i’m loving the way they set up daisy jones and the six. it’s somehow very different from the book, but also very fitting in a way i’m not usually open to see when it comes to book to screen adaptations. but it fits. in a weird way it fits that they are the six even when they were never six to begin with, it fits that it’s fast paced and somehow it’s great. daisy and billy are perfect. karen is the true icon, and i had no doubt. i’m loving the way they subtly showed addiction and how little they knew about it, i love the rawness of camilla’s reaction to billy’s behavior, just like in the book. i love how they are already showing that there isn’t a perfect love, but there is a love that you choose, that you commit to and not let go even when things are hard. there is a time and a place.

How Daisy's facial expression changes throughout this whole sequence is fascinating - and quite heartbreaking.

Happy -> Lovestruck -> Confidently stating a fact -> Immediately embarrassed -> Hopeful -> Disappointed -> In pain -> In denial -> Sad

Literally from happy to sad. But there's a whole journey between the two emotions.

She hears Camilla come in, feels him pull away, but she does not look. It takes her a few seconds to do so. Painful to watch the heartbreak play on her face and in her eyes. None of it too obvious - she doesn't cry - you can see her controlling herself, and that makes it even more powerful. One of the most heartbreaking scenes for me.

Pairing: Simon Ghost Riley x Reader

Summary: Daisy won't fall asleep

a/n: I just slept 20 hours straight due to stress and anxiety, breaking my own record with that. My life is also in shambles right now, and I feel like shit because everything is stressful. Also, finals are coming up in a week and a half, which is just perfect timing. But do you all know what this means? You all get a one-shot from me because I always write either when I'm inspired or when I'm in a bad mood, and unfortunately, it's the latter. This one-shot is also extremely short, which I'm very sorry for, but it's been a while since I've written anything.

It was dark outside and only the moon was the current source of light.

Simon had kissed your forehead and told you to go back to sleep when Daisy's cry woke you up.

You had done so much already and Simon wanted you to finally rest as you accepted and closed your eyes.

Now it was just him sitting in the dark in front of the window with Daisy in his arms as she finally calmed down from her crying fit.

Daisy's big doe eyes were still a little glassy and her chubby cheeks were red from crying, but for Simon this was still the most beautiful sight.

If someone had told him that one day he would hold his daughter in his arms and feel like everything was finally okay, Simon wouldn't have believed them for a second.

But that's where he is now. With his daughter in his arms and you sleeping in the bedroom.

"Still not sleepy?" Simon's gruff voice broke the silence as he looked down at her tiny frame that was currently snuggled in his big arms.

And even though Daisy couldn't answer, he knew that she definitely wasn't going to sleep now, as she babbled mindlessly while holding her dad's index finger, sometimes even trying to bite it, while the corners of Simon's lips lifted at the sight of her.

He leaned down and planted a kiss on her little forehead as she giggled at the sensation.

"You should sleep, little rascal," he whispered, trying his best to get her to sleep as he slowly rocked her in his arms, but it didn't seem to help as she let out another giggle, making Simon roll his eyes.

"Giggle all you want, you're still going to bed whether you like it or not," Daisy only cooed when she heard that.

Simon just shook his head as he continued to rock her, "Never change," he whispered softly as he looked out the window at the empty streets, hoping that all the memories he had made with you and Daisy would stay with him forever.

You're going out with some old friends to the beach, and someone is jealous.

It's 3 a.m. now so there might be some mistakes but I'll make sure to fix them in the morning :)

“You sure ya gonna wear these?”

You raised an eyebrow when you stood at the front door, hearing Simon’s voice coming from behind.

“What’s wrong with my clothes?” You asked.

His eyes narrowed, scrutinizing you from your head to toe, and back to meet your gaze. “You wear too little.”

“Simon.” Crossing your arms in front of your chest, you sighed “This is normal, okay? No one wears a long trouser and a T-shirt to the beach, and definitely not when the weather is hot as hell.”

Simon wanted to tell you to change your clothes, he knew that once you stepped on the beach, you would become a lamb in a bunch of nasty wolves, especially when you looked so perfect — hair tied up into a high ponytail, white bikini on top only covered by a semi-transparent blouse, and that bloody daisy dukes, he glared at how it cupped your ass in such a charming way that would make all men crawl on four legs and drooling, and he wanted to poke their damn eyes even if he was just imagining now.

