on top of her as you slept soundly in her arms.
You were the first to wake the next morning, beaming when you realized that what had happened the following night wasn’t a dream, Alex Morgan was fast asleep beneath you, her arms wrapped tightly around you as she slept peacefully, a smile on her face.
You hum, burying your face back in her neck as you fall back asleep, eager to see what the future held for you and Alex Morgan.

marry me, major john egan
pairing: major john "bucky" egan x amelia mae
content: john proposes to amelia mae.
an: I told y'all I'd write it eventually, hehe
Tumblr media
John Egan did not have marriage in his cards. It seemed like a farfetch idea that was unattainable; at one point undesirable. He was a playboy, a rolling stone; women, alcohol, and the infamous party life at his fingertips. Those things consumed his life like a fire, until her cool waters calmed the flames.
He didn’t consider himself to be marriage material. He was selfish. Impulsive. Immature. The qualities any woman would reject in a good husband. But, she peeled back the layers and helped him discover what was under the surface. He was kind, gentle, protective, and so loving. To her, he was a dream.
Amelia Mae was the kind of women to never let slip through the cracks. She was too good of a woman to not be desired by other men. He would be a fool to not make every effort to spend the rest of his life with her. Who would he be without her?
Within two weeks, he had a velvet box with a gold ring inside, waiting to encase her finger. He was nervous. Nervous that he’d say the wrong thing, that he wouldn’t say enough, or that she’d reject his proposal an dhe be left feeling like a fool.
But, they’d grown so much together, they’d spent so much time together, they’d loved each other more than life itself. Would she really?
John caught her off guard. She was bustling around the kitchen trying to ensure the brownies for dessert were perfect. Crunchy on the outsid eand gooey in the middle just as they liked. She search the cabinets for powdered sugar, and when she turned around, she found the pilot on one knee, shiny gold ring staring at her. “Johnny…”
“I kept trying to find all the right words to say, but I don’t think words could amount to what I want to say. I just know that I love you and I want to spend the rest of my days with you. Rose, will you marry me?”
Amelia placed the bag of sugar on the table beside her. Her moves were slow and calculated. Her watery eyes dropped to the ring. Just as she described. Gold with the prettiest square diamond in the center. Stunning. She nodded slowly, a shaky smile on her lips as she tried not to cry like a baby.
“Yes?” John asked, eyes hopeful. Amelia repeated his statement with more authority and nodded. John let out a sigh of relief and smiled like a kid in the candy store. Slowly, he pulled the ring out of the box and slid it on her left hand. She examined it in awe.
“I tied down Major John Egan. Do I get an award?” She giggled softly. John rolled his eyes playfully and stood to his feet. He swept his thumb under her eye to wipe away the fallen tears and shook his head.
“Ha ha,” he replied, unamused. “But I don’t know, make it to the back fast enough and you might.”
Amelia’s lips pursed and her eyebrows raised in interest. She eyed the brownies on the eye of the oven then her fiance. She swiped one off the counter and skipped to the bedroom. “Don’t keep me waiting!”
With a chuckle, John watched her go, feeling a warmth spread through his chest at the thought of spending the rest of his days with her As he followed her into the bedroom, he couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the woman who had changed his life in ways he never thought possible. In their shared moment, he knew that he had found his forever in Amelia Mae.

Brown Wood rarely ever has its lights out, as it housed so many people. Rare were the times the place succumbed to darkness. Still, there were moments when all the servants, maids, men, and women were asleep and not candle was lit.
Lord Clegane purposefully returned to Brown Wood amidst this darkness. As he opened and closed the gate with as much care as he could, determined not to make a sound, he finds himself thinking of the first time he came here with his wife, her servant, and their dog. The darkness Brown Wood was succumbed to was not the same it was now. Where once there was fearful abandonment now had peaceful slumber.
If you told him this was the childhood home of his lady's family, he'd believe you; it was a large estate, abandoned as it was. And if you add it had been abandoned once because of a plague of woodland monsters that ended killing her family, well, he'd still believe you, because damned if he doesn't.
That's where he had come from, the cursed forest.
But the Brown Wood estate was no longer cursed, and it was all because of her, the sun of this side of Westeros, his beloved wife. It was because of her that this haunted place was now bustling with life, because of his bride... that he was so eagerly avoiding.
Sandor prayed to the gods that his wife's loyal mutts would not wake to the smell of him. He prayed as he reached for the door handle that they had not slept near the fireplace in the living area, but if they did, that they were too tired to wake.
He sucks a breath and enters his home.
Darkness. Silence. Nothing.
He releases the breath as he shut the door.
Pants. Patters. Chuffs.
"Fuck."
Sandor looks down and catches flashes of dark furred creatures circling around him. One, he recognized to be Rose because of her size, got on her back legs and rested her front paws on him. The other two began to get excited as he swatted their sister away. They thought it a challenge to start playing.
He recognizes Sage as he softly barks and immediately drops on his knees to shush the dog.
Sage and his sisters come upon him and begin to lick his body. He would have tolerated it, had he not been covered in black, tar-like muck left over on his skin and armor.
"Fuck off, pups," he whispers as he pushes them away and stands. Lilac, ever the big mouth, began to bark in protest. Her barks echoed across the whole place.
"SHHH!" he silences in a panic, "you're going to wake your mum!"
His ghost nearly leaves him when he hears, "she was never asleep to begin with."
Sandor turns and finally spots the woman that had been sitting in darkness all this time. "Bloody seven, girl," he gasps in shock, "what are you doing in the dark?"
He walks over, lighting a candle on the table, then looks at her. Her eyes were dark and tired. Her arms were crossed and jaw was clenched.
He watches her stand and look him once over.
He immediately says, "I'm not injured."
She rolls her eyes and looks away, "I can tell, Hound."
His face twitches as she walks past him. He follows after but winces when she hisses that he better not keep the candle open.
And so the Hound blows the flame out and the rest of the dogs follow their master across the place.
He wants to tell her he did good today. He really did! He saved the villagers from an attack, helped them with their cow problem too! And he counted and killed 20 monsters in the fucking woods. Twenty!
But that was the fucking problem, and he knew it. Hell, even the pups knew it.
He was spending so much time trying to eviscerate the tar fucks he was barely home anymore. But what was he to do? Not kill the them and have his wife go on an expedition to fucking Volantis looking for a witch Littlefinger told her to look for? Fuck no. He would rather feel her sheer disappointment for coming home late than to have her go to a foreign land looking for answers she doesn't even know for certain she's going to get.
