Only just recently discovered Twisted Wonderland this week, speedread counting sheep and I have got a question. What’s Yuu (ewe)’s relationship with the Leech twins like? Ngl I think she and Floyd would be buddies. But like I said, my idea of their personalities is vague at best lol.

anyways lmaooo, I think answered this way back, but like Floyd is drawn to Yuu (ewe) in the same way he's drawn to Riddle, except it goes a step further because unlike Riddle, Yuu doesn't exactly find him annoying and would actually humor him. Or something like that.
She doesn't mind the nickname he gives her, though she is pretty confused on what to think of him since he's actually enamored with her and she just can't process the idea of someone liking her so fast. (don't tell Malleus)
He is most certainly part of the flock. :V
As for Jade, I also think I did one for him, but similar to Floyd, he is drawn to her, but he's more or less figuring out if he wants to invest in these feelings of his, while Yuu listens intently whenever he goes on about mushrooms since she likes mushrooms (well, eating them, but she likes looking at some pretty cool mushrooms too).
That being said, if one of the twins is involved, then the other is involved by default. And Azul is also involved in this mess, too, sooo...oop. :V

So, um, just so I’ve got it all straight in my head (and tbh family genealogy is confusing af and I’m easily confused), bamf grandma married into the Yan (not sure if grandpa Yan is dead or not but I’m assuming he’s still alive) and that would make yrx’s mom a Yan by blood (maybe half Lan? Idk? Unless yrx is wrong and he’s just a family friend?) so yrx’s dad married into the Yan clan? I mean, I think I originally (and wrongfully) assumed yrx’s dad was a Yan and yrx’s mom married into the clan.
And this makes me realize that all I know about yrx’s paternal relatives is that his dad has (maybe) seven? (brain says seven?) siblings, most of which are boys? And that he used to be a soldier?

actually, you got it right the first time! it was yrz’s mom who married into the Yan.
Laolao isn’t married at all. Laolao is completely aromantic. she liked sex well enough, but she never really wanted a husband/wife. she wanted kids so she had a friend knock her up and started building up her way out of the brothel. laolao is one of those people who never regrets anything she does. she is, in Lan Qingtian’s words, ‘a formidable woman’.
it’s yrz’s mom who married into the Yan. Yrz’s mom grew up in the brothel, though she never had any interest in the work. she was more interested in cultivation as a kid, and worked through the books laolao had to reach pretty high-level cultivation all by herself.
yrz’s dad met his mom in the Chinese equivalent of the red light district (he was lost) and it was love at first sight -- for him anyway. Yan-mama took a bit more convincing (in a non-creepy way) to get on board. eventually, they were married and had all their many children and the rest was history ^-^
Yrz’s dad has three elder brothers and three younger brothers. their parents passed when they were pretty young, yrz’s grandfather from war, and his nainai from complications in childbirth (she wasn’t a cultivator/yan). the rest of the ‘uncle army’ as yrz refers to them in his head, were overjoyed to have a maternal grandmother of some kind when yrz mom and dad got married, so they never cared about Laolao being a former prostitute.
all the yan uncles are married and have multiple children, and all of them are older than yrz. he’s the ultimate baby of his family generation.

*raises head towards the heavens* I don’t know why I like this trash butterfly but I am LIVING for this AU! Seriously, I love the reasoning behind Aizen being instantly ‘mine’ because of loneliness, which is relatable but also funny because Ichi don’t give a shit if you’re the fecking Soul King or not. With her/him respect is EARNED, not given.
On a side note, I’m mentally rubbing my hands together and cackling with glee as I imagine Aizen’s reaction to finding out about Isshin. Btw, so this is like pre-Turn Back the Pendulum? Also, what do you think of GinIchi or do you ship Gin with Matsumoto? Urghh now I’m imagining chibi Gon Matsumoto meeting chibi Ichigo and infants Yuzu and Karin and being like ‘welp, guess we’re family now’ actually that sounds kinda weird now that I’ve said it out loud~~~
Aizen’s bullshit started cause someone didn’t put enough enrichment toys in his playpen so of course he’d latch onto Ichigo out of loneliness and that desperate desire to be seen and known. Please don’t send me justifications for Aizen’s bullshit I’m well aware and it wasn’t very gucci of him overall just let it lie and let me rest
Meanwhile Ichigo is like “get a personality Asshole-Taichou and then maybe come talk to me again”
And AIzen is so here for that it’s ridiculous.
And yeah the time line is wonky and I’ll have to do some shifting but just assume this entire AU starts before Aizen finally gives in and puts any of his bullshit from canon into play.
Don’t really ship much of Gin and anything but I do like him well enough. Good motive, poor execution. Though I could easily see Ichigo adopting both of Gin and Matsumoto because fuck it what’s 2 more to add to the mix.

