You are a servant of some god during the Archon War.
He enslaved you and your people, saying that humans are too simple to rule themselves.

You scratched the dirty floor, trying to achieve perfection as your god demanded it. It didn't matter that your knees hurt as skin gave up and broke. It didn't matter that your fingernails were almost completely destroyed. It didn't matter that your spine was giving up.
This task was the simplest one your pathetic self could do. That's the only thing you could do. Thing that you were made to do.
At least it was what your "Master" said.
Your village laid in the mountains, growing into a small city over the years, slowly connecting with other small villages. It was peaceful, your biggest enemies being some rowdy slimes and a geovishap from time to time. But that changed when your "Master" marched in the town and claimed all that he saw. He was the one who told you that as humans, you are simple, made to serve. He killed anyone who disagreed, showcasing how weak you are.
Now, you almost believed him.
Yet, as years of breaking your back and thinking of not being worthy of doing anything else but serving your master, one moment in your life caused it to change completely.

You only watched as guards dragged someone, following Master and his toy - Alatus. You wondered who angered your Master this time and yet, as you uncharacteristically looked away from your work on the victim, you couldnt recognise even a bit of human in him. That meant one thing - your Master defeated a new enemy.
His beaten body was a mix of somewhat human and a dragon. He had a long tail with some missing scales and fluffy end was drenched in mud. His clothes that once could be white were mostly covered in blood and dirt. His back was bare of clothing, and you could see whip marks along it, scales on it missing as well. His hair was all over the place, tangled and greasy. And on top of his head you saw two orange horns, that dully glowed.
If it was your old self, you would say that this man was beautiful. But as you learned in the hard way - god's were cruel beings and their beauty was nothing but a mask put over a monster inside.
Your second encounter with him was when you were tasked with cleaning steps leading to the throne. Your Master often ordered servants to clean while he was there, so he could watch over you, as humans were so stupid that they often missed spots.
You dutifully scrubbed the steps and golden decorations while the god that your Master captured was being kicked around by him.
Your Master ordered Alatus to whip him again, and you heard grunts coming out of the strangers mouth. It sounded like he didn't have any strength left to scream.
For some reason you felt... sad? As if you didn't want this stranger to suffer. You were told that god's are heartless and humans are replaceable, so why do you feel sad for him?

You were tasked with giving the new prisoner food while he waited for his execution. It was weird.
He tried to talk to you. Like you weren't lower being. He thanked you for goodness sake. It wasn't something a god would do. Or maybe it was something your god wouldnt do?
You thought about this for a long time. This stranger was the kindest treatment you experienced in years. You couldn't let him die.
So now there you were, running with a torch and stolen keys through long and gloomy corridors, looking for him.
Your heart was racing and your mind was filled with terror. If you were caught, you would suffer. Why were you even doing this again? Humans weren't supposed to have free will, so why?
You saw him, chained to the walls behind thick bars. His wounded flesh angry red, wounds dirty with various spices that your Master ordered to smear in his wounds. He now looked weak, but you knew it was only because of that collar made of cursed metal. It was suppressing his godly powers.
But not for long.
Frantically you searched the keys and opened his cell. He looked at you shocked - he only saw light when he was dragged outside for torture. And you definitely looked too weak to do that. He was silent as you unchained him and freed his neck from that collar. Grabbing his hand, you stormed out, running towards the hidden exit.
As you stopped and opened door to the outside, you looked in his reptilian eyes.
"Free us please"
You didn't know where these words came from.
As he tried to speak, you heard ruckus and screams. Your Master felt his enemy being freed. You didn't listen to the stranger, pushing him outside and slamming the door, only telling him to go.
You then ran to servants quarters and laid down, praying that the chaos will buy him enough time.
You will be dead by tomorrow morning, but perhaps as you dared to hope, maybe some of the others will taste the freedom in their lives.

Zhongli, but he acts more like a big reptile/cat/dog and doesn't realize that, especially in private.
You catch him kneading your body when you cuddle, rubbing himself on you to leave his scent, wagging his tail when he is happy, when it's sunny, he lays down on a balcony with little clothing, during walks he sometimes stops hearing and sniffing around, he purrs when you scratch this one point on his head.
If you had a laser pointer, he would run after it. He sometimes follows reflections of your small mirror when you move it and you can see his hands twitching. Also, when he is happy and with only you, his slit like irises widen like a cats would. He also likes to collect pebbles during walks and more than once you caught him munching on a piece of cor lapis.
And when you are alone in the house and he trusts you, he lets it happen willingly, not stopping to avoid suspicion.

Hello, I'm almost done with my bachelor's degree and I'm in exam hell right now, but have this crumb
Consider: the great Rex Lapis of Liyue that has a short but fierce mortal so. Reader was found by the adepti while going against some god during archon war, on her own with a chipped sword and no vision, with power of nothing but anger and chaos trapped inside smol body. It was stupid, but to Morax' suprise, reader won somehow, almost dying in the proces, as killing a god frees their entire energy in a blast. In the last moment, Rex Lapis shielded her, saving her life. She then stood up to him, asking him if he also will destroy everything that she held dear. And that was the moment when he had his first crush (like a schoolboy) and reader got geo vision for her stubborness. Vision fell on Zhonglis head and fell into her hands.