Sandor soon realizes she's leading him off to the bathroom. She opens the door and lights candles for him.
"The water is surely cold now, but you'll have to make due," she says as she brings a flame to four waxen cylinders. After setting them down, she shoos the pups that followed them in and closes the door once they were out. She then walks over and helps him out of his sticky armor.
Sandor thinks she's like a fairy in this light, though she was clearly displeased with him and exhausted from waiting up.
"Forgive me for staying out late," he mutters, wanting nothing but to hold her arms as she removed his top. He wouldn't dare touch her in this state though, caked in muck.
She scoffs, "I'll forgive you when you stop doing it."
Once Sandor was out of his metal top, she looks up at him and sighs, "bathe quickly."
"Aye," he nods surely, "I will."
"I cannot sleep alone."
"Aye," he says weaker, "I know."
"Yet still you make me wait for you," she retorts tiredly.
"… I thought you'd be able to sleep with the pups."
"The pups aren't you, Sandor."
"I-"
She walks off to wash her hands. Sandor scrams to help her.
Once her hands are clean, she curtsies and exits the bathroom.
"I'll be quick," he says, because he can't say 'I didn't think it through.'
She simply hums in acknowledgment.

My eyes were heavy, head was hurting. My whole body was crying out for respite, yet I could not sleep. I hear the door. I slowly open my eyes.
I feel Sandor draw near, but he doesn't lie beside me. I barely make out his form but I hear him kneel by the bed. He takes my hand slowly into his.
"Come to bed," I mumble under my breath but even I can't hear it with how low it was.
I open my eyes enough to make out his face, at least as much as the darkness would allow me.
He speaks with the softest of voices "I don't want you to go to sleep upset with me."
I don't have it in me to continue a conversation. Instead I pull away from him and scoot back.
Sandor is perfectly still on his spot.
Once there was a good space between us, I beckon him over by patting and rubbing the bed.
Sandor climbs to my side and I immediately sprawl on top of him. The smell of his body was a comfort, the feel of his form and warmth nearly made me faint.
I could feel his tension. I rub his ribs and shush him, "go to sleep."
Sandor lifts his head to look at me. After, he lets himself relax and stare at the ceiling until sleep takes him.
When I wake up, I'm laid atop my husband. My head was rested by his left collar bone and my leg was thrown across his hips.
It takes me a few moments to realize he was rubbing my thigh. Upon looking at his hand, then his face, I confirm, he was already awake.
Sandor looks at me and frowns.
I frown back and raise my brows.
He brushes my hair away from my face, "you're mighty tired, girl."
I relax and realize what the frown was for. Normally, twas I that woke up earlier. He was concerned because that was not the case today. "I cannot sleep well without you."
"Aye," he sighs. He brings his hand to the curve of my bum, "apologies."
My breathing grows heavy as he pushes my dress up.
"I feel terrible," he mutters, "let me make it up to you." Sandor kneads at my hip and sequentially pulls me atop him.
I do not say a word, I simply let him rub his hands on my thighs. I rest my palms on his chest and watch him examine my body.
His hands find their way up my nightgown and into my smallclothes. He locks eyes with me as he tugs them down, testing to see if I'd give him permission.
I lick my lips and tilt my head. I grab his wrists. We stare at each other for a moment.
"I do not like this routine," I mutter.
Sandor's face betrays him. He looks panicked.
I huff and shake my head, "you taking me because you're guilty."
He clenches his jaw.
"I do suppose is better than… nothing… but…"
My heart leaps into my throat when Sandor calls my name. It was a rare occasion when he did, as he opted pet names; it did things to me. When I tense, he takes the opportunity to pull away and grasp my wrists.
"Tell me how to make it up to you," he whispers.
Sandor and I watch each other's stillness.
After a moment of waiting, I pull my hands away and lean into him again. I prop my hands on his chest and he allows me to do as I please. After some shimmying and hovering, I rid myself of my underwear.
He watches as I toss it off the bed and straddle snuggly on his hips. I grab his wrists and bring his hands underneath my clothes, a silent encouragement to touch me.
The Hound squeezes and claws. I suppress a sound when he bucks into me. I feel my belly swirl in excitement but I do not allow my mind to be fogged before I get to say what's long overdue.
"Stop hunting at night."
Sandor releases a deep breath as he shifts upward on the bed. He licks his lips, "you know I won't do that."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm so close to purging those fucking monsters," he mutters as his hands roam up my body.
"H-" I whimper when he kneads my breasts. I huff, "h-how do you know that?"
"Because they're few and far between," he shifts upward again and sequentially pulls my dress off me. Before I can cover myself, his mouth covers me, or more accurately my right breast.
I lean into him and grip his shoulder.
He sucks on my flesh then licks my nipple. He grips my ribs and further sinks into my bosom. He brings his face into my cleavage and begins to suck. He was intent, I knew, on leaving marks.
I feel him begin to rock his hips and I audibly react to the feel of his pants against my bare flesh.
I bite my lower lip and grab at his shirt, attempting to pull it off him.
He groans and pulls me closer into him, unwilling to separate his mouth from my skin. He pushes my hair back and trails kisses up to my neck. He nips my skin before finally pulling away.
Now fully sat up, he looks at me darkly. He rubs the places he'd kissed, as if examining his work, then finally, takes his top off himself.
He stills when I fondle with his waistband. He rather unwillingly allows me to move and rid of his pants. Once it was past his bum, he pulls me back down like he was scared I'd run off.
I whimper when he does so. Sandor rids himself of his final piece of clothing.
"Dance on my cock, darling."
My breath hitches. My cheeks flush.
His hands sprawl across my thighs, covering them nearly wholly and urges me to move back and forth.
I gulp as I feel my body heat up as I maneuver my hips.
The groan that leaves his mouth is high praise to me.
I garble out a sound when his thumb rubs at my nub. He hisses when he feels the wetness there, "fuck, sweetheart. You drive a man mad."
He plays with me some more then pulls his hand away to spread the wetness across his fingers, "gods be fucking good, all this for me?"
My face burns with embarrassment. I bring my hand across my chest, "Sandor."
He perks with concern and immediately cages me in his arms. He peppers kisses down my neck, "no, my lady. I'm in awe of you."
I mewl when he digs his fingers into my hair and tugs at the roots.
"Such sweetness...." he whispers against my ear, "this for an ugly dog?"
"S-stop it," I quip and give him a shove.
He pulls back and looks down at me.
I hold his gaze and scowl, "don't speak like that."
"What? R'you saying you think me pretty?"
"I do," I retort.