I dunno how to ask this without making it sound like I’m asking for spoilers, which I’m enjoying the anticipation of learning as the story rolls on, so I’m just gonna sat it straight out, are we going to get scenes with baby Xi? I mean, I recently saw a series of pictures where baby wwx and lwz meet and so my imagination went wild with thinking maybe yrx met in a chance meeting with lwz or wwx at a much younger age but he just doesn’t remember it. But yeah, that probably is a bit too... out there? Mostly, I was enthralled by baby yrx admiring his mom’s erhu playing and cooing over how cute baby Xi must have been. Ugh sorry this got way too long. I guess what I’m really trying to ask if you had anything in mind to do with baby Xi?
probably not in the main story. it’s yrz pov and he already knows what he was like as a kid (and doesn’t like to think about it). we might get hints here and there, but nothing really concrete.
for the side stories though... i already had one planned from Da-ge yan’s pov.
if you want cute bby xi... well. yrz was not a cute child. yrz was a hell child. a traumatized hell child who was mourning the loss of literally everything he knew and loved. he threw the worst temper tantrums, screaming, crying, breaking shit (these people are not my family, where the fuck am I??? i want to go home!) when he wasn’t basically comatose. he refused to even speak for years. honestly, the only reason his family let him stay in gusu is that he really really improved once he got there.
he scared the hell out of everyone, and his brothers still tend to treat him like glass even when they’re teasing him.

OG!Luo Binghe getting a reality check and stealth-marrying Yan Ruizhi is my jam and I’m sorry that I haven’t been screaming about it from a rooftop before now. Honestly, I just picture yrx being just as oblivious to the fact they’re pretty much married for CENTURIES while lbh is thrilled with his life now as a househusband amid the various revenge plots and bs caused by lbh’s protagonist halo. Sqq and Bingmei meeting Bingge and Ruizhi, realizing that Bingge is the original goods is bound to be hilarious.
lbh latching on like a clingy octopus is an incredibly hilarious mental image. after a few centuries pass, yrz is like...... at least the food is good. their little house is probably the safest place in the world because by this point yrz did his thing and became super overpowered and learned all sorts of wards because he got sick of the bullshit lbh tracked in after him every damn day. not even the plot can get at lbh there, tbh.
lbh is living his dream, taking care of the various animals they’ve acquired from somewhere, cooking for his wife (his wife!!!! his!!!! wife!!!!!!!), going on various trips with yrz for spice, just living out all his domestic dreams.
then one day, the sky cracks open and bing mei and sqq fall out of it, right onto binge's prize-winning cabbage-patch kids*.
yrz:.... why are there two lbhs.

Sooo... another weird question cuz I’m weird. I know the Yans aren’t that big of a sect but like, do they have colors that they all wear like the big sects do? Do they have a motto like the Jiang’s ‘attempt the impossible?’ Do the Yans count as a sect or are they too small? Just realizing how much I don’t know lol. And sorry about all the message spam lately. I’ve been trying to restrain myself but it hasn’t been working...
nah, no clan colors or anything formal. they do have a crest/seal but that’s just normal for families as extensive as they are (don’t ask me what the seal looks like i have no idea yet). no mottos either!
the yan aren’t a sect because they’re not something you can just join. either you’re born in or you marry in. or you get randomly adopted in, that happens a lot for some reason. a yan sees a stray orphan and go ‘is anybody raising that?’ then not even wait for an answer. they’re more like a clan. and yrz would be considered part of the ‘main branch’ even though that's not really a thing with them. his da-ge is in charge of the home village where the yan main base is, basically.

