Saw this on tiktok, who wouldn’t want to spend 30 minutes washing your new tesla truck every time it’s gets mildly dirty because the panels aren’t clearcoated?
For additional context, here’s the part of the owners manual in question

what are your favourite versions of Zelda Link and Ganon? all of them can be from different games/not related (+impa too of you want?)
Very good question! There's a ton of Zeldas I like; textually, it would have to either be Spirit Tracks or BotW Zelda --but conceptually I have a huge soft spot for OoT Zelda, who goes through so much, changes a lot, grows in ways that are so complicated and messy and self-questioning (her becoming Sheik, her relationship to her hylian duties VS her connexion to the sheikah VS her warped sense of responsabilities and the ripples of pain this ends up causing over and over across the board...)
The same could be said of Link. I really like both TP Link and WW Link I think, he's perhaps at his most empathetic and bravest in these titles; but OoT Link is such a mess and a half that I can't help but think about him and his very ambiguous fate post MM, as it's one of the only versions of Link that we see breaking down, which grants him a strange humanity he is very rarely afforded, even if only subtextually.
As far as Ganon goes, nobody would be surprised by my answer being WW Ganon, which is just staggeringly well written and compelling, granting him enough humanity to make him shine, but not so much that is drowns off his odious, self-serving crimes. To me, Nintendo never understood what makes this character better than here. But! Same as the two others: Ganondorf being one dude for most of the series' run, I love that Ganondorf package as a whole, and the way he evolves depending on whether he loses enough to develop a semblance of self-reflection in WW, or loses so much that he stops being a person altogether in TP (the actual writing in TP is a little flimsy, but as a more global character arc, ooooof oof ouchie ouchie)
And Impa.... Textually, from what I've seen, I really love her Skyward Sword incarnation, which also has the best design in my opinion. Buuuut, once again, conceptually, the OoT one just fascinates me to no ends. The understated influence that lady holds over the key player of this version of Hyrule, the way she preserved her culture through Zelda despite it being on death's door (??? why???), and also what the hell who are you woman, what do you know about that realm that you are not telling anyone, how are you at once a maternal protector that developed a fusional relationship to the princess of Light and Goodness... while also being the warden of everything dead and horrifying and rotten this kingdom refuses to acknowledge???? This is so good!!! There are so many things to be done with this contrast!!!!

IMO the thing about Hoder is that her thoughts, feelings, motivations, and actions are left somewhat ambigious by the game, both due to how little screentime she gets and the open-ended nature of Kingdom Hearts' storytelling. Because of this, there are multiple ways that you could interpret her character, and I would argue that, for the most part, these various interpretations are all equally valid within the framework of what the game gives us (because after all, it's not like the game gives us a lot to work with in the first place.)
Is her professed belief in the inherent light of people's hearts a genuine representation of her thoughts, or something she said to ease the concerns of her bickering classmates, knowing full well that her declaration was overly-optimistic? When she snuck off to confront Maleficent by herself, did she have battle on the mind, or was she just planning to negotiate with her? Who instigated the fight, a righteous Hoder or an enraged Maleficent? When she tried to inform her friends that Baldr needed help as she died, was she aware that he had been possessed by darkness, or was it unclear to her what exactly was wrong with him? When she asked Xehanort to house her heart in his and transport her to Baldr, was it truly because she was worried about her brother, or because she felt it was her responsibility as his sister to put an end to his chaos? When she offered Baldr an olive branch upon reuniting with him at the end of the game, was she hoping that her kind words would convince him to stand down, or was it all just a ruse to get close enough to kill him? Who decided to turn on the other first? Or did they turn on each other simultaneously, both equally driven by distrust and paranoia? Heck, what was her sibling relationship to Baldr even like? Because the game certainly doesn't show it to us in any greater detail. And considering all the parallels the game draws between her and Eraqus, just how much of her personality and ideals can we glean from Eraqus'?
Personally, I love flawed and messy characters, especially if they're women. Extra especially if they're technically on the side of good. So while I do try to strike a balance with how I interpret her, I can't deny that I have a fondness for some of the darker possibilities, pun not intended.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but I don’t think that there’s that significant of a secret behind the mural man. LIke? Apparently the political figures of Vinyl City are determined not by public voting (alone) or running for candidacy, but through the Lights Up competition for a combination of 1) completing the arena, 2) ‘lighting up’ the stage as the competition implies, and 3) passing the final vote from the NSRtists and the Head. If there was only 5 musicians and a head with NO vacancies, why would any of the Charters vote ‘yes’ to the contestant/s if there’s a risk in getting replaced?
I would think that the mural man filled in that 6th artist slot present even on DJ Subatomic Supernova’s satellite, and I suppose the mystery then would be if their absence was either through retiring, quitting or simply the end of their term as a Charter. Like, instead of an election season or whatever, Vinyl City holds Lights Up Auditions during a set period during that 6th Charter’s crossover or something; on the satellite again, it’s not as if we see the mural man’s name in 6th (we see Bunk Bed Junction’s), maybe they’re already gone or are archiving stuff from their district. Does Tatiana temporarily hold ‘charter’ to the district? Does she hold the platinum disc until a new position is filled? Is Festival Plaza that district that once had mural man as a Charter? Do you think with the Rock Revolution and the subsequent approval of indie bands that the position was left empty or even completely abolished?
idk, lmao-