He laughs and rubs my arms to warm me, as if I could be cold against him. He grabs my hips then ruts into me. I make a sound as I watch him take his hardened length and slowly sink into me. I gasp as I feel him press balls deep into me.
He shudders against my ear, "liar."
The Hound begins to thrust upward and the sounds I make are muffled by his mouth. He kisses me like he's starved, and perhaps he was.
He tightens his arms around me. He buries his face into my neck. He breathes in deeply. He sighs, "color me flattered though."
I squeak when he shoves me on my back and pushes my calves into my thighs. He grunts, "fuck ya good for it."
I screw my eyes shut and throw my head back as Sandor snaps into me. With every flick of his hips, the bed creaks and I move farther and farther down the bed. He has so push me down in place to keep me from slipping any farther. He pins me by my shoulder and brings my legs up in front of him.
My legs rest his shoulder. He kisses my ankle, "my darling wife."
The Hound persists in a rough and quick pace, hardly stopping, slowing only to tease me. He gnaws at whatever part of me his mouth can reach and grunts as he explores my body. He molds me against him, hands pawing at my flesh, touching, feeling, steadying.
I'm a toy, a chew toy of a hound, something he craves to stretch, gnaw, and tear but so is very selfish and protective of.
He rubs my belly and it pushes me on edge.
When I come, I'm exhausted; I always am.
When he comes, he's spent and hot and dripping; by extension, as am I.
Sandor curses as he gives his final thrusts. I'm shaking and raw beneath him. He eventually stops and looks down upon his destruction. He spreads the slick on my thighs. He wraps my legs around him like a belt.
"I love to see you like this," he mutters in between breaths.
I heave as I blink slowly. My eyes act like I didn't just wake up from my sleep; I feel exhausted.
"Want to see you heavy with child," he rubs my belly, "my child. Fuck. I want to see you full. Love to see you leaking but I can't have that."
I try to move my legs, he instantly prevents me, "a bit more, love."
"… my leg is cramping," I cover my face with my arm.
He presses my thighs back into my chest, "just a bit more."

Sandor was laid back in bed, tracing his wife's spine with his fingers. She was straddled around his waist, laid upon him like a blanket. He listened to the sound of her steady breathing and slowly, involuntary, they begin to breathe at the same pace.
He could not express the relief, the astonishment he felt the very first time she let him hold her. The fact was, his tongue itches to tell her, to thank her for allowing him to relish the softness of her body, the warmth of her skin, the gentleness of her, even when she did not have to, even when he was not she was not getting anything in return, not like when they had sex.
But he would not express this. For what good was thanks if he had nothing to show for?
Words are empty.
For his lady, he'd carve out every skull and lay them upon her feet. He was good at that. But words? Empty.
Sandor watches as his wife stirred and looked at him.
Her hair was wild, skin sticky, eyes heavy, lips swollen. If gods were real, she was one of them.
"I think we should get dressed, husband."
His stomach skips at the name. He hated that he was so affected by it when he knew that it was duty to her; all she could feel for him was borne out of duty.
He brushes her hair back and nods, "I will not keep you longer than you'd like."
He notices how she purses her lips. He notices how she smiles. A dutiful smile.
Sandor smiles back. He wishes she'd grin at him the way she did her pups but he was hardly anything to grin about.
He watches as she pushes herself up and stands. He watches as she grabs her shift from the floor and heads to the bathroom.
Sandor rolls on the bed, breathing in the scent of their fucking… their love making. He loved her.
How could he love her if he hurt her?
He sighs and fantasizes about his wife being with child. He wonders if she'd like him more or stop caring for him once that happens.
He shakes it out of his head before he makes himself sad.
Later that day, he's back to training the boys how not to get themselves killed with their own swords. They've learned to be punctual all on their own (Polly snitches on whoever was late for the day, though he's never really set a time when practice starts).
Sage liked watching practice. He never did anything besides walk around and sniff whatever he could put his nose to, but he was always there. In some way, Sandor was very touched by this.
He was very protective of the pup, and found himself watching the small creature more than the kids he's supposed to be teaching.
But of course, he doesn't give a fuck about anyone else when his wife comes out.
"Sandor."
Immediately, Sandor turns around and perks up at the sound of the voice. Unbeknownst to him, the rest of the people in the yard do as well.
Lucy walks next to her lady. She holds a basket in one hand while she brings the other around her lady's arm. He feels a bitterness in his mouth, a bitter envy over the comfort the two women had with each other. He knows he'll never have that with his wife, but it doesn't hurt him any less.
"Lucy and I will go out to the market."
He drops everything and steps forward, "I'll accompany you."
Sage sticks his tongue out as he runs towards his beloved master, as if he understood the conversation, as if saying he, too, would be coming.
Sandor takes one look at the pup and says, "you sure as fuck 're not invited, dog."
Lady Clegane hushes the dog and reiterates a puppy cannot join them, then she looks up at Lord Clegane, "you do not have to join us either."
Sandor doesn't argue, he simply looks at Lucy, who was giving him a greasy look, and heads off to the gates.
Sandor had absolutely no idea which part of the market they were headed, so when they got there, he constantly glanced over his shoulder until eventually, his wife stopped at a vegetable stand. He turns back and hovers by them.
"Do you think we should get pumpkins?" Lady Clegane asks while absentmindedly holding an onion.
Lucy tilts her head, "we could but I don't think I could carry it."
"I'll carry it," Sandor chirps.
The two turn to him. His wife smiles and Lucy grins like a fool.
They end up buying a pumpkin that was nearly the size of his head.
Sandor is unable to make out what the two women were talking about as they walked in front of him because of how many people waved good morning or greeted him far too jovially. At a point, the women had to stop as Sandor got held up by a crowd of people wanting to have small talk with him.
Like a star, his wife saves him with her shining smile, garnering all the attention of the people for herself and quickly dispelling it. He has no idea how she does it.
They move on after and then his wife spots a stand of strawberries. He vaguely hears her excitedly tell Lucy how much she loves strawberry pie. Lucy tells her she knows this in the same excited way.
Lady Clegane is allowed to sample a strawberry. The Hound catches himself smiling at the way his wife savored the fruit.
They buy a basket full of strawberries and, just as Lucy and her lady walk away, Sandor asks the vendor where he could strawberry seeds. He doesn't get a straight answer right away and by the time he does, the women have walked off quite far.
Thankfully, by the time they notice their Hound was missing, Sandor managed to come back with a pouch of strawberry seeds in his pocket. He doesn't say anything about it though.
When they get back to Brown Wood, he immediately asks the groundskeeper, Job, if he could help him plant strawberries.