Yan Xi has eaten my brain, cuz I saw that sampler meme post and saw that WangXian time travel post and thought ‘what if canon WangXian time traveled or thought they time traveled and instead entered a universe where Yan Xi exists and poor Xi is just so confused and sad that Wangji is avoiding him all of the sudden for some reason and damnit I made this angsty I was trying to go for funny.’ Anyway, still curious to what that WangXian idea is about?
okay, so it was less time travel than it was an au with time travel elements. this is one of my rare ideas where there’s no oc involved at all -- just pure wangxian.
wwx dies in cannon and ends up in a world where Cangse Sanren never came down from the mountain and therefore wwwx never existed. His dad is still in the jiang sect. madame yu and Jiang Fengmian separated a long, long time ago because without anyone to point her rage at she just got toxicity all over her family. Fengmian still didn't love her at all. Yanli never got married here.
Wwx is absolutely some sort of ghost-human thing. He’s not really dead but he's not exactly alive either.
the problem with this universe: no wwx means no tiger seal. no tiger seal means the sunshot campaign is still going on -- and the wen are winning.
anyway, the appeal for me was younger lwj/post sunshot yiling patriarch wwx.

The fact that Lan Wangji doesn't die is something of a miracle. He is bleeding profusely from a wound in his stomach, getting Lan blood all over his white robes. Uncle would be so upset at the mess, Lan Wangji thought. His eyes were glassy and his face felt hot. The rest of him felt very cold indeed.
He couldn't stop. The shouting the Wen hunting party on his heels spurred him onwards, though every step shifted something inside him that set off sparks of white pain.
Lan Wangji ran for countless hours, his body growing heavy even as his head grew lighter. He knew that this was the place where he died.
There was a town up ahead.
Lan Wangji hesitated. The civilians were innocent in this war, and treating him might bring the wrath of Qishan down on them. He was so tired, though.
He turned left.
And that was where everything changed.
He didn't see the man until he ran into him. The black robes filled his face and he bounced back -- a hand caught him by the collar of his robes before he hit the ground. It was good because he wasn't sure he could get up if he fell.
It was bad because Lan Wangji was being held up by the collar of some unknown man. He looked with blurry eyes up at the man. A cultivator clearly, but Lan Wangji was too tired to make out his face in the dark. There was the impression of wild hair, a smiling mouth, and a ribbon the color of blood.
Lan Wangji caught the curve of a smile in the dying light, and something about struck him over the head like the pommel of the sword.
Ah... beautiful, he thought before he succumbed into darkness.

Lan Wangji woke up the next morning with a full-body ache. Only long practice prevented him from curling in on himself and cursing the world that made him into something like this. Five years of endless war accustomed Lan Wangji to pain, but it never stopped being surprising.
He didn't know where he was.
Lan Wangji sat up, which brought a fresh wave of agony he had to sit and breathe through. His stomach throbbed. He glanced down at himself and realized that he was missing his overrobes.
Someone undressed him.
Lan Wangji's skin crawled. He didn't even notice.
He glanced around the room, and only then did he notice the man watching him. He tensed -- but the man just sat there with a jar of sake in his hands.
It was the same man from last night. His dark hair was still tied up with the same red ribbon -- like he hadn't slept at all. Perhaps he hadn’t. There was only one bed in the room.
Lan Wangji pushed down the tiny surge of guilt at that.
The man continued to say nothing. Lan Wangji took the time to observe him while he himself was being observed.

What matters is that Wei Wuxian is safe, and Lan Zhan doesn't hate him. Wei Wuxian's disgusting existence is forgiven for once in his life.

Something so simple and so out of his reach. Jiang FengMian always said to attempt the impossible, but Wei Wuxian knows -- there are limits and then there are limits.
Something priceless as forgiveness for something like him?

Would lwz ask lxc for courting help? Or would he try and figure out ideas for courting yrx by himself? Lwz’s POV reminded me of the fact that yrx told him that he would want to court at twenty, which reminds me of the fact yrx told him that he knows he’s crushing hard on wwx. Tbh I imagine lwz is happy that he has a chance with yrx but freaking out cuz yrx knows he likes wwx.