If friendship level was indicating how characters were acting about you in impostor sagau, where you would be safest?
1-3 - they know something is wrong with you, but they still act as if you were the imposter
4-7 - they will ignore you. They won't help but they won't rush to capture you if u know what I mean
8-10 - they will help you hide and will try and act on the side to convince others that you are not an imposter
For me it's probably Mondstadt or Liyue
From Mondstadt I have friendship lv10 with Diluc, Barbara, Lisa, Amber, Kaeya, lv8 with Noelle and Bennett.
For Liyue i have Zhongli, Kazuha and Xiao on lv10, Ningguang, Yun Jin, Yanfei and Xiangling on lv8
In Inazuma, well... My raiden is on lv7 and rest is below lv5 so yeah, not good
In Sumeru I have to get to Tighnari, as he is on lv10, Cyno is on 6 so it's not the worst thing I guess

3) rely on shinobu to persuade itto (lv. 6) to take me in... but can i live as an arataki gang member? ........... probably not.....

i am loving this concept.... awkward but eager city boy curiously trying out the village life of a homebody!!! his mannerisms and speech and overall gestures suggests that he's a well-off gentleman with a high-standing in society, but he never really talks about his 'past' so you just don't want to assume. yeah, it's not like you're living in a fairytale of anything!
and then one day a big corporation threatens to level the whole village down to the ground because they have a 'master project' and your tiny insignificant little town is in their way... well. zhongli can't exactly have that now, can we?
he ends up buying your whole village plus the whole lands surrounding it.
the next time a representative from the corporation visits, zhongli faces them directly, tone cold and authoritative as he shoves the deed in front of them: "if you wish to buy my property i advise you to talk to my lawyers."

This is literally a scenario straight from my last half dreaming scenario (I'm not sure when I fell asleep during this lol)
So, after Rex Lapis established Liyue Harbour, and after the Archon War finally came to an end, his animalistic nature could not be silenced any longer.
He was going into rut and his body screamed that he had to migrate to the mating grounds, like any mature dragon, to find a mate for life and have children.
So finally after years and years, he left Liyue in the hands of the adepti, and flew across the sea to certain cluster of islands untouched by human hand, where all dragons of Teyvat every hundred years gathered to find a significant other.
When he arrives in all his draconic glory, there is no warm welcome. Him being a hybrid and being one of the smallest in size (I'm going of what we see in game and that his full dragon form is big like a bus, but not as big as Dvalin for example) put him as one of the least desirable, despite being one of the strongest. However dragons don't care about being a god or having a title of an Archon. What counts during the mating season is physical strength and size. Hybrids are also thought off as weaker and less potent, so they aren't a first choice for many.
Morax didn't want this to stop him though.
And then the biggest dragon he has ever seen lands near the islands, standing in the shallow water. It was a female that was a size of a biggest mountain, with giant wings capable of causing a storm and claws the size of a house.
And then he, the smallest of them all decided.
That was supposed to be his mate.
Qu茅 smol dragon zhongli giving gifts and trying to court giant dragon reader by using his mind and knowledge instead of his physical strength.
cries this is such a cute concept
what if you as the biggest dragon is actually just. yknow. a gentle giant despite their size. and perhaps a human fanatic as well hehehe

I think that it would've been funny, if during Morax angst teen years he met chaotic lover, who is not afraid to do the weirdest stuff with him.
Like if both were adeptal beasts and turned for the first time into human as Guizhong asked them, and start to crawl around naked and eat frogs, trying to figure out how humans work, while Guizhong and Osail run after them.

As you fell to the ground seeking shelter from my cruel eyes, it was I alone standing there to come and save you.
Got a little idea, since oftentimes reader is either a minor god or a mortal and there is big power imbalance. This time I wanted to do something a little different as you can say, with heretic reader I guess? Reader has a blade made out of unknown metal that allows them to absorb power of the gods. Since they killed a lot of god's, they are more powerful by anyone. (Since canonically god's in genshin explode when they die lol)
Reader was a human that didn't want some insecure god to enslave them, so they took the matters into their own hands.
The question is, will they spare one god that stood in their way or not?

Rex Lapis was one of the strongest gods among those, who dared to compete for a throne in the sky, yet he still was no all-knowing and invincible.
As fire roared and scorched the earth and divine blood soaked the ground, the dragon god was struck by a sword and send plummeting into the plains below.
The god who wounded him did not have any time to celebrate, as they knew that as long as the death was not confirmed, there was no victor.
God flew to the heaving body of once glorious dragon, now wounded and dirty, that was crawling away in the desperate attempt to flee. The distraction was done and people already escaped so there was no more time to buy.
As god raised his sword, a blade dark as night that seemed as nothing itself severed their head from their body.
Morax looked in horror, as his enemy's head landed with a soft plop next to his.
There was no explosion. There was no surge of power.
All that energy that this god once had was being greedily caught by this eerie blade and absorbed by a body of a mortal. Or at least something that was once a mortal.
The End of the Divine was standing right in front of him and he could do nothing more than growl.
He could only hope that Guizhong would survive on her own.
as per usual, luke says 'idea time' but blesses us with a fic. everyone says thank you luke for the delicacy 馃檹馃徎
that's a really interesting thought. celestia must really scorn the reader tho shdfljskldf i can't see the reader sparing morax in this scenario unless he proposed some kind of a very compelling contract, or if they had met in the past and reader is indebted to him somehow? ohhhhhhh i'm very interested to see where you would take the direction of the story if you ever wanna continue it!!!

He had a fear of sea for far more than he could remember. Which was pretty ironic considering that he chose the location of his main city to be at the edge of it.
And while he knew it was the best choice for his people, as Harbour would be the center of bountiful trade, he never wanted to step on the ship or sail across it. He was fine with coming as close to the edge as possible, often walking through docks and overseeing his subjects days, but he never crossed that edge willingly.
Not after what happened. Not after she was taken away by it. Not after the one who ruled over it betrayed him.
Sometimes perhaps his memory was too good.
Some angst with zhongli and dead s/o who drowned, because of osail perhaps???