One of the servant girls, Margaret, was helping me out today. I was attempting to bake strawberry pie, and after three failed attempts, it was shaping up to be a futile task.
Margaret, face flushed and temples moistened with sweat, placed the fourth pie she fetched from the oven onto the kitchen counter. I frown as she wipes her forehead on her sleeve but play it off when she turns to me with a grin. Margaret says, "it smells so good, milady."
I give her back a smile, "I am glad to hear it."
She watches as I grab the knife and lean onto the counter. She says, "I'm very, very, very sure that we managed to make the pie just the way you like it."
I chuckle at the girl and place a hand on her shoulder, "I would hope so. I feel terrible for taking you from your chores, Margaret."
She perks and immediately shakes her head and hands, "don't be, milady! We all of us love helping you out," she brushes her hair away from her face, "even if we have to make twenty more pies to suit your taste, I would not complain."
I laugh softly as I take a towel and hold the hot pie tin in place. I take a slice of the dessert, though it was still scalding, and transfer it to my plate. I then move it towards the 3 other pies on the counter.
The truth is, there was nothing wrong with the pies. I had Margaret help me with making them precisely because she knew how to and I didn't. It's just that they didn't taste like the ones in my childhood, and I could not take it.
There was a pit in my stomach because of my lacking attempts. It was not of hunger, make no mistake, it was of longing.
I take a forkful of pie from my plate and take my time blowing some air on to the jammy thing before taking it into my mouth.
Margaret watches me with anticipation as I chew.
I look at her hopeful eyes, wanting nothing but to tell her we finally did it, but I supply her the truth, "it still tastes different."
Margaret deflates. I place the fork down on my plate as I lick my lips.
"Although the lemon and the cream did help a lot," I offer as consolation.
The girl perks and claps her hands, "then we're on the right path!"
I clear my throat and smile.
"Perhaps we can try adding other fruits into it. Or maybe you can try to recall some more details about the pie? Like a smell? Vanilla is hard to miss."
"Mmm, I don't think they added vanilla." I push the plate towards Margaret, "have a try, but be careful. It's still piping hot."
She grins at me, "thank you, milady!" then grins at the pie, taking her own fork.
I laugh at her, feeling a giddy sensation as I watch her lean forward as she takes a slice.
Margaret was the youngest out of the servant girls. She was 10 and 5 but looked quite mature for her age because of her height and fuller figure. Her demeanor was fully that of a darling girl though. Her parents used to be bakers. She told me she does not remember where their bodies were buried, so she occasionally offers prayers for them at an oak tree she used to swing on.
I imagine what it would be like for me to have my own child here in this moment. Would they also like strawberry pie? Would they care to help make it? Would they smile at me like Margaret?
I look up and see the Hound marching over. He looked a bit winded, and I figure he came from training. My belly tingles as we make eye contact.
Margaret finally takes a bite and she quite literally jumps up. She covers he mouth as she speaks, "THIS IS DELICIOUS!"
I giggle, "is it really?"
"By the gods, milady. You mean to tell me what you used to eat was better than this?"
I chuckle and watch as Sandor walks over. He heads for the cupboard where he immediately snatches a bottle of wine. He uncorks it with a pop and chugs it.
"Ehm, in a word it is," I reply to Margaret, "all I know is that it tastes different. I can't quite figure what however."
Sandor lets out a satisfied breath as he pulls the bottle away from his lips. He walks towards me, and it seems as though Margaret noticed him only now, judging by the way she jolted back and quickly greeted him.
The Hound ignores her though as he scrutinizes the countertop. He turns to me, "been baking all day, have you, little girl?"
I part my lips and battle with myself on a response. On one hand, I want to nag about how I was suddenly little girl again, but then again I quite enjoyed how his lips subtly curved upward as he spoke it.
Margaret steps back as Sandor takes up all the space by my side.
Although it was not glaringly obvious, there was a look of amusement in my husband's eyes. He sets the wine next to the pie slice and leans on the counter to get eye level with me, "you gonna give me a taste?"
I watch as he licks his lips and catch the way the wine stained them.
And so, to ward off my inner turmoil, I nag him about that instead, "alright. A slice in return for this," I snag the wine bottle, shocked by how he managed to drink it half empty already, though I really shouldn't. "You've had enough wine for today, Hound."
Sandor straightens up, dumbfounded by the turn of events. He shifts on his spot to watch me hand over the wine to Margaret, "get me a pitcher of water, my dear."
"Fuck water," Sandor scoffs.
Margaret looks between me and Sandor, heavily unsure and anxious of what to do next.
"Give me the bottle, wench," the Hound barks.
Margaret gulps and I take a step between them.
"Stop it," I scowl at him.
"But-"
"You won't enjoy the flavor of the pie if you ruin your tongue with wine." I look over and dismiss Margaret. She quickly curtsies and runs off.
"Hey- GIVE IT BA-"
"Stop it!" I grab his shoulders, "quit scaring the girl!"
The Hound walks back as I push him, "she took my wine!"
"You can have wine at supper," I quip, "if you're going to have pie, just have pie."
Sandor huffs as I release him. I then take my fork and slice a chunk for him. I bring the fork to my lips and take a moment to blow on the pie. Once it's cool enough, I bring my fork towards Sandor, my other hand underneath it to catch any falling crumbs. I get on my tiptoes to have a better hold on the fork.
He pulls his head back at first, but two seconds later, he leans in and takes a bite.
I relax on the pads of my feet and put the fork down.
He chews as he looks down on me.
I stare up at him with expectation.
He licks his lips and nods, "it's good."
I wait for him to say anything more but he doesn't. I press my lips into a line, "that's nice to hear."
He looks at me for a moment, hums, and tilts his head, "what do I owe you, then?"
"What?"
"What do I owe you?"
I raise my brows.
"Want me to feed you next?" he raises a brow.
I furrow my brows, "no…? You don't owe me anything."
He hums and shakes his head, "how about a kiss?"
"What?"
Sandor smiles lopsidedly. He bends and places his hands on my waist, yanking me into him. My body blazes with crackling flames as I'm pressed against him.
Before he can lean in, I push him by his chest with both hands. I immediately turn my face away and quip with my eyes shut, "you don't have to kiss me!"
I hold my breath. Sandor watches. Slowly, whatever expression he held slips off and gets tugged down along with the corners of his lips.
He releases me and I catch my breath. Sandor feels like his hands and arms were foreign appendages that had no business being on him. He awkwardly clenches and unclenches his fists.
I turn back to him with knit brows. He looks at me with a hard expression.