And Xi in his cave, known to be deadly to even other gods, just makes me think he unintentionally make himself into Rapunzel 1/2

yeah yrz is kind of a myth among even the gods, most of them don’t meet him face to face. he’s like a cryptid lol. there’s a new generation of gods about 800 years old of which the mc of the hob is one and yrz has been in seclusion for 900 years. so the first scene i wrote is likely the first time any of the new gods have ever seen him from up close. no one knows how he lives or what his library is like -- i mean, he’d let them borrow the books if hey asked, but no one ever asks! (ignoring the fact that his mountain is almost impossible to traverse for anyone but him, which is something he rarely thinks about lol). he doesn’t even keep living servants, because he prefers to use constructs to keep things clean, and he still cooks food for himself.
Accidental legend yrz is such a great thought, i keep getting giggle fits at random times during the day.

Erhu Name: 妒忌盲 - Dujimang - to envy the blind (or ‘to envy the shortsighted’, to go along with the farsighted 智 zhi in his name)
妒忌 - dùjì - to be jealous of (sb's achievements etc) / to be envious / envy
盲 - máng, wàng - blind; unperceptive, shortsighted
(because knowing the future isn’t, ya know, great most of the time!)
Guqin name: 留恋 - liúliàn - reluctant to leave / to hate to have to go / to recall fondly - referring to his reluctance to leave gusu! It’s sappy as hell! I love it!

(headdesk slam) Yes, that was 2/2 percent didn’t even realize I forgot to add it in the message until after I sent it and spent like 5 mins internally screaming at myself. I’m a mess of a human being tbh. Really? I’m surprised because it feels like Xi fits perfectly in this AU. Xi as accidental cryptid is the best thing, in both worlds. That’s a relief to hear. My anxiety and I don’t get along so I tend to go to worst possible scenario. You’ll probably regret that soon enough. 1/2
I’m like a magpie if something catches my interest and I’ll fuss over it and go all crazy. Especially now, seeing that you did that hob oneshot and mdzs that is two of the main three bl web novels that I now of. Like, of the three I’ve only fully read svsss and my mind immediately went to wonder where Xi would fit in that verse and at this point he’d totally be where the biggest amount of knowledge is and that my mind went ‘what if Xi was head disciple of Qing Jing Peak?’ 2/?
But that’s pretty unlikely given Xi’s desperate avoidance of feelings, plot, and responsibility. Though I could totally see him as a reluctant head disciple and desperately trying to avoid plot. Plus, definitely the first to notice that something would be off with this new Qingqiu. That said, bullying in his peak would not fly with him so I could see Binghe crushing on this unknown elder disciple.
3/3 I’m sorry I don’t want to make it seem like I want to push you to write another AU when you’ve got enough on your hands. My mind just just went ‘ooh what if this happened?’ And I wanted to share my thoughts with you because I think it’s interesting. So yeah, again feel free to ignore this. I’m like that guy from the meme with the pictures on the wall and red thread when my brain goes nuts lol.

okay there are a million different ways this question could go, because like. is yrz female in this universe? is he male? is he older than the main characters? is he younger? which sect is he living near? is his family nice or assholes? which version of the story is he in? the sssvs version or the actual original demon path novel (or whatever it’s been a while since i read the novel)??? does yrz get a system???
because the answers to those questions change the story drastically
okay so lets do two versions
one: it’s sssvs. yrz has a ‘background character system’ or something. he’s gotta have a system otherwise he wouldn't get without a thousand li of cang qiang sect. so this systems chooses him (lets say he’s a guy in this universe) because its low key and yrz is low key and it was like hey lets be low key together!