But, you were right, he couldn’t find a persuasive reason to tell you to change to other clothes.

so he sighed, walked to your side, and kissed you on your lips.

“then be careful, okay? Picked ya up at 9?”

“Sure, love you!” You returned the kiss and left your home with Simon’s gaze lingering on your back.

Simon waited anxiously at his car and kept looking at his watch while his left foot tapped at the floor. It was 9:05 now, and he still hadn’t seen you show up at the place you told him to pick you up.

He opened his phone, you and his chat stayed at 2 hours ago, which he told you he would arrive on time and you replied to him with an “okay!” rabbit sticker.

You weren't someone who would break your word, then why haven't you shown up yet? Were you all right? What if you get attacked by some fucking pervert? What if some crazy terrorist took you hostage and he couldn’t save you in time? What if...

Thousands of concerns rushed through his mind, making him more worried than before. He must calm down, his rational self told him, if you were in danger, he would know, and you weren't alone, you went to the beach with your old friends.

Well, what the rational part of him said was right, but when things were related to you, he just couldn't help but become overprotective.

When the watch showed that it was 9:10 now, and he finally couldn’t just stay here and wait for who knows how long without knowing your safety, he saw a familiar figure being supported by another person.

He quickly walked towards them, almost running, and he saw your arms wrapped around one of your girl friends’ shoulder, eyes darting and barely walking in a straight line, and when your eyes stopped on him, your face beamed up, and waved your arms in a big motion.

He didn’t notice he was holding his breath until he exhaled deeply once he saw you smile at him like an idiot, adorable one though.

“Simon ~ My handsome ~” You throw yourself into his chest, pawing at him like a crazy kitten. You are intoxicated obviously.

“Sorry, we played some beer pong and she lost almost every one of them, so she drank over 5 bottles of beer.” Your friend said in an apologetic tone.

Simon looked down at you clinging onto him like a koala, and sighed.

“Alright.”

but he was aware of how your other boy friends, standing behind the girls who supported you, watched your body with dirty eyes but shifted to intimidated ones when they noticed him glaring at each of them with his death stare.

Didn't want you to be exposed in those bastard’s eyes any longer, he quickly manhandled you into the passenger seat while you were mumbling some nonsense sentences.

On the way back to your home, Simon watched you sing along with whatever the music was playing on the radio, your hair was a little messy compared to when he saw you in the morning, but he still found you extremely beautiful, even prettier than usual with the red smeared at your cheek due to the alcohol.

but his mind quickly reminded him how your male friends looked at you with those perverted stares — just like what he presumed before you went out — and he wanted to punch them in their faces and bark at them till they never dared to look at you in that way.

At least you were safe, he reassured himself and turned the steering wheel to drive into the garage and park the car.

You were quiet now, but from the stupid grin on your face and the blurry eyes glued to him wherever he went, he knew you were still awake.

and when he dragged you out of the car, you became a clingy koala again, and he had no choice but to pick you up, struggling with the key to open the door with one hand, and put you down on the couch.

but when he was about to leave and get a towel for you, you pulled his arms, with a strong power he had no idea why you still had when you were so drunk, making him fall onto you with a grunt.

“Simon...I miss you so much...” You trapped him with all your limbs, and he pulled off a little to see your face, only to be pulled back into a lustful kiss.

Fuck, your body was feverish, and your soft lips were hotter than usual. You kissed him with a giddy passion and opened your mouth obediently when he returned the kiss, tongue slipped into your mouth and danced with yours sloppily.

Breaking the kiss, he nipped at your bottom lip and snarled at your face.

“Do ya know how I worried I was when ya didn’t show up? How jealous I was when your fucking friends looked at ya in such a dirty way?” He looked at your body, the blouse has already been thrown by you to god knows where before he dropped you on the couch, and at this angle, he could see how the bikini pressed your tits together wonderfully and showed your cleft to him. “and ya know how I want to just pushed you onto the dining table and fuck you till you couldn’t go out with your friends?”