"You don't owe me things, Sandor."
His expression tightens.
I huff and place a hand on his chest, "I don't do things so… you have to repay me…"
A deep line forms between his brows.
I shake my head, shrug and smile softly, "I do them because I want to… you should only do the same."
He sighs through his nostrils and takes the hand I had on his chest. He brings it into his large ones and looks at them.
He opens his mouth and speaks so softly, under his breath, "you have such a strong sense of duty."
I blink at his words, thinking they somehow feel out of context. I figure it was true anyway, so I agree, "a sense of duty keeps me together."
Sandor turns back to me, "just as your duty being my wife."
I raise my brows.
He kisses the back of my hand before setting it down. He nods at me as he mutters, "I want what you want… If you don't want me to kiss you, then I won't."
My eyes widen, "I- I didn't say that."
He chuckles dryly, "you pulled away so fervently."
"Because you asked me what you owed!" I exclaimed, "you don't owe me."
He laughs a bit louder, "everything's got a price."
For a moment we stare at each other.
"Then how much do I owe you?"
He seems to thinks for a moment. He offers no response.
I suck in a breath, "if you want to kiss me, kiss me. Kiss me because you want to, not because… you owe me." I feel pathetic as I add, "I do not wish to buy your affection."
"Do you want me to kiss you?"
I feel my mouth go dry. It's as though my voice is taken from me and I barely manage to croak out a, "yes."
It takes too long. The Hound does not believe it. He shakes his head and says with no conviction, "very well."

All the maids and house keepers were let go, but were given a large bag of mora in compensation. They were allowed to take anything they want from the manor, you were going to sell it as you had no need of it.
which all is left is you and this empty house.
Tick...Tick....Tick.....
You tapped your foot against the floor, your legs crossed sitting on an loafy chair besides a window. You had a golden pocket watch in your hand checking every minute.
"They should be here in one...two... three..."
Bang
You closed the pocket watch swiftly, placing it inside your coat pocket. Patting your chest as you hold your hands together listening the door be swinged open.
It was obvious at this open your the creator, your golden eyes hidden behind your sunglasses. Monsters and enemies not bothered by your presence. It's clear what your identity is. Especially the death of the imposter. The golden eyes they had, have transferred to you much to your displeasure.
You took a sip from a glass of champagne you poured for yourself.
Your "entourage" soon appeared Infront of you, clearly disheveled and worried. They were on their knees grasping at straws, panting like the dogs they are.
Before they could even speak you rose your hand to silence them.
"How about we play a little game...you want me to be your God. Correct? So..." You stood up watching their eyes follow you, as you make way to window hitting the notch open. " If you win this game, I'll be your God. "
They looked at each other confused.
"My Grace, our creator what game are you suggesting?" Zhongli asked.
You hummed, " A game of cat and mouse. To play a game, there must be rules. Here are mine."
* 1. No unlawful killing of innocents, even if they help me don't hurt them. That includes yourselves as well
* 2. The form I am in now will be my main one, only to make it fair for you all. However I'll still use my abilities to my advantage. Including tools.
* 3. All of you are against me and me alone. However to make it fun I'll have sometimes a "spy" on your side. A random chosen person who will give me info.
"As I stated earlier if you catch me, I'll be your God and do whatever you want me to do."
The entourage looked at each other and nod in approval.
Venti looked at you in admiration, " We agree to our Creator's rules! It's obvious this is a test for us."
Zhongli agrees with it, "Our Creator is testing our faith after our failure to noticed the imposter. We don't deserve such mercy."
You kinda stood their like "huh?" As Ei nod to the other two. " We will play our Creator's game and prove our devote loyalties."
You smiled at them, " recruit whoever you wish, there no time limit. " You walked over to the mirror.
"THE GAME STARTS IN 1...2...3! GO!" You immediately jumped out of the window, throwing a confetti bomb at them to disorient them. Gold confetti flying everywhere with dust of glitter and smoke.
The acolytes cover their mouth, shielding their eyes as Venti clear the air.
" CAPTURE THE CREATOR NO MATTER WHAT!" zhongli yells out , pointing towards the window.
-----------------------------------------------------------
You were running, you didn't know where but you just ran. You can practically feel your heart hitting against your chest, the adrenaline pumping through your veins.
God, you never felt more alive then now, this doesn't compare to stressing over exams or phone calls to doctors or setting up your college funds. Hell, not even when you transported to this world as their God.
It was euphoric.
You were practically leaping around in joy.
How can those y/n's in those SAGAU fics be so foolish. You came from the same background as those fics, but why was the world wrapped around your finger?
The strongest people in all of genshin are chasing you! But not to mercilessly kill you, but instead a game you instigated.
A game...how funny is that?
No longer am binded to an execution but game.
How silly.
You smirked at the thought of it, you took off your sun glasses placing it away as you hear the acolytes near by. You hid behind a tree shape shifting into a bird on a branch. Watching them pass by you with determination In their eyes.
Expect one.
Aether.
He spotted you, but he didn't mention it to the others. As they ran into different directions all around Teryet he stayed behind.
You shape shifted back to m/n, "Hello Aether."
He blushed looking at you in shock, " you know my name?" You simply nodded.
"Your the traveller how could I not? So Aether do you wish to be my first spy? "
He nodded almost immediately, " please! I would be honored. "
You hummed, "good, remember not the tell the others. But I have heard alot from you, so you'll be of great use to me." You pull something from your pocket placing it on his hand.
" a gift. " You mumbles as you look at him who's completely awe struck.
" your so much kinder then the imposter! They never did anything like this to me!" He says as you raised an eyebrow in intrigued.
"Is that so?... Tell me more. "
------------------------------------------------------------
Aether set a blanket down for you to sit on as he explained about the imposter. Mostly just venting out his frustrations as you listen in intrigued.
Saying that, they were so cruel and give no rewards always complaining for things to be done. Always in humane and never helped. They were greedy and power hungry. He just kept going and going.
Honestly, thank the gods the imposter was dead because how Aether explains it, you would have killed them yourself.
How dare they use your face to be cruel to the undeserving, how dare they make the weak and poor feel vulnerable.
How dare they disgrace YOUR name.
It disgusted you.
You thank him for the info but he shook his head, " I don't deserve such words I just did as you told. " You just sighed..
" of course, of course. You must return to the others or they might get suspicious of your absence. I'll call you when needed. Also tell your sister and Paimon I said hello. "
He nodded excitedly.
You stood up and nodded at him in approval as disappeared in a dust of gold confetti.
Aether sat there blushing, holding the gift dearly to him , so excited to be the Creator's first spy and vessel.