lol.
but the system and yrz get along pretty well, and they get into the peak they want -- which is Wan Jian peak, because if yrz can’t join the library peak because of Plot reasons, he’s going with hsi second love. Swords! plus i don’t think there are literally any named characters from the story, except the peak lord.
so. timeline wise, i think that none of the peak-lords have ascended yet, so yrz does his natural thing --- he over performs and becomes the head disciple for wan jian peak as consequence and it’s literally just in time for the former peak lords to ascend, so yrz is like. stuck. as a peak lord.
both the system and yrz are horrified and confused as to how this happened. or, no, by then the system understands the Mistake it made in choosing yrz. on paper yrz is very unassuming! but in reality yrz has no chill. he’s never even heard of the concept of chill. he does everything at 110%.
I think that the bulk of this story takes place waaaay before the sssvs cannon, and lbh is sir not appearing in this fic. instead its -- liu qingge! and mu qingfang! both??? both is good! i think he meets lqg first, when he challenges yrz to a spar in the middle of a high stakes missing because lqg is a meathead jock at that age, and yrz is like. no? do your job? dumbass. (yrz has no idea who this shouty brat is, because the system is taking a nap. it wakes up and kicks itself for leaving yrz alone to do stuff.) yrz is older than lqg and kicks his ass because... well. because it’s hilarious really. so he gains a lqg shaped stalker.
yrz has a lot of interest in both sparring and healing, and with lqg following him around, yrz spends a lot of time at the healing peak and meets mqf there. mqf gets a huge crush almost immediately but never said anything. it’s not surprising that yrz quickly bonds with these totally cool new disciples -- and then learns that both of the are the succeeding disciples for their peaks. oops.

no system this time around and yrz stays far far away from the cang qiong. he joins a small sect to learn than fucks off to have adventures by himself as a rouge cultivator. so, male version again BUT yrz gets cursed or something and gets the ability to change gender at will because that’s funny and useful. also you know. porn world written by a “straight” guy. there are reasons for that kind of curse imma just gloss over.
then the plot happens. all of immortal demon path’s many, many chapters are playing around in the background of yrz’s life, but she manages to stay out of it -- until one night yrz gets accidentally recruited by a cult dedicated to bringing down the evil demon lord lbh, because this cult has a book yrz is after. she ends up being used as bait for lbh (because he eats virgins now according to rumors. he’s up to wife number 249 by now so it’s not wrong !)
yrz gets ‘saved’ by lbh, who’s kind of smirking and going ‘oh, no need to thank me, it was what anyone would have done,’ while totally expecting sex. yrz is like ‘oh, cool. bye then.’ and just. takes the book and leaves.
lbh: *surprised pikachu face*
and by the time he registers no sex is going to be happening, yrz is long gone and enjoying her brand new book.
after that, lbh and yrz end up seeing each other (mostly because lbh is trying to impress this woman and nothing is working) and yrz is like stop being a creep, i’m not interested in you. lbh needs to drink his respect woman juice and downsize on his harem a bit. yrz wouldn’t touch that with a twenty foot pool.
anyway i think it comes to a head when they both get doused in pa pa pa juice and lbh is like oh this is more familiar, shall we? and yrz is like bitch. and goes to a brothel in the city instead. at this point yrz and lbh are more like antagonistic buddies than anything else. lbh has too many wives and zero friends.
lbh starts developing some squishy feelings and is like what the fuck is this?? gross?? but he says nothing because he doesn’t get it.
then the cross over happens, bing-ge vs bing-mei!!! and after than happens, yrz is just chilling at home and lbh shows up at her place like really fucked up and subdued. he’s like ‘why him? why did he get the good teacher? what did he do right?’
yrz is like... hm. emotions. ew. she trys anyway because she’s finally ready to admit that she does like this trash goblin at least a little. so she takes care of him while he’s being depressed. lbh cooks for her and she’s like. this is so fucking good. thank you.
and lbh is just in love now. it’s nothing like he feels for his wives, but yrz makes lbh feels safe and accepted. it’s a comforting and comfortable love. yrz’s stupid little house is more of a home than lbh’s stupid palaces.
look. i stand by the head cannon that all lbh wants is to be a househusband, no matter what version im talking about.
lbh vanishes for a whole night. yrz is like hm, my house feels empty now. weird! and then lbh comes back and announces that he just divorced all his wives. he doesn’t want to be powerful anymore so can i stay herer with you.
yrz is like... sure.
and then there’s a long, long courtship and lbh marries yrz and archives his dream of just being fucking happy. the end!

In that hanahaki AU, would it be less lethal for cultivators but severely slows down their cultivation? Or would hanahaki take much longer to take root and grow for cultivators?
nope! i specified a non-lethal hanahaki au because i don’t like the coercive nature of a disease that’s like: love me or i will literally die. it makes for good angst, but... yrz is allergic to angst. he’d probably just fucking die, ya know?
so yrz develops an annoying cough but that’s it! it’s chronic, but not fatal in any way shape or form.
