Because Surge's age is unknown and age in Sonic doesn't exist anymore, I want to believe Surge is 18 years old, just like Wave.
(I know age coded is still a thing, but Surge ain't a kid).

Every sonic rival x amy ship comes with the notion that Amy’s kind nature would bring out the best in the other person and I mostly agree with this ship dynamic. Metamy, Shadamy, Surgamy…
Except for Jet. Jet would absolutely bring out the worst in Amy. Life’s not fair, so why play by the rules? Cheat the system, slam into your opponents, steal a few clothing articles, who cares? Her combative spirit, her determination, her obsessive behavior, all of it dialed up to 11 when trash-talking him before a race. She would become the #1 female extreme gear rider just to piss him off. They’d be an Extreme Gear power couple (and poster children for toxic relationships).