He couldn't be any more happier.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Days past
Your acolytes were taking this game very seriously.
But you? Oh you were relaxing in a random tavern, drinking a glass. Flirting with some of the women and men in the bar.
If they saw you, they would definitely be jealous.
You laughed at their jokes, as they melt under the touch of your gloved hands.
Of course just when you had the person wrapped around your finger you Venti immediately showed up. You kissed on top of the strangers hand, " sorry to cut it short but I most go. " You immediately dodged his attack, sliding under him and bolted out the door.
" Your Grace come back!" You hear faintly behind you.
Venti was still on you before Xiao came out of nowhere with his weapon.
"your getting faster!" You said as you grabbed onto a railing above you. With your agility, you swing up onto the roof and leaped onto the other building roof.
You stick your tongue out at them teasing them as you fled away.
Xiao sighs, shaking his head as Venti whines , stomping his foot.
-----------------------------------------------------------
You were helping a child down a tree, smiling at them happily playing with them. Gently setting them down, giving them a lollipop.
"Thank you mister!/miss!" The child's says smiling running off to their mother.
You waved bye, before being jumped by lumine and Paimon, immediately dropping to the floor dodging their attack. You immediately kick yourself up , brushing dirt off your coat.
Paimon flying towards you like a missile, but you immediately distracted her with candy.
She immediately took the bait and you shape shifted as a bird and flew away all giddy as lumine and Paimon argued over her taking the candy.
"How can I decline!" Paimon pouted
Lumine groans in defeat, " we were so close! "
It was cute to watch.
-----------------------------------------------------------
You chugged down another glass, laughing loudly in a party your invited to. It was dark and everyone was dancing. Attention on you as you smiled hiding behind a fan, after all you were a rich business man.
After all what's the harm I'm having fun?
You talked to other business partners and people you knew. Hell, you even met up with your assistant and she told you how things are going along. You told her you were busy with external affairs and will make her in charge and raise her salary and holidays off.
She agreed to it, thankful with the benefits she was given. " Thank you sir/ma'am, I can't thank you enough for the generosity you given me. "
" of course, I wouldn't be as successful without your help."
" I'm honored you think so." She smiles.
"go have fun, I have things to do, go enjoy yourself." You said smiling, gesturing her to talk to others.
" of course, thank you sir. " She says leaving, as you leaned against a table.
You pulled out your pocket watch, looking at the time as you step outside. Climbing on top of the roof, starring onto the night sky, looking at the moon.
You heard light footsteps behind you.
You turn around and smile seeing zhongli standing there.
You chuckled, as zhongli has his weapon in hand, he swung it at you, but you catch it. Tossing it aside, wrapping your arm around his waist pulling him close, the other hand on his hand.
"Y-Your Grace?!" He fumbled.
You can tell he's overwhelmed by this, as you hum to the tune played below. Spinning him around in the moonlight, bowing him down. He practically melts to your touch, collapsing on to his knees. You smirked as you gently set him down.
"i-i...uh..."
You blew him a kiss before teleporting away.
He just sat there dumbfounded and flustered.
----------------------------------------------------------
Besides being chased by the most powerful people in genshin. You like wandering around, you didn't need to sleep or eat a lot so it wasn't much of a issue. You liked to explore the world, seeing the shops and stores. Talking with the locals and hanging out with them, everyday was something new. You weren't stuck in some temple being worshipped. Bored out of your mind.
No, you were experiencing Teyvat as a whole. You saw it yourself with your own eyes instead of those of an acolyte.
You are witnessing it first hand the issues and solving them on your own.
Because if you were called as their God , you wouldn't have a chance to do something like this.
It was nice to do everything independently.
You got to do small thoughtless things.
Like giving money to the poor.
Giving sweets and toys to children.
Helping the elderly and unfortunate.
Giving flowers to women and men.
Doing small errands
Going on adventures.
Hanging out with locals.
Getting invited to parties.
The list goes on, and of course with your money, you can spend it luxuriously if needed. As your still running your businesses and going to meetings and such. Just because your traveling doesn't mean you stopped working.
But you know, eventually the acolytes will turn it up a notch and add more people into this game. The question is when. Because so far you had an idea what they are doing due to Aether's spy work.
So they are definitely planning something, but it depends on what.
Time will only tell.

summary : reader hasn't mastered the art of self-care yet and melissa helps.
a/n: been sitting with this for a bit, hoping to post more now that i'm kinda getting my adult life together :) i also could not tell you what happened at the end of this...
Tumblr media
“Good Morning beautiful educators! Are we ready to change some lives?” Janine called, bounding into the teacher’s lounge. All eyes rolled and a collective sigh fell over the room. Despite the less than enthusiastic response, Janine’s smile remained in place as she shoved her lunch in the refrigerator and sat next to Jacob.
“What’s got you so chipper this morning?” Melissa spoke, eyeing the younger woman over the cat-eye reading glasses she had perched on her nose.
“I just woke up well-rested. With the new schedule I’ve created for myself I’ve had loads more time to get things done. I’m worrying less and feeling my best.” Janine proudly spoke, causing the older women in the room to observe her thoughtfully.
“That’s great Janine. You have seemed much more confident and that’s great to see.” Barbara smiled.
“Good for you Kid. That’s often the hardest part of teaching in a school like this. It’s hard to take time for yourself.” Melissa smiles over her reading glasses, leveling the younger woman with a congratulatory nod. Janine beamed at the camera over the older woman's shoulder and turned to Jacob to listen to his spiel for the morning. As everyone went back to their own morning routines, Y/n slumped into the room heading straight for the coffee machine. The cameras followed her as she pulled a mug from her bag and filled it to the brim with the bitter liquid gold. As soon as she added the sugar and creamer she needed she gazed at her watch gauging how much time she had before school officially started. With twenty minutes to spare she trudged over to the couch and sighed as she slouched into the chair pulling out some homework she wasn’t able to finish before bed. With the young woman’s attention focused on her work and coffee, she missed the green eyes that seemed to track her as closely as the camera did. Melissa watched as the fifth grade teacher busied herself with stacks of paper and a book. It didn’t look to be the work of her students, so Melissa’s curiosity peaked. She watched as the younger woman wedged a highlighter between her teeth and flipped through pages of tiny text. Her eyes moved across the screen frantically as if trying to memorize as much of the information as possible in the next 20 minutes. She didn’t realize how long she’d been watching until she felt Barb bump her shoulder subtly. Melissa’s eyes landed on Barbara and was instantly met with a soft smirk lining her friend’s lips.