Your smirk only became more mischievous when you heard what he said, and you pulled him down again, voice deep, and pressed your lips to his ear.

“I don’t know, Simon. How about you show me then?”

My thoughts (and prayer) while I'm diving in Daisy Jones & The Six finale:

— The whole sequence with Nicky in a hotel hall showcased found family trope so well. That was the moment I knew the band's break up is about to be the most painful part of this melodramatic conclusion.

— I think we all enjoyed Simone's story so much exactly because it was a very pinpoint but nuanced narrative and there's no fillers or unnecessary drama.

— I'm so glad they didn't kill Teddy off. Yes, it was the very strong moment in the book, but with this amount of ups and downs another low point would be exhausting for this narrative pace.

— When Eddie exclaimed "Grandma!" I awww-ed so loud that my own grandma came to check if everything is okay😂

— Also Eddie being enthusiastic about new heavier music at the same time he's bitter about Cami is so 2007 of him.

— Ugh, I'm usually Billy's apologist however "She's my wife. I never gonna leave her" somehow felt like the most asshole thing in relation to both of women. Also, dude, this is your mother's house, can you stop being a whore for at least a second.

— Little kiss of Warren and Lisa in the background of a Pittsburgh farewell was so cute. My boy deserved all the good things and he kinda got it in the end. Still the love my life.

— Something something Billy being the oldest member of the band. Something something Roy Kent being the oldest member of FC Richmond. Smth smth boys looking up at Billy since the beginning. Smth smth little Jaime Tartt is idolizing Roy. Smth smth Roy being able to pass his life experiences as a lessons to younger mates and looking after them even when their are cocky shit. Smth smth Billy failling as a leader to read the room and prioritize people and him being a cocky shit himself. Smth smth about Eddie need for validation being constantly overlooked and him losing it even though he knows he's quite good.

— Everyone's costuming for the Chicago show was so fucking hot.

— "More Fun To Miss" scene was indescribably insane. I want to punch them both in a face, I want to put self exploding bracelets on their legs and forbid to move closer than 100 steps. I want them to fuck nasty.

— As great as Daisy and Cami's conversation was in the book, it's kinda cool that Daisy made the decision to let Billy go and come clean on her own.

— Look, here the thing: I don't like what they did to Billy and Camila as couple. But I do like what they did for them individually. And yes, Camila is way more jealousy and bitter, but it's also feels rawer and more real than a straight from a pedestal woman who never communicated her frustration and insecurities to her partner.

— In conclusion it's not perfect but very compelling adaptation with an absolutely phenomenal cast. I loved Riley since "Logan Lucky' and she was born for this part. I had zero expectations for Camila Morrone and she did justice to proud spirit of book!Camila even when the script was against it. And Sam, the actor you are... There's was no need to go that hard on this but I'm glad that he did.

other anon is right djats show>>>>>>>>> the book. like riley and sam. that's it. period. cause the entire book is just billy lying and downplaying his relationship with daisy so you spend 90% of it thinking he's full of shit and having to read inbetween the lines of what really went down with him and daisy since most of their relationship is allegedly them barely speaking or interacting except on stage. camila also deified to an annoyingly unrealistic degree so thank god we have the show to be like "nah this is what actually happened. daisybilly kissing. daisybilly falling in love. daisybilly sneaking out for lunch dates. daisybilly crossword puzzle love confessions. daisybilly backstage hookups" as far am i'm concerned the show is what really happened and the book was just the story the band wanted to tell 😂

I feel like one of the big issues with book stans / Camila Stans is they read the book and thought that Billy choosing Camila meant that he loved her more when that was never the case. Billy chose stability because of his past. So when you see that on the show it looks like Camila got the raw end of the deal when that’s always what Camila represented they just finally understand that him picking Camila doesn’t mean he loves her more. I mean they spelt it out in the book.“Passion is...it's fire. And fire is great, man. But we're made of water. Water is how we keep living. Water is what we need to survive. My family was my water. I picked water.” I do think Billy convinced himself over time that he did choose to love Camila more but the fact remains that Camila was a choice. That’s what you get from him in the books and in the last episode with Julia but Daisy was never a choice. Daisy was someone he couldn’t help but be drawn to and feel something so deeply for that he risk ruining his hard fought stability for “How could I be around Daisy Jones and not be mesmerized by her? Not fall in love with her. I couldn't. I just couldn't.”