“Don’t look at me like that.” Melissa grumbled under her breath, peeking back over to the couch to see if the younger woman had relaxed a bit but she seemed to only have tensed more.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Barbara smirked allowing her eyes to fall to the younger woman as well. “It seems someone hasn’t mastered the ‘taking care of yourself’ part of all of this.”
“What’s she working on anyway? It doesn’t look like anything the kids would be working on. I know she’s upstairs but they’d hardly be reading anything that long.” Melissa asked, finally turning back to Barb.
“I’m not sure, but you know she’s still in school so that could definitely be some homework of her own.” Barb shrugged.
“She’s still in school? What do you mean?” Melissa asked.
“She’s getting her masters. Which you’d know if you weren’t always being so standoffish. She does all her classes and coursework after we get off.”
“I am not standoffish,” Melissa huffed indignantly, “I just don’t like new people.”
“Mmhm, I don’t think that’s the case with one though.” Barbara grinned as she watched the red-head’s cheeks heat almost instantly at being called out.
“Oh shut up.” Melissa grumbled as the bell rang for the school day to finally start. She rose from her seat pointedly ignoring Barbara’s chuckle behind her as they made their way to their classrooms.
-
“Alright, who has an answer they’d like to share?” Y/n asked from her place in the front of the classroom. Lunch was still about 10 minutes away but she wanted to at least finish the rest of the worksheet her students had been working on before sending them off. She let her eyes roam over the classroom patiently but as she saw no hands raise she knew she’d need to entice them a bit. “I know it’s hard you guys, but if we finish the last two problems I’ll let you head to lunch earlier.”
She waited to see if anyone would take the bait and it seemed to work when Mariah raised her hand from the middle of the room. “Alright Mariah, what ya got for me?”
“4 over 12.” She spoke timidly.
“Uh Huh, and what’s 4 over 12 simplified?” Y/n prompted with a smile. Mariah seemed to be working through it but seemed a bit overwhelmed so Y/n opened it up to the rest of the class. “Anyone? What number can we divide both 4 and 12 by?”
“2.” Jamal called from the back row.
“Yep, but is there a bigger number we could also use?” Y/n asked with a smile glad the students seemed to be getting closer and closer to the right answer.
“Oh! I know.” Jasmine’s hand shot up from the front.
“Alright Jasmine, what number are you thinking?”
“4.”
“Excellent! That’s exactly right. And if we divide them by 4, 4 over 12 becomes?”
“1 over 3!” Everyone answered.
“Very good everyone. Let’s do the last one together and then we can head off.” Y/n smiled, heading to the white board and grabbing a marker.
Melissa really isn’t sure how she found herself in the fifth grade hall. She’d dropped her kids to recess and somehow she’d found herself peeking through the glass window in the door of Y/n’s classroom. She watched as she patiently guided the students through the fractions. She could tell the students really appreciated the atmosphere she’d created in the classroom. Even when someone wasn’t right, there was nothing but support flowing through the space and Melissa had no choice but to admire the work she’d done to capture that. Realizing if anyone saw her up there she’d have no explanation for her behavior, she quickly turned on her heels to head back toward her classroom with the hopes of not being caught. In her descent of the stairs, she missed the camera man down the hall collecting footage.
-
Melissa hurried into the teacher’s lounge hoping to grab a snack before she needed to pick her students up from their art class. She pushed forcefully on the door and headed for the vending machine, letting the door swing behind her with little care. As the door clanged against the doorframe she heard the startled gasp within the room. She turned quickly with her fist up and ready to attack whoever was in the room. She only relaxed when she saw Y/n sat on the couch with her hand over her chest and wide eyes. There was a book in her lap and highlighter poking out of her hair. Melissa figured she was doing homework again but as she looked closer, she could see the grooved pattern of the couch fabric on the younger woman’s cheek.
“Oh Melissa,” The younger woman sighed as she leaned back into the couch as she started to calm down.
“Sorry Hon. Did I wake ya?” Melissa said, coming to lean on the back of the chair that was closest to the couch.
“It's probably for the best. That was a complete accident.” Y/n shook her head a bit and pushed her hands down her face in an effort to liven up a bit.
“Must not be too interesting, if it’s putting you to sleep.” Melissa commented, nodding her head toward the book still in Y/n’s lap.
“Unfortunately it is not. It doesn’t exactly help that I’m already sleep deprived. A recipe for a great nap.” Y/n chuckled lightly before turning her eyes to her watch. “Looks like it’s time for me to pick my kids up.” As Y/n gathered her things, Melissa watched and hummed in agreement. Once Y/n was done and her eyes met Melissa’s the older woman could see the exhaustion setting back in place. “See you around Melissa.”
Y/n moved to walk past Melissa to the door, but Melissa hand wrapped around her forearm keeping her in front of her. “Hey, make sure you get some rest hon. We can’t have you collapsing on us like Janine.” Melissa squeezed her arm in emphasis and released her arm when she saw the younger woman nod in understanding.
-
From then Melissa found herself checking in with Y/n more often. She’d shed her ‘standoffish’ behavior and had become one of the teachers Y/n talked to the most. She never spent a lot of time with anyone on the elementary level teaching staff besides Barb, but now she seemed to be running into Melissa more and more. She’d be in the teacher lounge poured over a textbook or a stack of spelling tests and Melissa would appear with a hot mug of coffee. She’d gradually started bringing the younger woman lunch everyday of the week. It had started on a day about two weeks after Y/n had been caught napping on the couch. The fifth grade teacher had waltzed into the room carrying her laptop and textbook and that seemed to be it. It only took Melissa about 5 seconds of seeing her work on homework before she cleared her throat with a raised eyebrow. She, Y/n, and Barb were the only ones in the lounge so far so Y/n was quick to turn her attention to the older women’s table.
“Oh hi.” Y/n said, meeting Melissa’s eyes. Assuming the redhead was upset she hadn’t greeted them when she arrived, she looked back at her work.
“Hello but that’s not what I wanted. Where is your lunch?” Melissa asked, eyeing the younger woman intently.
“Oh I forgot it. I’m just gonna grab a snack after work to tide me over through class tonight.” Y/n shrugged, lifting the textbook from her lap.
“You mean after school?” Barb cut in looking at the younger woman skeptically.
“Mmhmm. No need to worry, I’ve done it loads of times before. I forget my lunch a lot more than I care to admit.”
“Oh sweetheart, well that’s not healthy.” Barb said, shaking her head disapprovingly.
“I know, I know. I try not to but I think I’ve done it so often that I hardly notice anyway.”
“Well that’s not happening anymore, get over here.” Melissa said, pulling out the chair next to her. Y/n looked at the older woman in confusion, not fully understanding what was happening. She didn’t move but watched as the older woman pulled a fork from one of the drawers and wedged it into the tupperware dish she’d been eating. When her eyes landed on Y/n’s face she looked at her expectantly. When the older woman didn’t say anything, Y/n grabbed her books and moved over to the older women’s table and sat in the seat obediently. With Y/n situated, Melissa slid the food in front of her and patted Y/n’s back, “Now eat.”
Y/n went to protest but before she could even speak there was a fork-full of pasta in her mouth. Her eyes widened in shock initially but melted shut when the food hit her taste buds. “Oh this is so good.” At the praise Melissa smirked and went back to scrolling on her phone as Barbara laughed with a smile. From then on Melissa made it a point to pack a bit more food for lunch. And if Barbara asked about it she simply shrugged citing her large portion sized cooking as the reason. As Y/n and Melissa became closer, it seemed easier for the younger woman to take care of herself. With someone checking on her as often as Melissa had taken to, it became second nature.
One day after a particularly demanding week of homework and tests, Melissa found Y/n sprawled out on the teachers lounge’s couch once again. It was a very similar scene to the first time but unlike last time, when the door closed Y/n didn’t start awake. If anything, she burrowed further into the couch and threw her arm over her eyes. Melissa paused briefly watching the younger woman sleep and sighed. She only looked at Y/n for a few more seconds before making her mind up. She sat her things at her table and pulled her jacket off of her arms. She walked over draping it across the younger teacher and then made her way to her table. She positioned her chair toward the door and watched the door. It wasn’t long before the door swung open revealing Janine ready to talk about God knows what, but as soon as her eyes met Melissa’s she closed her mouth. The older woman sent a menacing glare her way before placing her finger up to her lips. Janine, though confused, tip-toed further into the room and took a seat at one of the other tables in the room. By the time everyone was in the room, Melissa had quietly declared that the teacher’s lounge was experiencing a quiet lunch and with her reputation no one questioned her.
The bell rang signaling the end of lunch and that seemed to be the only thing to rouse Y/n from her sleep. By this point everyone had made their way to their own classrooms and the only two people remaining were Melissa and Y/n. The younger woman groaned as she opened one of her eyes to scan the room. She paused briefly as her senses were overwhelmed with a very familiar fragrance. She looked down seeing the familiar leather jacket draped over her shoulders and felt her cheeks heat at being caught asleep again. Before she could say anything Melissa spoke leaning against the back of the chair next to the couch.
“Good morning hon,” She spoke, leveling Y/n with a soft look of concern. “I thought we talked about you taking care of yourself?”
“We did, I’ve just been cranking out a lot of papers this week. Had an extra late night last night trying to finish one before the weekend.” Y/n explained placing her feet on the floor and facing the older woman.
“Well when is it due?” Melissa asked moving to sit on the arm of the chair.
“Not until Sunday night, but I use my weekends to plan for the week here and catch up on grading.” Y/n explained.
“And when do you take time for yourself?” Melissa prompted.
“When I sleep it’s just me and my dreams. So I count those few hours every night as self-care.”
“Haha, very funny hon. You know that actually does not count right? You just slept through lunch. I think we need to think of some new ways to make sure you’re getting things done. Ways don’t include skipping meals and hours of sleep.”
“I slept through lunch? I slept through Janine’s latest life update and Jacob’s flailing? I really must be tired.” Y/n said, shaking her head before moving to rise from the couch. “And I gotta go get my kids for recess.”
“Don’t worry about that right now. I told Jacob to take them with his kids. And as much as I agree that you are extremely tired, the teacher’s lounge was having a silent lunch today. But I don’t think we can do that every day so we’re gonna have to figure something else out.”
“Jacob is taking my kids to recess?” Y/n asked, looking at the redhead in disbelief. Before Melissa could confirm, Y/n seemed to pick up on something else she said. “Wait, did you just say silent lunch?”
Melissa shook her head in amusement at the fifth grade teacher, “Yes to both. And before you ask how? Think about who you’re talking to.”
Y/n nodded with red cheeks realizing the redhead had done quite a bit for her during her slumber. “Thanks.” She finally mustered up the courage to say.
“You’re welcome, I’m glad to help. But I’d be even happier if you’d meet me halfway with this.”
Y/n nodded in understanding, “I’m sorry, I’ve always just been like this and I overestimate how much I can actually handle. I didn’t realize anyone would care so much.”
“Well I do. Listen, how about we find sometime to get you set up with a healthier schedule? I’ll even  make you dinner and everything.” Melissa suggested hopefully. “I’d really like that. I have to be honest,  I didn’t take you for the mentor type of the group.” Y/n said with a shrug unconsciously pulling the older woman’s leather jacket closer to her chest.
“Oh I’m not. That’s definitely more of a Barb thing, but I have my moments. And my reasons.” Melissa smiled softly at Y/n.
“Well I appreciate it and I won’t take your help for granted.”
“Good girl. Now come on, recess is almost over.”
Y/n’s cheeks heated at the older woman’s words before she nodded and stood to walk out of the door with the woman. Melissa collected her things from the table and grabbed a tupperware container from the fridge and met Y/n at the door. She pushed the food into her hands as she’d been doing for the last couple of weeks and moved to head out of the door. Just as they were about to cross the threshold of the breakroom she extended the jacket toward the woman. “Oh, probably need this back. Thanks.”
“No problem hon, don’t leave before seeing me. We can find a night sometime soon. Alright?”
“Yes ma’am.” Y/n saluted before both women parted ways.
-
“Knock knock. You ready to go?” Barb asked as she leaned against the door frame of Melissa’s classroom.
“You can go on without me, I’m waiting on Y/n. We’ve gotta figure out when she’s free.” Melissa said casually turning in her desk chair to face her best friend.
“You finally ask her out?” Barb asked with a smirk causing Melissa’s cheeks to heat.
“What? No? What are you talking about? I’m just gonna help her figure out how to take care of herself a bit better.” Melissa sputtered.
“Right because you’re so good at that yourself.” Barb rolled her eyes.
“Hey! I’m pretty good. And you do the same thing with Janine.” Melissa defended.
“Yes, but I don’t want to take Janine to bed. We are not the same Melissa.”
“Oh would you get out of here before she hears you!”
“You didn’t deny it!” Barbara grinned.
“Bye Barb.” Melissa groaned. Barbara smiled in victory before sending a wink over to her friend and leaving the building.