its absolutely wild how book purists are sooo mad about the daisy and camilla hotel scene being taken out of the book/reworked into a different type of conversation, but when I finally decided to go look it up for myself it didn't give me woman supporting woman feminist vibes like people claim. like its not woman destroying woman either it just feels neutral. cami really tells daisy "he will never leave me" and daisy only gets clean because camila is the one to tell her that she should. IDK MAN i think its more powerful in the show where its daisy being self aware enough to tell cami "he will always choose you!" and for daisy to be the one to realize she needs to get clean because this life is really bad for her. not because, 'camila dunne thinks I'm worth saving' LIKE HELLO?? the book seems like it makes cami out to be this perfect angel woman. WHERE'S HER FEMININE RAGE!! HER MAN IS DEEP IN LOVE WITH SOME OTHER WOMAN AND CANT EVEN ADMIT!! i think she deserved to be mad as hell instead of whatever saintlike behavior she exhibits in the book. sorry I just needed someone to listen to my rant about the scene that so many people keep calling Emotional and Powerful when really cami deserved to be mad as hell and daisy deserved to be an active participant in her own life.

It's kinda crazy to me that Camila is the one in the book that basically tells Daisy to leave and quit the band to go to rehab. They don't even interact that much prior to this, and I always hated that part in the book. On 1 hand we know daisy is leaving a toxic situation, but we don't get the feeling that she'll be OK. If anything we feel that she's alone, and because( and this is how it felt to me ) that the band chose Cami over her. Cami is described like this virgin mary can do no wrong character, and her alienating daisy from the band just felt nasty( especially considering the band never had Camis back ). I love that in the show they gave Daisy that power, along with the fact that both Teddy and Simone are still clearly there for her and supportive of her choice( also showing Warren there for her too later on ) Like I don't understand why people wanted them to be friends so bad 😫 it's weird for the wife and the mistress to be friends, especially given how Daisily were in the show...

The ending didn’t work in the books either imo. In the books Camila tells Daisy I know he loves you but he’s never going to leave me. Like girllll you know your man is in love with another woman snd you just okay with that? She was entirely too accepting at least in the show she’s wasn’t okay with and was rightfully hurt & angry but then again Camila as a character was kinda bleh. Every time Billy talked about her I just rolled my eyes because he was overcompensating so hard.

I think the funniest antis are the ones that are clearly Camila Stans that claim DaisyBilly were “ruined” by the show bc they made out. That them having more physicality in their relationship some how changed the nuance. Like you can have a twin flame relationship and also be very attracted to each other. One does not take away from the other. And it’s frankly unbelievable that anyone believes that Daisy & Billy had a connection like they had and NEVER gave in not for one single second. Like please

When I tell you the show ending is so much better. And it’s not even the ending exactly it’s how they get to that ending that’s soooo much better. In the books they handed all of Billy & Daisy’s agency to Camila. In the show it felt like they all had agency and it was sooo much better.

I went through different levels of fear with Billy during this scene, even though I knew she wouldn't die. Sam Claflin is an amazing actor. I could feel his terror pulsate through the screen. He and Riley absolutely smashed in this episode.

The hellish vision he must have had when she wouldn't wake up and he raised his head, hopeless and terrified...

Then Daisy's relieved "It's you" as she gazed all over his face. I didn't feel her surprise, only her sense of having confirmed something she already believed to be true.

Perfect.

Or... Where i make a list (no ratings) with the actresses that i've seen Sam have more believable chemistry with and look cute on screen, even if I think that he so good that he could act romantically with a flowerpot...

But i digress.

I adore Verónica, I actually met her once in a restaurant with my family, she was super nice with us !

So i was greatly surprised to see her in a film with Sam. I love the Book of Love, it's super underrated, tbh. Their chemistry was on top and I liked their story too.

I like Astrid a lot, she has an intriguing aura, she and Sam were the few good things about the movie , their ship was so cool. I liked them a lot!

I like Stef as Annie, she was cute and delicate, perfect for that character. They were amazing, in fact one of my otps.
